I trudged through this story for the most part. Although it was a very nice story and started off good in the beginning I found myself becoming disinterested at times. Didn't know what to make of Garek..good or bad hmm. Loved Lilys conviction, determination and strength.

Struggle and survival
Some weak areas in the story but wonderfully developed hero and heroine. Pain of betrayal is the hardest to overcome and I am not certain I would be able to forgive.

Good romance, but the H was hard to like
This is a good romance, and I really liked both Lily and Garek at first. But later, when Garek was bent on revenge, he was really hard to like. What he planned to do to Lily was unforgivable, and I felt that she forgave him much too easily. No matter what he went through, and how he thought she was to blame -- there is no excuse for what he wanted to do to her, especially since he never even bothered to confirm that she was responsible for any of his suffering.
My disgust with Garek and his plans of revenge made me lower my rating on this book to 3 stars. It probably would have been higher if he had not been out for revenge, because I liked him at first.

Love returned
Garek was a surgeon until he wasn't! Garek saved Breanna Lily sister from certain death! Garek also saved Lily in ways she didn't know she needed saving! When Garek is sent to prison his love of Lily changed to hate and he promised himself revenge against Lily! Lily never knew the extent of her sister plan to get rid of Garek! When Garek left he took Lily heart with him! Garek was in a rock in a hard place desperate to save his Uncle and desperately in love with Lily! How can to pain filled people find their way back from love and betrayal! It will take a gigantic miracle!!!

Love K J Jackson’s stories!
What an amazing tale of lives lost, the power of love and hate, and the uncertainty of life and all of its inequities. It has been a while since I’d read a book by Ms Jackson, but it is as I remembered … she has a magical way of writing that brings her characters alive, creates a storyline that moves smoothly through all of its twists and turns, and always manages to insert events or character actions that catch you totally unaware. I am looking up a few more of her stories to get lost in - their characters, the emotions found within the pages, the inevitable but not easy HEA — it’s all there.

I read six K. J. Jackson books in the past three days (the Hold Your Breath trilogy and the Lords of Fate trilogy) and I've been trying to figure out why I've enjoyed them so much. And then it occurred to me that they remind me of the romances I grew up on in the 90s - and I mean that in the best possible way! I love the melodrama and I love heroes or heroines in peril and her books have that in spades. I think some of that is lacking in today's historical romances and I didn't realize I missed it until I found it again.

Fate intervenes time and again to bring Lily, Garett, Brianne and Seb to a happy ending.

Great ending to the series
I really enjoyed reading how most of the questions come together on the story of Lily and Garek. The innocent love they begin with is torn from them but not until we see their love grow. It appears as if the dates are against them. I loved the characters though on occasion Lily's character goes through many changes, thankfully it helps her grow. Give the book a read, you won't be disappointed.

Not as exciting as book two but certainly not uninteresting. The youngest of the Silverton sisters finds her worth when she finds her sister severely injured and tied to a chair. He father is in the same room murdered. She has no knowledge as to what happened. Her sister is near death and the local physician is doing nothing productive to help her. Fate sends a skilled young surgeon to help. He saves the sister and despite poor circumstances, love prospers.

I enjoyed this book. I have to say, I think Garek should have been more ticked off at Lils sister. Brianna lied to Garek and her sister. She drove them apart. But it worked out. She did apologize after playing God with their lives. I recommend this book. I have enjoyed the whole series.

Another of the emerging genre of historically inaccurate, but very enjoyable romance.
This is the third in a series, but it can easily stand on its own and it has some very modern characters resolving some very complex issues. It could be argued that the situation resolves itself to easily, but as romance goes it is well written, highly enjoyable and moreish.

So good
I am sad it is over and I am happy I read it. This author has amazing stories that I recommend to anyone who enjoys this genre. I was so glad to see at the end of this story an indication of another book, perhaps series, that comes out next week! Thank you, I love your work.

Review
This series was so absorbing I read all three in 3 days. I couldn't help reading one after the other. Each had a very believable story for Regency times. I was definitely on edge multiple times and felt like I was in the room watching the action. I must say at times I wanted to join the fight!

Excellent series
Although these can be stand alone books, it is well worth reading the series. The storyline is interesting and the characters interacted together well. You do not spend time reading parts of the last book which I like. If I have read the previous book in a series I do not like reading it in the next book. Well worth the time to read

Love it
Another great story from Kj Jackson though this Lords of fate story was ok but not nearly as amazing as the first and second book. I was glad to see that Lily got a happy ending after everything she witnessed and had been through. I look forward to the next series I binge from KJ

This story ran the gamut of strong emotions and life changing events and yielding to passions that almost destroyed everyone! The journey to the end was well worth the effort!

A good tale a little it unbelievable. How she meets this random doctor in middle of the night and bring him home to help her sister.

I really liked the story line, but the author put some very description sex scenes in the book and I had to skip over many pages to avoid reading it. Because of this inappropriate content, it is not appropriate readers under 18. Had I know this was included I would not have read it.
