It's the year 200X and everyone in Den Tech City is plugged into the Net. But living in cyberspace isn't always fun and games. High-tech crimes and pesky viruses are always a big problem for the authorities. Thank gookness for MegaMan and his NetOperator, Lan Hikari. Together, they do their best to keep their hometown safe from being permanently deleted.
Venturing deeper and deeper into the murky UnderNet, MegaMan and Lan Hikari come face to face with PharaohMan - a 20,000-year-old relic from a long-forgotten civilization.
At his command, PharaohMan possesses the four holy warriors...each one as powerful as MegaMan himself!
Quickly, the cobalt-colored NetNavi figures out the score. If he can defeat each of these warriors, he'll be able to wrestle their collective strength away from PharaohMan.
With his pal GutsMan at his side, MegaMan is ready for a full-tilt fight. If he can defeat the fearsome foursome, he will be the strongest NetNavi in DenTech City!
Megaman gets kidnapped, a battle against Bass, a Mettaur-deleting cyclone, and an ancient pyramid all appear in the third volume of Megaman. Though action-packed, the plot also relies on cliches and stereotypes (particularly the "chosen one" trope). Despite this, the story is fun and balances humor and action well. The art is well-done, too, and the strong friendship between Lan and Megaman is reminiscent of Ash and Pikachu from Pokemon, if only Pikachu could talk.
Aimed at younger audiences, this series is a great choice for reluctant readers or folks looking for a manga that doesn't require too much thinking.
Traveling through the UnderNet, MegaMan and Lan stumble upon PharaohMan, who controls the deadly four Holy Warriors - each strong enough to send MegaMan flying! Takamisaki brings more heart and action with this informative entry. Can MegaMan and his friends stick around long enough to defeat such powerful opponents?
