Restraint is sexy. It can be a simple leather strap, a shiny pair of handcuffs, a delicate silk scarf, or a dominant’s stern gaze. The yearning for a partner who will take control can grip one as powerfully as the most intricate, indecipherable rope knot. In Slave to Love, Alison Tyler gathers the most popular ― and often most taboo ― fantasies of sexual control and erotic restraint. Featuring such popular erotica writers as Thomas Roche, Saskia Walker, and Rachel Kramer Bussel, Slave to Love is luscious, naughty, and infinitely sexy.
Alison Tyler is an American author, editor and publisher of erotica, living in Northern California. She has authored over 20 explicit novels, hundreds of short stories and has edited more than 30 erotic anthologies.
Short stories that promise much but don't deliver enough. Kept me hanging. The stories weren't bad, I just wish there was more to it. It's like a bloody cock tease.
The stories in this book encompass a good range kinks and fetish. It is more of an introduction to BDSM, with figging, mild puppy play, bondage, D/s and impact play, than something for the experienced player. A lot of hetero-centric couplings, although two of my favorites are Gay/Lesbian. They range from quite soft to more medium, none are hardcore/ extreme. All well written and even though they are reasonably quick, they offer an interesting peek, at a new fetish to share with a partner, or a new twist, on something you already enjoy. Some of my favorites are, in no particular order: “Well trained”, “Daddy’s Girl”, “Five bucks a swat”, “Divorce proceedings”, ” Ever on edge”. There is a disconcerting editing error in “Unlike the others”. Paige, starts out with a rubber dress, two pages later it’s a leather dress, and two pages further on, its back to rubber. Not a major issue, but something that should have been caught. These stories show to a limited degree, the joys of the power exchange, and what it is like to surrender to who, and what you are, if you haven’t already. Also a great cover! Entertaining and worth a read.

I'm normally not a fan of anthologies. I enjoyed this one though. There's a little something for everyone... M-M, F-F, M-F, pet play, bondage, piercing, spanking, and cheating to name a few. Some of the stories are happy and some were a little sad. I'll post a few of my favorites when I have a bit more time. :)
Three stars is being generous. Maybe two or three stories were four-star reads with any sort of depth to them - the femdom marriage-in-peril story the best of the bunch - most were just kinda meh stroke fiction with better spelling and grammar than Literotica and one terrible story had a single paragraph that filled an entire page.
I'm not really sure the good stories made this anthology worthwhile. It was mostly forgettable.
