I really liked this little book. Now granted I'm a pretty hardcore Narnia fans but I loved reading some of my favorite lines and seeing them all in one book.

A lovely compendium of some classic quotations from the Narnia books. Makes me want to start rereading the series all over again! My only complaint is that it's far too short.

One or two standout lines that would qualify as "words of wisdom", but largely a very odd selection of quotes that didn't seem particularly well suited for a book predicated on 'pearls of wisdom'. It's been years since I've read most of the books, so it was interesting to see the picks from The Magician's Nephew and The Last Battle. I'd say a startling amount of them didn't feature any of the Pevensie children (I think maybe 4 of them, 2 that were largely Lucy-centric and the classic Prof/older kids about Lucy not being mad).

Worth a skim if you're looking for tidbits from little-read books from the series, but I'd get it from the library. Not worth purchasing unless you're a die-hard fan or a particular fan of the artist.

"I’m going to live as like a Narnian as I can even if there isn’t any Narnia.”

The Chronicles of Narnia is a beloved series read by countless children... here some wonderful quotes are gathered from the series, alongside the striking artwork.

I find myself remembering that while the series may have been written for children, it is filled with heart, depth, and thought, as these quotes show.

This is a wonderful selection of passages, many of which are thought provoking -- and I find myself now wanting to make time to re-read the series.

A quick, short little book that highlights quotes or a couple of brief sentences from the Narnia series. If Narnia is endeared to you, you'll really like this. The illustrations are from the original illustrator, Pauline Baynes, which is a plus.

A good collection of quotes, but I don’t think these are the most powerful from the collection, but it is an enjoyable glance through the world for those who are familiar

Lovely little book with beautiful illustrations. Some of the quotes seem a little strained, but the illustrations make up for them.

Loved re-reading this small book of quotes from the Narnia books. It’s a joy to pick up and peruse with just a little time. It contains many of the favorite lines I remembered from the books.

Best quotes from C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia (7 magical books) with illustrations by Pauline Baynes...some of the categories for the quotes include: simple pleasures, honor, friendship, wisdom, truth, wisdom, common sense, lessons learned, fortitude, beauty, end and beginning...my favorite is the fortitude quote attributed to Reepiceep in the voyage of the Dawn Treader on fortitude, it begins, "My own plans are made. While I can, I sail east in the Dawn Treader. When she fails me, I..."

made me cry...

I have so many beautiful memories of my mothers reading these books to me. Now I read them to my son but they never fail to make me think of her and miss her.
