4 - ”We can’t ignore this any longer… We need to talk.” Stars.

Without a doubt Weather The Storm has been my favorite novella of the series so far. Initially I was a bit peeved that the Daniels family were being introduced, particularly this late in the series, and considering the plethora of characters and families that already have however many plots and story-lines running through the series already.

”You don’t need to play with fire to get burned. Sometimes you just get burned.”

But it was nice to actually read of a regular couple dealing with issues, that weren’t overly dramatized or keeping secrets and telling each other lies, which can pretty much be attributed to almost every other person that I have so far come across whilst reading about the mainly awful residents of Storm, Texas.

”I’m scared… I have been for a long time.”

It is a shame that it took so long for a couple with a decent family base behind them and some basic self-respect for themselves to have their story told. Bryce and Tara were a man and a woman struggling, dealt the blow that no loving parent want’s to have to face, in that their son isn’t quite the normal little boy (by generic standards anyway) they thought he was, but still extremely special in his own right. And looking to try and make the adjustments to their life and relationships to ensure that he as well as their young daughter still get the best care and upbringing they can give them.

One book left, and Dee Davis has a massive amount of cleaning up to do. My only hope… That Dakota Alvarez gets everything she deserves and then some in the finale!

In this 7th installment of the Rising Storm Series Lisa Mondello did an amazing job with this episode, Weather The Storm. In this episode, the author captured readers attentions with an emotional pull of a real family trying to weather the storm as they struggle with how to deal with their autistic son. I really enjoyed this installment because there was no scandal, sex, or lies. It's refreshing to finally see a family trying to work through their problems and I loved that the Tara and Bryce were able to come together as a family unit. A part of me is thankful that there is one sane family in this town of sex, scandals, and lies. What drew me into this episode was the author did a great job incorporating heart, honesty, and raw vulnerability. Lisa Mondello is a new author for me but after reading this episode, I look forward to checking out her other works. Ahh....one more episode left and I can't wait to see how this serial will wrap up.

A pastor loses faith in his own life, his marriage and refuses to accept some emotionally devastating news. As Bryce distances himself from his wife and family, Tara feels her own resentment rise.
Someone learns that just maybe, delivering a cold ultimatum is not the way to win love and trust, while Dakota is still lost in her pathetic fantasy that she will become the “good” senator’s wife. As Sebastian sets her straight, he may be giving her ammo for future attacks.
Will the truth of one woman’s pregnancy finally be revealed? Will she realize that the relationship she has with her late best friend’s parents is unhealthy and stifling?

So much drama, so many clandestine relationships, lies and pain, Storm may just be Hell’s way station for new candidates. Weather the Storm by Lisa Mondello adds one more jagged piece of the puzzle to the town that is Storm. Feel the tension rise, as we are railroaded to the top of the cliff and prepare for the final plunge that should be both breath-taking and fierce!

Indulge your inner voyeur, secure in the knowledge that you don't live in Storm.

The end is nearly in sight for this season and we finally get to the Daniels family story. Now these characters are related to other citizens in town who have been up to some naughty business so I was expecting another scandal filled drama episode .

In fact it wasn’t anything but that, Tara and Bryce story was about them and how they being coping as they have left things to fester issues that could be easily resolved but haven’t because of death of Jacob and the news that has rocked their family.

Weather the Storm is not about the storm that has taken over the town and affecting so many people . In fact is the personal storm that has engulfed this family and left them dealing with an issue that will never go away.

Their son is autistic…..

Tara and Bryce are dealing with the news differently and the focus for this episode is on them as they try to make sense of the news and try to deal with their problems. No one wants to deal with the fact that their child is a little different, little special then others and the fact that it causing drama in their family. Normal couple relationship stuff and it is refreshing as whilst they there was hints of drama and secrets and more that we come to know. It was about a family who was in need of help and was floundering.

It a beautiful story and whilst this was only a short novella I could easily read a 100 pages more as this family calls to you as they are more realistic and honest compared to some of the other characters we have seen in this series so far. Yes they had their secrets but the secrets were only hurting themselves and the other secrets well we have to see what happens as are more people are learning them.....

Weather The Storm is a great addition to this serial series. I’ve said it before and I will say it again, I love how easy this series has flowed, not an easy feat with a different author taking on each episode. And Lisa Mondello did an excellent job with her spin on this series. It captivates you and has yourself asking a lot of questions. You get to see the struggles that Brice and Tara are experiencing. You understand the fears that Brice has and why he’s pushing his wife and family away…..

Just like with the previous episodes, I am hooked. I have to know what’s going to happen next. Things are finally starting to come ahead in Storm, Texas and now the question is, what will happen next? Who will come out of the storm unscathed? I don’t know about you guys, but I will be on pins and needles, waiting to see how everything will come together in the end. With only one more episode to go, the storm will finally arrive in Storm, Texas……

Quick & Dirty: Emotional and touching story about a family dealing with a child with autism.

Opening Sentence: A bad night for EMT Patrick Murphy was when a call turned into a DOA.

The Review:

Weather the Storm is the penultimate book in Season One of the Rising Storm series. This installment was a much heavier and slower read than the other novellas in this series so far. The Autism storyline was very emotional and impactful. Even though reading this installment felt slow, some crazy stuff happens in this novel that makes reading this series so worth it.

This episode focuses heavily on a marriage that could be potentially falling apart. Bryce Douglas and Tara Douglas haven’t had much page time until now. Bryce and Tara have been growing distant from one another and from their own children. Their youngest child has been diagnosed with Autism. The entire family is having the deal with the impact of the diagnosis. Tara tries talking to her husband about it but he won’t give her the time of day. He keeps brushing her off. Tara has her family to fall back on but Bryce has a dark family secret that weighs heavily on him. Bryce is a minister and is having a hard time with his faith and himself in this dark time. I was amazed how this story played out. The author did a great job with conveying emotions and how to deal with Autism in such an educated way.

Oh my goodness, I cannot believe how this story ended, although I wasn’t surprised. I figured it would have been the Season One finale instead of the book before. No spoilers here, but I can’t wait to see how this plays out. It’s not going to be good for anyone in the town of Storm!

I think I found the first continuity issue with the series. Take the Storm ended with Marisol giving Patrick her decision, but at the beginning of Weather the Storm Patrick said he was still waiting on her decision. “The ball was in her court.” Or maybe he’s just still waiting for her to change her mind about her decision.

Weather the Storm was a deeply emotional journey. I wasn’t exactly happy with how people were treating each other but the emotional outcome was worth it. I can’t wait to read about the hurricane that is about to land in Storm, stuff is certainly going to be stirred up in the final novella in the Rising Storm series.

Notable Scene:

She sat on the sofa and lifted the curtain just enough to see if there were any cars coming into the lot. Nothing. Didn’t he know how much she needed him? Her arms ached for him now. Wasn’t it bad enough that Dakota didn’t have her daddy around to give her affection? Jacob was gone. She wasn’t going to lose Sebastian too.

Sebastian didn’t love his wife. He loved her. He’d proven it to her countless times. He hadn’t exactly said the words before. But he loved making love to her. Every time his gaze raked over her body, it made her tremble deep inside. He feasted on her like it was his last meal. She was his. How could a man do that if he wasn’t in love?

Finally there’s a bit of happiness in Storm, Texas! Episode 7, Weather the Storm by Lisa Mondello finds one family dealing with a devastating diagnosis for one of their children, two people who want to be together struggling with making that happen, a young woman scorned and planning revenge, and more secrets close to being uncovered as the town moves towards its Founder’s Day celebration. I’m nervous, excited and on the edge of my seat as we approach the end of this season of books in this series.

Finding out their young son has been diagnosed with autism sends Pastor Bryce and Tara Douglas’s life into a tailspin. While Tara is trying to remain positive and work on finding strategies what work with Patrick, Bryce is feeling helpless, alone and very scared it is his fault. This was really a touching segment to this series and it did a fantastic job of showing how different people react to such a diagnosis, but one I loved most was the outcome for this couple. Seriously a big sigh moment!

Ginny’s pregnancy is beginning to become more noticeable but so is her relationship with the newly returned Logan. It’s evident that the town is talking about how she’s bearing one man’s child and she’s dating someone new, but Jacob is determined to be there for her. Ginny’s secret though could send him packing and unfortunately Dakota Alvarez whose affair with Senator Rush has run its course is starting to piece things together which could spell disaster for more than just Ginny and Logan.

Amid the Founder’s Day preparations there are several couples struggling with relationship issues, secrets are beginning to unravel and there’s an overall feeling that something big is brewing and the town of Storm is in for a wild ride. I am so enthralled with this series, this town, its residents and their crazy lives that are somehow all entwined and have a feeling once things begin to unravel the town will never be the same.

One of the things I really appreciated about this book was that a good chunk of the drama was mainly family drama. It's so rare for soap operas on television to actually show a couple have some problem that isn't either death or someone trying to come between them. In the case of this book, it was Bryce and Tara having issues due to (1) their son having autism and (2) Bryce worrying that his son was going to end up schizophrenic like his mother.

I like the way the drama played out. It started off with us seeing Bryce and Tara on the outs, and Tara not really understanding why Bryce wasn't being as attentive at home. It also showed that they each have a very supporting family, though Tara's is larger and Bryce only has his sister. I also liked the relationship that Bryce and Kristin have. It was very much like my relationship with my sister. Supportive, but also willing to call each other out when they're being stupid.

My very favorite part was the ending of this part of Bryce and Tara's story. They ended up having their home to themselves, and Bryce was cooking dinner like he'd done in the past. And he actually *told* Tara about his issues with his mother, and the reveal that his mother is still alive. But they actually communicated! So very rare in soap opera-type stories. I really appeciated that.

The downside to this book is that we still had to deal with Dakota and Senator Rush. Granted, I am anticipating what Dakota will do with her newfound knowledge that Senator Rush slept with Ginny, only in that I want to see Senator Rush revealed for the terrible person he is. I'm assuming we'll find that out in the last book of this season. Either way, I still can't stand Dakota, which is unusual because I tend to like those pariah-type characters, such as Kendall Hart on All My Children or Carly Benson on General Hospital. Typically I can find something to relate to them, but I'm having a hard time with Dakota, mainly because she is so utterly selfish and really terrible to her mom. Maybe Book 8 will have a turning point for her. Or maybe I'll need to wait until the second season to see her become more of a character I like. Here's hoping, anyway...

The Storm is going to hit hard in this town and one is going to see it coming. I have to say Part 7 of this series is another amazing look into the town of Storm Texas.
In this installment we get to see the struggles that Byrce the Pastor of the town and his wife Tara are dealing with when it comes to their son. You want to reach out and hug them and tell them that everything will be okay.
Dakota Alvarez is the towns ticking time bomb and Senator Rush better hope he gets out of the way fast enough.
We have had seven different authors pen each installment but the writing is flawless and the story continues like they are all one. If you want to read a series that will most definitely keep you coming back for more this is the one you definitely do not want to miss.

Nothing tests your faith, like finding out your child has been burdened with a lifelong disability. And it’s even harder to fathom when you’re a man of the cloth.

Bryce has devoted his life to the church and the members of his flock. So is it too much to expect that he would be blessed with the perfect family?

While preaching to his congregation that the Lord works in mysterious ways may come as second nature to Bryce, he will need to dig deep to overcome his devastation when his little boy is diagnosed autistic.

But like all the other drama surrounding beautiful town of Storm; Bryce’s problems are mere a drop in the proverbial ocean of emotional, physical and moral dilemmas about to shatter this little town.

Baton down the hatches, cause simmering pot is ready to erupt.

This installment is mostly about Tara and her husband Pastor Bryce. They are having problems dealing with their autistic son and it's putting a strain on their marriage. I hate to say this, but I was bored. I have no idea why this book was mostly about these 2 characters. The only exciting thing happened and the end. I can only hope that the last book with have all the action. Still waiting for the storm......

This is the 7th book in the Rising Storm Series. These books read like soap-opera type books. There are many story lines with many characters.

This book focuses on some of the newer characters brought to life last in in the last book. The preacher, his wife, and their two children. One is autistic.

These books have far to many characters and story lines for me to keep them all straight. They (the characters) are mentioned so few and far between, it is hard to care about any of them. I feel no emotional connection to any of these people, and frankly can't wait to get through with the series so I can move on to something a little more interesting. If you like a quick read full of drama this is the book for you. If you want substance, skip it and go for the next book in your kindle. Happy Reading

This addition was a bit calmer than the others, but that could be what I liked about it. It focused on the Pastor and his wife Tara. They are having issues in their home life due to the struggles with their children. It just shows that even the town Pastor has his own issues he needs to work out making him more human. I liked how they eventually got on common ground and are working to fix their marriage. There are so many secrets and backstabbing that happens through the series, that it brought some sort of relief that someone can work through their problems.

The scenes dealing with Rush and Dakota were great too. I can't stand that girl, but I can't keep myself from wondering what she will do next. Rush is just as horrible and he deserves what he gets, but it will be a big explosion in his face when Dakota gets her revenge.

I love this episode. This brings Bryce, the town minister to the forefront with his wife Tara and their two kids, Carol and Daniel. Daniel has recently been diagnosed with autism, and the book goes into how to learn to help Daniel and the family deal with it. There are also some issues in Bryce's past that will come up that effect the way he deals...or doesn't deal with the diagnosis. We also get to see the others in town that we are growing to love and hate, a good listen! Paul Boehmer narrates giving Bryce the voice to help him start to deal with his life, continuing his enjoyable performance.

So usually when I see that a book from the Rising Storm series has hit my kindle I do a little dance (it's true) and try to clear everything away so I that no one interrupts me and I can sink into my guilty pleasure *sigh*... But this week when Weather The Storm showed up, for the very first time I paused. Here we are Episode #7! *GASP* Lisa Mondello presents us with the next to last episode of the season and I just don't know if I am ready for this... Okay.. yeah that pause didn't last all that long. Because the lure of Storm was calling for me. And once again I was sucked into the world that these authors have painted for us.

In this episode we slip into the private lives of Bryce and Tara Daniels and their family. They are struggling. This is a theme that many people can relate to. Having issues communicating with a spouse, not knowing how to talk about your fears and instead turning inward instead of to each other for comfort. Bryce and Tara's son was just formally diagnosed with autism. Tara comes from a large and very close family and they have surrounded the Daniels' with love and support. However, this diagnosis has brought up old fears and insecurities for Bryce and a close family that one can rely on is not something that he is accustomed to so he retreats further away. Will Bryce and Tara make it through these new challenges? Will they come out of this a stronger family and weather this storm or will it batter them?

What adds an extra layer to this family drama is that Bryce is the Pastor in this tiny scandal driven town of Storm. And he feels the weight of everything that has been going on -- all the sorrow and grief. So he has been trying to bury his own issues and dive into supporting and being there for his parishioners instead. In addition it is hard when you may be having a crisis of faith yourself. Questioning what is going on with your own family, your son... But it was actually THESE very issues that drew me into this story first. Many of us have had a crisis of faith before when we have seen something happen to someone we love. Whether you have a strong connection to your religion and have a crisis that way or whether you just sit there and scream to no one and nothing in particular WHY WHY WHY? Questioning because you don't know what to do or how to help or how to move past where you are right now. This is not an issue that is Bryce's alone. And often we forget that it is the simplest things we need to do. Talk. Communicate. Touchbase with another. And that is EXACTLY what Bryce had lost sight of. Watching Bryce and Tara find their way to each other was just beautiful. It brought a ray of light back into Storm.

I definitely recommend that you tune into this series. Just start from the beginning ;) They are fun, quick reads that will grab you and suck you in!

So let's start with Dakota. She has to be one of the most clueless females on the planet. Her drunk father spent her childhood convincing her that she was perfect and special. He deliberately alienated her from the rest of her family. Now he is gone and she is lost. But she is so much worse than lost she is cruel, backstabbing and conniving. The only good thing I can see coming of this is that hopefully Sebastian Rush will get what's coming to him. He's an even bigger snake in the grass. It's almost fitting that they will be each other's undoing. Unfortunately, I think Dakota will take everyone else in Storm down with her. While I couldn't care less about the senator or Dakota getting what's coming to them I do feel for the people that truly love each other getting caught in the middle.
Then there's Bryce and Tara. While I'm glad they seem to finally be on the same page it's hard to imagine it taking so many people to get them there. Why is it that Tara didn't feel she could talk to her husband? She seemed afraid of losing him more than she was of saving her marriage or their children's relationship with their father. I understand Bryce has childhood issues of his own but Tara comes from a well rounded independent family. She should have been more able to handle the situation with her husband without having half the community do it for her.
I know this is a soap opera but I'm still having a hard time with the way the women are portrayed in this series. Most of them come across clueless, spineless without the ability to think for themselves. I know as women we all have our doubts but this is a bit much. An entire town can't be full of clueless women in the 21st century.

I cannot say I was particularly looking forward to this episode; we had only met Pastor Daniels’ family briefly before this, and I wasn’t sure if would be very interested, but then again I was not familiar with Ms. Mondello’s writing.

Very early on morning, Patrick Murphy happens to see little Danny Daniels wandering all alone about the town square. Marisol Moreno sees them and rushes to the scene. Danny has recently been diagnosed with autism, and it’s wreaking havoc in the Daniels household. Pastor Bryce cannot accept his son’s condition because he keeps thinking about his own horrible childhood. While about town, Tara Daniels notices that Kristin, her sister-in-law, seems to be going to the pharmacy quite often. And Dakota, still dreaming of becoming Senator Rush’s future wife, realises something huge that might help her cause, one way or another…

WEATHER THE STORM is one of the best episodes so far, thanks to Lisa Mondello’s beautiful and very sensitive writing. I became completely absorbed in the story from page one, and she even had me crying at Tara and Bryce’s story. My knowledge of autism is extremely limited, and I believe Ms. Mondello’s portrayal of the trials a family goes through is quite accurate. I also loved how the transition between the various dialogues was seamless. And in spite of her many shortcomings, and what she’s most likely about to do, I am still concerned about Dakota Alvarez’s safety… Episode 8 is going to be epic! WEATHER THE STORM is positively exceptional!

Well this week's Episode was full of surprises, revelations and some deceitful plans being put into play. Lisa certainly didn't disappoint me with this installment.

We learn so much more about Storm's Pastor Bryce Douglas and his wife Tara and the struggles they're having in learning their son Danny has some special needs. There's also their daughter, Carol that is feeling some of the residual effects of having a special needs brother. We learn that Bryce has some very real concerns that come from the way he was raised. Their marriage is not what it appears to be on the outside.

Not only is Bryce dealing with his family issues, he learns something about his sister Kristin that he wasn't expecting and not only does he confront her about it, but, she's not discussing it with him and isn't ashamed of what she's doing. We also get a glimpse into the storm brewing between Tara's brother's Tucker and Tate and the beautiful Veterinarian Hannah. This triangle was hinted at in an earlier episode so I'm anxious to see how this turns out.

Dakota Alvarez on the other hand has visions of grandeur where Sebastian Rush is concerned. Not only does Sebastian lead her on with his actions, to us the reader it's clear he's using her, but unfortunately Dakota doesn't see that until one fateful night. Senator Rush has some revelations of his own which opens Dakota's eyes wide!! And she is going to cause some major trouble I can just see it coming!!

I sincerely hope that the 8th and final installment of this fabulous series brings conclusion to all of the drama that has been brewing these last few weeks. I for one hope we get at LEAST one HEA!!!

Well, we are coming to an end. Finally! And I finally see the way things will start blowing up in people's faces. Although, I foresee a cliffhanger ending to this season. Not happy about that.

WEATHER THE STORM felt a bit like a preparation for the end type of installment. What I liked about it is that it lacked the over the top drama that the rest of the characters experience in Storm. This story centers around Bryce, the Pastor, and his wife Tara. They are dealing with their youngest song being diagnosed with autism and how that is taking a toll on their marriage. I was really happy that the author didn't work in extra stuff. And to see somewhat of a happy resolution to their issues. The first in this series history!

Then there's Dakota. I really dislike her character and she seems to be the one that will bring hell on Ginny Moreno's parade. It had to be, right?

Overall, I couldn't quite connect with the characters in this story as much as I wanted to and we don't get enough of the ones I do care about to keep pushing me to continue, although I will finish this "season".

Well, we are coming to an end. Finally! And I finally see the way things will start blowing up in people’s faces.

I was really happy that the author didn’t work in extra stuff. And to see somewhat of a happy resolution to their issues. The first in this series history!

In this installment in the series, Pastor Bryce Daniels is dealing with the fact that his son was diagnosed with autism. While he withdraws from his family, his wife, Tara, has to keep everything together with the help of her family.

Bryce comes to resent Tara's family, mainly because he feels like they're helping his son while he feels helpless about the situation. Because of his childhood, he also fears that his son may have a mental issue instead of autism.

Tara, not knowing why Bryce is pulling away, feels a variety of emotions--anger, sadness, and a determination to help her son. She works with his teacher on a plan to get him on the right track, even when Bryce refuses to help. When Bryce finally confides in her, she understands his fears and works on convincing him that their son is nothing like Bryce's mother was.

Dakota finds out she's not Sebastian's only conquest; he makes the mistake of telling her he was also with Ginny Moreno. She suspects that Ginny's baby may not be Jacob's but Sebastian's, and she's undoubtedly going to find a way to use this against him.

With each book tensions are getting higher. The storm's about to hit, and it doesn't seem like anybody is going to be safe.

The seventh book in this series, which need to be read in order.

In Weather the Storm, we get to know Rev. Bryce and his wife Tara. They are going through a difficult time in which they are dealing with the fact that their son is autistic. Tara meets this head on, but Bryce spends more time away from Tara and the family because he has trouble dealing with the circumstances. Tara does a good job trying to help her young daughter cope with the extra attention Danny is getting without any help from her husband. He has just sort of shut himself away, using his position as pastor as a ready excuse. He also knows about his sister Kristin's affair and tries his best to thwart it, but to no avail.

Dakota has finally realized that her relationship with the Senator may not be as secure as she thought. When she blows up at Sebastian, he inadvertently gives her the ammunition to bring him down.

What I like about this installment is that Bryce and Tara's story is told and is brought to a conclusion instead of the continuing cliffhanger. The final installment in this "season" is the number eight. The real issues of a normal couple is a refreshing break, but you know the storm is coming.

I received an ARC of this book from InkSlinger PR in exchange for an honest review and as part of the book's release day promotions.

We're finally nearing the end of this season in what has become a favorite soap-opera-in-words. This is now the seventh episode, the second to the last out of an eight-episode season. Let me just say that I was really thinking the last two episodes would be very explosive. It's isn't like that at all. That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy this episode because I truly did.

Weather The Storm is aptly titled because here you will see how one family tries to weather a big storm that has come into their life. It wasn't about outside forces like an affair, a scandal, sex secrets and all that. The storm was within the family. This story was more on what made a family stronger, what made them come together, what makes this family different than other families in this town.

While I didn't get what I was expecting, I still really liked this installment because it gave good characters who weren't out for blood and scandal for a change. I think I appreciated the fact that this was more of a "looking inside yourself" kind of thing. Anyway, next week is finally the eight episode, and I can't wait to read what it's going to be all about.

The penultimate episode in this highly addictive series and I can barely contain myself, as the inevitable storm is getting closer and promises to be as dangerous and destructive as predicted.

This week the capable writing reins are in the hands of author Lisa Mondello as our attention is shifted towards Storm's pastoral care-giver Pastor Bryce Douglas and his family.

An autism diagnosis is difficult for any parent to comprehend and in Bryce's case, he doesn't want to accept his son has problems that need immediate attention. He's available to the community 24/7 to offer help to his congregation, but that doesn't apply to his wife Tara, daughter Carol and son Danny. Luckily, actions from interfering family members are a wake-up call for Bryce as he

The prize for the biggest foot-in-mouth moment goes to Sebastian Rush, when he accidentally lets slip some personal information to the town's ticking bomb a.k.a Dakota Alvarez...oops!

Again the writing is exemplary and seamless making this another high octane episode. I can't wait for the big explosive finale in Thunder Rolls by Dee Davis.

This episode focuses mainly on Tara, Bryce and their family. Though Dakota has a few great scenes as well.

What I loved:
• Dakota's scenes were written fantastically. She was in perfect form in this book... for Dakota, that is.
• Some long awaited events are starting to unfold which is awesome.
• Mondello wrote Tara and Bryce well. I could feel that what they were going through and how it was taking a toll on their relationship and themselves personally as well.
• Also I enjoyed how this was dealt with.

What I liked less:
• This novella took me a while to read.. While overall it was good, I felt a lot of time was devoted to Tara and her mundane activities to get her mind off what she's dealing with. Personally, I didn't feel these activities needed to be written in as much detail as they were.

I am very excited to read (what I believe is) the last episode of the series! It has been a totally unique series for me and I recommend it.

Heartwarming and raw!
Weather the Storm is still full of gasping and surprises, but this episode is a bit more emotional than some of the previous episodes. Bryce is the town pastor, and has his hands full with taking care of the problems of others in town, especially after the passing of Jacob Salt. However, his home life is full of issues that he is not dealing with. Tara, his wife, is trying to take care of their newly diagnosed son with autism, and definitely has her hands full. Will the two of them be able to form a cohesive family unit once again, or will it unravel in the storm? I loved all the feelings in this episode, it was real and sad and happy all rolled into one big ball. This didn't have quite as many shocking moments, but it was nonetheless engrossing reading. If you haven't yet started this series, get started now!
