I wasn’t sure of this pairing but I knew Denny needed a mate that would challenge him and get his quarks and not want to make him change.
I loved this BOOK!!!
I loved that Denny is Denny throughout he doesn’t change but for his feelings. I love that Maze is growing up to know what she wanted and she fights for it.
I love that she is a strong woman and is someone Denny can lean on if he needs to. Because his past demons have shaped him and his wolf and he needs someone strong, someone, who isn’t afraid of his wolf or his love.
I loved the connection Denny and Maizey still have but it’s a grown connection and it's pretty great.
I loved that we get all the whole pack and I have to say this book made me realize that April really is human … I think she needs to run into a Mage ;) just saying :p
And again Nicole is fanfreakingtastic!! This lady kills it. Denny wouldn’t be Denny without the way she brings him to life. Ok that’s not true Dannika wrote him like that but Nicole brings his personality to life. Loved it.
*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*
★★★★½ Two Minutes is the sixth installment in Dannika Dark's paranormal/shifter romance series titled Seven. Each book in this series features a different lead character/romance, and this one is about little Maizy. After being sent away to boarding school, she returns to the only home she has every known. Not much has changed...well except for her! She's all grown up now, and Denver is struggling not to notice.
Followers of the Seven series will be very familiar with Maizy and Denver's relationship. Denver has always served as Maizy's protector, her "watchdog" up until she was sent away. So I was a bit conflicted at times to see their relationship turn into a romance. Due to shifter immortality, Denver has physically been an adult during Maizy's entire childhood. It was just weird to change my mindset from an appropriate child/adult dynamic to a non-platonic adult/adult dynamic. However, I should note that the romance is not immediate, which I appreciated. Afterall, it took me a minute to buy into it.
Dannika Dark writes Two Minutes through Maizy's perspective, which was incredibly helpful in getting to know Maizy as the woman she has become. Once I got over the initial hesitation of viewing her as an adult, Denver's reaction to her became pretty fun to watch. Overall, Two Minutes was sweet, funny, angsty, and very sexy. In addition to the romance, a lot goes on in this story to add some suspenseful emotions. It was a fun read. If this series has ever caught your eye, I would recommend it. I'm enjoying it and will be sad when it's over. Check it out!
A sidenote about Prince:
My favorite quote: “Every person you meet in your life is your destiny. We alter the course of every life we touch, whether we realize it or not.”

Am I the only person who's going to be cringing whilst reading this? To me Denver is like a father figure or at least similar to a brother to Maizy. I love the blurb and i would have loved this concept if Denver wasn't so close to her when she was a child, it's pretty disturbing how she is going to be seen as a love interest to Denver never mind being seen as sexually attractive too. I'm contemplating if i should give this a go or not, i really want to as i love Denver so freaking much!
This book was nearly all disappointment for me. This series has been a bit of a mixed bag for me but i think to me this is the worst because i had been looking forward to Maizy and Denny's story for so long. Dark seems to be fond of this sort of false construct love triangles. But its not really a triangle if the potential other person is totally distasteful. I've long been interested in Prince's story because he's always seemed so sweet. But to quote another reviewer "the enigmatic Prince turned out to be just another rich guy who thought he could buy what he wanted." He's gross and douchey in this book and I went from loving him to being completely disinterested in his ending. So then you're left with Denver but honestly i don't really buy their relationship that much. After 10 years of separation you get all these magical convenient plot points with harps swelling and doves cooing. It makes you want to believe in their love. But if you read critically what you see is Denver essentially deciding that love isn't enough to get over the fact that Maizy is mortal and would someday maybe die before him. That's not romantic...its selfishness. It's saying that i'm going to push her away and lie about my feelings because my "love" isn't enough to risk the hurt for her. But how is that love? Then there are all the instances where he just doesn't really treat her in a savory way...especially for a love interest. I found a lot of his actions and words hurtful and Maizy became weak in my eyes for not holding him accountable for these hurtful things. I was also left unsatisfied by Denver's backstory. In every book we hear about his big bad wolf and wonder what the story there is. Then we get it...and you're left scratching your head trying to figure out why this story really made him a crazy wolf because it doesn't really seem to connect and it honestly reads pretty dry with very little emotional connection for the reader. I also felt that the plot construction was kind of iffy. It seemed like it had too many separate plot lines going on and bringing them together was kind of shaky. I also felt like the ending could have been better by giving them a definitive HEA rather than ending on just being in a good relationship place. Pretty much the only thing i got true enjoyment out of in this one were the sex scenes few though they were
Who wouldn’t want to hear that from someone you love. Maizy is one lucky girl 😊
Denver was Maizy's watchdog. After reading the first five books in the series, I’ve never thought or felt Denver treated her differently. He was protective of her and treated her as a friend from the start. Denver is a kid at heart, they like and enjoyed the same thing.s So I’m really happy that they get to be together.
I was really hoping that this would be more intense as it was repeatedly stated from all the books that Denver’s wolf was unpredictable and loco. Then there’s Maizy’s birthmark, I was also expecting that this will provide more intensity and suspense because of its secrecy. There were so many things going on, there were some scenes that I felt unfinished. (I’m still hoping it’ll work out on the next book).
And let’s not forget Spartacus, that’s one weird cat 😂
Favorite Quote/Line:
“Look here, Peanut. All that bullshit about you moving on was so I wouldn’t have to worry about you locking yourself in a room for the rest of your life, thinking I was the best you could do. It’s pretty obvious I don’t stack up to guys like Prince, but I am devoted to you, protective of you, fascinated by you, and deeply, deeply in love with you.”
I am a die-hard Logan groupie (if you don't know who Logan is, go read Dark's Mageri series RIGHT NOW) but Dannika Dark's latest novel in the Seven series blew my socks (and possibly my panties) off! I thought the love scene in Four Days (sorry - that's not out yet either) was hot. Two Minutes - *fans self*
Cannot wait until the fully edited, published version comes out and Dark fans - you will LOVE this latest addition to the Seven Series.
I'm not sure how I feel about this. Pretty much all of my feelings of "no this is not okay" are immediately contradicted by being okay with a similar situation in an earlier book in the series.
So this book is Denny & Maizy's book. Maizy started this series as a seven year old little girl and Denny became her "watchdog" which is like the equivalent of a super focused over protective big brother. Except he's a shifter and ages super slow so even though he looks mid-late 20s he's actually closer to like 50?
Well, this book moves us pretty swiftly along the timeline of the Weston Pack. Maizy is now 22 and returning from college abroad. It's been years since she has seen watchdog Denny and when they meet face-to-face again things have certainly changed.
So my issues: He is now basically at retirement age and she just finished undergrad, so I mean that's one hell of an age gap. He was her protector while she was growing up and like a brother to her but now they want to make sweet sweet love to one another. Sorry, but that's creepy.
Now here's why I don't have a leg to stand on with my issues: Reno is probably more than 3x April's age and I didn't have an issue with their story in book two. Lexie always looked at her big brother's best friend like another brother. That was Austin and I LOVE them together.
So why am I having such a hard time with this! I genuinely don't know. Their story was cute and well written, they are well matched characters, but I can't let go of my unease with this.
I think it's best if I don't give a star rating to this one and just stick with my very mixed and confused feelings in this review.
"Like the sands of the hour glass" . . . to quote a famous daytime soap opera, time is running out for Maizy. The choices she must make are life changing, but that has even more significance for this young woman because of her lineage. Time is the focus of the SEVEN Series by Dannika Dark. She has cleverly created another glimpse into the Breed World, full of generously developed characters, that make you laugh, cry and yearn to know what choices they make. Take it from Maizy's wise packmate Ivy, we are all connect to everything around us; the choices we make affect everyone; make your choices wisely. Make the choice to read TWO MINUTES, give yourself the gift of the Breed World Dark creates in the SEVEN series. Time is a gift;time to read. -g Seven Years
I swear these books are getting better each time. It was amazing getting to see Maizy and Denver finally together because let's face it, it was destined to happen. I love that we get to see all of our favorites in each book so I don't have to mourn them really. I'm so eager for the last installment but dreading it all the same I'm not ready for this ride to end its been quite the journey and I'll always have a reread with this series. 5+ stars yet again.
4.5 "More Than Human" Stars for the story and 5 Stars for Nicole Poole's narration!
Fans of the Seven Series have undoubtedly been waiting on pins and needles for Denver's story. Well we finally get to see if there is more to his relationship with Maizy. As Maizy's childhood watchdog (a supernatural being who becomes a protector to a human child), we frequently got to see the unique bond between Denver and Maizy; and Denver's extreme protective nature towards her. In this sixth installation of the Seven Series, we finally get to see what happens when a grown-up Maizy no longer needs a watchdog.
As you can imagine, and as is typical with most paranormal/urban fantasy romance series, Two Minutes is best enjoyed after having experienced the prior five books. Particularly as it relates to Denver and Maizy, who have figured prominently in the background stories of all the prior books in the series, it would be difficult to fully understand the background of their story without reading or listening to this series in chronological order. All that said, given the time difference in Two Minutes versus the prior books, the adult relationship between these two characters is entirely contained in this book, and therefore the romance/love story of this book can be read as a stand-alone. Of course, there is also an intricate PNR/UF arc that has been built over the prior books, including at least one crucial secondary character, that you will also have a limited view of, if you only read or listen to this book.
Maizy has just returned from England where, at the insistence of her family she has spent the last few years acclimating to living with solely humans, after having been raised her entire childhood in the Weston Wolf Pack. During these years away she has been particularly estranged from Denver, though not for her lack of trying. Yet, he always seemed to be mysteriously absent when she called back home or even on the occasion when the Pack came out to visit her while away. Maizy misses her special relationship with Denver and now that she is back home, she is determined to reestablish that connection again.
Denver, in turn, has purposefully been evading Maizy. Her departure brought to the forefront her mortal nature, and he knows that eventually he will lose her too and has determined that it is better to distance himself now. However, Maizy, is not the same girl who left the Weston Pack all those years ago, and his mistaking her for his blind date upon her return only begins to spark the tip of the iceberg as to his attraction to this grown-up version of the girl he has always vowed to protect.
Maizy, however, has also caught the eye of another, much more powerful and rich suitor, and he is determined to make Maizy his mate for reasons that most of the Weston Pack is unaware of. Who will Maizy ultimately align her future with? Will she even have a choice?
Nicole Poole, as always, renders a fabulous performance in Two Minutes. Evidencing incredible consistency in her voicing of the various characters, Ms. Poole once again brings together this eclectic cast of shifters and, in a few cases, the humans they love.
Showing incredible depth, Ms. Poole also manages to keep the same general intonation she has always used for Maizy's childhood voice but convincingly adds some depth and maturity to portray what a grown-up version of Maizy should sound like.
In addition to her great range with being able to bring together personality specific voices for each member of the large Seven Series cast, Ms. Poole also does a fantastic job of timing her delivery so as to draw the maximum effect from her listeners. From the fast paced, action-filled scenes, to the slower more emotional ones, you can always count on Ms. Poole to bring this story to life in a dynamic, true to the script way.
All in all, Two Minutes is another superb addition to the Seven Series. Without a doubt this series has become one of my favorite PNR/UF audiobook series of all time!

(RabidReads.com)Where to begin.. I guess the fairy tale would be a good place. There once was a little human girl named Maizy who believed in fairy tales, but most of all she believed in her protector, or as they call it in the wolf shifter world-her watchdog. No one told Denver that he had to protect her, he just always did. He was her best friend until the day her mother sent her off to boarding school for high school, and from there, on to college in Europe. Maizy wrote him all the time, but never received letters back. Denver never visited with the rest of the pack and Maizy began to feel lost without her best friend, watchdog, and ultimately her love. So she goes home to Texas-for good. This is the story of what happens when Maizy get home.
When Maizy was young and moved with her mother in with the Weston Pack, life changed for her forever. Her sister Lexie is mated to the packmaster, Austin, and the pack is filled with Austin’s other shifter brothers, along with a couple of others not related. But for Maizy, Denver was always it for her, and vice versa for him-admittedly though back then, he was more her big brother than anything else. But now things have changed. Maizy doesn’t understand this new Denver, and he isn’t really saying much either. Now twenty three, Maizy has seen the world, and found it lacking due to her Denny being missing. For Denver’s part, he thinks he isn’t good enough for Maizy, knows she is human, and he can’t stand the thought of ever losing her to death-way before it would be his turn to die. But he also doesn’t know that Maizy has a secret.
Dannika Dark. What can I say? She’s just the best at what she does. And that’s being able to write such an awesome book that the reader is immediately drawn into, ultimately loving all the characters, the humor, the relationships between all the pack members, and of course the romance. And wow can Dannika write a wonderful romance. Now six books in, the series hasn’t let me down once. Each books is full of romance, humor, and usually enough action to suit anyone’s tastes. She is adept at writing details in one book, for example, only to have it come up as important several books in. This book packed a wallop in that respect. Or by bringing some beloved characters from her previous Mageri series into one of these books without ever hinting about it. When a writer can make me have cold chills and a smile on my face at the end of a book, you know she is a wonderful author. And of course one of my all time favorites.
The characters, the premise, the pacing, and of course the writing, makes this a five star read for me. If I could, I would rate it even higher. This was the book that all Dannika’s fans were waiting for, Maizy and Denver’s book, and boy did she ever deliver-in spades!
You don’t have to read them in order because they all feature a different couple, however with this being Maizy and Denny’s story, I would suggest you start at the beginning with Seven Years, because really that’s where their story starts.
Highly recommended to all adult paranormal romance fans!
Maizy is finally grown and her wolf protector Denver has noticed. Those feelings of protection have turned more primal, stronger. As Maizy decides on her future, Denver must reconcile the conflicting emotions of protection, abandonment and love.
I absolutely loved Two Minutes. Dannika Dark is a master at weaving the perfect urban fantasy storyline.
With officially One Second left to go in the Seven Series, I have to say I'm quite conflicted myself. I it will be a sad day to see these character's stories end but I can't wait to see how Dark wraps this all up.
My Rating: 5 Stars

Ugh! I've been waiting for Denny, Prince, and Maizy's story. The series has been building up this potential love triangle; teasing me with every book. And what do I get? Probably the weakest book in the series. The story was boring and I didn't really care for Denny, Prince, or Maizy when they were given more airtime. Denny and Maizy seemed liked overgrown children and don't even get me started on Prince. If I could, I would demand a rewrite because I really think this could have a great story.
If you have followed my reviews for this series' I'm pretty sure I mentioned Denver and Maizy in EVERY one of them. You have no idea how excited I am for this!!!!
I think I might be in Looove with D.D's characters and novels. I Just pre-ordered Two Minutes for iBooks, but will most likely buy the kindle version as well, the screen is much bigger, but I want it the moment it's released.
I love Dannika Dark's work! Each book let's me wanting more. Her breed world is my addiction. Loved the Margerie series but the Weston Pack are truly amazing. I laughed, cried and fell in love with this story. Can't wait for one second
Holy freaking Hell!!! Ok...where do I begin------- Maizy. She is all grown up and lost in the world. I completely fell in love with her as a child and now that she is an adult, she amazes me. She felt out of place in the human world and out of place in the shifter world. So where does she go from here? Home.
Denny is still the same loveable Denny who cracks jokes and loves junk food. But when a mysterious blonde shows up at the door, he thinks she is someone else when in fact it's his Maizy! See by this point I'm ready to reach into my Kindle and slap Denny upside the head for that one. Read Two Minutes and you'll find out why.
Although the main story is about Denny, Maizy, and a third party that shall remain nameless, side stories take place and I cried...yes; I cried dammit!
Out of all of the Seven Novels Ms. Dannika has written, I would have to say that Two Minutes definitely at this point takes the cake. It is so full of emotion and moments of disbelief that it was hard for me to finish. Not that it was a bad thing, but because I didn't want it to end. There is only 1 novel left in this series (I believe) and I am going to try and wait for it as patiently as possible.
Five Caffeinated Reasons to grab your headphones and listen to Two Minutes
Maizy is human but is in fact unique. She was brought into the pack at the beginning of this series and has been guarded like a princess. While Maizy treats the pack as a family, Denver has always been her best friend and watchdog. The love she has for Denver has matured into something more. For Denver, she is the one he cannot have. TWO MINUTES takes place years after the last novel, so it was interesting to get news on characters and the pack. Maizy has just returned from school abroad and is determined to connect with Denver. She is also seeking answers to what she is. For those who follow the story, we all know what makes Maizy unique, and in TWO MINUTES we get the full story.
The Seven stories all work as standalone, although I do not recommend it since the pack, relationships and characters are threaded throughout. Dark does clarify things for a newbie, and each book contains a suspenseful thread balanced by humor and occasional snark. For me, it is the characters within the pack from their trials to banter that make the series.
With TWO MINUTES the relationship between Denver and Maizy is enhanced by the former books and scenes we witnessed. Dark delivered all the feels as Denver struggled wth his emotions. There is another interested party in Maizy, and he just made my skin crawl. I found him to be arrogant. I still crack up when I think about how things panned out, particularly with the arrogant ass. LOL Denver doesn't know about Maizy's uniqueness, and this caused some complications. We also learn a great deal about Denver's past, his heartache, and why falling for a human scares him.
The suspenseful thread involves tempers and Breed law. Both created havoc for the Weston pack. It also interfered with the developing relationship between Denver and Maisy. I went through a mix of emotions from full on anger to desperation. I absolutely loved how Dark weaved an event from book one into TWO MINUTES.
Why listen? Nichole Poole narrates and has found herself a firm slot on my favorite narrator list. From her male voices to her tone she enhances each tale. I tend to prefer male narrators, and I am happy to have discovered Poole. This review was originally posted at Caffeinated Book Reviewer
This was probably my least favorite, so far, in this series.
I really had a hard time with wrapping my mind around a romantic relationship between Denny and Maizy. It just kind of squicked me out because I couldn't help thinking about him being her "watchdog"/babysitter when she was only 5 or 6. I mean I can understand a little girl that age or older having a crush on her babysitter, but for him to develop feelings for her after she's grown after having babysat her as a CHILD totally turned me off. Ummm, no, just no.
Then there was the whole thing with Prince. Who, I might add, I absolutely LOVED in previous books. This one, not so much. And that just made me sad. He came across as an arrogant, pretentious all around dick who was just waiting on "little" Maizy to grow up before he pounced!! WTH??!! Sad, just sad. (I still love you Prince, and I'm gonna try really hard to forget/pretend that this ever happened.)
BOOK REVIEW TITLE: Two Minutes - Book #6, “Seven” Series (Cole family of wolf-human shifters et al). This is Denver’s story. AUTHOR: Dannika Dark (www.DannikaDark.net;www.twitter.com/DannikaDark) PUBLISHED: August, 2015 FORMAT: audiobook via Audible.com (Nov., 2015) NARRATOR: Nicole Poole (www.twitter.com/WhereIsNicole). My overall GoodReads rating (0/5 scale): 5 “Peanut is all grown up” stars. I’d also rate the narrator FIVE stars. Keywords/genre: fiction, adult fiction, fantasy, paranormal, fantasy adventure, shape-shifter, mystery, romance, some violence, swearing at times, steamy sex.
I found the whole plot to be very interesting, but one thing I really wished to see was more of Maizy and Denver as a couple. I feel that they didn't get TOGETHER until the end of the book, and that did kind of bum me out.
**super short review, but can't really think of what to write at this moment
I wish that I could give this book more then 5 stars. I've been dying for Denny and Maizy since I started this series. I absolutely loved this book. Of course I knew I would lol! I love this series and I don't know what I'm going to do when it ends! I hate that it's over. I wanted it to last forever! #TeamDenny #LoyalToTheWestonPack all the way! Great Job Dannika Dark! Keep them coming!
Denver and Mazie, I guess they were always destined to be together. Loved the wise cracking humor in this books. Made me laugh out loud. I love books like that.
DROP EVERYTHING AND READ THIS NOW!!! IT'S DENNY AND MAIZY'S STORY PEOPLE!!!
I can't even begin to tell you how much I was looking forward to this book (if you couldn't tell by the all caps and exclamation points). And let me tell you, it was everything I could have asked for and more. This series gets better and better with every book. Dannika Dark knows exactly how to tug at my heartstrings, and make me fall in love even more with every single character she writes. Her writing is phenomenal and every sentence is a thing of beauty. She sweeps you away into the Shifter world, and every time you pick up a novel in her series', it feels like coming home. You want to stay in the world she has created and never leave.
“Every person you meet in your life is your destiny. We alter the course of every life we touch, whether we realize it or not.”
Obviously, this is Maizy and Denver's story. However, a third party is also involved, and gets in the way of their budding relationship. I'm not going to spoil anything, but it is a character we have encountered previously in the story, and has been a person Maizy interacted with in the past. Maizy has returned home, all grown up (she's 23...time sure does fly in the book world doesn't it?), and is feeling like an outsider with the Weston pack. She doesn't quite know where she fits anymore as she doesn't particularly feel at home in either the Shifter world or the human world. I loved her as the main lead. She had me cracking up with her fiery spirit and I loved how she handled herself in the many challenging situations she was faced with. Denver is lovable as ever and is his usual wise-cracking self. He left me laughing so hard, and I loved reading from his POV. It gave us an insight into his character that we never saw before. There is much more to the goofy, watchdog then we know, and I loved seeing that vulnerability he had toward Maizy.
“Loving you is what I do best.”
What can I say, Dannika Dark knows how to write a good romance, and this one sweeps you off your feet. This has been a long time coming for readers and Denver and Maizy alike. There is just enough action to add another interesting element to the story, and it is perfectly balanced with the romance. There was also the twist of Maizy's secret, which will make many readers happy. All of our favorite characters are back and are amazing as ever. Six book in and Dannika Dark has not let me down. She continuously delivers hit after hit, and I wish there wasn't just one more book in this series. I know that the finale will be epic and I can't wait to devour that book in one sitting too! I'll just be waiting here...very, very patiently until it's released.
Maizy and Denny’s story has been brewing from the beginning of the Seven series. It had to build over time since Maizy was a little girl when she met Denny and he was her watch dog. But with time apart to give Maizy time to grew up into a young woman was the key to making their attraction into something sweet and sexy instead of creepy and icky.
Denny is the happy-go-lucky wolf in the Westin pack. He doesn’t take life serious and always has a joke on hand. Maizy is the pack’s little princess but not in the spoiled why. She’s like a sister or daughter to many of them. She was the human girl who had the pack wrapped around her finger.
11918943_893366924080456_4963893101336779126_o from Dannika Dark’s Facebook Page But Maizy never saw Denny as a brother or father figure, he was her best friend. And when she moved away to go to school and then later college in the human world they grew apart. Denny stopped writing her back and would never come with the rest of the pack to visit her. Maizy’s heart was broken. She couldn’t understand why Denny had vanished from her life. She thought that him being her watch dog was just a job to him.
Denny felt like one of Maizy’s old dolls left in a box and forgotten after she moved out to live in the human world. Since humans age and die he put some distance between him and Maizy. He couldn’t bare the thought of watching her grow old and die. Or move on with a human male.
I felt all kinds of feelings from the moment I started listening to the end. Denny and Maizy’s romance was a heartbreaker, sweet and lusty. And Nicole Poole’s narration made all those emotions intense with her perfect narration of the story. I will have to say that I missed Poole’s voice for young Maizy. I loved hearing her voice little Maizy and the way she said Denny as a little girl was so endearing. But Poole did a great job with adult Maizy’s voice. There was little hints at the younger voice but much like the character, Maizy was a different woman when she returned to the Pack.
I can’t wait to listen to more in the series. Next we get a Novella about Prince. Which will be a little different since Prince is not part of the Weston Pack but after his part in Two Minutes he needs his HEA told. Then I’m hoping that One Second will be Will and Travis’ story. Those two have to get together!
While you could read Two Mintues as a stand alone, I feel like you would miss out on a lot of Maizy and Denny’s history if you didn’t start with book 1, Seven Years. Their story is richer if you experience them as they grow together and Maizy ages.
* I was provided an eARC of this novel from the author in exchange of an honest review.
This was the story I was waiting for ever since I read Book #1 in this series! I was so excited when it didn't let me down. My expectations for this novel were sky high and what got delivered was up to par. So for that Mrs. Dark I thank you eternally!
Denver (AKA Denny) did have a past. I was expecting it to go dark like Reno's story, but it didn't. I didn't really mind it in the least, I'm just glad to finally know what made his wolf so aggressive. I didn't like the way he treated Maizy at first and did declare myself Team Prince for a few chapters. I loved how he never stopped being her guard dog. Even after he made a point to distance himself from her, deep down he never stopped caring.
Maizy is all grown up and just got back to town. She's sweet, caring and loves cut off jean shorts. I liked her as a whole, but I had a problem with all her impulsive decisions. I read 70% of this book at night in one sitting so I can't say how old she turns out to be, but I'm guessing at least 20. She should have had more of a grip on her actions.
I had a problem with Prince's actions by the end of this novel. I've liked him over the last few novels, but the way he came off to Maizy as a whole was creepy. I don't know how to even describe how I felt while reading the dialogue. He came off so cold hearted that I actually felt sorry for him in a sense, but he did save that day so he isn't a complete lost cause.
As this series is almost coming to an end and almost everyone I care about is already paired up. I'd like for William to get his happily ever after next time. Heck maybe I'd even read Prince's story, where I hope he discovers he actually cares about love and finds out he can't live without it.
My Favorite Quotes:
"Figure out what you want while you're still young - before it's too late and you live your life in a pattern of rinse and repeat."
"[...] but that kind of shit seeps in real deep. There's no prince, there's no fairy tale, there's no perfect man who will sweep you off your feet and give you a happily ever after. There's just a guy who's good enough."
"Love is more than making sure I'll have a place to live or the finest silks. Love is doing things without being asked. Will you sit on the steps at sunset and talk to me? Will you make me laugh? Will you read to me when I'm not feeling well? will you hold my hand and tell me secrets?"
