Good book.
It was a good book, don't know how she is a bride of new Mexico when they went there and then come back never actually living there. And the ending was off, I couldn't put the book down then the ending happened it repeated it self..

Bride of New Mexico: Josie and Adam's story
Josie is the twin sister of Lessie, the bride of Utah. Thinking that because they married cousins they would be living close to each other. But shortly after the wedding she finds out that she and her new husband will be leaving for New Mexico Territory. Josie is NOT a happy camper. After several attempts to kill them, Josie and Adam are really getting ticked. Then they meet a strange woman and things start to get interesting. This was a fun book to read and I'm sure it will be enjoyable for all. Thank you, again, Ms. Holt. You're AWESOME!

Suspense and Romance
Somehow I had in my head that the conflict of this story was twins marrying cousins, and then being separated. While that was true, the story was really about Josie and Adam's marriage, and the suspicious accidents at his mine that they're on their way to investigate in New Mexico.
Fun, sweet, and suspenseful. I really enjoyed it! I did read the companion novel, Lessie: Bride of Utah first, but the books can be read in any order, or independently.
Content: clean (some kissing, some attempted murder related violence)

Book 47 in the American Mail-Order Bride Series. After a factory fire, twins, Josie and Lessie are out on their own to figure out what to do. They answer an ad. Male cousins want to marry related wives. Having never been separated from her twin, Lessie, it takes some getting use to. Adam and Josie certainly have one adventure after another. The mining company has lots of problems and tragic incidents have happened. Can they fall in love and solve the company problems?

Josie marries Adam and is whisked away--to investigate a series of accidents at the New Mexico mine. Josie has never been away from her twin, but she adjusts well to all the unexpected events-good and bad. Adam kicks himself for putting Josie in danger (and a lousy honeymoon trip) but he also falls head-over-heels for her. Really sweet story.

Companion tale to Lessie
I have really enjoyed this series. This book was full of adventure and a companion tale to Lessie: Bride of Utah. I felt that the unveiling of the villian was a bit rushed. I would have liked more information about his connection to the other mines, etc. I also would have liked a little more about New Mexico. Didn't really feel like it showcased the state very much. Nevertheless, I did enjoy the book overall.

Fun Adventurous Book!
This is the 47th book in the American Mail Order Brides series. While there is a similar beginning with the Lessie book (45th), once the cousins separate the twins the different authors take their storylines in different directions. This was a fun book to read and I highly recommend it.

Part 2
After reading Lessie's story, Josie and Adam's story was even more fascinating and engaging. I have really enjoyed this whole series, but twins marrying cousins who are closer than brothers made really beautiful storylines. Now I just need follow up stories for both couples.

It was a good book but most of it was spent on the first few days of marriage. A little redundant in how much they love each other. Would have liked a little more sustenance. Saying that it was a good clean read.

Another hit from Kristin Holt. I'm so glad I picked up Josie after reading her twins story Lessie. Josie & Adam fell in love fast which I found very appealing. The romance & the threat of danger at every turn kept me enthralled until the very last page.

Interesting book!
This one was almost too different, too many close calls maybe. The fire and tunnel were almost a bit far fetched. At least you get to find out who was doing all the horrible things!

What a pleasant book to read: it has romance!, two strangers who have to wed, a very good story and some suspence and a HEA. Kristin Holt is a very good author.

Lessie & Josie are identical twin sisters, who were orphaned at a very young age. Lessie has always been the protector of the sisters. Josie has long been unemployed, and Lessie has worked at the textile factory. But after the fire, neither one can find a job. When Roberta has a meeting about becoming mail-order brides, Lessie isn’t so sure but Josie is determined and is pushing hard for them to take the mail-order bride opportunity. They both decide to do it, but only if they can stay close to each other, as they have never been separated in their lives.
Richard Cannon & Adam Taylor are cousins who own and operate Cannon Mining. But right now, Cannon Mining is under attack by someone on the inside. Richard & Adam don’t know what it is like to be working man, and have his woes, since they came from money & inherited the mining company. So they decide that they need working class wives who can help them understand what it is like and so they can learn to relate to their employees.
The girls go straight from the train station to the courthouse to get married after a short conversation about who is marrying who. Josie & Adam marry and then go straight back to the train station to head to one of the mines in New Mexico.
Josie and Adam run into a host of trouble on their trip to New Mexico and come to find out that someone is trying to kill them. It is a harrowing trip that requires rescuers and the military!

Josie Bride of New Mexico (Mail-Order Brides Series Book 47) by Kristin Holt
I read Lessie Bride of Utah first and as soon as I realized these books were about twin sisters, I had to get Josie as well! This book is full of questions and suspicions but romance develops so beautifully in the middle of drama! I absolutely loved this book and although it’s somewhat farfetched to think two strangers could fall in love so quickly, I know from my own experiences it happens and love is a choice! I love how Adam’s grandparents left such a wonderful legacy for Adam and Richard but this legacy goes way beyond the financial blessing and is continuing to grow in the love these men have for their new brides! Well done Kristin! A beautiful gift for all of us!

An Exciting Honeymoon
This mail order bride story dealt not only with a bride and groom getting to know one another, but with twins adjusting to being separated for the first time in their lives. Josie is no sooner married than she hurried onto a private train car for a honeymoon on the way to her husband's mining business in New Mexico. What a suspenseful adventure that turned out to be. Very well written with great characters. Although the author wrote this as a stand-alone novel, I think a reader will enjoy this story more by reading about the other twin, Lessie, Bride of Utah, first.

I was saving this book for later thinking I would not like it as much as Lessie, now I am so sorry that I did. Totally enjoyed Josie just as much as I did Lessie and wish I had read it sooner. This story doesn't go into as much detail as Lessie did, but still as much loved.

I know the author says you don't need to read the books about Lessie and Josie in any particular order but I read them: Lessie first and then Josie and that suited me best. Sweet men they married. I wish all mail order brides throughout history had been as lucky.

This series was my first experience with multiple authors working together to write a series on a large scale. I enjoyed every book in the series and found several new authors that I hadn't read before.

This is another excellent book by this author that grabs your attention and doesn’t let go until the end. Sweet historical romance that includes some mystery, and becomes suspenseful at times. The history is fascinating, as is the premise for these 2 books. Even the covers are amazing! And these novels are clean and wholesome. Very well-written and worth the read!! I definitely and highly recommend these two books. Both are stand-alones, but Lessie is the first one, and Josie is the ending.
