I thought the book was pretty decent. I didn't love it and I didn't hate it.

Caitlin's (Cat) cousin Marcy bought two ghosts off ebay for $6000! Yup, I guess that is the thing to do these days. Cat, of course, thought Marcy had flipped her lid, but Marcy's parents are rich and she can blow money on anything. When they get the box it looks a little beat up. There are two tubes inside of the box and one is broken. Marcy is livid, but she opens the other one and Cat gets a kind of burning in her arms and she smells spices in the air. Marcy doesn't feel a thing and stomps off to contact the guy to get her money back, which she does by the way.

Later on Caitlin sees the ghost of Liam O'Reilly in the kitchen and about has a coronary. For reasons unknown, the two of them are connected together so they have to be close to each other at all times.

They have some kind of weird love thing going on even though they can't touch and have only known each other for a short time. Meanwhile, Cat starts dating a nice guy named Patrick in the real world. Best of both worlds?

Liam tells Cat the other ghost in the bottle was his sister Anna and that he really needed to find her. Anna told Liam she was going back to look for her long lost love. Anna died in a tragic accident on her wedding day to William in 1866. Liam was all upset and got shot in the process, so they died at the same time, but instead of going into the light Anna went searching for William and Liam stayed with her.

Cat and Liam take a trip to where they had the historic buildings from that era. They found Anna's ghost and William's ghost, there was also an evil entity there that was keeping them apart.

In the end, Cat and Liam find out who the other ghost is and get them all together to go into the light. But.... and there is always a but :) something totally unexpected happened a few months later. I wonder what it could be? Fin

If you’ve been here long enough, you’ll know I’ll always be straight with you on what I think about a book, so we are gonna be straight right off the bat. At the point of writing this, I have not finished this book, nor do I have any plans too.

Lets run through just a few issues, in the fastest way that won’t bore you to death.

Caitlin is a character I didn’t warm too. She has a snobbish essence about her, and Cox is trying way to hard to make her a “girly girl who isn’t girly.”
Liams whole appearance doesn’t seem to have any affect on Caitlin for more than 2.5 seconds, which frankly is just unbelievable.
Their relationship is weird but mainly overly frustrating. They literally never stop talking about how attracted their are to each other, neither out loud or in internal monologue. It gets redundant.
Also the relationship is creepy because you know…he’s dead and Caitlin makes progressively weird comments about his body etc.
The influx of random male characters for the soul purpose of making Liam jealous is ridiculous. I dislike love triangles at the best of times, but this was over the top with the jealously rating.
There are some really crappy messages in this book in the forms of but not limited to -
Caitlin getting insulted when Liam compliments her intelligence, saying it isn’t cool to be smart.
A lot of “You’re not like other girls” narrative. Which include zingers like “You only pretend to be ditsy but I can see the real you.” Gag me.
There is loads of random filler lines that completely take away from the moment and really just make it look like Cox is trying to meet a word count.
Liam is constantly described as being sad, having sad eyes, looking sad or distant. There is one part of the book where the same description of him was used twice within five lines. 5 lines! He’s sad. I get it!
Continuity errors come with Liam being able to move through walls, get hit by cars and go right through them, and dissipate when people walk through him, but he is physically viable enough to open doors, and pick up things. He can even physically hurt people.
Over half way through the book and I still haven’t gotten to any action. Anna has only appeared through Liam going to talk to her, and seemly there is no mystery to be solved since Liam can just find everyone he needs to find without any effort at all, except for of course the bad guy. And frankly I’d rather not find out who they are if it means having to sit through more “We can, we can’t. But you’re so attractive!” mumbling from Caitlin and Liam.

I think Ghost for Sale had great potential if it had been approached without the unnecessary love story, the weird misogynistic tones scattered through out, and frankly better writing.

Would I recommend this book? No.

Until next time!

“Ghost for Sale” is a charming YA paranormal read. It was funny to think about ghosts being sold over eBay and Marcy wanting a refund when she was disappointed. When the order arrived, one tube was broken, and one appeared empty. My first thought was, 'what were you thinking', until the roommate, Caitlin, saw a ghost. It was a good-looking ghost from the late 1800s that Caitlin kept secret from her cousin, Marcy. It was fun seeing the ghost, Liam’s reactions to the modern woman and all the technology, and how well he adapted. The broken tube was his twin sister, and then Caitlin and Liam worked together in an attempt to reunite the sister with the man she loved. The ending surprised me because I expected this to go a different way, but I like how it ended. This is a sweet paranormal love story with a twist that I thoroughly enjoyed!

So enjoyable!

I am an avid follower and also admire the work of Sandra Cox. I have so enjoyed her Westerns and by chance ran onto "Ghost for Sale". What a delightful find. I chuckled and gasped at the antics of our protagonist and her sidekick. (No spoilers) Sandra introduced the supporting actors at the right moments in perfect harmony with the storyline. I continued to ask myself "how will she solve the dilemma?" I should have realized she had a card up her sleeve to make the perfect ending! Naturally she did. That is Sandra's way. I highly recommend this novel and her other work as well.

I found myself intrigued by this story line--buying ghosts on eBay? What a concept. When Caitlin's cousin orders two ghosts on eBay, one never arrives, but the other one connects with Caitlin (Cat). Through various events, it comes out that Liam, the ghost, is the twin brother of a girl who died on her wedding day and is desperately trying to find her one true love, which leaves a mystery to solve. There are a lot of interesting and creative elements to the story that are fun.

Cat isn't a consistent character. She's a virgin, yet she purposely dresses provocatively, especially on first dates, which leads to mixed signals. She also claims to be falling in love with Liam, but she's very flirty with another man in his presence--multiple times. Cat also comes across as being very spoiled and entitled. I love it when she starts climbing out of her self-absorbed world.

On the other hand, Liam is old for his age, having grown up in a different era. So much in the world is new, but he's very adaptable, committed, a true gentleman, and loyal. I liked his character and enjoyed watching him quickly figure our way of life out.

I enjoy a story that unfolds before my eyes, instead of just informing me of events and there were glimpses of showing here, but most of it is telling. That said, I did enjoy the moments with mystery and action and enjoyed the way the characters went about solving things. The ending is great!

Content: This book is technically clean (not squeaky clean), as no sexual events occur, but only moderately, as there's a lot of innuendo--talk of sex, being a virgin (or not), and other things that have to do with these two points; some mild violence; a fair amount of seances, Ouija boards, evil spirits, etc; moderate swearing.

I thought this was a fun read with a great premise. The whole idea of ghosts being bought off eBay intrigued the heck out of me, and I was not disappointed.

Caitlin’s cousin Marcy buys the ghosts, but when the package arrives one of the tubes that contains the specters is broken. Marcy opens the other, sees nothing, and thinks she’s been cheated. Meanwhile, Caitlin is instantly aware of a presence in the room…that of Liam O’Reilly.

Liam is nineteen, highly attractive, and extremely courtly in his mannerisms and beliefs on how a gentleman treats a lady. His life was cut short in 1866 on what should have been his twin sister’s wedding day. Sadly, Anna died that day as well (she was the ghost in the other tube) and is caught in a limbo, separated from her fiancé, William.

The story revolves around Caitlin and Liam trying to reunite Anna and William so they can move on to the afterlife. The more time Liam and Caitlin spend together, however, they realize they too have fallen in love….an ill-fated romance that seemingly can never be.

I found the story fun, sweet, and heart-tugging, depending upon the moment, and was quite worried how the author was going to wrap things at the end. I particularly adored Liam. His old-fashioned values and his reaction to many twenty-fist century items and attitudes was delightful. This is a wonderful YA read, but also great for anyone who likes a whimsical tale full of romance with paranormal twists.

A story I definitely plan to read over again!

I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I first read the synopsis above. Bought two ghosts off of eBay? It seemed far fetched and silly but I decided to give it a go anyway and I am really glad I did because it was a great read. 4 out of 5 stars

I loved Caitlin and Liam's characters! They had a great dynamic and chemistry. I liked how they both evolved and grew becoming more confident and coming into their own. Caitlin became more self assured. Liam was fun because he was a fish out of water finding himself pulled into a different century with new technology, social mores, and (of course) the fact that he is a ghost.

There is plenty of fun, romance, tears, and mystery to keep you interested from the first page to the last. Definitely recommend it to anyone who loves YA paranormal romance!

This story deals with Caitlin King who is surprised to find out her shopaholic cousin bought two ghosts off of eBay. At first she thinks her cousin was misled and fooled. But she can’t ignore the truth when she starts seeing Liam O’Reilly, who’s been dead for over a hundred years. She finds him fascinating and the more time Caitlin spends with him, the closer they become. However, they are star crossed partners because no matter how much they long for each other, there’s just no future with a guy who's already stopped breathing years ago.

I had mixed feelings when I read the summary describing the plot of this book. On one hand it seemed creative but on the other hand maybe to unlikely. Who ever heard of buying a ghost off eBay? Should I read it or should I not? However, I decided to check it out which was a good move as I enjoyed it-maybe even more than I initially thought I would. I mostly loved the two main characters Caitlin and Liam. Their interaction, connection and chemistry is what pulled me into the book and kept me reading. They made me laugh and their interaction and intensity reminded me what it felt to be in love for the first time. I enjoyed the book and I do recommend it.

Thank you so much to Kensington Books and Netgallery for sending me an ARC copy for review.

Rating – 8.5/10

I’m a little surprised how much I liked this book. Not only was this book funny and by funny I mean I literally laughed at loud but also made me emotional from beginning to end.

The one thing I can think of that truly bothered me was the beginning. I did not like how fast paced the intro was, to many things went on leaving me confused and making me backtrack to understand a little better.

The thing that surprised me the most was the ending, I honestly thought Caitlin was going to end up with Patrick and when I finished and found out who she did end up with (not going to mention because of spoilers) I was so so so so happy, like smiling and fangirling like an idiot happy, if you need an example –

Would I recommend it? Yess, I’m very glad I got the chance to read this and would recommend to anyone who likes a paranormal yet humorous romance story.

Big thanks to Lyrical Press and NetGalley for an ARC copy for review.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. It was humorous, with a little bit of mystery and detective skills on the side, along with cute romance. Of course it has the paranormal aspect with ghosts, both good and bad spirits, but I like how Sandra put her own spin on things. I definitely recommend this YA novel with it's likable characters and fun and unique storyline.

Caitlin is a great main character, who is smart, grounded and quick witted. I really liked having her voice guide the story. This is my second book that I have read where the main guy is a good old fashioned gentleman. Yes, Liam is from a different time, but I love seeing that because is quite swoon worthy indeed. Now with the relationship between Liam and Caitlin, I found it both sweet and funny, especially with how they met. It was unexpected to say the least, though the ending made me happy with how everything turned out. It makes for new beginnings and second chances.

I loved the quirky nature of this story An odd little book that dances the fine line between humour and the paranormal romance. Although the narration lacked in sophistication at times, it more than made up for it in originality. This title is probably more New Adult than Young Adult. A cracking good read.

Fun, Lighthearted, Whimsical!

Some the oddest things have been sold on eBay, like air from a Kanye concert, a lucky grilled-cheese sandwich with the image of the Virgin Mary, and Britney Spears’s chewed gum. So when a friend recommended Sandra Cox’s story, “Ghost for Sale,” I knew I had to grab it and find out for myself what it's like to buy an utterly ridiculous item, like a ghost!

I recently took a 15-hour road trip and needed something to whisk me away from the monotony of the drive and so my journey with Caitlin and her roommate cousin, Marcy, began. Marcy comes from money, has no problem spending it frivolously, and orders a ghost from eBay. Two, in fact. When they arrive and Marcy isn’t able to see them, she feels she’s been taken for a ride. However, Caitlin is able to see not two ghosts, but rather a single ghost, Liam. She keeps “her” ghost a secret from everyone, including her cousin.

I don’t want to spoil this adorable story by giving away too much, I much rather enjoy being surprised at every turn while reading it. So I’ll say that I absolutely loved it! I was smiling through most of this fantastic book, though not having to drive while doing my favorite thing in the world – reading a great book - also led to much happiness. The story is upbeat, and though there is a mystery to be solved, a murder, and suspense, it’s all done in a delightful writing style that kept me chomping for more. The only time my smile waned was when my husband interrupted my reading to ask me to navigate our journey. Once done, I was happily back in Ms. Cox’s world and spellbound again.

Ghost for Sale made a long journey fly! And if you enjoy something a little unorthodox, don't mind the muscles around your mouth getting sore from smiling, have an arduous journey ahead of you, or just need a little pick-me-up, then this is the book for you. It’s just plain fun!

A modern-day Ghost and Mrs. Muir
Ghost for Sale is a totally fun Young Adult updated take on the Ghost and Mrs. Muir with a touch of Time Travel. Caitlin accidently makes contact with a ghost that was bought on eBay by her cousin and begins an adventure that includes a star-crossed relationship. Caitlin is a typical teen on her way to college trying to keep up with her wealthier cousin, juggle boyfriends, while trying to help a ghost from the mid-1800s who is stuck between amazed with technological advances and shocked over Caitlin’s behavior that includes kissing on dates.
Liam, the ghost, recognizes he is out of place with his appearance, but he is literally between Earth and Heaven. Although he is quite taken by his circumstances, the family and life he had in the 1800s is still very important to him. He accepts Caitlin’s help in bring closure to his former life. The more help he receives the more complicated the friendship becomes as they get closer to the solution. Sometimes doing what is right, requires the greatest personal sacrifices.
I hope Ms. Cox continues her theme of eBay ghost purchases, because it is a fun concept that could be continued in a series.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Confession. I got about 30% through this book and didn’t think I could finish. Then, I realized I could use the text to speech feature on my Kindle and listen to the book at work. Multi-tasking at its finest. If not for text to speech, I probably would have quit this book.

When I saw Ghost for Sale on NetGalley I had to read it. I’m a huge fan of Meg Cabot’s Mediator series, about a girl who can see, hear, and touch ghosts. In Mediator, the heroine moves into an old house with her family and discovers a ghost from the 1800’s living in her bedroom. The romance is a slow build throughout the series and the characters have more to their lives than just thinking about how hot the other is. Like, mediating ghosts and helping them cross to the afterlife.

While Ghost for Sale starts out great, with our heroine Caitlin’s cousin/roommate, Marcy, receiving two test tubes in the mail, supposedly containing ghosts, and upon opening said test tubes only Caitlin can see said ghost. From there, it goes downhill.

For starters, despite being told multiple times that Caitlin’s cousin Marcy is so beautiful and rich and all the guy want her, every single male in the book asks Caitlin out. In the beginning, in the club, she dances with and is asked out by two guys, minutes apart, if that. She gets hit on by a cop who pulls her over. Don’t even get me started on the “not really her boyfriend” guy who dates her, while seeing other girls because he “has needs” and Caitlin won’t sleep with him. It was downright unbelievable that the author couldn’t add in a single male character who didn’t fall all over himself for Caitlin.

Caitlin herself was completely impossible to relate to. See previous paragraph, then add in how shallow she acts. One guy actually tells her something along the lines of “you act ditzy, but I know you’re actually very smart” – how??? How does he know this because she acts like an idiot for 98% of the book. As stated before, we’re told multiple times how beautiful and rich Marcy is, and how Caitlin’s family doesn’t have money like them, yet her parents can afford to buy her a custom pink VW Bug for her birthday? Maybe she’s not as well off as Marcy, but it was irritating to be led to believe she’s not rich when she is.

Then, let’s talk about clothes and coffee. On second thought, let’s not. It felt as though every other page Caitlin was drinking coffee or thinking about coffee or her ghost, Liam, was bringing her coffee. Every time she changed clothes we had to hear what she was wearing, down to her jewelry and nail polish choice. As well as every other character. I DON’T CARE WHAT YOU’RE WEARING! If it’s not relevant to the story, and doesn’t drive the plot forwards, why waste my time?

Speaking of the story, after the promising opening, it slowed. It didn’t pick up again until almost halfway through. The beginning was us being told how much Caitlin loves Liam despite him making sexist comments and basically kind of being a jerk in my opinion. All while she’s dating this AMAZING guy she met in the club, Patrick, who was sweet, kind, caring, fun and most importantly, ALIVE.

I don’t want to give the whole story away, so I’ll be vague here. Basically, everything is tied up all pretty with a bow with our heroine basically having to do nothing at all, things just fell into place. The “villain” backed down in about two seconds. And Caitlin reacted like Bella in Twilight when Edward left her. At least Bella had the excuse of having had an intense relationship with Edward, whereas Caitlin knew Liam about a week. She was a complete drama queen and I never bought the romance for one second.

The ending…. Let’s just say there’s suspense of belief in fiction, and then there’s scoffing at the absurdity of what the author wants us to believe.

In all, I feel Cox has potential as an author, but this story didn’t work. There wasn’t enough of a plot to work with – it actually felt like most of the beginning was added as filler to make the book longer—and though she tried to build a romance between Caitlin and Liam, it just didn’t work. I didn’t believe it. When the characters act one way and the other characters don’t react reasonably, it just doesn’t work for me.

Ultimately, I’d say skip this one. If another book by this author appears on NetGalley I’d give it a shot, but I won’t expect much.

I received a free copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Caitlin King finds herself in a rather bizarre situation in the middle of her last summer before college. Her cousin Marcy has bought two ghosts off of eBay - you gotta love how you can get pretty much anything on the Internet today - but she seems to have been scammed. Or so the girls thought. Surely an attractive guy who suddenly appears in Caitlin's kitchen can't be a ghost..?
Except that he is - his name is Liam O'Reilly, he is a very handsome 19-year-old guy who's been dead for over a hundred years and has his own ideas about women and society in general. Caitlin is, however, really attracted to him, but the problem is that he's not only dead and can't move on, but his twin sister can't move on either. In order to help both of them, Caitlin must find the ghost of Anna's fiance Will, but an evil spirit is preventing Liam, Anna and Will from moving on. Will Caitlin be able to solve the mystery and will she herself ever be able to move on from the handsome Liam? And how long can she keep this a secret from her friends, family and potential suitors?

This is, first and foremost, a paranormal romance, and despite the title, it doesn't feature any ghostly brothels (imagine my disappointment - just kidding!). It features a boy meets girl scenario, except the boy is dead and has old-fashioned ideas and a twin sister stuck in limbo. In other words, this is a paranormal YA romance. I must admit that these types of books aren't usually my cup of tea and the only reason I requested it from Netgalley was the really pretty cover. It would have been a very good paranormal romance if there weren't too many unnecessary details, like Caitlin's numerous suitors, which seem to appear out of nowhere, despite her never being attracted to anyone before, until she met Liam. I can understand a demisexual character, but I don't love characters who think they're better than everyone else because they don't engage in casual romantic/sexual encounters. Caitlin constantly admonishes Liam for having sexist views, yet she always pretends to be a "girly girl who isn't girly" for some reason and tries to teach him that it isn't cool to be "intelligent", despite being quite a smart girl. I don't appreciate these kinds of messages in books, movies or TV series and I never will.

I also didn't love the abundance of sexy male characters who only seemed to have eyes for Caitlin and seemed to be created for the sole purpose of making Liam jealous and throw tantrums by tampering with modern technology. I must admit though - it was kind of funny at times. In fact, I laughed quite a few times throughout the book - sometimes at the continuity and writing errors, but sometimes just because it was funny. I enjoyed the second half of the book better than the first, mostly because it had quite a bit of action in addition to Caitlin swooning all over the dead guy and doing little else.

Another thing I liked was the use of Virginia's urban legends and how they were tied to Liam's family's story. Caitlin doing actual investigative work - she is a budding journalist - was the most interesting part of "Ghost for Sale". What kept me going was that I really did want to find out the mystery of the O'Reilly family, and that subplot was much better written than the romance plot. I'd therefore give "Ghost for Sale" a score of 6/10.

**I received a free eARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**

I've seen a lot of people talking about this book and I thought it sounded really interesting and original, so I really wanted to get a chance to read it.

Ghost for Sale is the story of a girl named Caitlin. She lives with her incredibly rich cousin Marcy, who one day decides that it's a good idea to buy two ghosts she saw on eBay... No, really, she did. I actually thought this to be really funny and absurd, and it was one of the reasons why I wanted to read this book.

Anyway, the ghost thing is actually no scam, there were real ghosts in the package Marcy gets sent home... Well, there's actually just one ghost, Liam O'Reilly, since his twin sister, the other ghost, manages to escape on the way.

As soon as Marcy lets Liam out of the tube he comes in, Caitlin feels a connection with him. And they pretty much start hanging out after they introduce themselves and all that. Turns out Liam is a 19-year-old guy from the 19th century, and he needs Caitlin's help to find his sister, so they can go to heaven together or wherever ghosts go.

I'll be honest and say that I didn't exactly love this book, but I didn't hate it either. It was an entertaining read. Although there were some things that didn't really feel believable to me, for example: there were times when Liam wouldn't understand some things Caitlin said, of course, he suddenly finds himself in the 21st century, after all. But, after like two days of watching TV, it's like he knows almost every word or phrase she's saying, and I can't understand how he would master the teenage slang of this century in such a short time.

Also, the pace of the book was just fine in the first half of the book, but then I felt like things were rushed and that the conclusion of the story happened very quickly, which I wasn't expecting.

Other than that, it was quite nice. I liked the characters (I loved Patrick), and the relationship between Caitlin and Liam was kind of cute, there were some things I didn't like about Liam, but I know that's just me. I definitely appreciated Caitlin being a pretty girl and knowing it, there are way too many stories out there about girls "being pretty and not knowing it" that it's starting to get boring.

I did really like the writing, it was very fresh and it never felt like the author was trying too hard.

I do have to say that the ending was very predictable, it also felt a bit weird to me, I didn't love it. But then again, I guess that's what most readers would want in this story.

Ghost for Sale was not what I expected. With a title like that, I was expecting more of a farce than a romance intertwined with a mystery. But a romance intertwined with a mystery I got, and so I read on!

The mystery of Liam and his death and the malevolent spirit holding his twin, Anna, back from going into the light was intriguing. I very much wanted to know who would hold back anyone from moving on from this life, and that storyline was well-presented and nicely resolved. I really enjoyed that part of the book.

BUT THE ROMANCE. Maybe it's my personal preference for slow-burning relationships, where the people involved actually bother to get to know each other and the reader gets to see why they fall in love with each other, but this part fell flat for me. Perhaps it's because all the getting-to-know-you interactions got summed up in a sentence or two. The reader doesn't need to spend hours and hours with the characters, but rather than telling us that they talked so easily about so many things, the author could SHOW us how they conversed so easily, despite their different times and different backgrounds. That's what I would have loved to seen. Instead, the love story feels rushed and unrealistic, especially as it takes place in a matter of days.

Also, every character in this book was very one-note--Cat is meek yet a rich daddy's girl. Her eccentric cousin is also a rich daddy's girl who attracts all the boys and doesn't want any of them. The reader is told, repeatedly, that Liam is sexy and brooding and protective. No flaws in anyone so far. Nothing to rise above, nothing to overcome. Nothing to give the MCs depth or likability. Now, if the "ghost buster" had gotten some time in the narrative, things probably could have been more interesting. But no, he was brushed to the side, too. And the ending was very disappointing--it was complete, unsatisfying wish fulfillment.

What did make this story worth reading, aside from understanding the mystery, was Liam's reactions to the modern world. His first car ride actually made me chuckle. Overall, if you were looking for a fluffy, quick beach read with no depth, this would be the book for you.

Ghost for Sale by Sandra Cox is a humorous, paranormal romance. Caitlin King is eighteen years old and it is the summer before her first year at Virginia Tech. She is living with her cousin, Marcy Van Lier in her families’ guest house. A package arrives for Marcy and it is the ghosts she purchased on eBay. They open the box and one of the vials is broken. Marcy opens the second vial and Caitlin smells cinnamon and lime. She also feels a fiery sensation on her skin. Marcy believes she has been conned and is going to demand the return of her $6,000 ($3,000 for each ghost). A little while later when Caitlin is alone, she hears a voice. She turns around and there is a gentleman. Liam O’Reilly was the ghost in the unbroken vial. For some reason only Caitlin can see and hear him.

Liam is stuck in this world because of his twin sister, Anna. Anna O’Reilly was the ghost in the other vial but she escaped somewhere between Virginia and Florida. Anna was killed on her wedding day and she is just desolate. Anna will not move on without her fiancé, William. But some malevolent spirit is keeping the two apart. Caitlin and Liam will work to bring Anna and William together, so the three spirits can move on. But will Caitlin want Liam to move on? You will just have to read Ghost for Sale to find out what happens.

I enjoyed reading Ghost for Sale. I laughed my way throughout the whole book. It is a little silly, but it is not over-the-top. The ending will make you sigh happily. Ghost for Sale is easy to read. I liked the characters (especially Liam) and the writing. I give Ghost for Sale 4 out of 5 stars. If you are looking for a light, fun book to read, check out Ghost for Sale.

Who says ghosts are scary? Meet this ghost who is chivalrous, loving and magnanimous! He even understands emotions and yearns for love. He may have been bought by Marcy but he likes Caitlin and makes himself visible only to her as if there was some connection between them. Sandra has created an amazing character that you would love.

Ghost for Sale? The title fascinated me and I was curious to know more - $6000 for two ghosts? I wonder what Marcy had in her mind while buying them but she feels cheated, as she couldn’t find any of them in the box she receives. The story is packed with emotions though the premise is laughable; it moves fast and the ghost lends a special charm to it. There are many fun moments – I liked the way Liam reacts to Caitlin’s manner of dressing and her boy friends. It is a delightful tale if you approach it with an open mind. The ending might surprise you but I like it.

3.5 stars

I love a good ghost story and this one sounded like quirky fun. Imagine being able to buy a ghost on ebay. Caitlin's cousin did, but she felt nothing so Cait soon found herself helping the ghost named Liam hunt for his twin sister. And he died nearly 100 years ago. His sister Anna and her fiance are being kept apart by a malevolent spirit. Though the story was a little uneven at times, It had a lot of good moments with a sweet romance. I would read another story by Ms. Cox.

I received a Review copy by NetGalley for my honest opinion.

This was truly an amazing book. I loved the characters and the story brought a kind of a fresh wind to me. It wasn't your usual romance book this one. Of course, the fact that I've always found gentlemen from the 1800s irresistible helped this books a lot.
The plot was always moving and I couldn't put the book down once I started, I'm still quite speechless and I do hope that I get to dream of my own Liam.
Plus points to the ending that was nowhere near close to what I expected it to be, it was million times better.

Being in love with a ghost sucks. You can't touch, you can never get married and spend your life together. All you can do is hang out and search for your ghost's dead twin sister. Sandra has managed to make a romantic comedy with a human-meets-ghost twist work in such a charming way. I loved every page of this book!

I love it! although it confuse me a little bit at the beginning, it jump head first into the plot, Cat accepted the idea of a ghost really fast and I didn't like the description of all her outfits, probably it helped portrait the fact that both Cat and Macy are shallow rich girls, still it got annoying really fast.

Gave up a few chapters in. Boring. Horribly written. Needs MAJOR re-writes.
