The exciting conclusion to Release
Fire rages through Davlova in the wake of a bloody revolution. The tyrannical upper class has been overthrown. In the midst of the chaos, Misha and Ayo escape on Miguel Donato's boat and flee across the sea to the distant city of Deliphine.
All his life, Misha has dreamed of leaving Davlova behind, but now the only thing he wants to do is g

Buddy read with Bree and Reflection, yay! Thanks, guys.

I wish more people would read this series, it's truly amazing! I wasn't sure if I would enjoy this book quite as much as the first one, seeing as (view spoiler) and I must be honest in that it took until about a quarter of the way through before I accepted that it was just going to be about Misha and Ayo now. However, they are such a super sweet couple and they work really well together, you can't but be happy for them. The story is even better than ever and i ...more

Reflection
My Love for Release was unbounded and I eagerly anticipated the next book in the series to unpack the nefarious deeds of the Dollshouse.

Sadly not even my highly anticipated buddy read with Bree and Emma was able to shake the apathy and passivity for me of virtually the first half of this book. It dragged slowly as the protagonists Mishha and Ayo journeyed to Deliphine. They were desperately uninspiring in their attempt to locate and infiltrate the Dollhouse.

I found it hard to imagine what Misha

Not as good as book 1, but still a satisfying conclusion to the story.

4 stars rounded up to 5, bc even though it didn't quite reach the intensity of the first book, I still spent the last 4 hours engrossed in reading this instead of doing homework. Ayo stole my heart in the first book and after all the torment he suffered through, it made me so happy to see him with Misha. Of course, things aren't easy for them at all. But it was such a treat to see their fragile relationship slowly blossom, and for Misha to have to learn to allow himself to love Ayo without fee ...more

The ending I wanted for our heroes

In some ways Ayo reminds me of Taylor from the first book of Heretic Doms Club, though far more innocent. He's childlike and remains that way through the whole book, and what he suffers because of his implant is chilling. The ending is perfect, a happy ending for Misha and Ayo, but also for Davlova itself. Misha is a reluctant hero, but his heroics are in small gestures here and there out of his hatred of the suffering he sees and how much he wants to help peopl

4.5 Stars

I thoroughly enjoyed Return! It was a wonderful end for Ayo and Mischa. It showed growth of the characters and love.

However, those readers looking for a continuation of the uber dark and violent themes of book one will be disappointed. While there are brutally violent acts recounted in graphic detail, none of it happens to our characters. That isn’t to say there aren’t dire situations Mischa and Ayo find themselves in; the world they live in is

After reading Release, I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I loooove Misha and Ayo so much. Their characters are just as deep and intriguing as this storyline. The thing I loved most was the theories and questions that kept going through my head. Is he? Will they? What? Whoooo? And Noooo!!! So if you love those types of reads, you should definitely check this out, but make sure to read Release first. ;)
