Pretty cute story but I honestly don't really like how mature these girls are portrayed in this art style. They're in six grade and are shown wearing dresses that go down to their thighs not even, it's a little weird and a little bit creepy imo. The writing isn't bad for a celebrity book which usually always get a bad rep, my only problem with the plot is how unrealistical the whole soy sauce sence is. who the heck just keeps a bottle of soy sauce in their bag??

This one is about Binah's boy trouble, her not feeling special, her feeling that being nice is boring and that was not how the game of life is played. The interesting bit is she is the only roses whose mother has passed away when she was really young and she has no mother to turn to when it comes to girl problem. In the end, she has the support of her BFE and her caring teacher who has a really weird name - Miss Flutternutter. I wonder why Lizzie Love is mentioned and then the author just forgot about her.

In her chapter books for young readers, Madonna does a great job teaching manners, friendship, and simple truths.

This book looks in on Binah’s character; she is considered to be the “good girl,” but when the boy she likes seems to like another, Binah tries to become someone she is not. The Roses help convince her that she should be herself and others will like her even better.

I guess this Binah told us to 'be yourself, don't be afraid' in this book! I wanna read MORE AND MORE of english roses series(but it's 12:30am....;( awww) Again I love BFF stories!!
