This review is based on Headspace by Calinda B. This is an intriguing futuristic novel with an interesting and unique concept.
Gifted with intuition and the ability to make people think that they had the experience that she pulls from her mind, Vienna has a successful virtual life but she has never had a real climax. She confides in Jonas and he wants to help but he’s in a committed relationship. When his shrewish girlfriend becomes jealous of their friendship will he break off the relationship or their friendship and break Vienna’s heart.
This fast paced smooth flowing plot is a unique and intriguing futuristic story that captures the imaginations has the reader imagining all kinds of possibilities. The vivid imagery puts the reader right beside the characters as the story unfolds and the compelling characters are strong with charismatic personalities. And the sexual heat in the story, virtual as well as real, is red hot and leaves the reader scorched.
The story keeps the reader on their edge of seat with all the twists and surprises that keep the reader guessing. The tension builds as Vienna has new clients to deal with and Jonas’ creating personal problems and the author conveys this and the emotions involved with intense detail making it easy for the reader to relate.
I could easily picture this story taking place and once I started it, I couldn’t put it down. I think the author has created a fascinating world with lots of promise and possibilities.
*I received a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review*
So far, the only story I've read is "Headspace" by Calinda B.
Calinda B has written another unique story. Headspace is set in futuristic Seattle where virtual reality, pulse-coms and smart cars that basically drive themselves are commonplace. The main characters have depth and the sex is hot, hot, hot (whether real or virtual). With lovable secondary characters and a "talking" cat, Headspace sucks the reader right in. Calinda has delivered again.
I will add to this review as I read more of the stories.
This review is based on A Dose of Brimstone by Noree Cosper When I read the first book in this series I was drawn in with the different take Noree put on the whole Van Helsing legend. Even tho this read didnt have a whole lot of vamp drama but was more about the demons it was still an awesome read.
Katie Salidas - Carpe Noctem Loving me some vamp reads and this one made me smile..lol
I really enjoyed this collection of 20 paranormal tales . It kept me enthralled from beginning to end. I can't wait to read more books by these authors.
I haven't actually finished this, I just wanted it off my "currently reading" list - its a HUGE anthology and I keep going back to it for a fun break. I WILL finish it! Some day. Then I'll be sad. Highly recommended! Stories are great!
I think it would be, ah, self-serving to rate this set, considering my own contribution to it. Suffice to say, I have enjoyed the other authors' work very much.
Super entertaining but soooo many typos. I won't lie though, I'm sad it's over. I have taken screenshots of the story titles I loved though, there are plenty, and plan to download the following books in the series. Thank you for introducing me to so many good authors and storylines.
