The Alion King is book six in the Paranormal Dating Agency by Milly Taiden. This series just keeps getting better and better. The Alion King is a quick, sexy, and funny romance.
I loved The Alion King. MTaiden has done it again taking us to a whole new planet/world full of amazing interesting shifters. I thoroughly enjoy this new world with it’s vibrant colors and dirty talking shifters.
Gerri has a gift at finding mates for stubborn hard headed shifters. Bella, human and a perfectionist. She was awesome. I like how MTaiden writes her curvy women with the strength to accept themselves. It always gives me a warm feeling and makes me feel empowered. The Lion King, Alyx, (Alion) is sexy-as-sin. I love the shifters in this series. How they love their women so deeply and how protective they are of there mates. I can’t forget the sex, which when it comes to MTaiden is always hot and steamy.
The Alion King is another exceptional read in the Paranormal Dating Agency. These books are perfect for a nice quick and steamy read. They always hit the spot and I am looking forward to more, especially in this new breathtaking shifter world.

DNF at 66% My "review" is rather spoilery so I've hidden it behind a tag.
This is the second novella I've read by this author and I have to come to the conclusion she's just not for me. I find her plots ludicrous and the way the romances are set up come across as completely implausible. My biggest problem though is how I dislike constantly being told her "heroines" are smart, confident, sassy women and yet seeing very little of that come out in the writing (the "sass" in this novel comes across more as defensive rudeness and bravado to me). I also disliked how the main character was essentially rewarded with trusted information and a trip to another world for blatantly ignoring instructions, committing an act of blinding stupidity, then trying to lie about it to cover her arse.

-Kindle Unlimited, so yay for my wallet.
-Serves my shifter/BBW romance fix, because it seriously is like my crack, I just can’t stay away.
-The message is good, and I love the overall moral of loving yourself. Plus I have to give props for the fact that the heroines aren’t all of the Caucasian persuasion. There’s just not enough diversity in romance.
-The story needs a little more work because it’s still drawn in broad strokes. The concept is good, but depth would take Ms. Taiden’s writing to another level.
-I must say I’m disappointed in the cover. The description of the Alyx and Bella make it clear he’s blondish, lion like and she has “dark chocolate skin” and curly hair. For a series (and an author) that focuses on diverse, plus sized women, it seems there are rarely, if ever, any on the covers. I would have liked to see the cover be a little more accurate, or barring that, simply an abstract image.

I mean, look at it:
It's probably one of the worst covers I've ever seen.
But did I listen to my instincts ? Did I listen to the little voice in my head saying, Run, Lea, run ! You're gonna get burned !
No. No, I did not.
Well, I should have.
You see, I like pretty things. I find it hard to watch a movie if the actors are not at least passably pretty. I stop the movie if someone wears, say, polka dots or pink and green. My poor eyes just can't take it.
I'm aware of the fact that this makes me a shallow bitch, thank you very much. No need to point it out.
So, upon seeing the cover, I fought all instincts and decided to read the book. Fortunately, in a rare moment of lucidity, I decided to read the sample first.
Boy, am I glad I did.
Dodged a bullet on that one.
You're probably wondering why, exactly, I've been telling you all this. Well, without furter ado, let me give you... The fourth sentence of this book:

It seemed her inability to stop working on something until she felt it was perfect annoyed some of her previous bosses.

I didn't make it further than this. Fastest DNF ever. What an accomplishment.
How this book managed to get an average rating of 4,37 is beyond me.

Just when you thought you knew what to expect from the Paranormal Dating Agency, Milly Taiden changes the game and shifts the entire series into a who different direction. Sure, there are still sexy alpha men in need of mates and curvy girls who meet those needs. But Taiden kicks the series up a notch by taking PDA out of this world. No...seriously. Like waaaaay OUT of this world to a planet of shifters.
Geri Wilder's special brand of matchmaking goes intergalactic and her first task is matching the King, Alyx, with his mate and she juuuuuust so happens to have the perfect mate in mind. Her new assistant Bella is just what the doctor...errr...king...ordered.
I really enjoyed the new direction of the series with this story and will love to see what Taiden does next although she leaves us with a teaser at the end just who will be matched up next.

Love this series and now there is something intriguing added that had me loving this book and excited about the books that will come next. This book surprised me a few times and the interactions were really interesting and some parts had me laughing.

Becca is a natural organizer and a BBW. She gets a job working for Gerri, a matchmaker who pairs up BBW with shifters. Since Becca hasn't had much luck finding a man that appreciate her curves, she's considering asking Gerri to pair her up as well.
Alyx is the King of Aurora, the planet of shifters. Alyx is a great King but he hasn't had much luck finding his mate and if he doesn't find one soon he'll lose the ability to breed heirs. He previously told Gerri he didn't need help and now must ask for the help he scoffed at before.
Bella just started work for Gerri. She inadvertently connects a call from Arora, asking Gerri to come to help the King to find his mate. Gerri decides to go help Alyx find his mate and tells Bella she can come along. Bella is all for the trip she thought it'll be a fun adventure. Lo and Behold she has no idea that she'll end up being the match for Alyx.

Oh snap, we are in a different world!! Just when I thought Milly was only going to give me a new animal, she goes and provides a little more history about Gerri and takes me to a new world! Yes, yes, YES!! I loved these new aspects and I can't wait to see all the new possibilities. This stubborn King Alyx doesn't want any of the women he has met in the past nor does he want to be told who he should take as a mate. Isabella is Gerri's new assistant that goes along to meet with this stubborn king.

RAWR! This series just keeps getting better and better! Milly Taiden just brought this series to a whole new level.. and world! This was a very feisty and grab a cold shower sexy read!
Holy dirty talking lion Alyx! He is one sexy-as-sin shifter! He was very sweet and I loved him all growly. Bella is pretty awesome too! Full of sass and fire. I love that she holds her own against Alyx "Trey" alphaness. They make a smoking hot couple!

WOW I love this book series. Milly Taiden has took me to a whole new adventure and world with her Alion King. With out a doubt no one write write sex like the Smut Queen. I am always ready for the next book as soon as I read the new one. Opening up a whole world of shifters and giving them a background that I found a neat idea. Isabella and Alyx have a great non stop story and look forward to many more.

Isabella has watch Ms. Wilder match up her 2 best friends and now working for the the Paranormal Dating Agency as her assistance takes her on a adventure she would have never believed. Who would have thought that shifter's had their own planet and she would be going to help the match maker extraordinaire. She could probably never in here wildest dreams there are Aliens but a A lion alien just may be to much...
Alyx Treyvaal the High Council demanding he get a mate has forced him into asking for help from the one woman he has told for years he doesnt need it. Now he has no choice tired of meeting woman that his lion wants nothing to do with his best friend sends out the call. Mrs Wilder can you help the King find his Queen? Or should he come to Earth and look for his self?
How can Mrs Wilder say no but she can make the stubborn man wait and worry.
Can Bella find a place she belongs?
Or will Alyx mess it all up in his attempt to make her see more than the King?
She gulped, forgetting what she was going to say momentarily when her gaze collided with a giant. Holy s***. It was Bigfoot! And Bigfoot was sexy as hell. Weren’t giants supposed to be ugly? She could tell the man was so tall she’d need a ladder to get up close and personal with his face.

I am not sure how I feel about this turn of events. This went from a shifter dating agency series to something with a more sci-fi alien angle. I am still processing that change. It seems an odd jump, with the exception of Gerri, it is different kind of premise. I will have to keep moving forward with the series to see if I like the change. Right now, it is a bit jarring to switch gears.
I can tell you that the girl hasn’t changed, in tried and true Milly fashion she is a curvy gal with lots of sass. Do not get me wrong, I like that type of gal, in fact they are my favorite heroines, the issues is they all feel the same in this series. I would just like a little change up other than a new name and job.
Bella and Alyx steam things up right away, boy howdy do they bring the steam!! Ya gotta love a shifter read cause they get to the smexy quicker, it is the whole mate angle. This is a scorcher with detail a plenty!! Get the ice cream, cold shower and snuggle buddy ready!!
I listened to the audiobook, Lauren Sweet is once again the narrator. I have said I the past how much I enjoy her read and swift pace. She never disappoints! I barely have to speed up the read because is pace is so brisk.
This new work holds much promise, and I already see the next two books heroes. It will be interesting to see how this new turn plays out in the series.

Just when you think the shifters can't get any hotter Milly takes us to a whole other planet full of pure breed shifters... Alyx is a King who needs a mate and is not having any success finding one on his own..After being rude to Gerri in the past when she offered to help help him, he must now put his pride aside and ask her for help which he knows she will not let him forget easily... Gerri finally has gotten herself an assistant to help her stay organized and keep up with how busy her dating agency is getting... Bella is human and is both nervous and excited about her new position as Gerri's assistant especially when in her first week she finds out they are going to another planet to work which is beyond anything she could have imagined when she took this job... Bella gets an experience she will never forget and may change her life forever. ..

My third in the series (Didn't read it in order). Although I've read some of her other books and liked them this series is def not for me.

This is the 6 book in the series. I started with book one and have worked my way up. Oh, don’t worry this book works fine as a standalone, but I have not wanted to miss a thing. Previous characters from the previous book will be mention but it will not cause you to be lost if you have not read the previous books.
I used the whispersync with this story. I enjoy the narrator I think she is a perfect pick for this series.
Isabella aka Bella is super funny. I just loved her. She has been hired as Gerri Wilder’s assistant. I loved when she tried to hide the talking tablet. Super funny.
Bella will get an opportunity of a life time. How super exciting to get the opportunity to travel to another planet. It had to be slightly scary as well not knowing what to expect.
Alyx Treyvaal was a lion shifter and he was King. Alyx was over confident and very prideful. He thought he could do things on his own. It was almost funny that he had to have his right hand man to contact Gerri Wilder. That had to really hurt Alyx’s pride.
I love the game Alyx played when he first met Bella. He saw her true beauty. The thing I love about Bella is that even though she was outspoken she has a good heart.
Oh I hated Nadeeya. She was Alyx cousin. She was self centered, hateful, power hungry, and pure evil (at least in my eyes). She will go to great lengths to get her cousin and to keep Bella from getting in the way. Yeah she was truly something.
There are a few surprises along the way and Alyx will learn a few lessons as well. There is a great love that will bloom and I have to tell you the journey is amazing.

Milly Taiden is one of those authors that write books that make you laugh and sigh in happiness. I absolutely adore the Paranormal Dating series. This couple was great and I look forward to the next in the series.

Shazam! Milly Taiden has dazzled us yet again with another wonderful addition to her Paranormal Dating Agency Series! And in this release, she has added a delightful new twist to her already successful series. The Alion King is certainly the most imaginative offering to date with the addition of alien shifters to the mix and I love it! As always, the story is exciting, fast-paced, fun-filled, humorous, romantic, alluring, exceptionally well written and most certainly entertaining. The characters are captivating, engaging, sexy and quite simply, out of this world - literally! Taiden works her magic by expertly combining these elements into a paranormal/science fiction tale filled to the brim with adventure, humor and romance.
Isabella Barca is big, bold and beautiful - a woman with luscious curves and a beautiful heart. The only thing missing in her life is a man to love her body as much as she does. This was a very good story. I liked Bella and Alyx and enjoyed the story.
Becca is a natural organizer and a BBW. She gets a job working for Gerri, a matchmaker who pairs up BBW with shifters. Since Becca hasn't had much luck finding a man that appreciate her curves, she's considering asking Gerri to pair her up as well.
Alyx is the King of Aurora, the planet of shifters (that the shifters on Earth originated from). Alyx is a great King but he hasn't had much luck finding his mate and if he doesn't find one soon he'll lose the ability to breed heirs. He previously told Gerri he didn't need help and now must ask for the help he scoffed at before.
When the story begins, Bella is just starting work for Gerri. She inadvertently connects a call from Arora, asking Gerri to come to help the King to find his mate. Gerri decides to go to help Alyx find his mate and tells Bella she can come along. Bella is all for the trip, thinking it'll be a fun adventure and has no idea that she'll end up being a match for Alyx. There's an immediate attraction on both sides and things go pretty quickly between them. There's a bit of drama and some things that need to be straightened out but overall it's a pretty quick road to their HEA.
I enjoyed this story very much. I liked Bella...she was nice but also had some strength and wasn't afraid to speak her mind. Alyx was a good hero. He was strong but didn't feel the need to boss Bella around in order to get his way. Overall I liked the characters and the story very much. I'd recommend this story (and the series). :D
* note - I listened to the audio version of this story. The narrator did a pretty good job but there were some editing glitches that caused a few repeats of words at times.

Sexy, witty and funny, this series just keeps getting better and better. Alyx is a lion shifter and King of the planet Aurora, he needs to find a mate, his Queen, before his birthday or a new king will take his place. He calls Gerri to help match him to his mate but has to apologize first since he told her he could find his own mate without help, which was an epic failure. Gerri and her new assistant, Bella, arrive to help the stubborn King find his Queen. Bella has curves in abundance and has learned to love herself and demands any man she is seeing to do the same. She goes with Gerri on what should be an awesome adventure to the shifter planet. She meets Alyx and is immediately captivated by him and visa versa. Alyx pretends to be a normal guy, not the King, so Bella can get to know him for himself and not rely on preconceived notions on royalty to color her thoughts about him. Their romance in Hot and Alyx goes from a completely stubborn 100% alpha male with no compromise to a sweet, super romantic alpha male while around Bella, but there is a threat to Bella in the castle, a woman who thinks she should be Queen and needs Bella out of the picture to do so. I love this series and can't wait for Bella's best friend Charlotte's story!! Keep them coming!

Overall: I really loved this book and the idea of an older shifter woman starting her own dating service and helping shifters and human alike to find their soulmates. There was just something magical about the story. My only con is that I wish the book was longer and focused a little less on sex. I think that if the author would've added an extra 50 to 100 pages, as readers we could have gotten to know the couple better. I also really love that the author celebrates larger woman and embraces their curves instead of wanting to hide them. One of my favorite parts of the story was when Gerri took Bella to a whole new world. I like the idea that shifters came from another planet and that they had a part in making a smarter human race. I also really liked that after they mated Bella woke up to hear Alyx purring. It was so damn adorable and I want a lion king myself.

Completely amazing, the story was shocking and very unexpected. It is sexy, funny and panty dripping. I have read a ton of her books and each one I have said oh that is my favorite but this one will knock your sexy zone in over drive. It grabbed you from the beginning and held on to you until the end. Earth Shattering can't even explain it. This book is a must and I mean a must have for any and all erotica readers. So grab that bottle of wine and sit down with this pure sexiness cause it is so hot you will need a paramedic to revive you cause it is that damn hot..So hold on cause this will get you going!

Wow! Milly Taiden has done it again! This woman just rolls out some great books!! I have never been disappointed by Ms. Taiden.
Ms. Taiden did step out of her box a tad bit on this one, but its only a little different.
I loved every bit of it, not too much suspense this time. Plenty of BBW lovin' from a big hunky shifter!

The heroine is nosy, can't keep secrets, and loves her body but doesn't believe she is beautiful. The hero barely has self control and goes to third base with her while she is drunk. There is some repetition that is annoying. The dirty talk actually felt overdone.

Milly Taiden somehow always manages to keep things fresh! Not only do we get a shifter story, but there's a twist. We now have alien shifters! The usual hot sex and laughs occur. Bella and Alyx were smoking. Great job!

a new twist on an old topic. freeking loved this book. the chemistry between the MC's is palpable. a short read well worth the price. This series just keeps getting better and better. Go forth and read.
