Mamma Rabbit has the perfect recipe for preparing her rabbit family for a good night's sleep that includes six pairs of pajamas, six cups of milk, one bedtime story, and a sprinkling of kisses.
A sweet book that blends bedtime with pie. It's a recipe book. ;) A bit reminiscent of Pete's a Pizza because it's an "activity story" in a story. When the bunnies wake up in the morning, they have carrot pie.
This book is a picturebook about a mother putting her 6 baby rabbits to bed. This book is written as a list of instructions. It involves the process of bathing the rabbits, washing their clothes, reading a story, getting carrots and milk ready, putting the rabbits to bed. Then in the morning all the rabbits wake up happy and eat the carrots and milk.
This book is useful in the younger years when learning about counting. The number 6 is used quite a lot and children can physically count the rabbits on the page; especially on the page where it says that the rabbits are hiding. This is also a great book to teach children about instruction writing. There is lots of language such as sprinkling, cups, gently and fold which commonly found in instructions. Children can then create their own instructions using the ones in this book as a guide.
Sweet, gentle book about a mother rabbit putting six bunnies to bed - written as instructions for "rabbit pie." Lots of details in the illustrations and kids will enjoy 'finding' the bunnies and seeing their antics on each page.
I am reviewing books with a theme of PIE for family storytime at the library. This one will be featured as the text is short, the plays on words will appeal to the adults, and all will enjoy the illustrations.
So, I would probably give this a 3 star, but my little girl loves it, so we are compromising on a 4 star. If your kid loves bunnies, this is a must. It is pretty simple, the recipe is the step by step for their family's bedtime routine. Cute and simple.

The ingredients for rabbit pie were excellent. This one could have been a little longer because it felt rushed in getting the rabbits to bed! How sad they couldn't play anymore said the rabbits (kiddos)!
The story is about a rabbit mom putting her kids to bed (by making a pie recipe) it is really a fun reading, if your kids like bunny this book is definitely a hit, and the illustration is really cute my 6 months old son is really excited as I read it aloud to him
