Buttageddon: The Final Days Of Pounding Ass

Rate this book
What would you do if you could never pound another butt? How far would you go? For Pupper, an unassuming 9-to-5 office wizard from Billings, Montana, the answer is "as far as it takes." When Pupper and a handful of Unicorn Butt Cops leave town on an errand for Mayor Fancy, they encounter a demon unlike anything they have ever seen. The group returns home to find the populace of several major cities across the United States have been systematically kidnapped by devilmen, and they set out to find the one responsible, Ted Cobbler. Now our hero, his unicorn lover, and a bad boy dinosaur wizard find themselves on a trek across this apocalyptic America, complete with ravenous mutant asses and flying cocks with scalding hot loads. Brought to you by the master of sensuality, Chuck Tingle, this erotic novel of gay romance and hardcore ass pounding will leave you breathless and begging for more! Death and Taxes Magazine raves, "Once in a generation, a literary mind comes along who's able to express the zeitgeist of the current age with inimitable, earth-shattering clarity. The '20s had F Scott Fitzgerald, the '70s had Hunter S. Thompson, the '80s had Don Delillo, and now, like a beacon shining on the horizon, comes a talent of truly ass-stounding proportions. I am speaking, of course, of bestselling e-book author Dr. Chuck Tingle." Lit Reactor says, "Chuck blurs the line between erotica, post-modernism, and meta-fiction. He is D.H. Lawrence, Paul Auster, and Dennis Cooper, all rolled into one and wrapped in a gi. Don't believe me? Read on, and try to resist... the Tingle."

Buttageddon: The Final Days of Pounding Ass is the second of legendary short story author Chuck Tingle’s full length novels. It is an apocalyptic sex comedy set in a world of magic, talking dinosaurs, and butt cops. Chuck Tingle’s unique writing sensibilities are of course what he is well known for; absolutely ludicrous characters in a silly world revolving around gay sex, or, as Tingle refers to it, “gayness” and “butt pounding.” While I don’t read Tingle’s shorts (lovingly referred to by the author as “tinglers”) because I prefer full length novels, I have previously read and reviewed his first novel, Helicopter Man Pounds Dinosaur Billionaire Ass, so I more or less knew what I was in for. Buttageddon, however, cranks the crazy up a notch, and Helicopter Man was already pretty crazy.

This is my first venture into Chuck Tingle's pounding ass catalog, and it's also my last...unless my library gets any more in. Pupper (the protagonist) is out in the woods when an evil magician takes all the people from his small town and, it turns out, also from Chicago and NY to pursue his nefarious goals. So he travels with a unicorn butt cop (everything is butts here; some of them don't even have other body parts) and a bad-boy triceratops wizard to try to stop the evil and rescue the people.

As usual with Tingle, it's all very gay, absolutely absurd, and hilarious. There is some actual gay sex, which is done pretty well. I'm not sure what's the deal with Tingle's grammar and typos; maybe he's rebelling against rules for possessive and plural apostrophes, usage of there and their, etc.; maybe he's misspelling and using wrong names to confuse the reader; and/or maybe he simply didn't want a proofreader.
