Getting Lucky

My Review:
With a considerable departure for the main story, I found Getting Lucky a bit of erotic side candy and a short distraction with a quick novella that details brother Lucky's naughty adventures in Vegas. The Bunyan sized bumpkin fell quickly and he fell hard, but did he fall for an act? I'm not sure... I'm hoping not. However, it ends abruptly with a wicked cliffhanger that would normally have me stamping my little foot and streaming blue clouds, but since I already have the next installment waiting on my kindle - I'm not blasting steam out of my ears as would be my norm.

Miz Maggie does it again! Not sure how, but each new book she writes gets even better than the previous 5 star read! She keeps raising the bar on hot & steamy romantic suspense in contemporary fiction ;)... But make sure you have A/C, a fire extinguisher & a cooler of an ice-cold drinks handy when you read this one!! .... A fun sexy novella that portrays love, family unity, good friends, and smoldering hot sexy scenes with drama and suspense for a multi-genre must read! ... Oh, and a yummy recipe from the story is included :)
I love that it's a spin-off, kind of side story related to her previous books in the awesome Tempered Steel series :) Always different plots and never a boring story-line will keep the reader engaged and the pages turning, plus great attention to detail & developed characters that you would like to meet, if only they were real :)

I received a copy of 'Getting Lucky' in exchange for my honest review.
Having finished reading 'Getting Lucky' today.... I was surprised at how quickly I was drawn into the lives of the Coalson brothers again, it's been a few months since I read the first 3 books of the series. I highly recommend you read the "Tempered Steel" series in chronological order, the storyline follows through from book 1 & you wouldn't want to miss out on what happens prior to this novella.
I love how all the brothers are getting there own books, it's Lucky's turn in this novella 'Getting Lucky' although I feel like we may get his own full novel too. Lucky is on the prowl, well not for a lady at first, but for information, which leads him to Vegas & taking on a job as a bouncer at a casino..... Oh my what a ride this was, I was lost in the pages & then BAM I'd finished. What a finish! I'm not sure how Lucky & the Coalson's are going to pull through when things come to light. I fell in love with this series from the first book. Each book builds the suspense and brings you one step closer to finding out who is behind the attacks on Coalson Construction. Lucky Coalson is sent to Vegas to follow a lead about who is behind the accidents. Getting a job in a casino thought to be involved, Lucky meets the manager Claudia. He finds himself wanting her in a bad way. Claudia tries to brush him off but she in unable to. As Lucky gets closer to answers, Claudia is afraid her secret will come out.
Another great book in the series. I know it was a novella, but it was much to short. Yet it is not the end of Lucky and Claudia's story. The suspense is building and things are heating up in more ways then one. Looking forward to the next book. I really need answers.

What a great novella to get my motor revved up for Maggie Adams next installment in her Tempered Steel series. Lucky is on a mission but he gets distracted by a busty blonde! What a man! This was a fun and very hot addition, it will have your toes curling.
Maggie Adams never disappoints with her quick whit and saucy banter. I can't wait until November to see what is up with the yummy Coalson brothers.

Just not that Lucky.
1st disclaimer, I wasn’t aware that this was part of a series when I started this book.
2nd disclaimer, I listened to the audiobook and had earbuds in and unable to stop the book (hands were busy), so I tried to keep an open mind while listening to the book.
Lucky goes to Vegas and is looking for a connection to the trouble that has befallen his family. While there he falls in love with Claudia. Ok, so we have the boy meets girl and of course she is part of the problem or at least bound up in it somehow. Now we bring in the BDSM club and things get really weird for me. I am not an expert by any means but nothing that happens in this club is very believable…at least to me. In my opinion, the narrator wasn’t that great for the story either. He wasn’t the guy for Lucky. Then the cliffhanger was huge! I just don’t know if I have it in me to explore this series any further but if I do, I will be reading it, not listening to it.

This is my first read by this author and I now realize there is some books that come before it which I think I will be purchasing to understand this one a little better. But I thoroughly enjoyed reading Getting Lucky. It was hot and steamy, quite the read and again I've had this on my kindle for a while and it was the blurb that intrigued me plus the cover. I wish it was a little longer but it was a good quick read.

This was a quick read highly erotic no real depth too short and no real story to go with it. They meet chemistry is high wham bam done. As this author gets more into the series she gets more in touch with the erotic side and less with the story that it should enhance. In all the stories the men are dominant and expecting their women to be subs in the bedroom. ho hum

I enjoyed the story. The plot and characters were intriguing. Wish I would known it was ending in a cliffhanger. I wouldn't of started it without knowing there was a series and this is in the middle.

Love this story! Each character is created so well and realistic. This story is different than the others so far as it takes place in Las Vegas! Super cute and makes you wonder where the Coalson's will end up next.

A creative little novella that follows Lucky Coalson as he roots around in Vegas trying to find out who caused his family so much strife.
The fire at that caused so much destruction at the offices of Coalson Construction Offices was deliberate and that means someone is to blame, someone knows who did it and why and Lucky is determined to find out everything he can.
What he hadn’t anticipated was running into a woman like Claudia, the manager at Mississippi Flame, where Lucky is working as a bouncer. Now, this is a novella so it might be short on pages but it doesn’t lack content because the author goes all out with the mystery, intrigue and attitude.
There was more to Claudia that meets the eye but Lucky was viewing everything she had through rose tinted glasses and despite the fact that his brother’s best mate Noah tried to warn him about her, Lucky is having none of it and Noah’s warning is falling on deaf ears.
It is obvious that Lucky will do whatever it takes to protect her. Just how far that might have to go…well you need to read to find that out!
But a quick word of warning ladies, her deception well let’s just say you will be ready to reach for something intensely alcoholic to temper your temper!

This is a brand spanking new author for me and the first book I have ever read by her. So I am always on the hunt for authors that can wow me and keep me coming back. And this book looked right up my alley so I jumped right on it and I am so glad I did because she rocked this book. I did find after reading this book it is part of a series so I will definitely be going back to grab the prior books.
This book was quite good. Hot, steamy, and suspenseful, this book will grab you from the beginning until the last sentence. This is the beginning of Lucky and Claudia's story but definitely not the end. Lucky is on a mission to get answers. When he meets Claudia, she is a hot little distraction that he can't get enough of. Their chemistry is on fire. The flames between them ignite when they collide. Get ready for one crazy ride that will leave you breathless, panting, and begging for more.
I recommend this book.

This book continues with Lucky getting Lucky in Vegas. The plot continues to thickening. We get the twist, turns and a love story.
Lucky meets Claudia at the bar she manages and Lucky is going to be a bouncer at. Lucky starts falling for Claudia while trying to figure out who is behind hurting his family at home. Noah who is Sam's best friend and is helping with investigation thinks Claudia is not who she says she is. Lucky doesn't want to believe Noah. When Lucky decided he wants to make Claudia his wife, know one can talk him out of it.
All is well until the wedding night. Has Lucky's Luck ran out? and is Claudia actually in on the plot?

Claudia is working at Mississippi Flame to pay off a debt. Lucky goes out to find Noah who is friends with his older brother Sam. Noah tries to Lucky to see the truth about Claudia.
Lucky is a bouncer for the Mississippi Flame, he is 25 years old, has a crush on Claudia. Claudia is the manager and the bartender of Mississippi Flame, she has a crush on Lucky. Noah is the best hacker known by the government. He is a border line genius and a hermit.
This is a Novella for the Steel Series. It's very well written and the characters are very well developed. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. I couldn't help but feel very connected to the characters. This book is a fast read and very hard to put down.If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would.

I gave this series a rest for awhile, but I’m glad I picked it up again. This one is a short novella covering the story of Lawrence “Lucky” Coalson as he travels to Vegas in pursuit of the person responsible for the recent fire that destroyed his family’s construction business. It’s super short, only 60 pages packed with something mysterious going on in Vegas that’s somehow connected with Coalson Construction in Grafton, IL.
I have mixed emotions about this one. I liked reconnecting with the Coalson brothers, but I didn’t connect with this book as well as I had the previous ones. Maybe because it’s so quick, maybe because there’s really no backstory given to Lucky. I don’t know. I found myself skimming a lot of it. Lucky and Claudia both are kind of annoying. I just wasn’t feelin’ this one.

Maybe because it’s so quick, maybe because there’s really no backstory given to Lucky. I don’t know. I found myself skimming a lot of it. Lucky and Claudia both are kind of annoying. I just wasn’t feelin’ this one.

Maggie has gone and done it AGAIN.
We're seeing Lucky working at the Mississippi Flame where he meets the ever so sexy hard arse manager Claudia.
He feels like he NEEDS to protect her though Sam's Seal Mate Noah is telling him to steer away as they don't know IF She had ANYTHING to do with the arson, but Lucky doesn't think so and all he wants he realizes is to marry her, but has she GOT ANYTHING To DO WITH THE ARSON..... there is SO much going on and intensity in such a short book, but oh so worth it and I REALLY Can't wait to see what happens next and see what Claudia is up to even IF she is up to anything

Lucky Coalson is one fine hot totty! He will surly get you fired up for Maggie Adams next installment in her Tempered Steel series. Lucky is a man on a mission but he doesn’t think a fun can hurt either.
