We are reading this book as a part of the 1000 books by kindergarten challenge. Many are borrowed and some are owned but we wanted to track the journey so that we would know which ones we loved the most!

Babies first science textbook with a quiz at the end! I really like these National Geographic Kids books. They have exactly the right amount of information per page, real photos, and interactive components. 5 animals, 2 pages each, was perfect here.
Animals are very interesting to toddlers. They are quick to learn about their world. With this cool book about farm animals, toddlers learn that cows produce the milk they drink. As a matter of fact, one cow can give 400 glasses per day. Toddlers will also learn that hens lay eggs and chicks hatch from them. Actual photos give young readers insight to the world of animals and help them recognize them when they visit the farm. Toddlers will also learn the sounds various animals make. There are lots of fun facts about the animals presented throughout these pages. This sturdy board book is perfect for small hands.
Farm Animals was a favorite with Trent immediately. One of his stations at school is all about animals and they spend their time there talking about the different animals, what color they are, and what sound they made, so Trent loved telling me all of the animals’ names and the sound they make. I loved that there were animals facts and sidebars in addition to just the animal photographs and sounds.
