eponymous-ey sentence:
p10: "...If May Cox thinks that I am opposed to your having her at Lighthouse Point, I shall be offended if you do not immediately insist upon her being one of the party."

That ending caught me unaware, somehow.

It's so nice to know that there was no shortage of books to read even at the onset of the 20th century.

I initially skipped a couple of books of this series because I couldn't find them. Then I realized I didn't look hard enough.

Cute. The old fashioned language and the blatant marketing of other books in the series cracked me up.

Decent entry in the series, and I liked that Ruth's money problem did not resolved itself (even though she was presented with an easy out).
