A Whole Latte Murder by Caroline Fardig is a 2016 Alibi publication.

The redheaded she-devil is back and once more finds herself involved in a murder investigation.

When Juliet discovers the body of a woman, who just so happened to be the best friend of one of her Baristas, Ryder asks her to do a little investigative work for him.

Meanwhile, Pete is still working through his grief, and Juliet is struggling with Ryder’s big promotion up to the homicide department. With Ryder working long hours, Pete gets drawn into the investigation as Juliet’s partner in crime, which also means they are spending a great deal of time together alone…

This installment in this madcap series continues to develop, with more knotty plot lines and a slightly more serious tone. These stories have a nice, even blend of romance and mystery, featuring Juliet’s complicated love life, which involves her lingering and confused feelings for Pete, and putting up with the moody tough guy, Ryder.

The mystery this time around might have gotten just a tiny bit too ‘busy’ and so you will want to read slowly and carefully to keep up with a few fast curves and twists. I’m not sure how accurate the plot might be as far as some details are concerned, and a there were times when my plausibility meter tanked, but I never did puzzle out who the killer was, so I can’t really complain.

It is always fun to check up on Juliet and her famous temper. I’m not sure what to make of the relationship ups and downs and felt a little befuddled by the developments this time around, but am keeping my fingers crossed on Juliet’s behalf.

Overall, this was another enjoyable outing with Juliet, Pete, and the gang at Java Jive.

3.5 stars

I had thoroughly enjoyed the first novel in this series, Death before Decaf, so was more than happy when I was able to read this sequel. Juliet Langley is the manager at the Java Jive coffee house and she’s already helped save her best friend and employer, Pete Bennett, from being convicted of murder, much to the chagrin of certain local police officers!

In this tumultuous sequel, Juliet finds another murder victim and, when a barista who works for her also goes missing she’s thrust into the midst of the investigation - contrary to the wishes of her boyfriend, newly promoted homicide detective, Ryder Hamilton. Get ready for some of Juliet’s other ex boyfriends to play important roles in this cosy murder mystery where nothing is as straightforward as it initially seems.

This is a complex plot with plenty of twists and turns as more clues are revealed leading to the highly dramatic ending. It is also a great exploration of relationships with a break up, a potential friends to more development and another fresh start included in the emotional turmoil! With murder, attempted murder, hit and run, romance, suspense and packed with humorous episodes and suspense this is a real page turner and great addition to the cosy mystery series!

I requested an ARC of this novel via NetGalley. This is my honest opinion.

Yay, Juliet Langley is back! This is a great series with another mystery to solve. Juliet and her best friend Pete are two people that many can relate to with all the bickering they do along with a penchant for finding trouble. Thoroughly enjoyable with the right touch of information about the baristas that work at the café and appearances from the wisecracking Gertie who you can't help but love. It's been a pleasure following these characters since book one. I look forward to what's in store for them next.

I wanted a light, easy read, and this book does deliver in that respect. The mystery is complex and kept me guessing. This is a good book if you like to play detective along with the characters.

For my taste, the story is too much like a chick lit version of a daytime soap opera. A lot of silly drama goes on between the main characters, particularly with Juliet and her hot/cold relationships with the men in her life.

The pace drags, with a lot of time spent on uninteresting (for me) detail. For instance, we spend quite a lot of pages on a tennis game, all to dredge up information that could have been given to us on a single page. I know the point of it all was the bantering between characters, but I just didn't find the banter all that compelling.

That brings me to another of my problems, which is that I did not like the characters. Juliet comes off as immature and flaky. She is dating a cop, yet has a temper tantrum because he is busy with work and not making enough time for her, as if he should simply clock out at 5 p.m. to appease her. She's so terrified about his job that she can't sleep, yet she runs blindly into trouble every chance she gets. Ryder, her cop boyfriend, goes from kind and loving to possessive and nasty from one page to the next. And then we have Pete, the best friend, who seems to have a little too much estrogen.

Juliet's detective skills make the cops look inept at times, and some of the things she gets into are clearly implausible. But that is often the nature of a cozy mystery, giving a lighthearted feel to otherwise vicious crimes.

I know I'm grumbling, but these issues are specific to me. If you're a fan of chick lit and quirky characters, you might love this book.

I just love this series. Being a big fan of mystery with a dash of humor and romance, this series ticks all my boxes. Romantic-suspense is the genre I normally read, but I've read a few cozy series and this series has caught my attention and held it.

Juliet is in a really good place in her life. Her job as manager of Java Jive is going smoothly and she and Ryder are somewhere between "friends with benefits" and "relationship". A really good place as far as Juliet is concerned. Now, Ryder is getting a promotion to Homicide Detective and Juliet is concerned for his safety. Juliet has had the misfortune of having found a few dead bodies and that kind of thing, if it continues, could be very bad for her relationship with Ryder. Unfortunately for Juliet (but not us readers), her luck is not going to change any time soon.

When Juliet finds the body of a neighbor, Chelsea, another neighbor, Trevor, becomes a suspect. Since Trevor is a tech wiz and has helped out Juliet a lot with not quite legal doings, she sets out to help him clear his name and find who killed her neighbor, much to Ryder's displeasure. Fortunately, her boss and longtime friend, Pete, had got her back, especially one of their employees, Kira, turns up missing. As things crumble between Juliet and Ryder, things heat up between Juliet and Pete. Maybe the timing is finally right for these two, or maybe not.

I stayed up until 1 am to finish this book and only gave it 3 stars. That might seem a little contradictory and that is a pretty good summary of the book. There are parts of the book that I am completely in love with and there are parts of the book that I detest. The plot is great. The murderer is super evil and not wholly unexpected. Some of the characters are amazing! And some I want to strangle.

The amount of hate I have for some parts of the book makes me think that the author is a genius to get me so emotionally invested in a cozy mystery.

I'm going to get into detail in the next part, so be warned this next part has spoilers.

What I hate ..... Juliet, Pete, the hatred toward Ryder, the constant love quadrangle, and the term "Red Headed She Devil."
I hate how Juliet pushes Ryder away and then gets upset when he acts distant. I hate how Juliet gets injured and then gets upset when people worry about her. I hate the relationship that she and Pete pretend they don't have. They make out and admit they want to be together and then decide the time isn't right, so they push one another to date other people. I hate that Pete is made to be this epic person and just comes off so unsure of everything. He can't make a decision about if he should date, who he should date, how he should treat people, who he should be friends with, etc. I get Ryder isn't liked by everyone and has this dark place that worries people, but seriously everyone hates him and Juliet together? They have their own agendas. It isn't like they are unbiased observers. Show me more of why Ryder is a bad person before you start crucifying him. Juliet needs to stop dating. She doesn't need a man to be valid. She says stuff like that, but doesn't actually do that. It isn't enough to have her pining for Pete, and confused about Ryder, but now she has to be involved with a 3rd guy. It is ridiculous. Please don't introduce any more guys. I hate the term "Red Headed She Devil". Can she please just be angry?

What I love .... Ryder, Stafford, the tie in to book one, and the psychopath killer.
Ryder's character is getting deeper and darker. He is chasing after Amanda's killer, who is a psychopath, and the rest of the world be damned. This is a character that is worth reading about, even if all the other people in the book are awful. I do love the character of Stafford. I think he is being misused because he is a horrid pairing for Juliet. I want to see how things develop for him, but I honestly don't have much hope that things will end happily for him. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it when an author can tie up loose ends from a previous book. I don't mind having loose ends in a book, especially when they serve to further the plot of the entire series. So the fact that this murderer is Amanda's murderer makes me so happy. (Not the murder, but the plot ties.) It gives me so much hope that all the stuff that I hate in this book will get better in the next one. The killer is totally evil, a bit of a mastermind (not quite Moriarty though), and someone you want to see dead, which makes his escape a genius move for the series.

Maybe I'm supposed to be more horrified that Ryder ran off after the murder instead of tending to Juliet. I'm not and maybe that's because I'm so in love with Ryder. At first, I expected him to have back up coming, so he ran off after the murderer and back up would get Juliet. He had no way to know that there were more people hidden in the other room. But then I find out he didn't have back up coming. So I'm a little more horrified, but still not bothered to the amount I probably should be.

I think I'm looking forward to book 4, but a part of me is worried that there will be more of what I hate and less of what I love.

I have read only two of the three books in this series; the first one I never finished because it just didn’t live up to the hype and was a little too similar to other series. It had many issues, and I had hoped that the author would have dealt with them. But, unfortunately, she did not, and the issues got worse as this, her newest novel, went along.

Don’t get me wrong; this is a perfectly acceptable light mystery read if you don’t mind a main character who is whiny, immature, overly impulsive, and oft-times condescending. She has a foul mouth, blames all of her problems with her temper on having red hair, and she tries too hard to act like she is twenty when she is supposed to be a fairly mature character in her 30’s.

The plot of this book was a pretty complicated one featuring many red herrings. The biggest mistake is that Juliet’s relationships took up more pages than the actual mystery. The main male character and Juliet’s lover (Ryder), became very dislikable in this book. I know that from my past reading that he is dealing with (and not very well) the death of his wife, and a lot will be explained and solved in this book, so that explains a lot of his poor behavior…but still. You have to be willing to read the whole novel to see how this all works out.

To add insult to injury - there is now the third man in Juliet’s life. The best part is that this book doesn’t have any sex in it - yet. But I suspect that given a little time, this will become just like the Stephanie Plum series (author Janet Evanovich). As it is this series is a little too reminiscent of author Cleo Coyle’s Coffee House series, but without the panache and believable characters and themes.

In one aspect, this book ends with a bit of a cliffhanger. No, not with the mystery, but with Ryder and Juliet’s relationship and with Ryder’s job.

This is a fine cotton-candy read (much lighter and more forgettable than a potato-chip read) that won’t tax your brain, but may frustrate the heck out of you!

Juliet Langley's life can best be described as tumultuous. Despite her promise to stay far away from any police investigations, she somehow always ends up right smack in the middle of one, much to the dismay of her friends and cop boyfriend. This time around, Juliet weasels herself into the center of a murder case that's much bigger and more complicated than it initially appears. Missing college students, a shady clinic, and even shadier doctors may be connected to the murder victim, and Juliet fully intends to find out.

The only thing more convoluted than Juliet's need to investigate is her love life. Everything seems normal and happy now that she's seeing Ryder, but since this IS Juliet, that doesn't last too long. Ryder comes with a past and that past catches up in this installment, leaving Jules a bit in the lurch. Of course, there's always Pete to fall back on, but I'm hoping that never happens. Besties to lovers aren't my favorite kind of relationship, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed in hopes that Juliet and Pete (and Fardig) never go that route.

Bottom line, this series is such fun - cozy murder mysteries centering around a coffeeshop, complete with a resident pervy grandma. There's a little humor, a little romance, and a whole lot of murder going down in Fardig's version of Nashville, and I can't wait for the next installment to see what's in store for Juliet and her motley crew.

Book 4 in the Java Jive cozy mystery series and it can be read as a stand alone. You get enough back story from the previous books to get you caught up and not feel like you're missing too much information.

The characters are well written, the humour is just right, the mystery is good and it's a quick read.

#3 in the Java Jive Mystery series

This was a good continuation of this cozy mystery series set in Nashville. Juliet is a musician suffering from excruciating stage fright, so she spends all her time as manager of a coffee shop. Oddly enough, she discovers another dead body when she checks up on one of her young employees. When yet another employee goes missing, the dead bodies start piling up, prompting Juliet to become involved in the investigation, although against her better judgment. (This time she's gun-shy and Pete is the one who is pushing to do some sleuthing together.) We meet Maya (a PI friend of Ryder's) and Brooke (a hospital employee friend of Ryder's wife), and both become important parts of the mystery. Juliet and Ryder have some issues (again) with their on-again, off-again relationship. Juliet and Pete have a romantic moment, but both are still hesitant to get any closer, so Juliet suggests he ask Brooke out, and she becomes friendly with Officer Stafford, from the missing persons division. The mystery surprised me, and I didn't get anywhere near to the solution before the reveal at the end of the book. I like these characters, and I look forward to continuing with this series.

A Whole Latte Murder by Caroline Fardig is the best by far in this series.
Juliet Langley is a strong character who grows with each new book.

In this particular book, young girls are going missing and it hits home when Juliet's neighbor Chelsea confesses she is terrified to g anywhere alone.
Her fears are confirmed when Chelsea is found dead in her apartment.
Juliet's boyfriend, Ryder, is a newly promoted homicide detective and Chelsea's death is his first case.

When an employee from Java Jive goes missing, Juliet can't help but become involved and that drives a deep wedge into her relationship with Ryder.

This book was really good. The story targeted on something real and was told in a way that gripped me from the very beginning.

Fans of this series will be delighted to read A Whole Latte Murder and they may be surprised with the ending, I know I was.

I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book.

Juliet Langley, better known as the Red Headed She Devil,
is the coffeehouse manager of Java Jive and an occasional
amateur sleuth.
The coffeehouse is in a college town. Everyone is on edge
due to the disappearance of a coed.
Then Juliet finds her neighbor dead in the bathtub with a
toaster in the bath water. Seems Juliet has a knack at
finding dead bodies. The police warn Juliet to stay out of
the investigation until one of the Java Jive employees goes
missing. Then she gets involved.
Suspense, intrigue, danger, many puzzle pieces to the
murder provide an adventure with many twists, turns,
break ups, hit and run, broken bones new romantic
beginnings and humorous shenanigans.
It is the third book in A Java Jive Mystery series. It can
be read as a stand alone.
Great read. I highly recommend this book.
I volunteered to read the Advanced Reader Copy.

I really like these. This is the third book in the series. They are written in a way that it is not really necessary to read them in order, but I would probably recommend doing so. I read the first mostly because I liked the cover and I keep reading them because I like the characters. Juliet runs a coffee shop called Java Jive and she keeps finding dead bodies. In this, there is already a missing girl when her neighbor turns up murdered. There are quite a few new characters in this one and, as usual, Juliet's love life is in a bit of turmoil. This kept me guessing until the end and I do like when that happens. I definitely recommend it.

The redheaded she devil is back and up to her neck in murder and mayhem. Although she has sworn off of getting involved in police investigations somehow she always finds herself in the thick of things and as usual they go to hell in a basket very rapidly. However our heroine is able to maintain her wits about her and carefully put the pieces of the puzzle together and resolve the problem for the police.
I enjoyed this offering and gave it a four star rating. I recommend it for Individuals who cozy mysteries with well rounded characters.

This series just gets better and better.

When I started this series I thought I loved it but as I get further and further I realize that I just enjoyed the first and I am in love with the plot and characters as they grow.

I am a little confuzzled by some elements in Juliet’s love life. Of course I cannot exactly mention those elements but let’s just say that a guy, that I think I like for her, is acting really strange. A portion of that is explained at the end of this one, but not everything. It is really weird and I cannot wait to see if Caroline goes into this more in the next.

On top of that, this is not a love triangle, but so many guys like Juliet! She knows a lot of people so I can get why her boyfriend is a bit frustrated at all the attention she gives them. She’s the manager of a cafe, she’s not trying to hook up with anyone! But I think his feelings are being clouded by all these other guys being interested in her. Honestly, I probably would be too!

As for the mystery, of course Juliet is going to once again find another person murdered! Again! This time, however, the police are looking to her for some answers, not as a suspect but because she has proved herself as a sleuth. She’s also proved that she can find out information by sticking herself in the wrong place at the wrong time and through a lot of gossip.

Surprisingly, I had no clue who the killer was this time! There was so much going on that I didn’t even have time to figure out who the killer was. All of the clues led to a very short list of suspects! Of course my list of suspects was a lot longer than the list probably should have been. Caroline did a wonderful job of hiding the information and keeping me from figuring it out early!

In short: Just like the others in the series, this is fantastic. Well done cozy mystery. I cannot wait to pick up the fourth and find out more!

Review:

Sometimes when I read a book, something clicks and I really connect with it. It pulls me in and takes me on a fantastic journey. I do not know why this happens with some books and not others, but it does. That is exactly what happened when I read A Whole Latte Murder.

The characters are well developed and well rounded. Juliet is a determined, strong willed woman (it might have something to do with her red hair). She is loyal to her friends and coworkers. When one of her neighbors is found murdered, it is no wonder she feels a responsibility to help solve the crime. Even though her efforts get her into some difficult situations, she does not stop her snooping. Pete, her best friend (forever) and her boss knows he better help Juliet because someone needs to keep her safe. I loved the relationship and interactions between Juliet and Pete. It is so easy to see that they are best friends and would do anything for the other. We all need a friend in our life like that. Their bickering and banter is so funny to read: at times they acted like brother and sister, at other times like an old married couple. The secondary characters also added a lot to the story.

The writing style flows smoothly and the book is a quick easy read. The author is very talented in her descriptive writing and through much of the book, I felt like I was right there, watching the action take place and privy to many different conversations. That was a real plus, in my opinion. This is the third book in the series, and although I have not read the others (yet) I had no trouble following the story line and connecting with the characters.

The mystery is carried on well throughout the entire book. There are a few different mysteries that need solving and that was another thing that I really enjoyed about the book. The book is well plotted and there were enough suspects, twists and turns and red herrings throughout the story that made it nearly impossible to solve. That did not stop me from trying to solve the mysteries but I did not do that before it was revealed at the end. I really enjoyed how all of these mysteries were entwined together and thought it was very cleverly written.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well crafted cozy mystery with great characters, lots of mysteries, humor, suspense and tension. Some of the language was a bit stronger than what is usually in a cozy mystery (but nothing that was offensive to me in the least). This is the third book in the series and I cannot wait to read the first two. Check them all out.

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for a honest review. I would like to thank NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group-Alibi for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I am so sick of books with heroines being ordered around by men and agreeing that's fine, having only male friends, running down other women. are there no more quality books?
OK the male love interest just set up the heroine on a date with his two ex wives so she could have women friends and they are telling her how great he is. Going to stick a fork in this one, I'm done.

I enjoy Caroline Fardig's writing style, and how her characters aren't always clothes horses describing their shoes and outfits ad nauseum. They are real people who have self-confidence issues, doubts about boyfriends, tempers, and all the emotions that go with those. It makes it easy to start thinking of Juliet as a friend, not a fictional character. Along with her, it is always interesting to see how best friend and Java Jive owner Pete is going to react. In this third book of the series, Juliet has quite a few boyfriend issues, and all of a sudden you realize most of her friends really are guys. It was nice that she got to meet a couple gals close in age, and thus give her the new experience of having some girlfriends. That sure came in handy when the chips were down!
There are some real surprises in this book, and an inkling of what is to come next for her. It is a fun read, and I enjoyed every aspect of this well paced book. Of course if you haven't read the first two books in the series, you really should read those before reading this one. Otherwise an awful lot of references aren't going to make any sense to you! Also that way you will have 3 times the fun! I see another book is coming out out in a few months, so you might want to get started right away! I am looking forward to what happens next!

When Vanderbilt co-eds go missing and some turn up dead, Java Jive becomes command post central in the search for one of Juliet’s employees, Kira Gibson.

Juliet & Pete bumble their way through investigating a talent agency and an escort service trying to figure out what business Kira’s been going to late at night in the Genesis building.

In Juliet’s aiding Ryder’s homicide investigation her friendship with Mallory is put under pressure and Juliet risks her life to help solve the case. Attending a charity tennis tournament as Stan Hollingsworth’s partner comes with more risks than Juliet imagined.

Juliet has to confront her issues and open herself to face the future. Her relationship with Ryder Hamilton is rocky. Her BFF and boss, Pete started out as a college friendship that has always held a spark of attraction. The attention of Det. Stafford creates a good feeling of safety and curiosity in Juliet. What’s she going to decide to do about stepping up and moving on with life?

In book 3 the characters are growing in their complexity and comfort with each other.

The issues of college co-eds financing their studies through alternative methods is an eye opener.

This is the third book in the Java Jive mystery series by Caroline Fardig and I find this to be a wonderfully entertaining series. The story is well written with a plot that moves along at a steady pace. The characters are also well written, full, developed characters. Juliet is a fiery, intelligent, stubborn, independent and fiercely loyal friend. Let's just say that red hair can get her into trouble some times. I thought the mystery was well done. It had plenty of twists, turns and red herrings to throw this reader off the trail of the identity of the real culprit. In addition to the mystery, these stories have humor and a touch of romance. Although, for me, I would like to see this author settle things for Juliet and her best friend Pete in the romance department.

I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I received an ARC from the publisher through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This did not influence my opinion and the thoughts expressed are my own.

In A Whole Latte Murder, Caroline Fardig delivers a cozy mystery filled with suspense. Juliet Langley, coffeehouse manager and amateur sleuth, finds herself in the middle of a murder investigation when her neighbor Chelsea goes missing and is later found dead. As tensions rise, Juliet's relationship with her detective boyfriend, Ryder Hamilton, takes center stage, but with the love triangle maybe even becoming a love quadrangle the melodrama surrounding the romantic subplots often overshadows the mystery.

This is the third installment in the Java Jive series, but it is the first one I have read so I was missing a little of the background information, and felt like I needed a little more to invest in the relationships in the story.

That said, if you’re a fan of cozy mysteries and can overlook the romance-heavy moments, this book offers a fun and engaging read with a compelling investigation at its heart.

I enjoyed this cozy mystery. The author wrote an intricately woven plot that kept you wondering until the end.

Juliet has once again found a murder victim and it ties into a missing person's case bring her into contact with another detective, John, who's first intro to her is quite funny.

She and Ryder hit a rough patch and take a break. Everyone, except, Gertie seems unshocked and okay with it, except Juliet, even though it was initially her idea.

Now one of her employees goes missing after acting funny on the phone and the search for her is on. She finally shows up but is no less weird than the phone call.

Pete and Juliet are pulling closers together again and go sleuthing together. Which ends up with Juliet being in a hit and run.

And the plot thickens from there. This is quite the mystery and kept me glued to the pages.

When I started reading this book I was not a fan of the main character. She seemed a bit harsh. I had not read the previous two books so I did not have a good backstory for everyone. I wish they could have toned down her attitude in the beginning but as the book developed, she became more tolerable and I was enjoying the book.

Juliet lives in a building near a bunch of college students. When she tries to return a scarf to her young neighbor, she ends up finding this gal’s dead body. Her being there makes her boyfriend a bit nervous since he was just promoted to homicide. When Ryder pulls back on his communication, Juliet ends up speaking more and more to a different detective who is a bit more open minded.

This book started out a bit bumpy for me but it turned out to be a great read. Definitelyl check this one out.

When I received this book I immediately put it ahead of the other books in my unread queue. I was not disappointed. Each new adventure with Juliet and Pete is a wonderful escape to a different world. Juliet is drawn into another police investigation when one of her neighbors is killed, and other young women go missing. After warning her away, the police begin to ask for her help as She and Pete begin to uncover a strange conspiracy among medical professionals. The sexual tension between Pete and Juliet is palpable, but not acted on. Juliet's relationship with her "handsome hunk" fades as he sinks into his own baggage. The ending is suspenseful and satisfying, with a possible new romantic interest popping up as well. I look forward to more visits to Java Jive as new stories are developed.

One of my favourite cozy mystery series! Juliet is such a fun character to read about. I love the adventures that ends up getting into.

A Whole Latte Murder is the third novel in the series and has Juliet finding another dead body. One of Juliet's employees has also gone missing. Are the two related to each other and can Juliet stop herself before she becomes the next victim?

A Whole Latte Murder isn't my favourite novel in the series. I just wasn't in love with the mystery aspect and found it to be a bit unbelievable. I still love all of the characters in the series and am totally rooting for Juliet and Pete!

Things seem to be going well for Juliet. Java Jive, the coffeehouse she runs is thriving; her romance with Ryder is fun and easygoing. Then things start falling apart. Ryder went from working vice to working homicide, under Detective Cromwell. (Who isn't too popular with Juliet!) Juliet would worry for his safety all the time. Then young women start disappearing, worse still being murdered! The murders get up close and personal to Juliet...
An engaging, pleasant cozy murder mystery! Juliet, Pete and the other character's keep the story moving with their antics and sleuthing; the mystery itself is intriguing. 3 1/2 stars.

One of my favorite series and favorite authors! I love Juliet and the whole crew at Java Jive. The third book is just as fun as the previous two. Juliet is dead body magnet and that hasn't changed one bit. But there were a lot of changes in her life this time around! Laughs, romance, and lots of mystery kept me turning the pages. I can't wait for the next installment.

In the latest installment of the Java Jive series, Juliet deals with missing coworkers, a boyfriend who's no longer emotionally available to her, and the feelings for her best friend that seem to be getting stronger with each story. There's a lot of suspense in this one and few more serious themes. Though parts of this felt slow and a little too detailed, I still enjoyed the overall mystery.

This is a great little series, I've had the pleasure of reading the first two and they haven't let me down as of yet. Jules and Pete are so very likable as well as the other characters in this series. The dialog between Pete and Jules have me laughing out loud, I'm already looking forward to the next installment to see what is in store for the Java Jive crew.
