This book is 80% regurgitated material from Bushcraft 101 and Advanced Bushcraft (almost word for word), 15% recipes, and 5% new material. This shouldn' be a book, but a blog post on his website. I was expecting a more nuanced and in-depth approach for the trapping and gathering portion, sadly this is where most of the repetition comes from. Major disappointment. One more to go.

This book was a cool pick- I learned a lot for sure like how to skin a fish, cook on my car engine, build a fire, and spices good for the body

A practical resource

I grew up outdoors in the Appalachian mountains of Western North Carolina using a lot of things Dave teaches and explains. These books are an excellent refresher for me, reminding me of forgotten skills and introducing some really cool and interesting new ones. I highly recommend the series.

A fun survey of some bushcraft ideas, but not really detailed enough to teach you much. Maybe it would be a great start for someone who sees it on the sale table at Barnes and Noble and browses their first bushcraft techniques.

A great guide

This is yet another great guide from Canterbury. I loved the photographs that are included. The recipes are wonderful! I can't wait to try a few. This is an especially great addition for anyone interested in campfire and primitive cooking. Loved it!

Helpful for writers who need to know a thing or two more about survival in the great outdoors than they already do (haha!).

This book is disappointing. If you are 10 years and want some ideas...
Dave's YouTube are pretty good. This is definitely not a "Good read".

A little light on detail and definitely recommendation heavy on particular items and manufacturers, but a fun read. The recipes are an excellent bonus.
