Review of book 1 The Moorigad Dragon:
I have just finished the 1st book of the 3 book Moorigad series. I am a paranormal book fan and am familiar with the regular paranormal species: Vampires, werewolves, shifters, walkers, zombies, elves, angels, demons, nephilm, witches, wizards...well you should get the picture. This is the first time I've dealt with a dragon shifter, let alone a place to live that is "alive". I found that the fast moving pace of the book with it's different characters (with their relationships and what they are), along with the shifts onto different planes of existance made it so I kept going back to read things over again to make absolutely sure I understood it. Please do not let that last sentence discourage you from reading the books. It is refreshing to read about something new. And Ms. Kristi's imagination and writing style is fast (almost whirly), colorful, and ever shifting. It'll be interesting to see how book 2 & 3 of the series brings.

Book 2 of the Moorigad Collection- "Reap Not the Dragon".
Book 2 was voiced by Sebastian, which I found easier to read. It seemed that his thinking was at a steady even pace and therefore easier to read. Sebastian is an anomoly. His mother and father, being both dark entities (from what I understand...at least with mom's side which is grey for me), should not have gave birth to a male child. But instead of embracing either his father or mother's supernatural line, he runs away to the circus to be who he wants to be. Kind and "normal". He just wanted to live a life that didn't have anything to do with his mother or father, denying his abilities. His mother doesn't have any interest in him AT ALL, yet his dad has interest in him, and pursues him, trying to get him to embrace the family business. In rescuing Kyra from certain death, Sebastian's was forced to make the decision to be like his father and his father's training. So Kyra is still alive, but doesn't know anything about herself. Her captor is pure evil. Controlling and sucking her true self out of her...literally...to benefit his own end. Reading this section, you can't help rooting for both Kyra and Sebastian. Loving the lengths that Sebastian will go to to save Kyra. Becoming aware that Kyra knows or feels that what life she is leading at the time is not who she is. The end of book 2 had a positive ending but opened up the door to another chapter in their life. Kyra's back physically, but Sebastian now has to do what he's been avoiding his entire life.He is going to turn to his dad for help, since he accidentally received the portion of of Kyra's being that she is missing...and he doesn't know how to correct that. I enjoyed book 2 more than book 1. Book 1 was necessary as it laid the ground work of the story. If the books continue to get better, I look forward to the next in the 3 book series, "Plight of the Dragon".
"I received a copy of this book in exchange for a review”.

Book 3 "Plight of the Dragon"
Being the 3rd book I got an eveb better grasp of the dragon, mara, reaper, and the shifting carnival thing. This book is fast paced and will keep your attention. I think of a large portion of this book being like an action scene of a movie...very detailed and action packed. The characters are now developed in full, and that makes things so much better I would say more, but feel that I would be revealing too much for the readers of the 1st 2 books. I'm just happy with how everything worked out for Sebastian and Kyra...and all the other characters. So many twists and turns and a bunch of "what the hells".

Debra Kristi takes you into her beautifully magical world. This world is very complex and is full of secrets. If you aren't careful at Mystics, you may get lost. It is always changing.

The Moorigad Dragon Collection consists of three different books: The Moorigad Dragon, Reap Not the Dragon, and Plight Of the Dragon. I absolutely loved having all the books in front of me. I didn't have to wait to find out what happened next.

This story is about a young girl who decides to run away, because she no longer fits in with her own famiy. To her surprise, Mystic's carnival finds her.

"Mystic's brought you here through the mural's portal. She's been watching you for a while now and decided you needed a place to call home."

Here is where she meets Sebastian, who is also a runaway. Sebastian means the world to Kyra and makes the carnival feel like home to her.

"No longer did she burn, nor did he freeze. Their touch was a perfect body warmth."

Kyra and Sebastian see a man who needs help. Kyra risks exposing her true form to save this man. Little do they know, this man will ruin Kyra and try to wedge his way between Kyra and Sebastian. This man, Marcus, ends up being a horrible man who wants to steal Kyra's dragon. He ends up succeeding and both Kyra's and Sebastian's parents end up getting involved. The battle take place at Mystics, and is full of dragons, reapers, maras and more. I won't spoil anything for you, so you will have to read the book to see what happens to Kyra's dragon and where she and Sebastian stand at the end.

Debra Kristi had to of selected each character and detail before being placed into this story. Kristi puts so much into her characters. Her characters are so vivid and real that they easily come alive in your head as you read.

These books were so beautifully written. The characters and story line completely surprised me. I am very sad that the story has come to an end. I feel so close to the characters and so emotionally connected to their problems.

I highly recommend these books and anything else that Debra Kristi writes! Her mind is a powerful place.

"They were still standing, side by side. Kyra wrapped her hand in Sebastian's, interlacing their fingers in a snug, never- breaking love knot."

Moorigad

A splendid fantasy full of romance, adventure and heart-stopping danger. The more I read from the series the more I fell in love with the characters.
There were so many twists and turns I had a hard time putting this series down.
I enjoyed the unique fantasy creatures and storyline that this book presented.
I definitely recommend this series to fantasy lovers out there.

This was a great read and I am glad that I was given the chance to read the entire series in one go. I always hate when I read the first book of a series and fall in love with things and can't just move right into the next books in the series. I appreciate when authors combine them down for is so that we can read the whole series at one time. This means that I can binge read, and then be sad when I am done and don't have any more to read.

Kyra is a great lead character. She is flawed but in the good way, where you can relate to her in some ways. Now I can't relate to her dragon side, but I do wish I could. She is not perfect, and that makes her more real for me. And that means she is someone that can grow and change, which she does through out the series. She is great!

One could fall head over heals for Sebastian. He is a great character as well. He gives that part of Kyra that she is lacking as you read the story. He grows as well, which so helps him take on that lead male role.

I would recommend this book and really I think that it's going to be something that a teenager would like to read as well as an adult. There is nothing too massively bad in it and I think that it would be something that would draw any reader in.

Disclaimer: I received a copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review.
When I was looking at books to read this collective of 3 books caught my eye. I have always been a fan of paranormal shifter books. I was enthralled at the idea of a dragon hybrid shifter. No other author had ever written about this new possibility before. There is a lot to like about this collective as it tries to stay true to the main plot throughout the 3 books. However for me it raised more questions than it answered. A prequel would really be a nice way to introduce you to the Mystic Carnival which is the main setting for all 3 books. A little background of how , why, & who on some of the characters would give the 3 books a more rounded feeling. Instead of being in the dark half the time as to who is who & how everybody relates to the Carnival. Also, background stories on the 3 main characters would be a major plus. A fourth book to tie the ending together, explaining loose threads would also be appreciated. I personally feel the author Mickey Moused the ending. There was so much more potential to this series. For those reasons I am giving this collective 3 out of 5 stars.

Disclaimer: I received a copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review. These books ( the 3 in the series) are fantastic. As soon as I had read the first page, I could not put the books down. I read them all the way through and then went to Debra's sites looking for more of her work. The characters are well developed. The story is fresh and new, magical and also real. The place where the story happens is a place we have all wanted to visit. I wanted to go visit, set up camp and stay. Please do yourself a favor and read the book. I rarely give 4 star reviews. This one is worth the 5.

I have read the first four books of this series, it caught my attention from the very beginning! I was back in forth on why did that happen and who is the bad guy! Seriously you have hybrids (mixed species) you have a carnival that moves n changes, dragons and ect. These books brought out a world of family feuds betrayal love and lies. I think anyone and everyone should read this fantasy series it is unlike any I have read.

Debra Kristi has a wonderful imagination that takes you to another world! A world I would love to see (the carnival) lol!

I loved this collection of stories. Once I started reading, there was no putting them down no matter what else needed to be done. They move along at the perfect speed, have characters that you will fall in love with and want to see happy no matter what and a story that is both interesting and entertaining which will keep you reading from beginning to end. This collection needs to be read, you will not be sorry that you did so.

This collection consists of three books which tell the tale of Kyra, a Moorigad dragon shifter, born with the fire dragon abilities of her father and the water dragon abilities of her mother. She is called an abomination and told to choose which side of the family she is going to belong to, but ends up running away from a marriage she doesn’t want and a choice she wasn’t ready to make. She enters a convenience store when really hungry, looking to grab some food before her dragon comes out and causes any chaos to the humans around her. But as she runs out the shop with some bags of jerky, she is pursued by a cop, only managing to get away when she falls through a wall, decorated with the image of a carnival. She ends up being met by blond old man Zeke, the gatekeeper of the real life magical carnival she has found herself within. She settles down and starts working as a fire breather for the carnival and makes a good friend in Sebastian, a tarot reader and possible love interest. She is just about to find out what his deepest secrets may be and what he actually is, when she makes a decision that will change everything!

Sebastian has also run away from his family, his father in particular and he is also of mixed abilities from both of his parents and a father that wants him to be trained up in his line of work. Kyra is taken for a day out, back into the mundane world by Sebastian and just as he is about to open up, a man is attacked by some other men and falls from the bridge overhead and into the water. She feels a pull towards him and while Sebastian wants her to do nothing, she jumps in and saves his life. His name is Marcus and his time was supposed to be up. He has the tooth of an ancient dragon ancestor around his neck, but seems to be human to Kyra, so she can’t figure out why she feels the need to help him. But this is going to be a bad decision and one that will break apart the two friends and any chance of a relationship they were about to begin. She asks for a powerful magic to be done to keep Marcus from death and loses her dragon to him, whilst keeping him safe and ending up badly injured herself in her human only state. When she wakes, Marcus is by her bed and she can’t remember anything about herself or her past, not even about her dragon Kalrapura.

Sebastian is forced back into working for his father and doesn’t manage to see Kyra for about a month, to find she is now working, but being closely watched by a friend of Marcus, and has little control over her own life. Sebastian runs into her by accident in a café and it seems she has been remembering something about her past and thinking of him since they last met at the flat, when magic stopped him from getting in. Marcus has been gathering different dragons and holding their essences, ready to take their powers for himself, to make him the strongest dragon of all, and to take back what he believes is his. A former dragon called Davies, has his own little army fighting to keep Marcus and others from the mundane world, working in company with Sebastian’s own father to send Marcus to Purgatory to begin with. Their actions have a lot to answer for and it seems his father isn’t just reaping souls, but is happy to prematurely claim them as well! Something that deeply upsets Sebastian and causes more problems with Davies, as one was his daughter Alice. A massive battle is coming between Kyra’s father and Marcus, but Davies and Sebastian’s father are right in the mix as well. Sebastian and Kyra, as well as her dragon, are key to trying to force a peaceful outcome and the carnies all come together to protect what and who is theirs! Part of the secrets of the carnie are revealed and that of both Higgins and Zeke, in being part of the magic of the carnival. Lots more to discover and some key magic going on, with Sebastian determined to help Kyra get back to her normal self and not become someone else’s pawn. An interesting trilogy which definitely comes into full blown action and excitement in the final book. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

This is an amazing series. I read all three books together which worked out really well. Had I read them individually, I would probably have been upset because they are basically one (really big) book split into three. But in reading them together, I get the entire story. I would have liked a little background on the carnival – it’s intriguing. A place for paranormals that is alive itself and changes around at various times so you’re never quite sure where you are. Maybe a prequel to give us background on the carnival and the people who live there. The world building is incredibly complex. And the characters—especially Kyra and Sebastian—are well done. I loved Higgins and Zeke too, and several others as well.

What I liked: World building is amazing. Characters too. Loved the Carnival that is alive. Cried when…not giving it away… someone died. That means I was invested in the story and the author pulled me in emotionally. Having Kyra and Sebastian both be hybrids gives them something in common, and something each has to deal with on different levels. Kyra’s family doesn’t want her. Sebastian’s father wants to control him. Interesting conflicts. I found book two easier to read than one, but both (actually all three) are good.

What I didn’t like: I had trouble following at times where we were. Carnival? Earth? Purgatory? Somewhere else? Don’t get me wrong, the world building was beyond well-done. But I just had trouble following sometimes.

Recommendation: Love fantasy? Love dragons? Love all things paranormal? Then pick this series up. You won’t be disappointed.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

After the writer was challenged to write a Carnival story, I want to mention it because the writer did a very good job. The story was right up into my ally especially the dragon part. It was awesome and like the Mystic Carnival where Kyra finds herself, it is unpredictable. The whole Carnival was a roller-coaster for sure.

As reading along, it seems to me that the Mystic Carnival has her own personality. Is she influenced by the moods of the Carnival people when she relocates them to another place? Or has Zeke something do to with it? I also love the dragon part with Kyra's story, but I am not sure about Death. Though Sebastian as Death collector is also influenced by his Mara side. And further down the line, I grow fond of Sebastian's character.

The book is amazing, love the action and sometimes haphazardly situations where Kyra and Sebastian find themselves in. It also teaches you that true Love never dies. This story has everything, friendship, love, magic, betrayal, family rejection, action, judgement, sickness and a whole range of emotions , but most of all determination.

This is definitely a gem of a story, the surroundings beautifully displayed, the people, the dragons and Death... and the Carnival itself, open 24/7. A magical journey through the world of Carnival, Death and Dragonshifters.

Carnival of everywhere…

Kyra may be an octogenarian by human standards, but she is young for a dragon. Her hybrid duality as both fire and water dragon leaves her trapped between clans and pulled by both ruling parents to choose one and abandon the other. They would plan her life but she has her own plan to escape and hide among the humans. A fine plan, but with no friends or resources she is caught stealing food and in the resulting chase Kyra falls through a portal that leads to Mystic’s Carnival. Mystic’s sentience caters to the supernatural. It periodically moves and spontaneously rearranges itself. Kyra is not the only one who has found refuge there. The tarot card reader Sebastian is also a hybrid, a Reaper-Mara, trying to avoid the destiny chosen by his father, the Grim Reaper. Kyra and Sebastian could not be more different but there is a pull between them. It leads to a close friendship and a desire to have much more if they can survive power struggles, spells, kidnappings, battles, death, and arranged marriages.

This three-part collection is packed with paranormal action and intrigue. I can definitely see it leading to other books about some of the other characters and I am hungry for more! I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.

Debra has created a compelling alternate contemporary reality for this clean romance trilogy. Her characters each strive for autonomy under steep family expectations, eased by the intervention of the bubble of reality known as the Mystic's Carnival. As it seems aimed at young adults, that is how the lovers behave emotionally. What we develop internally in order to mature, this hybrid dragon and hybrid demon get to act upon in the outside world, undoing snarls of karma for the four subspecies involved along the way. The journey is intriguing and vivid.

On the minus side, the grammar is really strained and quite often we come across sound-similar words used in the wrong context, which would give a non-native speaker of English a lot of trouble trying to follow the author's intent. Spellcheck lets those things through, when a professional editor could have caught and clarified them. As an editor I could usually intuit my way through, but not always. Young adults might pick up these malapropisms and think they are acceptable, causing lasting damage to their verbal and written ability. Please clean up. So I took off one star.

Moorigad, Complete Collection

This book is great. If you love carnivals and all the different people that work at the carnivals, you are in for a fun ride.
Kyra has run away from her parents because they are trying to force her which dragon family to choose between. Her father is a fire dragon and her mom is a water dragon and Kyra ended up with both characteristics.
She accidentally finds the circus when she is running from the police where she had stolen jerky from a store. It is a magical circus. Only certain people can find this circus, since it is magical.
She meets Sebastian there and they become friends. Everything is going good for the first eight months until Sebastian takes her on an outing outside the circus into the real world. They witness a man being beat up by three other men and thrown from the bridge.
Kyra feels a connection to him and jumps in to save him. By doing this, she causes a lot of bad things to happen to herself and others. There is mysteries and suspense throughout the rest of the books. The biggest mystery is about Kyra's dragon, Moorigad.

Everything Debra Kristi writes is fantastic. This collection of 3 books in does not disappoint! The two main characters, Kyra and Sebastian are wonderfully written and their growth is seen as you go from book one to three. Kyra runs away from her family to join a mystical carnival. She is a dragon hybrid shifter which in itself is unusual. Sebastian also runs away from his family and their dark ways and also joins the carnival. Once you begin the first book, you are caught and can't put the books down. Kyra and Sebastian form a tight friendship with perhaps romance on the side as they escape dangers and evil. These books treat us to absolute non-stop adventure, romance and incredible descriptions of a world of fantasy that is fun to read. All three books must be read in order since one book leads you to the next. I really liked this series and following two really good and likeable characters as you see them go through some tough times together. I received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

A 4 Star read
This exciting collection will grab you by your imagination and hold on to you with its authentic characters and remain in your mind long after you finish this collection.
The Moorigad Dragon – Part 1
This tale s full of twists, action, drama, with enough intrigue to hold your interest.

Reap Not the Dragon – Part 2
This is the second installment and the series is getting even better. This continues the storyline that began in part 1, taking us even further into the lives of Sebastian and Kyra. This tale is told from Sebastian’s POV, answering questions of why he feels as he does for his family.

Plight of the Dragon – Part 3
In part 3 we have the conclusion for this storyline. For me, it is a bit disjointed as it jumps between the main characters' POV, and did not flow well. This installment has plenty of action and drama, but ended abruptly and left me with even more questions than answers.

I love any book that has dragons so this one definitely intrigued me. The author weaves a new mystical world that we find our two protagonists Kyra and Sebastian living in. They go in and out of the real world and this mystical world while battling problems all young people battle. They also battle with their feelings for each other in a true coming of age tale.

The author does a good job of character and world development. There are many plot twists and turns that keep the reader engaged and guessing as to what comes next. I really like this series and glad that the author chose to put all three books into one collection. This way I could just transition from book one to book two and then on to book three without having to go find the next book in my vast Ebook library.

If you like dragons, shape shifting, fantasy or romance then this book is for you.

This is an action-packed paranormal fantasy romance about two coming-of-age would-be lovers, Kyra and Sebastian. Their choices and decisions will have far-reaching impact for both of them! Kyra, the Moorigad dragon-shifter, runs away from her family and finds herself at Mystic’s Carnival, a supernatural world between realms that pulled her in, and she meets Sebastian.

I enjoyed this awesome dragon collection from start to finish! The characters are well developed and personable, the chemistry between the main characters was sizzling. The story lines flowed smoothly from the beginning to the end with plenty of action and suspense. Titles included are: THE MOORIGAD DRAGON, REAP NOT THE DRAGON, and PLIGHT OF THE DRAGON.

YOU CAN’T DECIDE WHO YOU LOVE

I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review.

Kyra is a mixed-breed dragon, fire and water, who has run away from her parents who are trying to force her to marry a mate of their choice from their clan. She stumbles upon the Mystic Carnival and meets Sebastian, a half-breed mix of Mara, fear manipulators, and Reaper.

She meets Marcus and is the cause of someone’s death and is sent to Purgatory where Sebastian frees her. However, Marcus causes her to lose her memory and her dragon. Marcus’s misdeeds lead Sebastian on a deadly trail to free Kyra from Marcus’s grip. In doing so, the unexpected happens.

This story is full of twists, magic, subterfuge, and ultimate sacrifice. There is plenty of action for everyone.

So Kyra is half water dragon/ half fire dragon and she ran from her demanding parents to live at a magical carnival. There she becomes very close with Sebastian even though he is really secretive about himself. Overall they are loving life and then one day everything changes and it seems like every bad thing that could ever happen just comes flying at them.

This was definitely entertaining and kept you wanting to read just one more chapter. There was just a lot, a lot of characters and a lot of types of creatures at times it was a little hard to keep everything straight. But, Sebastian and Kyra were a great couple that you rooted for from the very beginning.

Kyra and Sebastian’s story, “Moorigad: A Mystic’s Carnival Story.” This story starts out with a lot of mystery. You meet many characters and find out what Kyra and Sebastian are. Both are hybrids, Kyra is a water and fire dragon, moorigad, and she is being forced to pick one over the other. Sebastian is a Grimm reaper and a Mara, he is not sure what he is. There are stories within stories and some of the mysteries are solved but some are never really told. A very interesting story with lots of twists and turns. Love the carnival setting. My favourite characters are Zeke and Higgins.

Kyra is a Moorigad, a dragon born of a fire and a water dragon. She is seen as an abomination until she runs away and becomes a carnie at Mystic. Here she fits right in and her best friend Sebastian helps. Sebastian is fairly secretive about some things, and without wanting to, she puts him in danger by helping a drowning man. This is the beginning of a fairly epic story, thrilling and full of suspense, with a little fun and entertainment added into the mix.
A good trilogy - well balanced and well-written.

Moorigad: Complete Age of the Hybrid Series is a paranormal romance/fantasy about two coming-of-age would be lovers, Kyra and Sebastian's union and strength of character will be put to the ultimate test. The stakes? Everything and everyone that ever mattered to them.

The synopsis of this series about a Mystic Carnival is intriguing. This is a fast paced novel with multifaceted characters. At times, I needed to go back and reread to make sure I understood it. This author creates a very vivid artistry world. A magical world that is very complex with many layers of secrets to unravel.
What's missing? A prequel to the Mystic Carnival which explains more about it along with background details of the main character's would make it a easier enjoyable read. World building details were missing & if they were better detailed & subscribed I feel it would be easier to understand. Overall, the writing style is creative and this author creates a magical crisp new world brimming with action.

Meet Kyra and Sebastian two paranormal people who meet at a mysterious Carnival. They both end up there somehow and why they are there is part of the story. the story was action packed, interesting and fun to read. It had danger, suspense, mystery, and mysterious characters. I enjoyed the 3 books and the randomness and secrets. I loved watching Kyra and Sebastian get close, take a step back, and get close again. A good friendship that seemed to be getting closer as the stories went. Secrets abound but that was half the fun.

Kyra is a Moorigad. Half Fire Dragon, half Water Dragon. Sebastian is half Maya, half Reaper. Sparks fly when Kyra and Sebastian meet in Mystic's Carnival, a sentient being catering to the Supernatural population. Things begin going wrong when Kyra's Dragon rescues Marcus whose soul Sebastian is supposed to reap. All three stories in this set are full of action with lots of ups and downs. Highly recommended.

This had the potential to be an interesting story but boy did it disappoint.
While it might have gotten better and answered all the questions I had after the prologue and first chapter the jumping of pov just ruined it. The prologue from the fl sets up her character fairy well and the fair she ends up in but then jumps not only time but characters
The second character has no development and background to make me want to continue.

Absolutely loved it! I had read the first book previously, but enjoyed the refresher to get back into the story.
A mystical haven for a hodge-podge collection of supernaturals is the setting for a confusion of old hatred, rivalry, a struggle for supreme power, as well as caring souls, empathy and love. All wrapped in a thick cloak of magic. Sebastian and Kyra fight against the perceived negative aspects of their heritage and finally find their true selves.
