Quiet Country was the second book in the Satan’s Sinners MC series by Colbie Kay. It was my first book by the author.

Kellon “Bear” Rhodes was the enforcer for the MC. He was the typical big, bad, confident biker, but had a softness for Jacey. Jacey Thomas was a doctor and the best friend to Zoey, book one. She met Bear previously and they connected. It was obvious from the beginning that she had tons of mental baggage.

For the focus of the storyline, Kay took us back to their initial meeting and the encounters that followed then brought us back into the present. I wasn’t a fan of Jacey. She was too indecisive and spineless. And even when they finally ended up together, she was moody AF and it was hard to see the connection or even why Bear loved her. On the flip side, I loved Bear.

Th secondary storyline followed the MC and an ally club, The Cobras. Although the clubs had drama, the main plot stayed on Bear and Jacey.
Unfortunately there were quite a few editing errors, primarily missing words and correct subject verb agreement, which became distracting. Otherwise, it was enjoyable and a fairly quick read.

Kay set the stage well for other books and spin off series. Night Sky is next for Ever and Writer’s story but thankfully spin offs were set up for Snake (Double crossed, Cobras Novella) and Jacey’s associated band (Saving Dawson, A Rocker’s series). I’m looking forward to each and every one.

One night was all it took for Bear to be hooked on Jacey. They were building something even though Jacey is fighting it in everyway. Then Jacey disappears and when Bear sees her again, she is ready to give birth to their son.

Jacey has a jagged past and it has caused her not to trust men. She wants to trust Bear but can she? In order for Jacey and Bear to have any sort of future she has to let go of the past and be honest with Bear, will he give her a second chance.

This was disappointing, it was heavy angst and I think tried to be too much. Jacey I never really warmed to and Bear seemed to have to bend over backwards where she was concerned.

***Arc was given by author for honest review***

We first met Bear and Jacey in City Lights (Satan's Sinners MC 1) and we got a very small glimpse into the rocky start of their relationship. In Quiet Country (Satan's Sinners MC 2) it's all about Bear and Jacey. Their relationship is anything but Happily-ever-after. From the very first night they spent together it was a fight. Jacey has memories of a father, who was also a biker, that she isn't sure is true. She remembers a father who loves her and didn't want her to go, but her mother has filled her head with whispers of unwanted hate, hesitation of bikers, and the need for someone who can provide for her.

Bear is definitely the kind of man that Jacey has always lusted after, but never the kind of man she ever thought she would end up with, so she fights against her feelings at every turn. She keeps some major secrets from him, and is constantly running away from him.

The thing about secrets, they don't stay or can't stay secrets forever, and I enjoyed discovering every single one of them. Colbie Kay has done it again! I kinda hated Jacey's attitude towards Bear, but I figure out the reasons and kinda couldn't fault her. Besides some slight bumps along the way there is a HEA for these two, but not an end to the series. Keep your eyes open for book three in the series Night Sky; Ever and Writer's story

This is the second book in the Satan's Sinners MC series by newbie author Colbie Kay. That being said, this book isn't a sophomore slump AT ALL.

The writing, for me, was much better than City Lights, the first book in the series. The plot was more detailed, characters more developed, everything was just more.

There are plenty of twists and turns, and some scenes from City Lights are expanded upon, giving the reader a more in depth account of major plot points in the series. The characters are interesting and complex, and I felt like I could relate to them. It was a serious emotional ride, and I found myself cursing Colbie Kay for what she put these guys through. And the sex scenes are AMAZING, oh my goodness! I needed a shower after reading some of them.

Overall, this book was great, easy to read and follow, and totally enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this to my romance reading friends in a heartbeat, and I cannot wait to read what else Colbie has to offer.

This was a really good book. Bear is the Enforcer for the Satan's Sinners. He is a hot sexy alpha male. Jacey's a doctor with secrets. She has her whole life planned out, but Bear goes against it all. She had set out to find the truth about her past. Bear has said he would never fall in love. He liked variety in women but that all changed the night he met Jacey. He knew she was his. When Jacey first sees Bear she thinks he is sexy as sin but knows he is trouble. I liked both of these MC's they had a lot of chemistry. This was a good read. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book.

We were left with a cliffhanger in City Lights. We had unanswered questions. Who is Snake to Jacey and will Jacey and Bear get back together?? All questions are answered in Quiet Country.

The book begins were Jacey and Bear's story left off, she arrives at the clubhouse preggers and he is surprised. The first chapter is like Bam! you're thrown into the mix of it. It's a good thing. That means the book grabs you attention from the get go. Then the story takes us through Jacey and Bear's history together. It doesn't retell the previous book. It focuses on Jacey and Bear but with a few touches of everyone else. I like that about this book. Their backstory is crucial but we don't have to have a retelling of City Lights to get it.

Jacey and Bear have a complex story. Bear is the enforcer. He is a man of few emotions but Jacey is his weakness and she is bringing him to his knees. Jacey grew up being told stories and lies about men like Bear. The fear that her and lies her mother told her over the years has caused Jacey to have a clouded sense of the truth. She wants to desperately love Bear but she's scared. Bear understands this because he loves her. He is willing to fight for her and show her that the can work. Their journey is a bumpy one that is full of twists and turns. In the end, the make it to where they supposed to be. It is definitely a story worth reading.

I absolutely L-O-V-E-D this book. OMG! You will want to cry, and laugh. This book is wonderfully written. I recommend this as a must read but read City Lights first.

quiet country is by far the most fulfilling read i have had all month! after reading the first book in the series ( which i highly recommend ) i couldn't figure out how the author was going to make an alpha male that chased after a woman.... she pulled it off. bear is the most dominate teddy bear ive ever seen. the story was very believable too. the story will have u laughing, crying, and mad as well as turned on!! and just when u think ok there's the happily ever after so the story is over, she adds more and keeps u waiting for the out come. not once but twice! i am very impressed with the authors writing, if i hadn't already known i would never have guess she is a new author. this book can be read as a stand alone but i suggest reading them in order.

I read this authors first book Hanger which is an introduction and debut book for Quiet Country.

I am not a MC fan. But this author makes me love MC books and I want to read more about the Satan Sinners.

This is a story about Bear and member of the Satan's Sinners and Jacey. A doctor and former boss of Zoey Porter.

I found this book very enjoyable and cannot wait to read more from this author.

Colbie Kay you are a MC author queen and love it.

~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~
In the second book of the Satan's Sinners MC series we follow Bear and Jacey's story. We saw a little of their story in City Lights and now we get all the questions asked about what happened and where the future leads them. Bear is the Enforcer of the MC and Jacey is the best friend and employer of Zoey "Crazy Girl". Jacey has been abandoned by the people in her life she loved the most as well as having her mother poison her mind all her life. She has barricades up and it's up to Bear to break through with them. Will Bear break through or will even Jacey's walls be too much for even him? Great story with inviting characters. Twists and turns that will leave you breathless. This is the second book in this series and is a standalone but Hanger and Crazy Girls story is in the first book City Lights and it is where we first see Bear and Jacey, so for the most enjoyment I would suggest reading it first.
What happens?
Jacey hides her pregnancy from Bear. She is scared and hurt because of the abuse from her mother over her childhood years.
Bear just wants to be with Jacey and can't understand why she isn't opening up to him. When she turns up at the clubhouse wearing his shirt over a very viable baby bump he nearly accuses her of sleeping with someone else, until she gives birth there and then.
Final thoughts
I loved Bear. I thought he was a good man and loving towards her even when she was being difficult to live with.
Brilliant
A great second book in the sinners series, this is Jacey and Bears story and these two go through hell to be together. Both of them have tough pasts particularly Jacey and it clouds her judgement and makes her scared of commitment especially to a biker. Bear is a hot specimen of manhood and basically a really good guy but she tests him to the limit. She hides her pregnancy from him but it all comes out and he proved to her how much she and his child mean to him. They travel a rocky road but get there in the end their passion for each other is red hot. A really great read you quickly become attached to all the characters and want to know what comes next.
Quiet Country: Satan's Sinners MC (2)
Yet another excellent book. This is Bear and Jacey's story, and it's brilliant, lots going on, very well written. Only one problem, well more of annoyance. It does not continue on from the last book, it goes back in time to when the couple met, and tells their story from their point of view. Which is fine but confusing, as things then happen that did in the last book. Like I said, annoying. But having said that it was an excellent book, with loads going on. Have full series so 8 more to go. Colbie Kay may have a different style of writing than I'm used to, but is still a good author
Enjoyable
This was indeed enjoyable. You meet these two in the first book and read a little about their story. This is the whole version of what happens between these two and it is quite the ride. Gripping well written and enjoyable from beginning to end. I love being able to see how these two fall in love. Highly recommend.
Good Books but they need editing..
It is 2019 and these books have been out since 2014.... I saw all the reviews about editing and spelling issues from when the books in the series were first published. They are not fixed. This is sloppy and unacceptable. Colbie Kay must to think much of her readers of she does not take the time to fix the obvious errors.
Rollercoaster ride when best
Quite Country is Jacey & Bears story, it is a rollercoaster ride when best, insta attraction, crazy hot passion, action, great characters that makes you want to invite them to your next party. It really is a 5 star story, but it needed proofreading to fix up wrong and or missing words
Bear and Jacie
Good story but gaf a hard time liking Jacy. For someone who is 26 a doctor I felt I was reading about a immature 14 year old too much yelling and drama. I will say I cant wait to read about all the next stories in the series
Awesome 🔥😍🔥
Loved this second book in the Satan’s Sinners MC romance series. Loved Bear, bless his heart, his journey with Jacey was filled with angst, heartbreak and tragedy. Some of it caused by Jacey and the trust issues she had to overcome. Totally recommend it 🔥😍🔥
Good
This book was a good addition to this series. The first part of the book was really good and kept my attention. The last part did have some twists and turns plus action, but it was really rushed.
Awesome read. Bear and Jacey definitely have their ups and downs but Bear knows she needs time. Jacey has to give up the crap her mom drilled in her head and go after what she really wants. Great storyline and excellent writing. Can’t wait to read the next book.
Love love LOVE
I'm loving this series.. Each man is lovable and memorable. The only downfall was the editing. It's has simple grammatical errors and even misspelled words. It became distracting sometimes. That why it's a4 not a 5 star.
