I loved this book. It is beautiful and while I'm tempted to leave it out all year long, I want to reserve it for Christmas time. (I also don't want my kids to tear the flaps like every other "open the flap" book we have!) Note to myself for next year- don't attempt to read the book to the kids in one sitting. They'll get bored, you'll get mad and someone might cry.
This is such a very fun and entertaining children's book.
Jujur aku langsung googling, penasaran rupanya seperti apa.
People with restraint can use the book as an advent calendar. My family was able to stretch it to two days before half the kids couldn’t take it anymore and just had to lift all the flaps. Sturdy pages, pretty illustrations, a great intro to Christmas around the world for all ages.
loved the illustrations. each section is a riddle and the end of the book has a world map to show all the places the book covers. it can also double as an advent calendar as it has 24 flaps to lift.
I liked this book for covering the many Christmas traditions around the world. It also mentions Hanukkah and Kwanza, so it is a great way to incorporate diversity during the holidays!!
Love the variety of countries shown, the lift-the-flaps, the information in small tidbits. Does not come across as Euro-centric, which I especially appreciated.
