What if bad guys ruled the world and the good guys were the outlaws?
Deviant doesn’t do friendly. He’s had a hard life and it shows in his behavior. The Outlaw MC of Mars is starting to expand thanks to some tough women who want to change the law. In the government’s eyes, women are only needed for breeding. Deviant is volunteered to train them. What he doesn’t expect is to meet Tage. The handsome man blushes more than a hard spanked butt. And what a fine pair of cheeks he has. Deviant made a promise to himself. Never fall in love. That makes a man vulnerable to hurt, to loss, to become broken. So why does he feel this undeniable attraction to Tage?
Deviant doesn’t do romance or cuddling or any of that other shit. With a covert war against the government going on, the last thing he needs is a weakness.
Will the shy Tage bring the big badass biker to his knees?
I'm a masturbation expert (true story, I'm single) and I write unique stories. If you're looking for a plot that hasn't been done before check out my books. I currently write m/m but one day I'll venture into m/m/f territory. I'm bi-sexual. I love animals and I've always wanted to paint nude men. Feel free to friend me on Facebook or Goodreads.
**I get so many emails from people who are surprised I read hetero when I’m gay. Well, I’m actually bi and yes, I read many genres. Reading to me is an escape. I’m not at work, staring out the window wondering what the sun would feel like on my face. I’m reading about another world, up in space, vampire or shifters, even just another place on this planet. Hetero, gay, bi, whatever. All that matters to me is the effort that was put into a story and how the characters work to entertain me. **
Now for the all important question: WHY, James, WHY?
Why would you do that to Lover and Outlaw?
You see, something BAD happens at the beginning of this story to one of the MCs from Underneath His Armor. I was sure Behavior Problem would focus on setting right the wrong, but it didn't.
It left me hanging!
*stomps feet*
I had a hard time focusing on Deviant and Tage's story because I was so distracted by the tragedy.
I dug Deviant, though. What's not to like? He's a brash, loud motherfucker who kills on the hover bike and fights against injustice.
Also, he has a huge cock.
Deviant and Tage have seemingly nothing in common, but Deviant finds himself wanting to possess the proper, suited Tage (who also fights injustice but in a much more, um, subtle way).
This is Insta Love at its finest, folks.
I can forgive that though, because, hell, this series is set on Mars during a post-apocalyptic, bleak future.
If you find someone who makes your heart beat faster (and your cock throb harder!), you jump NOW and ask question much later.
The sex is hot, the story fast paced. I liked the new female characters. But I want a continuation of Lover and Outlaw's story.
Oh i'm still in haze with the whole Lover thing but BUT I'm hoping James will fix this soon Hmm? :) Please??? Another awesome read in the series. Onto the next.
Another fun and sexy (and stressful) installment to the Outlaw MC series. I love the premise of these books, there is really nothing better that a big ol’ badass with a heart of melty chocolate around the right man. James always manages to create perfect partners, Tage and Deviant are no exception. This couple is a little different than the couples in the previous two books. Deviant is a full member of the biker club, but Tage’s life couldn’t be further from that of the Outlaws. But, just because he isn’t that ‘flavor’ of badass doesn’t mean he’s any less a hero.
Deviant is slightly left of stable, his name is Deviant after all and let’s face it, s’hot. But, his slightly unhinged nature can be a bit of a liability at times and he’s sent away from the clubhouse for a but while they are under heavy (well, heavier than usual) scrutiny. Which leads me to my bitch fest and heartbreak moment. . . . OMFG, what about Lover??? Bad things happen my friends, bad things. I know more is coming and James wouldn’t dare break my heart on purpose, but damn! All I can tell you is, don’t get too comfortable and things don’t always swing the Outlaw’s way.
I loved how Deviant pushed Tage out of his comfort zone and in a more subtle way, how Tage made Deviant fall right out of his. Deviant is definitely not a warm, fuzzy cuddler, but Tage sure makes him wish he were. It slowly starts to show in him though and he’s a little surprised about his feelings, but he didn’t go all alpha denial about it which drives me nutters, but he still stayed in character and believable. Deviant’s favorite thing is to make Tage blush, it turns his crank hard and is just part of his charm that I love.
His gaze reached between my legs I was sporting some morning wood that would make a whore wince. “Dear God,” Tage muttered, staring at my bared junk. I grinned. “Yeah, they broke the mold with my dick.” His cheeks blushed.
So many great blushing moments.
There is a consistency in James’ books that I really appreciate, he writes women really well. We all have read enough MM to be familiar with the plethora of stereotypical female characters that can make this reader embarrassed for her gender. Not so with James’ characters and when there is a female character she reads ‘real’ and I for one, appreciate it.
I can’t have a COX review without a favorite quote:
Romeo pulled away and then the long white ribbons of cum erupted from the prospect’s slit. It was like liquid, cloudy confetti.
The MC’s do know how to party.
And . . .
Tage was too tight for just spit and courage.
See what a sweetheart Deviant is?
If you haven’t been part of the Outlaw MC journey yet, I highly suggest you join in. AND to celebrate the recent release of With Tongue and Teeth (Outlaw MC #4), James has been kind and generous enough to offer up a book from his back list. Just leave us a comment with your contact information and you’ll get a chance to win! We’ll draw a lucky reader on May 18th.
I’m thisclose to declaring Deviant as my favorite character in this series. It’s difficult to unseat the Prez, but still.
Now, Tage, he’s an intriguing fellow. He’s direct and polite, not an easy combination to pull off. He does, though, and Deviant can find no defense against the gentle and unintentional onslaught. I know, right? I’m smiling as I write this.
I liked watching Deviant and Tage circling around each other, trying to work out this “thing” between them. This book and series is definitely erotica but it’s erotica set within a rather well built world inhabited by characters that force you to pay attention and invest your time and emotion.
I also see improvement in the writing here. Sentence structure, pacing, and the dialogue hold a comfortable and natural flow, with a few exceptions. The humor is well placed and fits the characters and their individual personalities. This isn’t necessarily new, Cox’s humor is in all of his stories that I’ve read so far, but it’s utilized well in this story.
The stakes are even higher at this point in the ongoing struggle to topple the oppressive government on Mars. The club isn’t only dealing with a corrupt, deplorable system. It might not have seemed possible, but things are even more personal now.
Deviant and Tage, I’m telling ya, such a wonderfully interesting pairing. Deviant is carrying around a healthy dose of imperfections, and some of his thoughts are… nonsensical. However, his motives are unquestionable. He also sees Tage for who he really is. Tage has an entirely different set of challenges and is struggling to maintain true to himself underneath the weight of them all. He’s strong, emotionally and mentally. He’s also becoming more and more the kryptonite against which Deviant has no protection.
Listen, this joint is screamingly steamy, so hot it’ll have you squirming. And then, just when you think you can’t take anymore, Cox drops some romance on your arse:
Tage had this shy smile on his face. He reached out and touched my chest. More pointedly, the tattoo over my heart. It read Lily. I got it my first day in prison. Tage traced the letters with his fingers, so gentle it almost felt like a soft wind.
Yes. That’s Deviant. And as if that wasn’t enough, said Deviant is experiencing a major first..
I swallowed hard. A lump in my throat. Why couldn’t I tear myself away from him?
Deviant and Tage have such potential as a couple: strong, humorous, trusting of one another, determined, and a good match overall. I so enjoyed getting part of this overarching story from Deviant’s point of view, along with an undeniable pull from Tage.
I might have possibly had to quell a squeal at the end of this story. Also, it’s imperative that I found out what happens next.
Deviant....what a foul-mouthed, bad tempered but let's not forget hot Viking of a biker in the Outlaw MC of Mars series. Foul-mouthed...well he just likes dropping the f-bomb..as in every other word, bad tempered...well, his parents were killed in a hover crash and his sister Lily was sold and supposedly killed by her buyer, so I would have thought that was enough to make ANYONE lose their cool (see, on Mars women are no better than chattel, there to be used as breeding machines, they have no rights..nothing, and dark-skinned men are used as slaves. What a charming place!!), so when Danny aka Deviant finally tracks down Tithe, his sister's buyer, he kills him and is sent to Earth, to spend 8 years in jail on the prison planet (yes, Earth is a prison planet. Everyone lives on Mars).
The Outlaw MC, and their underground counterpart, Justice and his men, are fighting injustice and campaigning for a better (ie not corrupt) government on Mars. They are fed up with the fact that practically everything is banned...drink, drugs, kinky sex, homosexuality, oh and let's not forget smoking (filthy habit anyhoo)...of course, the Outlaw MC does ALL of these things and more, and are constantly butting their heads against the 'peacekeepers', who are nothing more than thugs in official uniforms.
Outlaw's soul-mate Lover has accepted a prison term on Earth rather than betray the others involved in the blowing up of a government facility in the last story, so Outlaw is feeling pretty suicidal for most of this book. To keep him occupied, they dream up a plan to destroy the 'breeding house', which is where the government holds all the sows, sorry women, until they do what they're supposed to do and give birth. Justice and his gang are involved as well as someone called Tage, who is a rich guy with a huge house and is looking to help bring the government down. Tage hides women in his house and then helps them get to the Amazons, a gang of women fighting the good fight, and when Deviant is ordered (!!) to teach Tage and the women how to ride hover bikes and shoot, he grumpily goes along with the plan, never suspecting what he'll discover when he's there.
I think this is the best of the series so far, but I've deducted half a star because the story is absolutely riddled with errors..typos, spelling and grammatical stuff, even more than the other stories in the series. I think your editor needs a good kick up the backside James, sorry, and your work needs proofreading before uploading on-line (you have my email addy, nudge, nudge..).
Deviant like the rest of The Outlaw MC of Mars has had a difficult life, he lost his parents then had his sister dragged from his arms, then he was pushed into the foster care system. He eventually found the man who bought his sister and killed him, doing eight years on earth for his crime now he's trying to bring down the corrupt system along with the rest of the Outlaws and the Underground MC. Up until now it's been men only fighting but now women are getting on board they just need a little help and training and that's where Deviant comes in. Deviant's not happy at first, he wants to be with his MC not stuck in a house training women but then there is a distraction in the form of Tage. There's a huge surprise at the beginning of this book and it took me a while to get my head round that, I mean I expected something like this after what happened last time but I thought....anyway it doesn't matter what I though but it started this book off well. There's plenty of sex as always but there's more story to this one and it's definitely moving forward.
Awe….Deviant has a heart. So you mean that rough and tough language is just a front???
It was a nice change of pass to have a little more of a “story” with this installment. Although it’s a M/M read, it was still nice that the author “softened” it up a little with bringing Lily, Deviant’s sister into the mix.
It’s funny, I usually like some detail and anticipation, but every time I read this author, I really like the fact that he’s straight forward and to the point. I guess you have to be when writing a novella.
So let me guess…who’s next??? Mayheim? Romeo? Enquiring minds want to know….
*I was given a copy of this book as a gift from The JeepDiva in exchange for an honest review.
Behavior Problem tells the story of Deviant, the beast, as I thought of him while I was reading. With a sister who became lost to him, his temper is pointed at anyone who dares mistreat a woman. That gets him into some hot water with the club, and Outlaw sends him off to one of their contacts to act as a bodyguard for women who have escaped and to teach them how to ride their Hover Bikes. The women want to start their own illegal MC, which they aptly name the Amazons. There Deviant meets Tage, the extremely well dressed, well spoken, man who has helped to free the women. The synopsis of this one is pretty spot on, because it’s about learning that love isn’t weakness.
This one was just as good as the first one. The story definitely ups the ante in terms of the club’s endgame, which is saving the citizens from Wexmen. It also focuses more on the ‘women for breeding’ aspect of the world.
I think my favorite aspect of this installment, however, was Tage. I know I mentioned that in Chaos Unchained I liked goofy Beau, but Tage trumps him. Tage is white collar, prudish, and shy. Which makes for an interesting recipe when pared with the boys of the MC who are anything BUT prudish. I chuckled along with Deviant every time he made the poor guy blush, which was just about all the time.
And, the best part, we got a tiny little happy ending in this one which was great. Unfortunately that happy ending was balanced with the story taking a turn for the worst for Outlaw MC‘s heart, Knox and Liam.
Re-read 10/8/19. Reduced to 3.5. Still liked it but not as much as the first time. Couple is still cute, though!
--------------------
LOVED this one! I know people are upset about what happened to Lover in Book 2, but I trust that the author will fix that so it didn't affect my rating. On to this book's couple - Tage and Deviant. Lots to love here. Deviant is in dire need of anger management and comes off as a bit of an a-hole at the beginning, but we get a lot of insight into why he is the way he is, and he never goes overboard to the point where you dislike him. Tage is cute and shy, comes from money, but is against the human rights violations perpetrated by the government and wants to help.
The author does lots of things well here - the story is longer so the characters are much more fleshed out and three dimensional. The back stories are complex and well done. The sex scenes are hot, while still managing to be tender, and the one involving four people is clear, and easy to follow, without being clinical. Most importantly, it is scorching! I knew where everyone was and what they were doing, without feeling like I was reading a step by step manual. Even though the pacing is quick, the author manages to save this story from the dreaded insta-love feel. I didn't really question how the MCs could be in love so quickly. It felt right. Even the love declarations at the end are cute and funny, and made me smile, instead of being corny and groan worthy. The reunion between Deviant and someone very special to him goes a long way in humanizing him, and is very well done.
Editing took a small hit with this book, and I had to re-read a few things because of missing or incorrect words. Still, overall, it was pretty good.
This was my fave of the series so far. I got everything I wanted out of this book. I know others will disagree because of Lover, but I felt the angst of what happened to him added to the depth of this book, gave more meaning to Outlaw's conversations with Deviant, and more urgency to the fight. Like I said, I trust that the author will fix that situation soon.
4.5*
Now, on to Justice's story!! Please be good. Please be good.
Did I already say how much I'm loving this book series? If I haven't I'm saying it here and now. They are providing tongue-in-cheek humor and allowing me to suspend disbelief for an hour or so while I get transported to Mars with an MC load of sexy bikers fighting to free humans from an oppressive regime.
If you're looking for flowery prose, a finely-tuned plot and general up-your-ass navel-gazing (I'm saying it the way the characters would) fiction, well you better walk on by. These books contain foul-mouthed, ass-kicking, in-your-face macho men who are not afraid to get down and dirty. It's almost like watching Mel Brooks movies where he lampoons well known tropes. Well, I think this author lampoons biker romance brilliantly but still keeps it intensely sexy.
I don't know if I have a favourite Outlaw MC character yet, but Deviant comes close to being it for me. I will have to read the rest of the books in the series to decide though. This story is told entirely from his POV which makes a change from the previous two books. But I don't think you miss anything as a reader because I came to understand Tage just as much as I understood Deviant from their actions and dialogues.
Deviant and Tage are such opposites but it turns out they have more in common when a couple of twists are unravelled. Deviant was the last person willing to give his heart to anyone. I loved the way love crept up on him unawares. The declaration he made in 'church' as they were preparing for a mission totally had me grinning from ear to ear.
Something bad happens to one of the MC members. I won't give you spoilers but you can be sure Outlaw is not a happy bunny. Also there's a new female MC forming. So Wexman and his regime are going to fall soon I hope. This book doesn't disappoint and I should mention there's a lot of coffee-spilling. LOL. I'm looking forward to more.
4.5 Lovebites

Welcome to the third installment in the Outlaw MC series. I’m really enjoying this new series. In this installment we move to Deviant’s story.
Deviant is described as a big, strawberry blond, tatted-up, rough and tough biker. He doesn’t do love and hasn’t since his sister was killed by her “owner”. When Deviant killed the owner for what he had done, he did eight long years in jail on Earth. As we know from Chaos’ story in Book One, the jail on Earth isn’t a pleasant place.
Now Deviant has settled into the MC and is happy with his life. That is all about to go to hell. A man and a woman show up at the MC to meet with Outlaw, and it quickly becomes apparent that the woman isn’t any common slave and the man isn’t a slave holder. They are from a group of women that the man, Tage, has been buying or are rescued runaways. The women want their own affiliated bike club and they want Outlaw MC to train them so that they can join Outlaw against the government to bring the government down.
When Deviant is assigned to Tage’s house to help with the women, he figures it will be a day or two and done. Although he has been admiring Tage’s cute little ass, he is more into the “fuck them and leave them” routine, and a one night stand could screw up the alliance they are building.
I enjoyed learning more about Deviant and the story of his sister Lily, and pretty much everything else in this book. I recommend you give it a read, but beware, you might be hooked! I also recommend starting from Book One and reading all three of the books in this series so far.

Behavior Problem is book three in the Outlaw MC series and this series gets better with each book. We are at the point now where the books should be read in order, but the prologue will offer a quick overview of the larger plot. Deviant has a background filled with some serious issues going on. He is filled with wounds that won’t heal and his eight years in prison have only made him angrier. Deviant has a hard hitting style and prefers to live life on his own terms. He has little patience and the first time he sees Tage, although he thinks the man is attractive, he just can’t be bothered with him.
There is a great contrast between the wild style of Deviant and the more polished persona of Tage. This leads to some entertaining as well as scorching interactions and there is plenty of lust and insta-love going on here. Deviant does manage to have his own brand of sweet talk and when he is with Tage his thoughts run to, “The way he chanted my name was like a fucking wish on a shooting star.” One of things that I am really enjoying about this series is the way Cox has captured these men. They are hard core, alpha men on a mission to change society. Yet, Cox gives each of them a subtle amount of tenderness and personal insight in private, which offers a great balance for the characters.
With the battle to overthrow the corrupt government of Mars heating up as the background, it's also beginning to get more personal. The peacekeepers have found proof of Lover's participation in a bombing, and before the MC can free him, he's already on his way to fifteen years in prison on Earth. Outlaw is devastated, and swears to speed up their plans so they can free Lover.
Deviant is a hardcore biker who does;t have a friendly bone in his body. After losing everyone he ever loved, who can blame him? But then Outlaw sends him on a mission to train some women who have escaped their owners and want to start their own MC (aptly named Amazon MC), so they can help end the cruel oppression. When Deviant has to closely work with Tage, the rich man who has harbored the female refugees, he discovers more than he expected. Lust is all he wants to feel, but Tage works his way into Deviants heart faster than expected.
If you like tough men fighting a tough war, and if you're looking for an entertaining story about "tough man meets sweet guy", and if you're a fan of action-packed stories hiding a rough-and-tumble romance deep inside, then you might like this novella.

I think I have found my favorite in this amazing series!!!! Each book is getting hotter, more touching in some kind of romantic feely ways and a lot more Action is coming, too! I so love this series and MC and can't get enough. What caught me on this book the instant I started reading it, was Deviant. He is just a rough tough guy that hasn't found the real one thing that would get him head over heals, if he wants it or not. And shy sweet Tage, I fall in love the second time in this book. At first you think "Will this ever work out between them?"...well, I won't say anything that could spoil. But James, to see them....AWESOME!! And the scene with Liam at the clubhouse or Lily...you got me in tears there!! This book really has it all: some rough or lean hot men, romantic aspects, a lot of action and surprises and damn sexy scenes that will make you blush, just the way Deviant likes it! I can't wait to read on and I am really hoping that time flies by so easily I will get the next installment before my nails are vanished from biting them in longing for the next "Cox" to get in my greedy hands! Love you, James, and your great books!
While reading the first two Outlaw MC books, we got a glimpse of Deviant. Got to kind of see how he ticked..among other things. *W* So I was very anxious to read his story. To watch him fall for someone. I knew it would scare the cr*p out of him and I SO looked forward to it. When he showed that he cared for Tage, I wanted to start sing- songing "Deviant has a boyfriend..Deviant has a boyfriend". However I know, had I done that somehow he would have come right off the page and say to me " WTF did you just say?" So I kept it to myself. I am not stupid..lol This telling of Deviant's life, struggles and pain was so touching. I was so happy for him when things started to turn good in his personal life. I also enjoyed Tage and Deviant's sexy time, I will very clearly admit. *W* What grabbed me by the heart strings though and just made this book for me, was the emotion he showed to his sister and then Tage. James once again did a wonderful job and got to me like he always seems to.I highly recommend this book.

Meet Deviant. Again. We've seem him earlier in the series. He's a quiet, but deadly kind of biker. Grunts. Doesn't smile. Glares. My kind of bad guy. His MC is on a mission to rid their planetary world of the bad guys who are supposed to be the good guys. These bad guys are mean and awful to women and males of color. The MC wants to live in a world where everyone has the right to be/exist without being tortured/persecuted.
In this particular story line, a citizen - Tage - approaches the MC for help. He's been hiding out women who were previously abducted for the purposes of breeding (after all - that's all the government types think that they are good for).
Tage is the opposite of Deviant. Polite. Smiles. Has a ton of legitimate money (inheritance).
When the MC decides to help - it's all Deviant and Tage.
Oh, James...you make me so happy. I love your books. They're hot and sexy, but they're actually really great stories. Never in a million years would I string the words "Bikers In Space" together in a sentence, but wow. My suspended belief has been good to me, thank you very much!
I'm not going to rehash the story because the blurb does a fine job of that. I AM going to say that Deviant and Tage have an awesome chemistry, and they're so perfect together. They seem to be complete opposites, but you know what they say about opposites. When they do come together, it's nuclear and extremely erotic. Mr. Cox certainly has a way with a sex scene.
I highly recommend this one. It needs to be read to truly appreciate the awesomeness.
5 'I'm hooked' stars. I'm loving this series more and more with each book. Deviant is damn hot in his lethal, alpha way with his huge fucking cock that he knows how to use so well, and Tage oh so sweet, they are perfect together. Loved their story but I am completely mindfucked over Liam, I need it all to work out and am desperate for Liam and Knox to have their HEA. FUCKING DESPERATE!!! Hopefully something happens in the next one, pleeeease.
The descriptions are fantastic. I could really see this city on mars the author created. There are explosions, dirty fights, bikers, bad guys, good guys, ridiculously hot sex scenes with more than two men, Behavior Problem has it all!
Falling even more in love with this series. Action, romance, lost family found. Truly amazing, makes you want to not put the book down and keep reading til the end.
Wow! The start of this story almost had me in tears then along came Deviant and Tage and holy crap they were so hot together, I'm thinking Deviant may be my favourite Outlaw :)
This was my favorite so far in this series. Things are heating up in the MC Club's war against the government. The guys are continuing their quest to stop the breeding rings and this was the first book where we got a closer look at what happens to women in this society. We also got the addition of some of the women as characters which I enjoyed. I really like this couple. This was the first pairing between an outlaw and a regular member of society. Loved the rough around the edges Deviant as he meets and falls for sweet, rich boy Tage. I always enjoy watching an innocent boy get all corrupted by a bad boy. Some group sex and some spankings were the perfect recipe for dirty-ing up the good boy. Speaking of good boys and spankings.....the author was not a good boy in this book and deserves a spanking of his own (and not in a fun way) for what he has happen in the beginning of this book. (I may have actually yelled "NOOOOOOO" at my Kindle.) Since there are quite a few more books in this series I'm going to keep reading because 1.)I have faith the author is going to fix this and 2.) I'm a perv and these books are damn hot! :D
Love love love this MC series by James Cox. It is very unique as it takes place on Mars. So this is book 3. Deviant is by far the roughest I think we have met of the Outlaw MC. So of course that makes the sexy bad boy a shoe in for my favorite! We all know how much I love a sexy, broody, tatted up bad boy that rides a cycle or in Deviant's case a hoverbike. He is not good at taking orders but he will stand by his President and take care of his club. After the one of the clubs patch members gets arrested, none other then the love of Outlaws life, plans get moved up. A new development occurs when Tage walks into the bar with a female who claims to want to help. Can this group organize an uprising? Will Deviant find what he has been looking for? Surprises are around every corner and our favorite peace officer we love to hate is doing his best to annoy us, Daisy...ahem...Day-Si is of course as colorful as usual. James Cox never fails to give us an amazing story that flows so nicely and smoking hot sex scenes you close your eyes to and visualize in the middle of reading. The man is a genius! A must read series!
