Love the color of these books and the pictures are great! I can see why kids love these books! Thanks to my kids that intoduced me to this series. Now I can share them with my little grandson that is just begining to read!
Great kids book. A little too much visual stimulation for my ADD, nevertheless a great for older kids. This is just one of a nearly never-ending series of 'You wouldn't wanna be....'
Great facts paired with great illustrations make this book a fun way to learn about mining in England long ago. And the title is correct - you wouldn't want to be a miner back then!
One of the less successful books in the series. A bit inconsistent - the miners are forced back to work after a strike by lack of money but at the same time they've won a pay rise!
