I wasn't always in love with Nell Hawthorne; I was in love with a girl named India before I ever met Nell. India? She was my first love, the girl who made me want to be better than my past, better than the blood and violence. Live by the sword, die by the sword, that's what they say, right? It should have been me, that day. But it was't. It was her. And that changed me. Sent me down an even darker path than I'd been on before. Until I met her. Nell Hawthorne. The girl who changed everything. You know that story. But what you don't know is everything that led up to that rainy day under a tree, at a funeral.

Cheating...what all does that encompass? Is it cheating when you're reading about the hero having a relationship before he even meets the heroin? Well, that's what this story felt like to me especially because I just love Colton and Nell. I was hesitant to read it at first because of that but I just couldn't stay away. I felt the same way with reading about Kyle in Falling Into You.
The first half of the story is all about why Colton left his home, what led up to it and what happened after that. We get to hear the raw grittiness of him being homeless and hungry and left with only one option that he felt was available to him at the time. It was hard reading about him dealing with his dyslexia and all the things he couldn't do. It was also really hard to hear what people thought of him and called him especially his father.
Then there were the fights. Oh my goodness I don't know if I could've stomach much more of the blood, the broken bones and the injuries. And then they were all the hook ups that were surprising...and not. The only good part about that was it gave him a way to get out.
Unfortunately, he got sucked into a whole different environment but that environment is what lead him towards India. I had a hard time accepting India even though she was really something he needed at that time in his life.
Sadly, this didn't last either but it did lead him to his ultimate destination which of course is Nell.
If you've read Falling Into You, you know what happens and why Colton has to return home. And even though he knew who Nell was, he didn't really know her but this time, things are different. There is an instant connection and I have to say that I was happy with the ways J.W. worded things. It made me feel much better about Colton and Nell's relationship.
This story ends when Colton sees Nell when he's "busking"....ugh, sooo frustrating! I just had to go back and read Falling Into You again to get their HEA!

im sooo torn about reading this. i dont want to read about Colton being with anyone else but Nell! But...it's Colton!!! Hopefully I won't hate it! *fingers crossed*
Falling for Colton is like the prequel to Falling into You. I suggest you read Falling into You first so you get the feels right, but afterwards, read Falling for Colton. Colton is the Hero in Falling into You, where he meets Nell.
Falling for Colton is a book for all COLTON fans. Those that love, crave and hunger for him. It tells his story prior to meeting Nell and oh what a story you will get. Colton is a tortured soul, a teenager with no direction, alone and just trying to survive.
You feel for him and you want to reach into the pages and hug him. This is not an easy book to read. There are no hearts and flowers in this book, but it’s a great story about Colton and how he becomes the man he is in Falling into You.
Colton is a senator’s son and with that comes with certain expectations. He’s bound to go to Ivy League college and do great things, but Colton has other plans in mind. With a reading disability he doesn’t exceed in academics but he dreams to own his own mechanic shop one day.
When you start the book you are hit with heavy stuff, you soon realize Colton has it rough as a kid. He can’t read well, he loves the ladies and he has major issues with his Daddy. He’s a kid with no support and love. Colton leaves his family to pursue his dreams, but the path to his dream is not easy.
The tale of Colton is filled with heartache, hardship and tough choices. Colton becomes a street fighter to earn easy cash and soon lands himself in a not so great crowd. As I was reading this book I kept on thinking when this kid would catch a break. He seems to be down in the dumps with one problem with the next to face. It was tough read that’s all I can say.
This book is not an overly romantic book, but to be honest I didn’t think it was. We all know he eventually meets with Nell, but what I wanted to know is who does he meet along the way? Soon he meets India and she seems like the girl to bring him out of his funk right? But he doesn’t meet India under the best conditions and yet again Colton faces more challenges.
This was a heavy book, but I really enjoyed Colton’s story. It made me appreciate him more and I wanted to go back and read Falling into You again just so I can get more of him!
Falling for Colton is the perfect read for all Falling into You and Colton fans. There were plenty of highs and lows, but tons of love for Colton.
Jasinda Wilder at her very best! Incredibly addicting and fiercely explosive. There's never a dull moment, not a single one—captivating the reader at every turn. Absolute perfection from cover to cover! You think you know, BUT. YOU. HAVE. NO. IDEA!
too many ARCs on my kindle - but I'll read Colton as soon as I find a few hours somewhere ☺ And PS - if you haven't read Falling into You yet - IT'S FREE ON AMAZON!!!!
6 STARS - This book was everything I could never have expected. Action packed, intense and incredibly emotional, I thought I knew Colton's story, I was very wrong! This book is going to give fans of The Falling series everything they could have ever wished and hoped for, Jasinda Wilder shines!
“How did I get here? What am I doing? How is this my life?”
Colton Calloway is a young man that is frustrated, he’s unhappy 90% of the time but what does bring him happiness is working on cars. Restoring, customizing and repairing vehicles allow Colton to feel at peace, if only for a little while. Having always struggled in school Colt studies for hours at a time only to receive marks that would allow him to barely gain a passing grade, and sometimes not even that. His parents do not understand him and his father is intolerant to the fact that Colton suffers from severe dyslexia. At the age of seventeen, which is where we first meet Colton in this novel he is a powder keg of anger and frustration just waiting to blow. And sure enough it happens, his frustration boils over and the very strained relationship that he has with his very successful and politically motivated father explodes. After a very heated argument, at which time some very cruel things are said, Colton is done. Colton will no longer tolerate or even entertain living under his parent’s roof, within minutes Colton is on his own. Please keep in mind that at this point in the story Kyle is maybe 10 or 11 years of age, Kyle we all know from Falling into You is Colton’s younger brother.
“I don’t bother arguing. I don’t bother pointing out how many hours I’ve spent in my room, studying, doing homework. I have applied myself. I guaren-fucking-tee you’ve I’ve worked harder than anybody else in the entire school. I’ve worked my ass off just to get those grades. But he doesn’t see that. He doesn’t care.”
When Jasinda Wilder told us that she was taking us back to the beginning, she was not kidding, she takes us all the way back. This story is Colton’s and it’s a story that is pretty much brand new, we are taken back into Colton’s past, before he met Nell, this story unlocks all of the mystery and in great detail. We are told this story entirely from Colton’s perspective and make no mistake this story is incredibly intense. It’s intense and fast paced, the flow of the story is incredible, time flows over the period of years and yet you feel like you have been by his side every step of the way. Falling for Colton is emotionally charged, I felt all of Colt’s heartbreak, frustration, rage, inner conflict, his guilt, determination, and the pain. Colton is so much pain for most of this incredible story, both physical and emotional. Before Colton meets Nell on that park bench in Central Park, so much has already happened to this young man. A young man that has seen and experienced so much at such a young age. What he has had to do to survive on his own in New York City haunts Colton from time to time and that inner struggle is truly felt. I felt it and my heart ached and broke for the young man who only ever wanted to be loved by his parents, and be accepted for who he is, not for what they want and expect him to be. Being compared to Kyle 24/7 does nothing to help Colt either, in fact it does what you would expect to, it drives them apart, and that may be saddest part of this story for me, because Colton really and truly loves his baby brother.
“I’m only seventeen. Despite what they might think, I’m not running away. I’ve been given no other choice. I’m walking away and both my parents – and Kyle upstairs, in his room, peering through his blinds – watch as I close the back door behind me. Alone.”
When Colton gets on that bus to NYC on the night of the fight with his father, he has no clue what lies ahead for him, only that he is truly on his own. He no longer has a home. When he begins his journey he has one goal, to create and life the life that he wants for himself more than anything. One where he work on cars, customize them and eventually own his own shop. One where he can go to work daily and feed his passion. What happens in NYC after Colton arrives is nothing short of a nightmare. The only shining point is the few loyal friendships that he forms and meeting India. For the first time in his life Colt feels a connection to a woman, and it’s intense. What happens after that is powerful and real. Some people are lucky to truly fall in love once in a lifetime, but it would appear that the one aspect in life that Colton is truly lucky in is love. Not only finding that incredible love not once but twice is truly miraculous.
“A big square table takes up most of the kitchen, and my attention is immediately seized by the young woman sitting at the table. I forget my name. I forget my wounded shoulder. She’s stunningly beautiful. Breathtaking.”
Heartfelt, compelling, poignant, Falling for Colton is a beautiful way for Jasinda Wilder to finally bring this series to a close. I can always return to this series time and time again more than happy to revisit the characters and their stories. The Falling series is an emotional one, it will force you to feel things that you may never have felt before while reading a book, but once you begin, you’ll be 100% invested and you’ll be incapable of walking away. Jasinda Wilder proves over and over again that when it comes to delivering a story that will keep you riveted, she has what it takes and then some. I’ve yet to read a story from this author that I have not enjoyed and that seems crazy considering how many of her books I've read. . I love this author’s style and when it comes to sitting down with one of her books, I’m always captivated from start to finish. Falling for Colton is impressive and when readers get their hands on this book there is going to be never ending praise for Wilder and her ability to make them feel!
“It’s not okay, but it’s okay.” “It’s okay not to be okay.”
I'm torn between 3 and 3.5 stars but come on. 3.25 stars is just damn ridiculous. I don't even really like halfsies, but let's just go with it. 3.5 stars.
I should say that Falling Into You is one of my favorite books, ever. Being one of my first indie reads it, and Colton and Nell, has always stayed with me. I fell in love with it my first read and fall even more in love after rereading or listening to the audio or just a quick skim through my paperback. It's near the only book I've ever reread and own in every format. It's just special to me. That simple. The story is heartbreaking yet hopeful and I always find something new to admire about it each time I let it break my heart.
So, Falling For Colton. When I first got the newsletter and it had that vague "before the tree fell" tag on the header, I just couldn't believe it.
....She's writing more of their story? ...damn I'm going to cry....wait, what the hell is she going to write?...oh hell no I don't want to see him with India....nope not reading it...
Basically I'm a damn fool for Colt because as soon as it went live, early, I one-clicked and I've been immersed ever since. And I don't know if my feelings are too fresh to really understand my own reaction to it, but I have to get some thoughts out.
The reader gets a very heartbreaking and detailed account of why Colton left and what happens to him in NY as a homeless teenager right out of high school. It's dirty, gritty, raw, emotional as hell and completely heartbreaking. I personally could not gain any more sympathy for Colton, I've always felt it for him. But mirroring that sympathy were feelings of compassion. He is intelligent, loyal, sensitive, driven. He is no different here, but you get to witness the violence, desperation and loneliness he suffers. And anger, God, his anger.
It's well written and engaging, but felt a little unbalanced. Near half of the story is violent and contains excessive drug use. The time that is given to his relationship with India feels underdeveloped or rushed maybe? That's probably a positive though - Nell is his girl. His recovery over life changing events feels uncomplicated and abrupt. There's too little introspection. No tension. No climax. It's simply just a series of events, a timeline.
It doesn't add much to the series for me, but I do appreciate this glimpse into the events that led up to that day on the bench in NY.
With honesty, grit, and pure emotion, Jasinda Wilder brings us into the life of Colt once again. The author’s ability to weave a story with the reality of violence, some humor, romance, and heartbreak, allows the reader fall in love with her characters as flawed as they are. Make no mistake, this origin story is one that fans of The Falling Series will devour.
This is the story of Colton. It is the story before the story that we all have known, loved, quoted, and stayed up all night reading. It is his beginning.
His tale starts like this… Colt is forced to leave his home in Michigan after his father throws him out. With no specific place to go, he decides to head to New York City. Alone and on the streets, Colt falls into a world of fighting for money which leads to a “job” as an enforcer of sorts for a local gang. He is good at what he does, but he wants more. When Colt falls for India, he sees a way out. They talk about realizing their dreams and making a life outside of the violence. India was Colt’s first love. She and a particularly feisty old woman, Tilda, will show him that with all the pain and sadness, there can be moments of light.
As with all of Jasinda’s books, I have to comment on the eloquence of her writing. There is something so engrossing about one of her books. The way that she gives us her characters to embrace, comprehend, and love allows us to see their fictional souls. The world she created in The Falling Series is one that all of her fans have come to cherish.
But with the good always comes the bad. Calm yourselves…I can see you all freaking out at your computer screens. I don’t mean that there is anything bad about this book. What I mean that, in this book, there is also a hardness that comes to the page. The reality of living on the street is not bunny rabbits and lollipops. There is anger, fighting, and death. All the good emotions come at a cost. For every pages that will make you smile, there is one that will make you tear up. I am not a crier when I read books, but there were a few moments that I had to wipe away the tears.
If you love The Falling Series, as I do, this book will give you understanding for what Colt lived through in the time before he met Nell (Falling Into You). If you haven’t read the series, this book will be the first that you should read. But I warn you…if you read this book, be prepared to have the overwhelming urge to buy all the other books in the series and binge read them. There are a lot of sleepless nights ahead of you.
Having read Falling Into You almost 3 years ago, I clearly had moved on, filing that book as one of the best from Jasinda Wilder. And now with Falling for Colton, I'm putting this one in the file named: books you didn't know you wanted but are clearly thrilled that they were.
This is the absolutely stunning prequel to the entire Falling Series. What we didn't know about Colton before he left his less than idyllic life in Michigan. There is heartbreak on every page it seems, yet you can't help but want to absorb every single detail and keep it somewhere close, for when the inevitable reread of Falling Into You happens.
My heart felt every disappointment, every feeling of failure Colton Calloway experienced. We get to see why he left all those years ago and how he ultimately survived, even if it was hard to grasp at times. From a life of wealth to one on the streets, we are there as he gets stronger, both physically and emotionally through events that were once so foreign to him and now become second nature.
I loved that the author didn't hold back. She didn't sugarcoat anything. There are deep emotional scars that bind Colt and his life only gets harder with each passing day. However, there are some good people that fall into his life and somehow he is able to pull himself up and make the life he wants. Not one that is dictated to him.
Through his eyes we witness the raw, gritty existence of New York, where you aren't allowed to trust or be trusted unless you have proven yourself over and over again. I felt a bit of pride in Colt, that he forged through his pain, that he kept going when anything good would be ultimately ripped from his life. Again.
I can't recommend this book highly enough. It is by no means tender or touching yet there are the rare moments when your soul will feel that glimmer of hope that Colt will be back on the right track no matter what.
The perfect way to end this series. It will make you want to start all over again.
4.5 stars. Colt Calloway is back, my favorite character of this series, in this grand finale. His story goes back in time, before Nell and Kyle were teenagers, leading up to when Colt is living in NYC and making a life for himself. He's already shared parts of his story in Falling Into You so this is the extended version of experiencing it right alongside with him. Colt is a straight shooter, he knows what his strengths and weaknesses are and he's a natural fighter. As the black sheep of the family, he has to pave his own way and that path has many unexpected hurdles. Watching him go through these experiences really highlights just how well he understands Nell and her pain when they eventually meet up and why he's so aware of what she's going through. Colt has already lived it all and he and Nell are way more alike than I realized. Colt's resilience and solidarity as a character also makes him both flawed and lovable, where his past has shaped him into the man, husband and father he becomes in the future.
I had almost forgotten what violent beginnings Colton had in New York. It was almost too much to read. I thought it was sad he couldn't have been a better brother to Kyle. And it was especially heartbreaking that India's dreams couldn't come true.
I thought Wilder did a great job staying true to Falling Into You. I usually don't care to read about a Hero's time before the heroine, especially if it involves a relationship with another woman but I had to read about Colton and I'm glad I did. Well done!
I literally can not get enough of this series and these characters. I was so excited to see another one come out. I just want more and more. I want more kids out of them just to continue down the rabbit hole that is Colt, Nell, Jason, Becca, Kylie, Oz, Ben and even Echo (even though I hated her). I mean, Colt is one of the two reasons I named my son Colt. The other is Colt from Charade by Nyrene Dawn ( #notembarrassedtoadmitthis )
I do hope we keep getting stories from this series. Jasinda hit the jackpot in my book with these characters.
Now, this is the way to tell the other side of the story. I loved that we got to see what drove Colt away from home, how he survived when he got to NYC, how he healed and other hurts that came his way. The couple of chapters at the end that were the 1st book brought things around full circle. I was so glad that he found his HEA!
Colton Calloway.... I still have mad love for that man!! FIY is still my number one favorite book (and series). I'm soooo glad Ms Wilder wrote this one. Being able to go back and hear Colton's POV and life story makes me love him even more. Thank you soooo much, Jasinda Wilder for this one! Even though this is the grand finale of the series, I refuse to let Colt & Nell go!!!
It is hard to do something that could really be considered a prequel when your characters are not only known and loved, but also the characters that started it all, the characters that brought even more wonderful characters into your reader's lives, and the creators of offspring that lovers of the series fell just as hard for as the parents. Let's be honest, nobody really wants to see Colton Calloway with anyone but Nell Hawthorne. Yet, the way in which Jasinda Wilder tells Falling For Colton, the compelling, heartbreaking nature of the story, the fact that Nell and Kyle were just kids when Colt left home, along with the instant familiarity and sense of purpose felt when Nell and Colt see each other again after that fateful tree falls makes Falling For Colton not only palatable, but actually the perfect ending/beginning to a truly epic love story.
Of course I had a good idea of Colt's life before Nell. Turns out, I didn't really know the half of the hardship, the pain, the struggle, the despair, the destitution, the tragedy, and the guilt that young Colt endured. Hard, gritty, edgy, and intense, Colton's story is a difficult one to experience. A hard knock life with enough heartache to last two lifetimes in the span of just a handful of years. While the mettle, the tenacity, and the sheer power of will that he demonstrates during these arduous years instills a whole new level of devotion and respect for the man.
Incredibly fast paced, there is never a dull moment, never a second when you are not fully immersed in Colt's story, never a time when you can step away without your mind lingering on or wandering back to this tempestuous story. Then comes that powerful moment when Nell and Colt meet again under the big oak tree. The atmosphere is so thick with tension, possibility, and promise it makes your knees weak and your heart ache. From pulse racing to heart pounding, tear jerking to heart clenching there are feels of every kind around every turn.
Falling For Colton is a breathtaking story of determination and fortitude, love and loss, grief and acceptance, coping and healing, hopes and dreams. My heart broke, it raced, it fluttered, and it flew for Colt along this journey leading us to the man we love, the couple we adore, and the happily ever after that could not be more well deserved.
JASINDA!!! Why do you like making me cry so much!!
So I spent the majority of this book in tears. This book will probably won't do much for you if you have not read FALLING INTO YOU. Also, if you have not read the FALLING series- you might have to reconsider all of your life choices because it is one of my favorite series of all time.
This book is all about Colton (Colt) before we meet him in FALLING INTO YOU. When Colt leaves Michigan and runs off to New York, no one really knows what happened there. Nell learns some of his life and therefore we do too in FALLING INTO YOU. However, beyond a few pieces of his past- we never had a chance to really dive into Colt's head- until now.
This book is really heartbreaking in a lot of ways. The pain the Colt feels from the rejection of his parents- particularly his dad- is one of the most heartbreaking things I have ever read. I really felt Colt's pain. And then the hardships this young man- practically a child- goes through moving to NYC and trying to survive. We find out more about his first love, India and what that felt like. It was equal parts beautiful and gut wrenching.
We also get to see a little bit of what went through Colt's head when he returns to Michigan and sees Nell again. And let me tell you- it will make you want to reread FALLING INTO YOU - IMMEDIATELY!!
Jasinda committed to this book in a way that I don't see often. Colt is rough and the way he speaks is like a street kid- because he was one. You have to read this knowing that you are reading Colt's mind essentially.
It was a beautiful book, packed with that chemistry that Jasinda writes so well and that kind of emotional writing that really wrecks you and brings you to your knees. Fans of the FALLING series- get ready to fall in love with Colt all over again.
6 GIANT Stars|Amazon|Goodreads Each time Jasinda releases a novel in this series I prepare my heart for the beating I know it inevitably going to receive. This series is heavy on the emotional toll and I love every excruciating second of it.
This si Colton's story. The story that led him to NYC. That made him the man that he is. You live through each and every one of his struggles and it tears your heart out page after page.
I kept waiting for things to look up for him, or for someone to come in and save this poor boy, but he survived by the skin of his teeth and sheer will.
This novel rips your heart out. All you want to do is save Colton. Jump into the book and just make it all okay. But that isn't real life and this was hid battle to fight. Both figuratively and not.
You got a lot of Colton in Falling Into You, but not nearly as much as this book. We find out all of the things that happen to shape him. To make him the man that we fall in love with In Falling Into You. He is just a boy who was handed a desk with nothing but the low cards. He is also a boy who never stops believing that there is a way.
We see him day after day making things work and finding a way to survive. I was completely engrossed in his story and it made me love this character even more than I thought was possible. If you loved any of Falling Into You, you need to read Falling Into Colton. It is everything more we wanted about the story and really lets you get you know Colton as much as we got to know Nell.
Jasinda SHINES in this novel. Her writing is as perfect as always and you can't help but get lost in this. Grab your wine and tissues. You will need them.
The Falling Series by Jasinda Wilder is one of my all time favorite book series. I devoured each and every book in this series. I was completely surprised when she released Falling For Colton because I thought this series was finished. And it was in a sense, all the characters had found their destiny. Falling For Colton visits the past, before Colt met Nell.
It is Colt Calloway’s journey into manhood. The reader only got an abbreviated glimpse of who Colt was before he met Nell. We were told about his past life but didn’t experience it like we did with Nell’s past. This book takes the reader on Colt’s journey. His troubled youth and violent journey becomes a very vivid picture of a desperate boy seeking validation in his life.
I fell in love with Colt once again. I ached for teenage boy he once was. I feared for his life when the journey took him down a violent path. I ached for his soul when he lost himself and to rebuild his life over time and time again. The result was the strong, compassionate man he became.
Jasinda Wilder once again took the reader on an emotional journey that more than validates the Falling Series. It made us love Colt Calloway even harder.
Poor beautiful Colton. To read his story is heartbreakingly beautiful. To have survived his life of independence is incredible. But dreams really do come true sometimes....
This series as a whole has been an incredible journey. Beautiful, and yet heartbreaking also. It's been one of my top favorite series since book one. Where I actually bawled my eyes out. Jasinda Wilder has a way of pulling out the emotions from you with every word. The conversations held solely by music. The simple way a look conveys so much between two people. I will miss these characters. If you haven't read this series, read Colton's story last, you will understand the impact more if you know where his path takes him, than where he began. Where he and Nell began.....
Oh Colt. My love. My heart. My #1 Book Boyfriend! I loved this book because I got to know Colt better. This series has done some serious damage to me over the years but none of the has been able to grip me the way that Falling Into You has until this book.
Even though we knew most of what he went through when he first arrived in New York, we were able to see how he was able to deal with it all. Reading from Colt's POV it man is always hits me. Hard. Being able to see how Colton became the Colt we all love was heart wrenching and wonderful.
For fans of FIY this is perfect because we get to fall in love with him all over again. We get to see him hurt, grow and start to heal all the while knowing he will get his Happily Ever After and giving us yet another reason to love him.
I can honestly say I was some what disappointed with this. I knew that I was going to be reading this from Colton's pov but I thought I was going to get more. i wanted to know what he was thinking and how he was feeling through his relationship with Nell also. I loved the parts we did get but once the book starts with Nell it's about over. I've read every single book in this series so I know the rough time they had but I still wanted to know how Colton was feeling. I'm very thankful the author gave us this because we didn't know somethings and I definitely cried through those things I just thought it was going to be more.
I had misgivings at first when I learned this book would be about Colt's other love, but I had nothing to worry about because the book was not expressly about her. Falling for Colton is really about Colton's life after being kicked out of his parents' house. And what a life it was. The things he had to do just to survive were heartbreaking. But somewhere along the way he fell in love with a girl named India, who dies a very tragic death and almost sends Colt off the deep end. I'm glad we got Colton's backstory and specifics. They were mentioned in falling into You, but not a lot of detail. I'm so disappointed that this is the end of a series that had me shedding tears.
First I want to say Jasinda you are a great writer and i love everyone of your books but this series is the best. I love Colt and always will. What he went through at home how can father call his son the way his father did that is not right no matter what your kids do or what their grades are you help them try to understand what is wrong when their grades are low but never call your children stupid. it was nice to read about everything he went through from the first day he left home. its a 5 stars book and everyone needs to read this series. Great job and a great way to end the series.
I have loved the rest of the Falling series, but this just might be tied for favorite with Falling into Us.
This is Colt's story, of how he ended up on the streets and how he survived. It was a beautifully told story, and I like Colt as a character even more now.
There were a few small inconsistencies with Falling into You, but they definitely didn't take anything away from the story.
The Falling Series is one of my top favorites! This book is just so special because it gives us a glimpse into Colton's past. This book brings back all the feels and emotions that the series is known for...while your heart hurts for Colton's past you can rest easy knowing his future. I loved this revisit to the series and I just might have to retread the other books! Thank you Jasinda Wilder for this beautiful story.
It's been awhile since I have read Colton and Nell's book so a few things I had trouble remembering, like what happened with India, but it slowly came back as I read and seeing thing that happened during the time when Colt was away was great. We got to see how he survived and got to where he was when he came back for the funeral that inevitably change his life. Jasinda never fails to pull you into a book and keep you until the last page...that's what I love about her books.
