This was my 6-year-old daughter's very first chapter book that she read on her own. I don't know if she understood all the words, but she could tell me about the story and things that were happening in it. While, it wouldn't have been my first pick for her very first chapter book to read on her own, I'm glad she was excited and motivated to read it all by herself. So, that's a great thing!
Was a cute read and my granddaughter that I gifted it to, loved it. I found the language the author altered to fit undersea life a bit taxing mostly because there was so much of it, but for the age group this book is intended for, it was probably fun.
