Dannika Dark

“No man had ever offered me his heart. In three hours, one man offered me his life.”

Three Hours is book five in the Seven series by Dannika Dark. It’s been three years since the ending of book four, Four Days. This book centers around Wheeler, the mysterious, tattooed member of the Cole family and Weston Pack who considers himself an outcast. And Naya, Lexi’s best friend.

Dancer

Naya’s profession is an exotic dancer. She doesn’t strip but choreographs complex, artistic programs to entertain her audience. She and Lexi have been best friends for years but she considers herself a loner. Naya is also a shifter but her animal is a black panther. She keeps this fact secret since panthers are generally feared among the shifter community. Two of the other dancers from the club she works for have recently gone missing. One of them has a child. Naya feels like her own safety is at risk so she goes to Lexi’s family for help. Austin decides Naya needs a body guard and who does he assign to her but Wheeler. She and Wheeler don’t get along, at all!

Stripper's suit against Schofield club moves forward

Wheeler will do as asked by his brother and pack master, Austin, and guard Naya. As they spend time together, though, he discovers there is a lot more to this frustrating woman than he once thought.

“There’s something about your past you’re hiding. You wear ink on your body like armor, but that’s not a confession--it’s a defense.”

“I’d begun to see Wheeler in a different light--glimpses of who he was hiding from the world.”

Three Hours

As Naya and Wheeler are forced to spend time together, they were forced to face the growing chemistry between them. But more than that, trust grew between them. Naya had a way with Wheeler and finally he admitted his past to her. To say I was shocked would be an understatement as to what happened to him. And to now know the man he has become even with all he has endured is amazing. We also learn of the history of the relationship he has with his twin brother, Ben. I don’t want to say much here but to let you draw your own conclusions. Again, I was shocked.

wolf and panther - Google Search

“Wheeler reminded me of the Tin Man--all rusty and impenetrable on the outside, devoid of a heart. But, who could have guessed that beneath all that armor was a man capable of unwavering devotion and love?”

Again the Weston Pack is drawn into an ugly situation and again, they come together and rise to the defense of others. I loved Naya and Wheeler together. They were perfect for each other. I want to say here that there is so much about this Pack that I love. They have broken all the normal boundaries of a family of wolves. Not only do they have humans within their pack but are willing to take in a panther when she was in need.

panthers and wolves - Google Search

You will be shocked at some of the horrible things that go on underground within the shifter community and of course, the Weston Pack gets involved and fights against the bad guys. Will they be able to find the missing girls and keep Naya safe? Can a panther live in peace with a family of wolves? This is another great addition to this series. Each book is so unique in it’s own way. I can’t wait to see where Dannika Dark takes us next.

“Naya didn’t look at him like she would a monster; she looked at him like she would a man.”

3.5 It was a pretty good story but...

I expected more from this couple.
Yes, they were funny and sweet and cute at times, but I couldn't really get into the story as much as I hoped.

Still, a good read, especially if you've read the other books in this series.

Three Hours is the fifth installment in Dannika Dark's paranormal/shifter romance series titled Seven. I was fortunate enough to have access to these first five books via audio at the public library so I gobbled them up. I have enjoyed them all, but obviously have enjoyed some more than others. Three Hours is my second favorite in the series to date...and there are more than haven't even been released yet! Each book follows a different shifter and their respective romance. There is an ongoing story throughout the series related to the wolf pack and shifter life in general and past and present characters make cameo appearances. I loved the main characters in this installment: exotic dancer/panther shifter: Naya and wolf shifter: Wheeler. Naya is sexy as hell and the romance, although slow going, ended up being well worth the wait. It's one of those enemy-turn-lover type of stories and these two had me glued to the page.

A unique aspect of this shifter series is that the characters have no memory of what has occurred when in their animal form. There is no communication between the “man” and his/her animal which had me confused when I started the series. I thought Ms. Dark was just skipping over shift scenarios and it didn't make much sense. However, this aspect really adds to the events in this particular book. Someone is causing shifters to involuntarily shift and then forcing their animal into cage fighting, and when all is said and done, the shifter must deal with the aftermath. The fights are to the death...so the internal conflict of “What have I done?” remains.

Three Hours was emotional, sexy, mysterious, and incredibly suspenseful. I enjoyed it very much and I thought it was a great addition to an already engaging series. Check it out!

My favorite quote:
“People are more than who they allow you to see.”

Naya
➤ flirty
➤ confident
➤ sexy
➤ compassionate
➤ and has a habit of slapping men who deserve it

“[...] you’re nothing but a coward—afraid of being a man and taking care of your own. You’re not even worth the slap of my hand.” – Naya

(☞ or sometimes not 😂)

And even though people might look down on her for being an exotic dancer, she knows her self-worth and doesn't let others (especially men) disrespect her

“[...] treat me well, Deldago, for I am a queen.” – Naya

So yep, totally my kinda gurl, so special mention to her because I think she deserves it.

All in all, I really enjoyed the story. I didn't mind that it was a little slow and had suspense in it. Sometimes the mood strikes and this book was just perfect, especially after DNFing so many books in a row because they weren't what I was looking for.

Dannika Dark has done it again. She has written a wolf shifter book (and series) that is exactly what all paranormal romance series should be, but are not always. Romance, mixed with action, and combined with a pack made up of mostly family members that care about each other. Even when that caring isn’t always reciprocated the way it should be.

Naya is an exotic dancer at a strip club. She is also the best friend of Lexi, mate to Austin, the packmaster of the Weston Pack. So of course she has been around the pack a lot, but since she is a panther, she keeps more to herself. The pack take bets on what she is, but she’s not telling-especially since panthers are hated by wolves. Long history there. Wheeler Cole is a member of the pack, and brother to Austin. He’s not the friendliest of the brothers, and until this book, not my favorite character, as in, I really didn’t like him. But of course there is a lot more to Wheeler then meets the eye, and now I like him a lot more. Naya and Wheeler have been noticing each other, but when this book starts, are still pretending not to be interested When a couple of the girls at the club disappear, Naya hires Reno, Wheeler’s private detective brother, to try and find them. When Austin gets Wheeler to act as Naya’s bodyguard after an incident, the sparks begin between Naya and Wheeler.

As usual with these books, the characters are my favorite part of the read. Naya has been around through most of the books, and I knew early on that I wanted to read her book. She’s overtly sexual, and full of innuendos. She’s also very caring, and a great friend to Lexi and her family. She makes no apologies about what she does for a living; as a shifter without a family or anyone to help her, she has to make her way in the world. Wheeler may be a wolf, but he’s as bristly as a grizzly bear. I would never call him nice. But, he is fiercely loyal to his family and pack, and would rather die then let anything happen to them. He also has a back story that explains why he is the way he is.

Five books in, and the reader is fully immersed into the Weston Pack. It’s mostly made up of the Cole brothers, although book four did not involve one of the brothers finding a mate. This author doesn’t always do the expected, and that’s just part of the reason she is one of my favorite authors. Each of these books could be read as a stand alone if need be, but I can pretty much guarantee, if you read book one, Seven Years, you are going to want to read these in order. None of these are cliffhangers, always a good thing.

So this one ended up going into romantic suspense territory, of course with a paranormal edge. The romance was both sweet and hot(but not overly), and the suspense at times became edge of your seat territory. All of these books are well written, with characters that you care about, and story lines that are both heartwarming at times, and exciting. That’s why I have read and loved everything this author has ever written, and I will continue to read anything else she writes-no matter what it’s about.

Shifters not your thing? Try this author’s Mageri Series, it’s one of my all time favorite series, and is set in the same paranormal world as the Seven Series. I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review. (RabidReads.com)

5 Three Hours Stars

I love each book in this series, and I wasn’t sure how I would like Wheeler. Because he doesn’t seem like a character I could relate to but boy was I wrong.

He is a guy that wants what is best for his pack and if that means protecting them from his twin then he will do it. I figured he was hiding something just from the way he was in the other books and that is his past we learn a heck of a lot about Wheeler and the kind of shifter he is. But we also find out a lot about Ben and what kind of shifter he is.

Wheeler and Naya you wouldn’t think they work but boy do they ever. I love the connection they make and the chemistry they have.
Wheeler needs to learn to trust himself and Naya needs to let herself trust. And these two bring that out in each other.

I love that they both have pasts they need to overcome but they really don’t do that until they have each other to do it with. :)

Reading this series is like curling up on the couch on a rainy day with a cup of coffee and being able to fall in love. :)

Again I LOVE the narration I know I say that with each book but it’s true. I love it.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

3 hours is the title for the book of Naya & Wheeler but it took me 4 days to finish it. I love the couple I truly do but I struggled in finishing their story. I felt that it was dragged too long. Aside from that there’s Austin, how can Wheeler be reprimanded all the time compare to Ben who is always missing especially during Ivy’s dilemma is truly a wonder. I felt that he was so blind on most things. I get that Ben provide more money but was that all the basis to be truly a pack member?

What I love here was Wheeler's character development. Both Wheeler and Naya showed loyalty and bravery. I would’ve love if there was a scene that showed how fierce Wheeler is. Then there’s a little bit of the shifter’s history. Overall I still like their story. 👍🏻

Then boom goes the dynamite 💥 💥

This is the fifth book in the Seven Series by Dannika Dark. From the very first book, I fell in love with the Westin Pack. This group of brothers has each other’s backs and will fight and protect any wolf or human or other that they bring into their family. This book is Wheeler and Naya’s story.

In the previous books, the reader gets the sense that Wheeler is troubled and he definitely exudes a bad boy image with all his dark tattoos and moody personality. He is fiercely loyal but can be quick to judge. Wheeler is a financial guru and helps to keep the pack’s business ventures in the black. Up until Three Hours, Wheeler intrigued me and I knew he had more to his story than we had been allowed to see. After reading this installment in the series, I have whole heartedly jumped on the Wheeler band wagon. Once again, this author has taken a questionable character and made him so vulnerable and loveable, the reader cannot help but fall in love with him. Sexy, bad boy alpha with a need to be loved unconditionally….perfect book boyfriend material!

Naya James is a troubled shifter as well. She is living as an outcast so that she doesn’t have to reveal her animal. Doing so will put her in grave danger. Living alone has caused her to build tough walls around her heart. She is best friends with Lexi and helps the young shifters she dances with but no one knows the real Naya. When danger comes knocking, Naya turns to the Westin Pack for help and Wheeler is assigned as her body guard.

Naya and Wheeler have had less than friendly encounters in the past. This book jumps ahead 3 years in the timeline and the tension between these two has not lessoned. It becomes quickly clear that the tension between them is due to attraction and potential mate feelings. I loved that they were able to block out the rest of the pack and the rest of the world to eventually tell each other their fears, their dark secrets, and their dreams, with no judgement and no expectations for anything more. One of my favorite quotes is actually from Ivy to Naya:

“Wheeler can appear to be as tempestuous as an angry ocean, but the further you are willing to go, the calmer the waters. I think you two will make a fine pairing. He needs someone to warm those icy waters and give him a chance to shine.”

As Wheeler’s past comes to light, a new villain emerges in this tale. No spoilers here, but there is a familiar character who turns out to be not what they appear. I look forward to the last two and a half books in this series. You will want to read this series in order just to keep the story line fluid.

*I received an ARC of this title for an honest review.

I simply adored the author and narrator team of Dannika Dark and Nicole Poole so I love returning to the Seven Series on audio. This time around I got to listen toWheeler's story in  Three Hours .

Wheeler and Naya have been fighting like cats and dogs ever since they meet a couple of years ago (yes Dannika fast forward a couple of years and I'm so excited because Mazie is getting older and I just know that she and Denver will get together by the end of the series) but I'm getting ahead of myself we are here to talk about Wheeler and Naya.

There's a good reason the two fight like cats and dogs, it because Wheeler is a grumpy wolf and Naya is a sexy panther but no one knows what her animal is. They have bets in the Weston Pack that she is some kind of cat. But Naya keeps her animal secret because there is a long prejudice in the shifter world against panthers. It goes back to the days where shifters were owned as slaves and used in fights.

Wheeler comes off as well, an asshole. He is never smiles is quick to be snarky and keeps to himself. He's seen as the black sheep of the Weston Pack. Total opposite of his twin brother Ben, who is a big flirt and easy-going. But the twins share a past that no one else in the Pack knows about and I gained mad respect for Wheeler once the truth was let out.

Wheeler really is the walking and talking example of why you shouldn't judge someone by the way they look. He may look mean with all his tattoos and surly attitude but he has a huge heart and Naya is the one that sees it and brings it out for everyone else to see.

Nicole Poole continues to bring an A+ performance with Three Hours . Her voice and timber is wonderful for both female and male voices. She really brings Dark's world and characters to life. The Seven series is an audio only series for me.

Three Hours has become my new favorite Dannika Dark story! Very well done, great balance between fights, intrigue and romance, and the characters really showed me what they were made of!
Review - (un)Conventional Bookviews
Ever since the Seven series started, I have been curious about both Naya and Wheeler, and having them be the main characters in Three Hours was a real treat! Both are strong-minded, loyal to a fault and takes not bullshit from anybody else. Wheeler has always been quite mysterious, he never cared how others judged him based on his grumpy disposition and numerous tattoos. Even when his own pack and brothers would rather choose Ben over him, he let it slide, even if id didn't sit well with him. Being loyal to his twin was more important to him than making sure his pack knew and respected him the way they should.

Naya has always been secure in her sexuality, her intelligence and the way she acts. While she has been an exotic dancer for a while, this was never her dream, but a girl has to earn a living, and when the girl is a supe, she also needs to be able to save for many a rainy day. The character development in Three Hours is so well done, both Naya and Wheeler truly matured, were able to open up, and they showed me that they were even stronger than I had thought in the beginning.

There are several story-arcs in Three Hours, because two shifter girls from the club where Naya worked went missing, and so Naya took it on herself to try to figure out what was up. There was also the way Wheeler's past needed to be brought into the open, and the way he finally was able to share some of his burdens with someone was beautifully done. Once things started heating up, Naya was truly caught between a rock and a hard space, as she needed to find out who had caught her friend from the club, and making sure Lexie and her pack would stay safe - as well as staying safe herself, too. As the story went on, the pace became faster, and I loved every minute of it!

A great mix of romance, suspense and mystery, Three Hours was able to include all of the things I look for in a good book. There were some pretty intense fights, some fireworks in the way of smexiness, and, of course, the wonderful characters who just continued being awesome as the story unfolded.

Written in both first and third person, past tense, I got both Naya and Wheeler's perspective, and it was especially great to see their inner thoughts about each other, and the sticky situations they sometimes found themselves in. All UF / PNR fans should have this series on their shelves, it has everything we need to feel satisfied with a story.
Fave Quotes - (un)Conventional Bookviews
After everything he'd given Ben to show his loyalty and love, he realized it had been in vain. And yet he still couldn't turn his back on blood, nor could he reveal to the rest of the family what had happened between them.

I smiled fiendishly and sat back, watching his gaze shift direction when I crossed my legs. he poured the wine so slowly that I thought it might turn back into grapes. I had to admit, I loved putting a blush on a man's cheek. That was in my nature.

Wheeler had an average frame with anything but an average build. Not an ounce of fat showed, just lean muscle. There was something dark and desirous about him I couldn't put my finger on, although perhaps it had to do with him being the opposite of every man I'd ever been attracted to.

BEST. BOOK. SO. FAR. Which I seem to be saying a lot lately. I just love this series so much.

Both Wheeler and Naya were wildcards for me. We saw so little of them together and when they were together it was animosity at its best. Definitely enemies to lovers here.

Wheeler is the black sheep of the family. He has very good reasons to act the way he does. His brother and other half Ben are often thrown in the same pot and that the pack thinks highly of Ben and that Wheeler is faced with backlash. Wheeler wanted and needed what Naya could give him. Broke my poor little heart.

We meet Naya in book one she is Lexi's best friend. Naya was awesome, I didn't like her at the beginning she knows her strengths and plays toward them. Deep down there were things Naya wanted and thought that she could never have. But she gets her HFN.

The story plot was great and ties up the loose ends with Delgado. I wanted Ben to somehow redeem himself but it wasn't meant to be. I don't know if it will ever be.

I wanted to reach out to you in advance to let you know you will be receiving the ARC of “Three Hours” by Dannika Dark sent directly to your KINDLE in the next few hours.

When I heard the ping on my phone alerting me I had gotten an email, never did I expect that I would receive those very words. Thanks to the amazing Enchantress of Books Blog Tours I checked my kindle two hours later and there sat my beautiful ARC with that gorgeous man on the cover.

So must state this: I was given an ARC in return for an honest review.

As if my reviews would be anything but honest ;-)

Three Hours is the 5th installment of the Seven Series by Dannika Dark. I fell in love with this series recently and reviewed every single novel on the blog, so if you want to read those you can read them here: Seven Years, Six Months, Five Weeks, Four Days

From the first time Naya and Wheeler meet, it was instant chemistry that had me bouncing because I knew they were going to make a great novel. A slap of fury and a kiss of promise left them angry and burning for each other.

Dannika Dark does not fail her readers; giving us a little bit more of the Weston Pack, exciting adventures, sizzling chemistry, and an indescribable love between two people.

Wheeler had never really been a favorite of mine because of his sarcastic remarks and his tendencies to be well…an asshole. But as I learned with Reno, Dannika has a way of taking the easily forgettable (and unlikable) character and turning him into a hero that we crave more of.

And I inhaled him. I inhaled the whole damn book. Wheeler came out with such depth, and the story of him and Ben just cleared up a whole gigantic mess of unanswered questions. Naya is affectionate towards him in ways that nobody else is, but she loves toying with Wheeler’s emotions:

I chuckled softly. “I can’t help it. When someone is so uptight about sex, it just opens a door. Yours just happens to have a welcome mat in front of it.”

Her confidence in herself is appealing. And I love that Dannika didn’t make her this amazingly perfect woman, with perfect abs, perfect legs, and perfect everything. Naya is not America’s concept of a beautiful woman, but beautiful all the same. She’s curvy, but she owns her sexuality. And she’s never ashamed of her job, because she doesn’t see it as dirty, but rather as dancing and art.

I was a phenomenal dancer, and a woman in control of her sexuality is a powerful thing.

Wheeler and Naya’s attraction to each other is electric, and she is able to see deep down where the rest of the pack haven’t. The only one who ever came close to understanding Wheeler was Ivy in the novel Four Days, but she never got the chance to open him up either. Naya looked underneath the tattooed, sarcastic, broody male and saw the amazing, loving man beneath.

He didn’t want people to see the scarred creature beneath his skin. Didn’t want them to look at him with disappointment and disdain. So he bottled it up, hid in his room with his favorite leather chair, and dealt with life. Naya opened him up, and he helps her when she needs it most.

I love the ‘no-drama’ aspect of this story. They accept how they are with each other, and there’s no back and forth drama. It’s really refreshing to just have two characters be like “well…fuck” haha.

So if you’ve never read any of the Seven Series, you need to start now. Start with the first one Seven Years and work you’re way through the addictive creatures of the Weston Pack.

Exotic dancer, Naya James, is fearful because other shifter dancers from her club have gone missing. Naya asks the pack alpha for protection and he sends her Wheeler. Wheeler is the one wolf shifter everyone, including his own pack, is leery of.

Wheeler and Naya have just never gotten along; water and oil. But the for as much as the bicker and fight there is sexual interest that they have routinely denied. Now that Wheeler is on protection detail for Naya, they are together 24/7 and the sexual tension grows even as the danger increases. Everything is about to come to a boiling point and their very lives depend on if they can learn trust one another.

Not only are we treated to insight into Wheeler and Naya but more truths come out about Ben, Wheeler's twin as well.

Loyalties will be questioned.

Can the pack survive the threat that will make them all questioned what they thought to be truth?

I loved Three Hours. My favorite part is how masterfully Dark transforms the animosity between Wheeler and Naya into a mutual admiration and more. While the heartache and scars, both emotionally and physically, connected me to characters and their plights.

I devoured Three Hours in one sitting. Dark once again provides a compelling story that had me riveted to the pages.

I received this ARC copy of Three Hours from Dannika Dark in exchange for a honest review. This book is set for publication April 6, 2015.

Naya and Wheeler. This story takes place 3 years after book 4 ends. I have to admit, I skipped books 2 & 3. So there was a bit of back story to these two and their 'relationship' that is filled in for the reader, but I kinda wished I'd read those two books first. (I'll be rectifying that in the near future!). So basically, even though they have mutual friends who care for and respect them both, they do NOT get along with each other. But something shady is going on where Naya works as an exotic dancer, and she needs protection. Wheeler gets assigned to that duty by his Alpha. The scratchy yet playful sparring between these two is fun to read. Fortunately it doesn't carry on forever and get one the reader's nerves. In just a few days, each learns more about the other and they start building a relationship based on respect. Both Naya and Wheeler keep a lot about themselves private for believable reasons that pull the reader in and make you want to know more. Naya's secret is revealed pretty early on, but Wheeler's secret is all wrapped up in his twisted relationship with his twin brother Ben. I gotta say, I was climbing the walls during a good part of the book wishing Wheeler would confront his brother. It was super frustrating, but alls well that ends well. And the ending was fantastic and worth the angst! You get a lot of time with the other characters in a way that supports the story without detracting from the MCs. I so look forward to glimpses of Naya and Wheeler in the next book! I especially like this authors's dedication to her characters. They stay 'themselves' no matter what and they are distinctive enough that it doesn't become one big homogeneous family. Good action, believable villains, thoughtful MCs and very little stupidity. Exotic dancer/shifter, Naya James, needs protection due to girls at the club going missing. Wheeler Cole is assigned as her body guard by his brother/Alpha. Naya and Wheeler have always fought like cats and dogs, but as things unfold they begin to confide in each other.

I love this book. There was so much excitement and drama. I could not put it down.

Poor Wheeler is unjustifiably labeled the black sheep of his family, while his twin, who is the real issue, gets all the love and attention. My heart went out to Wheeler and all he endured to protect his twin. He is a good guy, whom is very misunderstood.

I love that he confides in Naya. Despite their rocky start, the two are actually perfect for on another. I like that Naya is so caring. She has kept her animal a secret due to prejudices and fear. She is a strong individual with a healthy outlook. The confidence in the way she talks kind of reminded me of Pam from HBO’s True Blood Series. For whatever reason I kept hearing her voice and accent in my head, but I did not visualize her looking like Kristin Bauer.

The plot was clever and involved. All the details are perfect and carefully thought out. The story had a bit of everything: humor, mystery, drama, romance.

I also appreciate that we get glimpses of the past Seven series characters, so we know what is going on in their lives.

Dannika Dark is an amazing writer. Each book while related, is very different and just as thrilling. The Seven Series continues to be one of my favorites. I look forward to book six, Two Minutes.

I'm so glad I waited to read this book. I was feeling series burnout earlier. But this was the perfect book for my mood this weekend.

4 "Unconventional Mates" stars for the story and 4.5 stars for Nicole Poole's narration!

This fifth book in the Seven series once again proves that you can always count on the fab writer/narrator duo of Dannika Dark and Nicole Poole to deliver a solid paranormal romance. While I have to admit that Wheeler, with his dark, brooding personality is not my favorite Weston brother, Three Hours nonetheless delivers a believable, heart warming romance with a good dose of suspense and action, which are the classic hallmarks of the Seven Series. Additionally, like each of the four books that came before this one, Three Hours also contains threads of originality that render the romance fresh and is sure to keep listeners on their toes. In this case, be prepared for a hero who enjoys a little bit of submission and an elegant heroine whose animal wields an inordinate amount of power that is both feared and desperately sought to be enslaved by many familiar with her breed.

Please note that this series must be read in order for maximum enjoyment as there is a larger story arc concerning the shifter world that evolves successively over each book. Additionally, although each book features one primary couple, and the unfolding of their love story, the prior couples continue to evolve and play influential roles in the later books. Both the hero and the heroine have been previously introduced in prior books--Wheeler being one of the Weston brothers and Naya being the exotic dancer, best friend of Lexi (the heroine from Seven Years).

Notwithstanding that both Wheeler and Naya share the common trait of being self-reliant and extremely independent--a trait no doubt derived from their mutual attempts to keep their own dangerous secrets hidden--they still nonetheless always seem to fight like "cats and dogs" whenever they have had the misfortune of crossing paths in the past.

But everything changes when Naya comes to Austin, the Weston Pack's leader and Wheeler's brother, for protection and help to find a missing exotic dancer from the club she works at and Austin assigns Wheeler the role of acting as Naya's bodyguard. Forced to spend time together they soon acquire a deep respect for one another and eventually become unable to mask their mutual attraction. It isn't long before they are divulging to each other secrets that they have not shared with any one else, and are longing to bring their physical chemistry to its natural fruition. However, when Naya's secrets and Wheeler's secrets converge, they soon will find each other in the cross hairs of an extremely dangerous plot; and they will be forced to decide between their love for one another and their own lives.

Nicole Poole as always delivers a great performance in Three Hours. I find it remarkable that with so many different characters involved in the Seven Series, she is nonetheless able to impart each one with his or her own unique sound. Additionally, Ms. Poole's characterizations have remained remarkably consistent across the five books in the series thus far, causing you to feel like you are settling into a new story with old familiar characters that you have come to know and love in the prior Seven Series books.

From the Indian to the Spanish accents, and the old to the young, Ms. Dark does a fantastic job of conveying each character's unique traits via her delivery of their dialogue. Naya, for example, sounds just like the exotic dancer, diva you would expect her to be, but nonetheless very powerful all in the same. Whereas, Wheeler sounds like the glum, social outcast he has portrayed himself to be in the prior books. I love that in Three Hours we finally come to know what deep dark secrets Wheeler has been hiding--and which when you learn them--ultimately redeem him as an honorable, loyal man. Interestingly, Ms. Poole's performance is so magical that you almost feel like you can hear the difference in his dialogue from the beginning as compared to the end when he generally becomes a more likable hero.

All in all, I greatly enjoyed Three Hours. The Seven Series has come to be one of my favorite paranormal romance series of all time, and I can't wait to continue the adventure with what promises to be one of the most epic love stories of all: Denver and Maizy's story! Stay tuned for this next installment in the Seven Series, titled Two Minutes and which is scheduled to be released later this year (August 2015).

I am floating on an endless sea of feels!!! Three Hours was PURRRFECTION! It was everything I hoped it would be plus a hundred more I never even imagined. I always suspected that still waters ran deep within Wheeler, but I could never have predicted the veritable Marianas Trench beneath his choppy surface. Of all the members of the Weston Pack, Wheeler has consistently been my favorite because of his snarky disdain. Now he is my favorite for a myriad of reasons beginning with his unwavering devotion to those he loves. Naya was the perfect female to soften his rough edges. She is a strong, confident, independent woman who I could not love more. Her fiery personality is tempered with an overwhelming amount of compassion that make her the perfect heroine. And when these two incredibly explosive characters come together....Q=mcΔT (formula for heat)! I cannot stress enough how much I LOVED this book. Dannika Dark continues to surprise and awe me with each new installment!

Three Hours is a story that proves one cannot judge a book by its cover. On the outside you have an exotic dancer and the black sheep of the family. Within the pages you learn how they became what they are and who they are beneath it all. The beauty behind the stereotypes is magnificent. The stories of the past -heart wrenching. A betrayal no one sees-devastating.

From cover to cover, the reader is gripped by the exciting, emotional and suspenseful tale of two imperfect people finding acceptance in each other. An unnatural pairing of natural born enemies. Who would have thought that they could heal each other's wounds and become one?

I absolutely love this book, series and author! Like all of Dannika's works of art, the pages hold more than tantalizing story-- they contain a powerful message.

"Every lock has a key, and all keys have jagged edges and crooked sides. No one is perfect, we're exactly perfect for the one who matters."-Three Hours by Dannika Dark

And Boom goes the dynamite!

Just when I think it can’t get any better Dannika Dark writes another AMAZING book!!!

I started out with Seven Years, the first in this series, and FELL in absolutely head over heels LOVE with Dannika Dark’s characters, her world she created, and her words. So after I read that book I started reading her Mageri Series since the 2nd book in this series wasn’t out at that time. I read that entire series one right after the other until I had them ALL READ!! I LOVED that series too!! She just has this amazing way of making her characters feel real and her world she created feel real. I feel like I’m in the book not on the outside reading it and that’s my ultimate goal when I’m reading a book. I want to be immersed in the world that has been created for me and be one with the characters that have been created for me. Dannika Dark NEVER fails to deliver.

If you are brand new to her books, this series is classified as Paranormal Romance but it is so much more. It has thrills where you are on the edge of your seat wanting to find out what happens next. It has sad times where I am absolutely BAWLING. It has happy times. It has love and it has sexy time ;) I also find myself laughing out loud when I read her books and let me tell you I’m not one to laugh out loud when reading a book or watching a TV show or movie unless it is absolutely hilarious.

Everytime I read one of her books in this series I think, THIS book is my favorite and THIS couple is my favorite. Then a new book comes out and I’m feeling and thinking those same things AGAIN! I love that these books don’t have any cliff hangers at the end to keep you on edge waiting for the next one. But guess what, the moment you finish it you are DYING for the next one that’s not even released yet!!

This specific book is about the black sheep of the family, aka pack, and the stripper who is a diva lol. So before reading it I was like “ok I’m gonna like it because it’s Dannika but come on, there’s no way I’m gonna fall in love with these characters.” Guess what, I was WRONG!!! This book FINALLY gives us the backstory between “the twins.”

You really MUST read her books. She is an amazing author!!

I think I may have found a new favorite book in this series. It was Six months, but Wheeler and Naya's story completely captivated me and stole my heart.

I knew Naya and Wheelers story would be one hell of a book, but I never expected to fall for Wheeler the way I did. Wheeler proves that there is more than meets the eye and that you should never judge a book by its cover. Or in the case, you should never judge someone by their tattoos. Tattoos don't make the person. Wheeler is smart and loyal to the core. He cares and loves with all of his heart but closed himself off. That is until Naya clawed her way in. She is a beautiful, smart, sexy, and powerful woman. The perfect match for wheeler. They truly bring out the best in eachother. Three House is full of anger and passion. Pain and hurt. And it all comes together for one explosive story. Dannika Dark is the queen of making you love characters you never expected to like and if you haven't read her books, you are truly missing out! I can't wait to see what's next for the Weston Pack!

Holy Smoldering Hotness

I think Naya & Wheeler win the sexiest couple in the series award.
These two were great together. I loved their chemistry, I thought their story was interesting, the pacing in the book was great, and did I mention it was hot as hell????

Yeah, this book is why I can't stop reading this series. These were two characters that I only had a mild interest in when starting the story but they won me over pretty quick and I really enjoyed the layered back stories the author gave them. I was happy to see a couple of reoccurring thorns finally pruned from the series in this book (there's one in every family I tell ya) and seriously, it's super sexy.

Anyway, that's a great big Texas sized YES to book five, moving right on to book six!

Reread 4-6-16
Still love this story, still love these characters. It was nice to read this again, since the first time I didn't catch all the nuanced things happening. Will definitely be reading this again.

Initial read 5-21-15
Unexpectedly, I think this is my second favorite book in the series. I didn't think I'd like reading about these characters but I am happy to admit that I was wrong.

I don't know how many times I can praise this series without being repetitive, but the writing is so great, the characters are even better and the stories are unique and individualized to the characters who are living them.

Strongly recommend.

4.5/5.0
Once again, Ms. Dark completely surprised me. I wasn’t even sure I wanted to read this installment of the Seven series because I really didn’t care for either character that much in the earlier books. Man, was I in for a treat! While Naya is still not my favorite heroine, the story of her and Wheeler was superb!

Learning the story behind Wheeler’s personality is heart-wrenching yet it wraps the reader completely around his character and makes one yearn for a mate so devoted. Kudos to the author for such a nuanced and emotional journey!

There are a few times pages drag just a little when a bit too much space is taken in the mundane descriptions, conversations etc. (those “tag it, cause I’m losing you” times) but the richness of the overall story was so compelling that it keeps one turning those pages, tears and all!
