I learened an amazing amount from this book. I was reassured that I was feeding my family well. It cleared up many misconceptions as it covered how each nutrient is processed and used by the body.

It was a textbook read for a class, so it wasn't exactly joy-reading. However, I read the entire thing cover-to-cover, and it was instructive with excellent illustrations. It felt like it was pushing "MyPlate" and governmental eating programs a little too much, though, and encouraged readers to drink milk with every meal (okay, big dairy). I'll reference it again as needed.

I think there was a lot of good stuff in here. I was told by a nutritionist that the knowledge of the time this was written was not all that accurate anymore. I think she was exaggerating but I could see parts where what she said would be true. I read it anyway.

The very best nutrition text book I have seen, and I have a degree in nutrition. i wish my school had used a book this easy to read and well written. I read this before a job interview as review and got the job.
