I'm disappointed completely by the Romanian version. Poor Romanian language... translator Cornelia Dumitru really "hates" usage of prepositions. A secret I would like to share with her: Romanian is not like English and vice-versa.

The book I read to research this post was Brilliant Communication Skills by Gill Hasson which is a very good book which I read at http://safaribooksonline.com

This book is only around 180 pages and is part of the Brilliant series which is a series of business and personal development books. Of course this book looks at communication skills and how what you say is often less important as a means of communication than the pitch of your voice and body language. Confidence is very important in establishing rapport even if you don't feel confident appearing to be confident is important. Another important thing especially in business communication is if you say you are going to do something, make sure you do it. Also try to be consistently honest and not make excuses if you aren't interested in something you are probably better off saying so. An important factor good communicators have in common is they are themselves with other people and often a bit of chit chat or a little joke helps break the ice. Of course don't use racy jokes especially in a business environment. There is a secition on email and something it suggests is don't write emails when you are angry or upset and complete the message and make sure you are happy with it before filling in the recipients details so you don't accidentally send it. Email isn't like a letter where it has to be crafted and you have to be careful even in normal communication that you don't write anything misleading. Don't forget emails can be used in court as evidence. I did enjoy reading this book and it's very interesting. I'd suggest if this is something you are interested in read a book on body language.
