I read this book aloud to some of my kids (14 down to 6, but even the 18 year old loves to sit in). They LOVED it, and would beg for me to read it to them. "Please, just one more chapter!" was commonly heard from my crew. The family happenings in this book are wholesome and encouraging. My kids laughed a lot.

This was a sweet book read as a read aloud to my kids. It is wholesome and has good examples of living in a Christian household.

I just read this book to my little brothers and we all enjoyed it. The family in the story is quite similar to our own in many ways. The boys are now into detectives! They really enjoyed the mysteries as did I. At times though I felt there was a bit to much about life and not enough about the mysteries. I think the boys felt that too. The Cases only are part of the story, general life (which is interesting) also gets a lot of page space and it can feel a bit like that is not what the story is meant to be about.

But the book is full of great messages and lessons. The characters are lovely peopel. I would highly rocomend this as a family read aloud for any little ones.

It would be a 3 star book, but they blabbered about random stuff too much.
