Actually a children's illustrated book aimed at introducing children to art and artists through fun.
You get to view Alexander Calder through Mike Venezia's illustrations and words. Certainly makes you want to learn more and find out about the life of Alexander Calder.
A good start to explain about art as a subject and the life of Alexander Calder who created famous sculptures, painting, drawings, and his designs of wallpaper, rugs, kitchen utensils, jewelry and toys.
Thank you Mike Venezia

Children's books are incredible at providing information in a concise manner. This book of Alexander Caldwell, "Sandy", does an excellent job telling about this interesting man and illustrating his colorful, whimsical art. I highly recommend it to adults as well as the children for whom it is written.

Alexander Calder or “Sandy” was an artist truly ahead of his time. Born in 1898 into an artistic household, Calder became one of the earliest and most famous modern artists of the twentieth century. His passion was to make fun, colorful shapes that moved naturally in the air. I really enjoyed reading this and seeing many of Calder’s larger than life, dynamic “stabiles” and mobiles.
