A spooky gothic gem of children's horror about a talking doll with some disturbing properties. Absolutely check out the OOP gem if you can get your hands on a copy.

Good story but I wish the writing was better. Very interesting concept, though!

It's not always a good idea to revisit childhood favourites, but this one entirely holds up. Still creepy and gripping, although woefully too short. Tilly/Clothilde is as menacing as ever, and yet I still want a weird chest of drawers like that for my very own.

Grady Hendrix brought me here….
I never read this book as a child…
it’s an interesting enough story - but the best part of the book is it’s backstory….
Definitely could have been and wish it were a longer story… 📚

IDK!!!xD lol
It's a pretty good book. It's about a doll who is EVIL and comes to life who ever she replace places with becomes a doll. And the dolls becomes that person. In one of the sections the grandmother tells a story so don't get confused.
