MARINA. THAT DREADED NAME IS ALWAYS ON LISSIE’S MIND. BUT NOW THERE IS A NEW NAME THAT HAUNTS HER EVERY NIGHTMARE. After weeks of endless waiting and anxious worrying, Lissie is more than ready to save Patrick from his captors in Hyvar. The Lathmorians are ready to attack and this time she’s going with them. Slipping past the frontlines of battle, Lissie and Elik plunge into the depths of the castle toward the dungeon. What they never could have expected is the sight that meets their eyes. An empty cell throws Lissie into a panic and searching for answers she runs into a hostile Hyven soldier who forces her to face the Patrick is gone. Crushed beyond comprehension, Lissie leaves Hyvar empty handed but as she slowly begins to breathe life back into her lungs she realizes Morven is still playing a game. A game in which he is the master and she is the sole participant. Her every action sets forward a reaction he has predicted within the confines of his game. But what happens when she begins to make her own rules? In a new mindset, Lissie begins to make her own path and wonders just how fine she can walk the line of allegiance between the Lathmorians and the Hyven. When she left Hyvar to save herself, she left her heart behind with Patrick. Now that he’s gone he left her with no one to protect her…or did he? The epic tale that began with Lissie’s transformation in DROPLETS continues in another story unlike any other written before.

After wanting to be a mermaid for years and not sprouting fins, Meaghan decided it was time to write a novel about a girl who is transformed into a mermaid. DROPLETS is Meaghan's debut novel and will be followed by two sequels to complete the series.
In her spare time, Meaghan enjoys reading and brainstorming ideas for other novels. When she isn't sitting down at her computer or reading a book, she can be found spending time with her family or Netflix binging to catch up on her favorite shows (normally while snacking on a bowl of goldfish crackers).

Available on Kindle Unlimited. (The whole series is on there which is cool)
Great addition to the series but there are a handful of misspelled words and whatnot. The story flows nicely and it is an easy read. There is some great character progression in this story which is fun, plus I finally figured out how to pronounce Elik (I think it is alike Alec but I could be wrong) towards the end of the book - which is a typical move for me.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Zale! He is a great addition to the story and it just pushes the storyline along in a great way.

I enjoyed this book a lot--I think I got through it faster than the first one. I really liked the character of Zale. Not only was he an interesting plot twist, but he was what I'd maybe call a "tortured character." You could see him being clearly torn between the person he used to be, and the person Morven made him become. I don't want to say too much and give away any major plot twists, but I was intrigued by how Lissie had to deal with Patrick and Zale, as well as come to grips with her own burgeoning "mermaidhood," and the fact that her eighteenth birthday is approaching.
If I had any gripes about the book, it would be that I felt Lissie cried a little too much. I'd like to see her take a little more control over her circumstances. However, you can definitely see glimpses of backbone emerging, both with her learning to fight with her knife and standing up to Morven's henchmen at the end. I felt the end of the book left us with the promise that she will really come into her own in book three, and I'm excited to see how the author continues to strengthen and develop her character.
Book three can't come soon enough!

Wow. That is all I can say. I can't even put into words how amazing this book is. To think I thought this one couldn't hardly be better than the first, I was way wrong. Some how, this book was even better than the first. I read and finished this book on an eight hour car trip, if that tells you anything. I could barely lay the book down to eat lunch because of how intriguing the plot was. All the feels for this book. All of them.

The author amazed me yet again by her fantastic writing style. The way she described the scenery or the emotions that Lissie felt, you felt them right along with her. From the andreline she felt during a battle, the sadness she felt when reminded of Patrick, to the love she found she had for Zale. It was all written so well. And I even fell in love with Zale just as much as I did Patrick. That's one thing that really amazed me.

The only complaint I have for this book, is that it had to come to an end. How I will wait until July 2016 I do not know. So until then, I will sit on my bed and cry. Just kidding. ;) But seriously y'all! Go buy/read these books so we can talk about them together and you can become part of the mermaid fandom!

In my review on "Droplets" I gave it 3.5 stars, but "Ripples" is different. I rated this one 5 stars because I loved it! There were so many scenes where I couldn't wait to turn the page and find out what happens! Lissie has grown into a strong character in such a short amount of time and the twists that are in this book are great!

Even though I didn't rate the first book as high as this one, it is a must read to understand the twists that happen in the second.

I love how Meaghan Rauscher ended Ripples. She did it in a way that wasn't a cliff hanger, but that had me cheering on Lissie.

I find that the history of the merfolk and how they are changed or born a mermaid and the different strengths and weaknesses for both male and female mermaids is very interesting. I am just beginning to read mermaid tales so I like how she wrote hers.

this is a very good series and I cannot WAIT until Torrent comes out in June! So glad that my friend recommended this book to me!

The more I read this trilogy the more interesting it becomes. Book two is even better than book one.
She is now ready to save her love Patrick but on arrival he is gone presumed dead. In his place a warrior appears but instead of killing him they leave him alone. If only she had been able to see him better, as he was in the shadows, she would have realised who he may have been. He is now the warrior Zale in body and soul. She is heart broken and believes her love to be dead.
She soon discovers she has a new guardian in the form of the warrior who looks like her Patrick. He protects her but has no recognition of who or what they were before. They fall in love but at the end he leaves her. There is now a waiting game for her eighteenth birthday when changes will occur.

Droplets

Great book. Have wished for confessions so that Zale would know he was also Patrick. The author knows what she wants the story to be. On to the last book. I can't wait

Awesome!

It's really a great story by itself but wonderfully told each step of the way. I love it! Can't wait to read the final installment.

Not as amazing as the first one, but the second one definitely set the stage for the final book in the trilogy. Excited to read what happens next!

Great series

I really love how smooth the story flows. Even though it is about war and mermaids its also about love.

Same as Droplets, this book was wonderful. It was just as beautifully written, and I could really feel like I was there with Lissie throughout the whole story. I did knock off one star for this one, where Droplets I gave 5.
First reason for this was there were lulls in the story. Given the plot, they are understandable, but I feel that something a little more interesting could have happened in those places.
Second reason for this was there were quite a few typographical errors. I noticed a couple of words had their ending letters left off, and others were there that shouldn't have been. Now usually this isn't a huge deal, but with a book with such a cinematic feel to them as this one is, it was very distracting and made me back track into the story instead of continuing the lovely movie in my head.
Aside from those things, there was plenty of action in the non-lull spots, and it definitely left me wanting more. I cannot wait for the third book in this trilogy.

Enjoyed it much more than the first book. I also thought that Zale's character was genius!
