I never thought I'd find my soulmate through a mail-order bride agency. I never thought he'd be an alien warrior.

He calls me naima. His beloved.

When I'm on my way to meet him face-to-face, my shuttle is attacked, and we crash onto a planet in the middle of a war. I didn't sign up to be an alien comfort woman. I need my naima to rescue me.

This story takes place in the TerraMates universe, but can be read as a standalone novel.

I have to say that my enjoyment of this book came from the action-adventure aspect of it rather than the romance. There was actually no romance to it. Laz barks at her and can't seem to relate to anyone who's not a soldier; she tears up and constantly does stupid things that place her in danger. They spend the whole time miscommunicating and having to apologize for outbursts and bad behavior. Rather than growing closer and having growing feelings for each other they just lust for each other until they have sex. I wonder what their marriage will be like since even this desperate life and death situation hasn't brought them closer and more emotional with each other. So the great close escapes and survivalist details were what carried the story. My favorite part was all the cool gear that Laz carried in his seemingly bottomless backpack. There were, unfortunately some holes and inconsistencies in the story. For instance, despite Laz being some hotstuff general, she saves him at least three times from being shot while he is focused on other things. Also, in spite of been poor and debt ridden (which makes her offer herself to Terramates) she is wearing diamond earrings. This is my first Terramates and I'm not inclined to try any of the others based on this one.

Somewhere along the line, maybe after the second or third book, this series became less about actual romance and more about aliens and action. And of course, raunchy sex.

I personally have no problem with that. What I have a problem with is going into each book expecting a meaningful relationship to unfold and being disappointed.

Laz sees Gabriella on the terramates app through their cameras. After this one instance he chooses her as his bride. The app notifies her and she accepts. On her way to him the shuttle is attacked by warring aliens and the brides on board are taken. Laz is a general and upon seeing his bride has been taken, he comes to her rescue. He's not a soft man, there are no words of endearment. But neither are his actions sweet.

In fact, there are no 'I love you's' in this book. Only the eventual escape and raunchy sex. No warm fuzzies. No romance. No nothing. I must have fallen asleep during the romance part of this romance?

Boring, and not scifi

Just because you include some space crafts, and name some planets, doesn't make it SciFi. Everyone and everything in this story was similar to earth. The names Marshall, Dallas, calling a strip club a gentleman's club, seedy hotel, food, everything is the same as earth. The author didn't even try. Its like she wrote a regular military sort of romance story, but figured it wasn't that interesting. So she said hey let's add in a spaceship, an alien planet but keep everything the same. Problem is its still uninteresting and reads like a story based on earth.

When you stop looking for what you want the stars will align and give you what you need, it is a small universe after all! This is especially true for Laz and Gabriella. They are on the fast track but not to love. Gabriella lands right in the middle of the war between two planets. Her mail order husband is a soldier through and through but when he goes to rescue her things go from bad to worse and his harsh treatment of her is anything but romantic. After their dangerous adventures together they find that maybe they were fated to be together.

I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily decided to review it

Another great story in the Terramates mail order bride series, Gabriella marries Laz through the terramates mail order bride organisation, but her transport ship is bought down by aliens and she crashes into another planet, will she ever escape and meet her new husband?

Well written, great characters including 2 feisty MCs, excitement danger and romance. I recommend this story it us a great read and I thoroughly enjoyed it

Hm…
Perhaps the most unromantic so far, quite confusing and illogical.
On the one hand we have a tough guy, Laz, who is the strongest soldier and operative for an entire planet, and on the other hand he is quite careless. We have sworn enemies, who in some situations are still friends. We have soal mates who are not really kindred spirits.
But I wouldn’t know how someone who has been a soldier all his life treats his sweetheart, so his attitude is quite repulsive to me in most cases. It turns out that terramates are practically desperate women, so they allow themselves everything, and on the other hand, the universe wants to connect them so much that they find themselves across another galaxy ( which could have been the basis for a great romance ).
Honestly, the book was more interesting to me because of the action than the romance... But. in the end HEA :)

Murphy' law

It would seem that Gabrielle's life is an ongoing example of Murphy's law. If it could go wrong, it will. First, her spacecraft is attacked and the brides (she is one) are captured by the bad guys,, the Xylo. After an unpleasant time in the cells, they are rescued by our hero Sebastian. But as they tried to get away, their ship is blow up and end up running for the Forrest, conveniently not far from the blown up ship. And this is only the beginning.
There is an interesting storyline and good character development. If I tell you more,it will ruin it for you. So, get it and find out all the adventures our heroine has.

I loved this Terramates and I didn't care for it much at the same time.
The only reason why I couldn't fully love it like I wanted was because of Laz's attitude toward Gabriella through most of the book. I mean I get that he is a military guy and that's how he functions but it bothered me that he couldn't ease up the slightest bit for someone who is not military trained and is thrown into what she is.
Now, I freaking loved that her dad sang her that song and they recognized each other through it. It was the sweetest thing! Other than the bad attitude I loved how Laz took care of her when she least expected it. Seriously sooo sweet!

Started out with Gabriella overwhelmed with debt caused by her no good ex-boyfriend. Her father had spent a lot of time on another planet trying to help the people. When she was accepted and matched with an alien from that planet she accepted. The money would pay off all her debts and she would live on a planet her father loved. Then all hell breaks loose when her shuttle is shot down and they are captured by evil aliens It is so exciting and her rescue is non stop action Great read. I love this series.

One of the best in the series. Gabriella's life has never been a "bed of roses". Her father was the only one she ever felt close to but he died when she was young. With no real hope of things getting better, Gabriella takes a chance and accepts a marriage deal thru TerraMates. When her shuttle is shot down and the brides taken hostage, will her chance end in disaster? I'm not telling but I suggest you read to find out. You won't be disappointed.

Action Romance

A lot of action but not a lot of sexy romance. I will say that it was an enjoyable read but it's not my favorite. I was slightly annoyed with the way Laz stiltedly changed from militant and cold, to forgiving and caring. and then right back to the coldness and quick to snap. Gabriella had some gumption but just not enough development for my taste.

This book was thrilling and an adventure but sad in places oh don’t forget the hotness too. Everything happens to a kidnapping then a rescue then finding there way back. It never ends and keep you gripped. An excellent book to read. I was given this book as an arc for a honest review

Just finished reading and can't wait to read another book in the series! I'm hooked after just one book. I found myself emotionally involved and caring about the characters. That, my friends is the definition of a great writer.

Perhaps this would have been better if I'd started at the beginning of the series. Unfortunately, it was another example of assembly-line storytelling with a hundred lost moments of what would have given this story a soul. Attention to detail is everything!

This was really different from all the other ones there was a lot of action in this a lot of fighting, the general didn't know how to act really, I mean he was rough and tough I guess that's what General's do, he orders everyone around even his bride. I don't know if you can call that Romantic, I guess everyone has his own way of doing things. To me the action, drama and fighting made this book, that's it.
Gabriella Stein lost her father when she was young, her mother's was very selfish and dittsy only caring about herself. Her father was a doctor who traveled to the Planet Maztek for many years but one year he just didn't come back. At an early age Gabriella left and never looked back. A lot of bad decisions and bills up the yang yang she decided to become Mail Order Bride, lucky her future husband is from the Planet Maztek... But the spaceship crashed before she got to her husband. Some Brides were dead, she was taken hostage.
General Lazarus aka Laz was celebrating with his men they deserved it he thought. He couldn't believe his mail order bride was coming tomorrow then seeing the news that the mail order brides spaceship crashed. He got his men together and went to save his bride. Then the Adventure, Action begins. I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.

Okay, the book is not your classical sci-fi type of story but the premise is that the male character is not of earth origin so that makes him an alien from outer space. He has been in the military since he was young and now considered to be a General. With so many people under his command he is firm to the point he could be considered cold or harsh.

Now Gabriella at one point you like to think she was brave or strong but for the majority of the book you either want shake her for the crap she put up with from the exboyfriend or the attitude she had with Laz most of time. I know Laz could be a pain. She was not as strong of person as I thought she could be but she did finally remove herself from a bad relationship.

Now my one issue with the story was the crude sexual descriptions towards the end of book it was very jaring to the story which I had really enjoyed up to that point as it did not fit well into the tone of the book.

My review may read as I did not enjoy the book which is not true I really did like this book. I would maybe suggest to the author to make a "clean" version for those who like their reading to be a less x-rated.

Received and currently own a copy of this book. My review is made in all honesty of how I enjoyed the book.

This was a fun and exciting read, full of action, adventure, and strange beings. Gabriella, strapped with a massive debt incurred by an identity stealing ex boyfriend jumps at a chance to marry a sexy, bearded alien named Lazarus. Instead of having an official marriage she is kidnapped by an enemy who has been a thorn in the mazteki's side for years. An enemy who is ruthless and wears a bird mask. Her new husband saves her but that's not the end of this tale, no, it's only the beginning. Together these two begin to awkwardly understand one another while trying to get off Xylox, the diseased planet.

I really enjoyed the imagery of this tale, the creatures and planet came to life before my eyes. Sometimes it was gross (like the poor, diseased inhabitants of Xylox) but at times it was beautiful as well (three cheers for Laz and Gabriella!) the enemy even had a few surprising twists in store for me. Although what made me laugh, (although it shouldn't) was the little boxy identification machines. Deadly, but hilarious!

One of my favorites!

This is one of my favorite books by Lisa Lace. I don't know what it is about this book, but the fact that both male and female main characters strike me as wonderful. I have read all of Lisa Laces' books and some I like more than others. I like Water World, Naima, and Auxim, Anders, and all of the Auxim series. So only a handful make it into my faves' by this author. Only two books out of this series seem to be somewhat connected that is books one and three. The rest are more like a part of a large world that makes no since. Even if you read them in order. They are all individual read with their own HEA. Each good in their own way and all worth reading. This book in particular, had me falling in love with the stoic, strong, determined, and sexy Laz. He's the strong, silent type that every woman wishes was in their closet for a night!!

Received this book from the author for an honest review
This is the seventh book in Terramates.
This one is different from the rest of them it is still fast pace and you will still
find it hard to put down.
Gabrielle is on her way to meat her husband when the shuttle is shot down.
The shuttle crashes on a planet that is at war with her husband planet. All the people
on the shuttle were taking hostage.
Laz was at a bachelor party that his men through for him when he heard about the shuttle
going down. He got all his men together to go and free the hostages when he sees that his bride is
one of them not everything goes as plan. Will Gabriella and Laz get their happy ending will they be able
to defeat the enemy.

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. Love Lisa Lace's books. She is an amazing story teller/writer. Her creativity is awesome. I don't know how she comes up with such different characters and stories. Each situation that each of these women, and men, find themselves in is unique. Gabriella's first meeting with Laz is very different from Lisa's other books. The story seemed like it was very short, when in actuality it seemed that way because it wasn't boring. I also enjoyed the narrators. They both did a great job of portraying the characters and bringing them to life, in my mind. Thanks so much for giving me the opportunity to listen to such great stories.

It's kind of cool thinking of being an Alien's mail order bride..... kind of..... because wow poor Gabriella lands smack dab in the middle of chaos and war!! Ms. Lace writes with such descriptive narrative I was screeching and shouting for her safety!! And then to the rescue comes her new husband who fulfills every woman's dream of what we hope Alien's look and act like should we be introduced...but realistically...well who cares because Ms, Lace makes this exciting and an adrenaline rush with "out of this world" intimacies and a terrific happily ever after!!

Laz is a General. Him and is men were celebrating when the mail order brides ship crashed. Gabriella lost her father when she was young. Her mother was very selfish and only cared about herself. Gabriella decided to become Mail Order Bride. The spaceship crashed before she got to her husband. Some Brides were dead, she was taken hostage. When Laz finds out that she is still alive, he doesn't hesitate to go rescue her. This was a good short read. I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

This is the 7th book in Sci-Fi Mail Order Bride series. Gabriellas decides to become a mail order bride and her future husband Laz is from Planet Maztek. While Gabriellas is in on the spaceship it crashes and she is taken hostage. When Laz hears about this he gathers his men and they set out searching for his bride to be. This book provides action packed adventure with a new twist. The storyline flows through perfectly and the characters are well developed. I recommend reading it as it is a enjoyable read. Gifted a copy in exchange for honest review:

I felt as if as soon as the book was started it was over. I was pulled into the scenario instantly and it kept me through to the end. I could really see this book turning into another one easily without difficulty. The author really does have a knack for different ways for a marriage to be problematic and rewarding at the same time.

Holy cow! I really loved this book, there is a ton of action in it and hardly any Romance till the end, but that is what kept me engrossed in the book till I finished it. Lisa Lace is becoming one of my favorite authors. I would compare her to Eve Langlais and Evangeline Anderson but with more of a PG-17 rating. I was given a free ARC copy of this story in exchange for an honest review
