Anal play on a man is not for my taste in reading but the way Mysti places it in this book it's couldn't have worked out any better. usually if I read something of this nature I am completly turned away from and stop reading immediately. in this case I had to keep reading to see the end result !!

Sophie & the Cowboy may be a short, fast read but, boy oh boy, is it ever huge on steamy goodness! Ms. Parker starts out innocently enough. Cowboy Clint stands in front of Sophie’s Massage Parlor staring down at the business card his buddies gave him at his bachelor party.

Good for one full treatment

He’s reluctantly decided to take advantage of the “gift” today. He’s not one of those guys who needs pampering, but this wedding business and his high maintenance fiance have stressed him out big time.

What follows is a cleverly written story that blends fantasy with reality, blurring the lines until you’re not sure just what is real and what’s not. Sophie is an entertaining mix of massage therapist, muse, clairvoyant, sex kitten, and psychologist. She takes Clint on a journey he’s not likely to ever forget!

Clint is an adorable hunk of sexy cowboy. He’s got that Southern charm; polite but not too sweet, if you know what I mean. This being his first massage, it’s hilarious to hear his inner dialogue as he first ponders where to position the towel, then has to talk down his hard-on once Sophie touches him.
I loved this steamy little story! It was the perfect length for an afternoon quickie.

This a short story consists of hot erotic scenes. The author starts the book with an aim to slowly allure you into reading it. Giving a thrill of excitement in every turn of page. There's a mix of magic in here that I did not expect but all through out reading it, it definitely makes me hot.Woooh. I am up for more though, but it ends openly. Now I'm eager to read the next in the series. This book can be read in just a really short time. I read it while having a boring class in Culture and there I was, totally engrossed with what's happening in the book.

Verna (receptionist) greeted him when he arrived.
Sophie (masseuse) was indeed a knock-out.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written erotic (novella) book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great mild porn movie, or a paid-per-view mini TV series. Well that was different. Parts of it are not my thing but it was fairly hot. Just OK for me. To be continued? I’ll rate it at 4/5 stars.

In this short and not so "sweet" but very erotic story Mysti introduced me to two characters and their world or "worlds". The Cowboy goes for a massage on his wedding day. He thought he'd decided his life path and that his life was falling the order it should. Then, he meets Sophi, the Masseuse. The Cowboy having spent his life working hard labor has no idea what to expect from this massage and honestly he isn't too sure about finding out!

Sophie starts working her magic and he begins to relax. However, Sophie has a few tricks up her sleeve that will change the Cowboy's life and will help him see sex and his life's path in a whole new way.

Mysti does a great job. This book is steamy. She does it in such a graceful way and adds just the right about of steam in just the right ways. She carries the story well. I can't wait to see who ends up with Sophie's card next.

Clint is a cowboy who has always worked hard. His friends decide that he needs a massage to loosen up and relax before his wedding so they buy him a gift card that they gave him at this bachelor party. Only Sophie, the mysterious masseuse, isn't what he expected at all but then again neither is anything that follows. What will happen to Clint? Will he still go through with the wedding?

This book was a very quick read even though it has taken me forever to write the review. The characters and plot held my attention from beginning to end and the scenes were very detailed. This book might not be for everyone but if your looking for a steamy erotica give this one a shot. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

Clint isn't sure what to expect yet he's willing to give it a chance at least. Sophie is truly unique massage therapist. She gets at the inner truths that we often deny ourselves and others we care about. What will Clint learn about himself and his bride? Can Clint accept Sophie's gift? Your answers await you in Sophie & the Cowboy.

What an emotional start to a brand new series. The characters and story are top notch, complex, and fascination too. I look forward to more from this series and author in the future.

I had the opportunity to read an Advance Readers Copy of this story and was surprised. I've read stories like this before, in a much shorter format, and without a moral at the end. Mysti looks to be starting a new series of stories revolving around a masseuse and an individual needing release and perhaps direction. In this case, Clint, our 'Cowboy' needs some change in his life and Sophie looks to be a good choice. This is highly 'Erotic', running squarely into NC-17 territory. If that is what you are seeking, then this is the story. Myself, I am just waiting for the next installment.

I was offered this book for an honest review. On reading the title and book blurb I have to say my interest was piqued.

To say this is a short story only 31 pages it had lots of content and was a joy to read. I found the book to be very erotic and quite humourous in places, especially when at the massage parlour wondering what to take off, if you are going to drool or get so relaxed you start to snore.

The ending threw me slightly but did not detract from how much I enjoyed the story.

I really enjoyed the fact that Mysti Parker has taken an Erotica novel and brought it to a point where it is a legitimate novel. Meaning, usually when you find a Erotica with this premise, its sex, sex, and sex and not much else. This one really delivers on the actual storyline, character building, and even a wrapped up moral at the end. I was pleasantly surprised. Not to say that there wasn't plenty of hot sex, because she definitely delivers there as well.

This is a short novella by Mysti Parker, one of my favorite authors of all time. Mysti brings the sexy and the excellent characterization in this bite-sized story. Clint is a three-dimensional person with serious doubts about his current situation in life, as well as Sophie, the mysterious masseuse.

Got a chance to Beta read a genre I normally do not. I should have known I would enjoy it though it totally deviated from my idea of a 'love' story.

Magical in the sense of blissful for the characters as well as the reader. Well worth the price and time.

IMO Parker is a winner in whatever genre she pens.

I love this quick read by Mysti Parker. Its a short story, the kind you can get through waiting for a Doctor's appointment. Then again, if you're like me it will be while you're waiting for a massage. I need to find my own Sophie, minus the Very happy ending.

Clint is due to marry Tanya at 5pm. But he's going to use a card his buddy gave him for a massage. He goes to Sophie's and she proceeds to not only give him a full massage, but also enlighten him about Tanya cheating on him with his buddy, Jeff. Tanya starts easy and simple enough on his back, but once he turns over the massage gets very intense, to the point of prostate massage and stimulation. Sophie seems to know a lot about Clint and in the end she disappears, but leaves a note letting him know his future is right outside.

While getting an out of this world massage, he learns something very important about himself and his life. Waiting right outside that door is his future, and it comes in quite an unexpected way.

This is a fast, hot read that has taught me how to show my appreciations to my husband. Now, where is he??

Little different erotica. with a rather unusual masseuse. Graphic sex occurs between the cowboy and Sophie, but it is in line with a "happy ending massage" with some extra kink. Prostate stimulation may turn some readers away, but otherwise the kink is fairly vanilla.

This is a very short novella at 31 pages but wow does it pack a punch. There are so many ‘erotica’ books available that they can become much of a muchness, take it or leave it but this one takes a different slant and it was enough to make it unique.

Clint the cowboy is about to get married to his high school sweetheart, his buddies decide a ‘massage’ at the local parlour would be a suitable gift to relax him in preparation for the big day! Now being a down to earth kinda boy he wasn’t in to all that type of thing but thought he would give it a go .. it was a gift after all.
I loved the way the author made him so naive and suitably embarrassed he sure didn’t know the routine. When he was asked to undress and get a towel that had me in stitches when he asked where to put it.
The beautiful ethereal masseuse is Sophie, Clint finds himself rather attracted to her! As she oils him up and discusses the technique she also throws in a few questions about his girlfriend, what he wants from life etc.
This is ideal as a quick coffee-break read (just be careful where you are!) highly erotic but not overly trashy or explicit, though as a trigger warning ‘anal’ is mentioned/featured.
This ole cowboy not only got the massage of his life but also a reality check that makes him re-evaluate himself .. super cute and I will happily read more from this author. Thanks to Reading Addiction Book Tours for the opportunity to read in exchange for my honest opinion.

This novella is the perfect listen when I went on my walk today. Starting out getting to know Clint a little, and his upcoming nuptials leads us to believe he is on the road to happiness. Knowing that Sophie is going to give him a massage brings to mind many things, but this book is more than just hot sex. There are well developed characters with an air of mystery. We never find out how Sophie knows what she knows, but she is able to prevent Clint from making the mistake of a lifetime and sets his future on a bright path.

Quinn Bernard has an awesome voice, perfect for the genre.

Looking forward to book 2 of the series!

That being said, are you a fan of dirty erotica? *raises hand* If so, you will be satisfied without a doubt.

Mysti manages to bring the heat with this novel and it does not let up. I loved every aspect of her writing style. The characters were likable and they really lept off the pages.

I liked how quick and smooth this read was. There is enough going on to keep my attention and to provide a getaway from all things reality.

It is very different than I was expecting. The massage aspect was very imaginative on the authors part and I think that bringing about the encounter that way was exciting.
