Albert Einstein: Life of a Genius When it comes to scientists that have made their mark in the world, then none are perhaps more famous than Albert Einstein. Students around the world are taught about his theories and equations with E=mc2 undoubtedly being the most famous. However, there was more to this man than simply being a genius or the original prototype of the mad professor. Instead, this was a man that was dedicated to not only his profession, but also the concept of pacifism, something that most people are unaware of. Albert Einstein went from a late developing child to running away from school to almost failing university and instead turned himself into one of the greatest minds that the world has ever seen. This is his story, a story of how a child taught himself calculus and geometry and was then not afraid to challenge concepts of how the world worked that had been unchanged for centuries. This was a man who stood up for what he believed in even when the world appeared to be against him. The story of Albert Einstein is about more than just mathematical equations. The story is about a man who beat the odds and became world famous in the unlikely world of physics and the universe.

DO NOT WASTE TIME OR MONEY ON THIS "BOOK".

This is like a bad wikipedia article written by an non-native English speaker with no training in any form of professional writing. The phrasing is bad. The material is disorganised, unreferenced, superficial and looks as if it has been culled from a bunch of secondary sources without acknowledgement. Every paragraph is followed by an acre of white space to no purpose except, perhaps, a failed attempt to disguise how short the work is. I abandoned it on p11.

A note at the back says, "Printed by Amazon." This book re-enforces all the bad stereotypes about self published works. I am kicking myself for not taking the time to check the nature of this piece properly before purchase. I feel ripped off.

While there is a big need for a book about Einstein that is accessible to teen readers, this book needs significant editing before it could be recommended. It is written at a level that is easily understood by a lay reader but the use of passive voice and grammatical error make it awkward to read. It appears to be self published and the lack of references for a non-fiction book creates questions of accuracy.

Short but filled with good information about Einstein. It provieded more information about areas of his life that are not emphasized...his pacificism, his political activity, his womanizing. Appreciated the different perspective, but the writing was not great. Could have used an editor.

Good Info, Poorly Written

This was definitely a worthy read, though midway through, I found myself longing for the end. It is obvious, however, that the author cares a great deal about the legacy and portrayal of Einstein and went to extreme lengths to hammer home certain ideas. Though I can respect that, it does become rather redundant and eventually feels forced, which makes a break-free read thru extremely painful. Overall, the content outweighed the cons, and it's certainly a must read for any Einstein admirer.

Interesting take on Einstein

Loved the book up until around the 6 th chapter,then it drags on about Einstein being a pacifist for the next few chapters...which should have been condensed to one chapter in my opinion. Chapter 10 is then an overview of the book. Which throughout the book the author tents to restate the important facts and points towards the end of each chapter. Overall the book kept my attention.

The book is written as more like an scientific essay or journals than a book. It is an easy read for people want to have a rough idea of what Einstein did and accomplished as a historic important figure.

Easy read.
Good summary of his work, life achievement, and his life goals.
Lack in details as to portray his characters, personal daily life in general to show what, why or how his curiosity was driven, how he thinks or why he thinks or acts...

The Genius behind the Legend

Great read that goes into the life of Einstein and how his personality overshadowed his work as a pacifist. Even his behavior portrays him as a mad scientist rather than a genius but e was largely a big part of that and broke the mold on the international level as well in the scientific level. A man who came from humble beginnings and changes the world.

There is a fascinating story to tell about Albert Einstein, his personal life, his world-shaking theories, and his ironic peace theories. This book, however, did not tell that story. It was one of the most poorly written books I have seen published. A high school English teacher would demand a rewrite.

I liked the insight into his life but not the writing itself. One takeaway from his life is that scientific discoveries and advancements are usually stitched together from several previous findings. It is about how you connect the dots that can make a big difference.
