Independence is hopping with another mysterious mail order bride landing on their steps! This time though, as Jess is leaving church to go home due to being really sick, he comes upon Sarah and finds out she came for him! Who sent her? Jess takes her to the pastor and immediately marries her, to the consternation of his mother and Mrs Brock who wanted him to marry her daughter Bernice. But more is going on that appears and the whole town is on the hunt for the "Mad Matchmaker". Of course there are not anymore single men left but did that ever stop any of them!
Love this series, Kit Morgan and Michael Rahhal. It truly does not get better than this series! Sit back and enjoy!!!

This review is for the rest of the series. I just don't have time to do individual reviews. So if you are looking for a good, clean, enjoyable romance give this series a shot. The stories are heartwarming and fun to read. I was able to get through them pretty fast and they were all enjoyable. I would definitely love to read more.

It is Easter Sunday and Jess has to leave church because he feels ill and his cough will not stop. As he is walking home, a stage stops and Sarah is the only passenger. She has come as a mail – order – bride, to marry Jess Templeton. Jess says it must have been the mad marriage broker striking again. But, he will marry Sarah immediately.

Jess becomes ill and must stay at the doctor's house in order to make sure he gets the care he needs. Sarah is taken out to the Templeton farm to stay with his mother and father.

His mother treats Sarah like a slave and even gets a town meeting called in order to annul the “illegal” marriage. She has plans and they do not include Sarah.

The story is straight forward. The townsfolk determine that the marriage broker must be stopped and everyone goes on the hunt to find the person. There is even a reward for whoever discovers the identity of this horrible person.

Sarah and Jess get to know one another. Other characters are from past mail – order – bride stories. Although this is part of a series it is not difficult to keep up with the plot.

For me, the story seemed almost too simplistic. Although this is part of a series, there was little explanation about characters who were part of previous books in the series. It would have made it easier to understand relationships if we got more information about those relationships.

Ms Morgan is a talented author. I just wish I would have been able to see more of her talent exhibited here.

A heartwarming and amusing romance!

The Easter Mail-Order Bride continues the journey of many characters that we have come to know in the Holiday Mail Order Bride series. The characters are entertaining and well developed. The story line is fresh and mingles characters from previous books so you feel like the story continues where it left off. The plot moves along at a good pace. This is a sweet and delightful story that will captivate you and keep your attention from the beginning to the end.

Michael Rahhal did a fantastic job on the narration. He really brought the characters to life. He did a great job with the different accents, especially the Irish accent. Sometimes his impersonations made me giggle. Every single time he said “uhh huh” I just have to laugh. You can hear the passion in his performance with the concise and clear speech while adding depth to the story.

Kit Morgan is one of my favorite authors. I know that when I pick up one of her books that I won’t be disappointed. Even though this is part of a series, each book can be read as a stand-alone. I have read/listened to each book back to back. If you are looking for a good mail order bride series to start, then I recommend to start with the Holiday Mail Order Bride series. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a heartwarming mail order bride romance.

This was one of the shorter installments (book 11) in the Holiday Mail-Order Brides series. At just over 4 hours it only took two (2) days of commuting to work to finish this one but it was well worth it. There is a surprise ending and I'm not going to spoil it for anyone reading the series or who plan to read it. The Easter mail-order bride was a little different from the other books in that the groom married his bride the same day that she arrived! This really held my interest and was a wonderful and funny plot with the usual suspects i.e. Mercy, Martha and Maude. Berneice is there but not the same as she's been in previous books. Betsy is making her appearance to keep everybody under control and making us laugh the whole time. This time our bride is Sarah and our groom is Jess Templeton. The town is in an uproar and on the hunt to find out who the "mad matchmaker" is and why he/she keeps sending them mail-order brides. I really enjoy this series and it recently dawned on me that this series takes place in three (3) different locations, New Orleans, Nowhere and Independence. I'll be sorry to see this series end but in the future, look forward to re-reading it again.

This book was a Kindle freebie that I downloaded about three years ago, I think. I was doing some digital spring cleaning on Easter weekend when I across it again and figured it would be a quick read.

This book wasn't bad, but it wasn't great, either. There was almost no character development, but I wasn't too surprised by that. Overall, this had the vibe of a story written at the end of a long-running series to keep the fans happy. I haven't read of the other books in the series, but I have read several long series. I know that I would be happy to get that 11th book even if the plot is slight, simply to spend more time with my favorite characters. Still, there wasn't enough here to compel me to seek out the other books and start from the beginning.

A fun read. A girl comes to town as a mail order bride. She didn't know that this particular town had received more than one to-be bride and no one knew who sent them! She meets her intended groom when he was battling a case of the flu but still in all he decides to marry her.
The reaction of the town's people is sheer surprise, not to mention how the man's mother reacts! A well written story with lots of twists to keep you reading. The characters were all well described and down.-to-earth people.

I loved the mysterious nature of this plot. I have not yet read any of the other titles in Kit Morgan’s Holidays Mail Order Brides series. Kit Morgan has a sense of humor which comes out in the plot of The Easter Mail-Order Bride. She included several surprises in the storyline. She did a great job with character development - the characters all seem like “real people.”

I would not hesitate to add The Easter Mail-Order Bride to my k-12 Christian school library.

It's 1872 in Independence Oregon and a mad matchmaker has been sending mail order brides from other parts of the US to specific men in town without their knowledge. But strangely each of the women have been a perfect match for their mate! Who is the mad matchmaker and when will he strike again?

This is a cute, humorous novella that kept me laughing from start to finish when all ends up happily ever after!

This was an intriguing story from the beginning to the end. Mystery and love story combined.the ending wasn't what I expected,but glad it all turned out for the best.great author.if you have not ready any of her books,I suggest you read just one and be hooked.great series or stand a lone books.

Another cute, quick read, mail-order bride adventure. This one is about the search for "mad matchmaker" that has ordered brides for single young men of marriageable age in the town. The matchmaker isn't the only mystery that is being solved in this book. Bit different than the other books in the series.

Interesting Story

This is the story of Sarah and Jess. It follows a different arc than most of the other stories in this series. It was nice to have a break from the dramatic angst of whether or not they would fall in love. This has some interesting side stories making it quite fun

I enjoyed this mail-order bride romance set in Independence Missouri after the Civil War. A mail-order bride shows up but no-one knows who sent for her. She gets married to a really sick man, and his parents at first deny their son's marriage is legal. After a while though they come to love her.

I liked getting to know the heroine, Sarah as well as her husband Jess. Watching them grow as a couple was wonderful. I also enjoyed getting to know the secondary characters as well. The end left the identity of the matchmaker up in the air.

The mystery of the unknown matchmaker

If you have been reading these in order, which I believe you should, you know that Independence has a mystery matchmaker who sends away for mail order brides without telling the grooms.

This installment is not so much about Jess and Sarah, but mostly about the gusto with which the towns people try to figure out who the mystery person is. There is another smaller mystery to solve as well.

This installment returns to the light hearted nature of the first book set in Independence. Thankfully.

Better than the last one!

Kit Morgan's books keep getting better and better, I'm glad this book concentrated on finding the mad matchmaker. The romance was great but the mystery gave this book a different element. I also thought the way Bernice took over her life was excellent.
