I have been anxiously awaiting this book since the shocking finish to The Legend of Arturo King. Do you have to read Arturo to understand this book? Not really but I do recommend it because you will understand the intricacies and relationships of this story more.

The Story of Lansing Lotte picks up right after the first one finishes. It is told primarily in Lansing's POV but every now and then we get someone elses. I liked getting into his head and learning his thoughts on all that he didn't say. He is a very private person, even though he is in the public eye. He has his brothers, his band, The Nights and that is about it for his close friends. A few flashbacks in time solidified this point and how much his brothers mean to him. He does, however, have a revolving door of ladies all vying for his attention. This leads to the introduction of a few new characters in this book and at first it was a bit hard to keep up. However, as the story progresses and the intensity builds it was much easier to discern who was who.

I enjoyed Lansing's journey. He was torn between his missed opportunity and what he didn't think he could have. I loved and hated all of the back and forth. He put himself and a few others through some unnecessary drama with his actions. There were a few moments that had me holding my breath too. Thankfully, he came to his senses and made his choice, the right one, in my opinion. This woman brought out a side to Lansing that I hadn't seen before. A softer, protective and possessive side. He pulled out all the stops to prove his dedication to her and the future he wanted with her (sorry I'm not spilling the beans on who he chooses).

I also liked getting glimpses of Arturo at various points throughout the story. There are more questions there but I'm sure they'll be answered in time. L.B. Dunbar's writing keeps getting better and better as the series moves forward. She held true to formula of clever references to King Arthur and weaving modern takes on them. The blending of events from Arturo's book and the characters in Lansing's story was seamless. The cause and effect of it all was interwoven in a way that made complete sense and brought some things full circle. I absolutely can't wait to see where she takes me with the next installment of this series, Perkins' story.

Mr Lansing Lotte... hmmm.. well he's a douche bag, a player, butthole, and a bunch more names, but for some reason we can't help but wanna love him & smack him in the head at the same time. Does he have a good heart? Yes he does... he truly can't help how he feels and he does try to stay away, but peer pressure knocked and he took it, he's a guy, Lol, I promise he will redeem himself just bare with him...

Guinie.... hmmmm.... all I will say is I'm not a fan of hers at all....

Arturo.... well I loved him in his book, he gave me my first book hangover that I couldn't read for like 3 days... but somethings up with him & I don't really know how to feel about him now....

Lila... how can you not love her... She's a beautiful person who always tries to do the right thing, she's been thru a lot of shit and still she keeps a beautiful heart.... I LOVE HER!!!

Sometimes we hold so tightly to our past that we can’t see what the future holds for us. We let feelings from when we were younger take center stage to feelings that are slowly forming deep inside. When those feelings finally come to light, sometimes it is too late to act on them, and we are left right back where we stared; all alone and empty.

His name is Lansing Lotte, aka The Lady Killer. We first meet him in Arturo’s story and he isn’t a big part until he rescues Guinie that we get a glimpse into their past. It was a past that they both wanted to become a future but because of certain events, their courses changed and life had other plans for them. Lansing never thought that the one girl who got away would end up being his best friend’s fiancé, but such is life, and life must go on- or does it?
Lansing’s story picks up right before Arturo’s story ends. We get to see the night of the accident from the eyes of Lansing. No matter how mad Lansing wants to be about everything that happens, he sees this as an opportunity to truly be Guinie’s hero and comfort her in her time of need. Lansing never thought how much Guinie would need him and how difficult it would be to support his friend. Bad news and a series of dead ends, lends to the roller coaster ride that is Lansing’s life.

As the band is trying to figure out how to move on without Arturo, Gunie too, is trying to cope with the loss of her fiancé. She finds comfort in Lansing’s arms, but if their past teaches them anything, it is that there will always be something or someone standing in their way. That someone is actually two, sometimes THREE someone’s by the names of Layne, Elaine and Lila. That Lansing, he really is a lady killer. Each woman has a special connection to Lansing, but for him, it isn’t as deep as the connection he feels with Guinie. It isn’t until Lila is a constant in his life, that he beings to realize, with the help of Will, that maybe what he really needs in his life has been right in front of him all along.

Lila Lovelourne is a woman who has been hurt in the past by a few rock stars and has vowed to stay away from them. It isn’t until she finds herself living with Lansing, the Ladykiller of The Nights, that she is finding it harder and harder to control her feelings for him. Out of all the women in Lansing’s life, I liked Lila the best. I was fighting for her from their very first meeting, I felt that she gave Lansing something that the other girls didn’t; hope. Hope for a future out of the darkness and hope that he could be a better man.

Like with many of LB’s books, I just can’t say enough about them. They take us on a journey of ups and downs, good and bad, and she makes us want more. I didn’t think I could enjoy a book more than I enjoyed Arturo’s story, boy was I wrong. This book was much sexier than the first and I am hoping that LB continues this trend with Perkins’ story. I have to admit, I have a soft spot for him and can’t wait to read his book. If you were hoping to climb back over the cliff that LB left you hanging from after reading Arturo’s story, I’m sorry to say, you are still left hanging. Although we do learn a little more about Arturo, we still aren’t 100% sure what’s going on. I have a feeling that LB will be stringing us along for a few more books. And to be honest, that is quite all right with me.

This book packs in a lot of happenings. Whereas Arturo's story has a lot of revelations from the past, Lansing's story has several events taking place in the present, one after another without much reprieve. To say that the rockstar life is full of drama might be a vast understatement in his case, particularly with regards to his relationships with women. I honestly could not have predicted where Lansing's book would take him, even if I knew a little bit about the original legend of King Arthur. While the ending of Arturo's book is still in effect full force, the rest of the band is still trying to figure out what their next move is so there's quite a bit of idle time. Lansing knows that Guinie is going through a tough ordeal and wants to be that friend for her during a rough period, maybe more, but it leads to all kinds of conflict with other people, too. Mure Linn is nowhere to be found and that makes me wonder what he is up to and what he knows. Tristan and Perk are absorbed in their own personal business. It's obvious that Lansing and Arturo are best friends for a reason with so much history between them, but Lansing is definitely entertaining thoughts that could ruin his friendship with Arturo. Whereas Arturo has an intense and dominant personality that equates him with being a king, literally, Lansing is a bit more on the subdued side in the sense that he isn't quite as alpha and doesn't always know what he wants. He holds idealistic beliefs and hangs on to the past, ignoring what is right in front of him even though he can see all the signs. The vast majority of this book is in Lansing's POV and his inner monologue, but there is a female POV, too. Similar to the previous book, the storytelling is well done, but the transitioning between the characters doesn't quite give them distinct enough voices although the characters are definitely their own individuals, and I would have preferred more dialogue. Lansing has to trip and fall several times before he realizes what or who he really wants. I think it's easy to get frustrated with him, but I understood his dilemma, he genuinely was conflicted but he also didn't want to compromise. I do admire him for remembering his place and where his loyalties lie in the end. Although not all questions from the previous book were answered, the insight to Lansing definitely departs from the expectation of the original legend of King Arthur and gives Lansing his own strength and power to find happiness.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is the second book in Dunbar's Legendary Rock Stars series, and you really should read The Legend of Arturo King first. It's not absolutely necessary because this story does provide pertinent background information that you'd get from Arturo's story, but it also provides some really big spoilers for Arturo's story, so it's best to read in order.

I loved this story, but I was pretty sure I was going to love it before I even started. I'm a fan of L.B. Dunbar's writing already, and I really enjoy Arthurian Legend, which greatly inspired this series. That's a recipe for success where I'm concerned.

The story is told in first person, but it switches between a few of the characters to give us a slightly broader perspective of the events. I thought this worked really well for the story making everything feel really personal, which makes it easier for me to connect with the main character, especially when he comes off as kind of a jerk for large portions of the story. Although Lansing is supposed to be this really heroic guy, his actions where women are concerned are flippant and obviously hurtful (to most people at least) but he does have his amazing moments too.

There isn't much more that I can say without spoiling the story, so I'm just going to stop here. If you like rock star stories and/or Arthurian legend, you will probably really enjoy this book.

Anyone that knows me knows that I am a huge LB Dunbar fan. I absolutely love everything that she writes and The Story of Lansing Lotte is no exception.
Lansing is known as "the lady killer" and for good reason. He has a never ending supply of woman willing to be with him...even if it's only for the night. While he seems to have it all on the outside...money, good looks, great friends, fame...on the inside he is a complicated mess of emotions and doesn't know how to handle them all. From his parentage to his friends/brothers, the many women in his life and least of all himself, he finally finds what it is inside himself to be the man he needs to be for his one true love. I must admit that I didn't like Lansing (the character) for most of this book but he redeems himself in the end.
If you read The Legend of Arturo King (and were left screaming WTF repeatedly like I was) you know that there is a huge cliffhanger at the end. While we don't get all of the answers, we do get some insight into the dynamics of The Nights and learn a little bit about why each member is the way they are.
Again LB gives us another book worthy of a massive book hangover and I can't wait to finish this series.

Great story.
I'll admit it took longer to get into. Lansing had some serious issues trying to figure out what he really wanted. He had a full plate and then some between Elaine, Layne, Guinevere, Lila and Fluer. He learns a lot about himself and what he truly craves isn't what he thought it was. It took him a while to figure out his life, plenty of mistakes along the way, but he got there.
Guinevere, I don't know what I think about her.
I'm not sure what to say about two of them, and what i have to say isn't very nice, but you should read it to find out why I think that.
And then Lila, she had ever reason not to trust. Things kept being thrown in her face, though not exactly by Lansing.
It took her a while to accept the truth. She wasn't wrong to doubt, but can she get over that doubt?
And Fluer is adorable. Got to lvoe that little girl.
BTW, I want more Will. Just sayin

Loved the way that Dunbar captured the personality of the original character Sir Lancelot (Launcelot du Lac), meaning "Lancelot of the Lake." I am a big fan of Arthurian tales and I could clearly see the struggles and the gentleness of Sir Lancelot in Lansing. Loved that Dunbar strayed from the original tale and found Lansing a different mate while still staying close to the original story so that foundations of it would come thru in the betrayal of Arturo.

Love the unknown and how little by little we get glimpses of what is happening. Great follow up to the "The Legend of Arturo King." Five stars all the way.

The mystery regarding Arturo's disappearance continues in this book as we learn more about Lansing Lotte. Poor Lansing. He truly was a chick magnet and had so much drama going on with each that I felt so bad for him.

As he tried to deal with his attraction and affection for Guinevere, the obsessive attentions from Layne and Elaine and his interest in the woman from 3A in his apartment building; we watch the chaos of the life that is Lansing Lotte.

His story had so much more drama, so many more characters and more questions about where Arturo disappeared to and why he hasn't returned.

The plot continues to thicken as each band mates' story is told. Now it's time to read about Perkins.

The mystery of Arturo continues with Lansing's story. A reviewer had said she hated Lansing at first. I never felt that. I felt sorry and sad for someone who didn't realize what he really wanted or needed. Too many women, too many distractions clouded his mind. I loved this book, loved the characters and loved the evolution of Lansing. Looking forward to finally unraveling what really happened to Arturo. Please write faster LB Dunbar!

I was given this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

“It was flint to a rock. We struck and she sparked.”

This was the first book I have read by Author L.B. Dunbar. What did I think about it? Immediately after reading, I contacted her to let her know it would not be my last. Rockers are hot in the book world. But, you have to know how to write a hot rocker book or it will fall flat on the ground. L. B. Dunbar is definitely in the know!
Mystery, intrigue, lust, love, and an amazing story line infiltrated the pages of The Story of Lansing Lotte, and made me read from beginning to end without putting it down.

“Sometimes it isn’t a missed opportunity, Lansing. Sometimes it’s Fate telling us it was never meant to be.”

We enter into Lansing’s world with fabulous character introductions and a mystery. Lansing Lotte, the man who has it all and simultaneously has nothing. Circumstances have caused him to have interactions with women that he had not planned. He can’t seem to get it right with any of them, and because of this his life is full of feminine complications. We are introduced to all of the women in his life, but two stick out that make our hearts happy to sing and move to his rhythm. One is shy and unsure of herself. Her story is one that is misunderstood and causes a positive distraction for Lansing. The other dashing woman in his life that leaves us wanting more is under the age of 18; she is innocent and loving. The Story of Lansing Lotte takes us through many twists and turns with this main story line and other avenues that continually intersect and give us something that cannot be refused or lived without.

“I’d slide so far inside you, you wouldn’t know where I stopped and you started,”

Give me great characters, a fast-paced story line, humor, good love, and a happy ending and I am an overjoyed reader…do you see the smile on my face? It’s huge! The menagerie of characters and their circumstances kept me on my toes and guaranteed my interest throughout the story. The alternating points of view offered a look at the story from many different characters’ perspectives, which, I feel gave more insight into details that may have been overlooked had only one point of view been present. Every emotion present flowed off of the pages and into my own emotional bank, causing an overflow of my feelers that made me laugh, cry, gasp, moan, and cheer loudly. The ending left me satisfied, yet wanting more. I am so thrilled to have been introduced to this series and cannot wait to continue the tale in the Quest for Perkins Vale.

Lila covered my overall feels for Lansing’s story when she said,
“He overwhelmed my senses. He overwhelmed my body. And he overwhelmed my heart.”

5 Emotional Roller Coaster Stars!!
 photo blueBC5stars_zpscd25f1b4.png

This is one emotional roller coaster!! Starting off with the MAJOR cliffy from the Legend of Arturo King, The Story of Lansing Lotte jumps right in where we left off.

Guinie is in mourning, Lansing is still hoping for his one chance and Elaine completely takes advantage of a drunken Lansing, when he drinks himself into a stupor over Arturo’s accident and missing body.

Guinie is a mess and starts to latch on to Lansing. She knows he’s wanted her for a long time, but does she really care about him, or is she just lonely and lost?

Lansing, being the “hero” that he doesn’t want to admit, saves “3A” and her daughter Fleur from a fire in his building, and their once innocent flirting takes to new heights when he moves them in with him. Lila and Fleur are everything that Lansing needs, but doesn’t know it.

4.5 Stars! - The Story of Lansing Lotte put me through the emotional wringer. To be honest, I wasn’t a huge fan of Lansing in the first book so I wasn’t sure how much I would like him in this one. L.B. Dunbar managed to surprise me, delivering a complicated mess of a man that you can’t help but feel for. And I did. I felt everything with this story. I felt the band’s frustration and fear, Lansing’s heartache and guilt, Layne’s overwhelming sadness, and Lila’s crippling mistrust. L.B. Dunbar had my head spinning with the way the various relationships between characters were so complexly interwoven and how each clue as to the truth about Arturo King seemed to lead only to more questions. A great addition to the series, The Story of Lansing Lotte was just the right balance of suspense, steam, and sweetness.

The way in which L.B. Dunbar evolved Lansing over the course of this novel was impressive. I went in to the story wanting to slap him, and that feeling definitely repeated itself several times over… and then some. I didn’t expect to also find my heart aching for him and my frustration building at his inability to bring his good intentions to fruition. I absolutely loved Lila. Her story was tragic, but her strength was unwavering and I absolutely adored her honest, kind, and nurturing personality. Fleur was the glowing bright spot in this story, providing a lightness and innocence when things were getting dark and oh my gosh Lansing with Fleur was enough to make my heart explode!

It took me a while to really get into the story with so many characters to focus on and some many relationships being developed simultaneously. Once things were settled and the characters had been set on their paths it was easier to lose myself in the story and it didn’t take long before L.B. Dunbar was turning up the heat. The chemistry between Lansing and Lila is freaking explosive. The overall storyline has me totally twisted as I try to understand the mystery surrounding Arturo King. L.B. Dunbar is clearly trying to kill me with this series. Every time I think I have something figured out, she throws me for a loop, leaving me desperate for the next book. I can wait to see what will happen next with The Nights!

I will be thinking of Lansing for days, possibly longer! I couldn't read fast enough, there were so many questions I needed answered! I enjoyed Arturo's story and was shocked with the ending and was impatiently waiting for Lansing's story. And dang I was not disappointed, not one bit. I can honestly say I loved Lansing so much and I wanted to reach into the book and run MY fingers through his longish bangs! He's my new book boyfriend so hands of ladies!!
Lansing is quiet, misunderstood, he is a walking disaster and if you're woman you probably shouldn't be anywhere near him unless you want your heart broken. But that is easier said than done, Lansing gets his nickname, The Lady Killer, honestly. Women are drawn to him, and it's hard not to. There are a series of woman who are in his life and he only dreams of one, the one he can't have. So he uses the others as a distraction against "her" but what happens when he loses one of those distractions, could she be the one he needs, the one he can't live without? Or maybe she is one of the others, has she been right under his nose this whole time? How about the one that has been there as a friend and nothing more? I can't say, and I surely won't spoil it for you! I had my suspicions and none turned out correctly so keep an open mind, LB knows what she's doing, and how to keep us on our toes! This isn't a fall in love and live happily ever after story, it's far from it, there's fighting, broken hearts, hopes, dreams, and crushing moments when it was almost perfect. I may have even shed a tear or two....my heart was in a vice grip and I just wanted, no needed someone to love Lansing, for him to be someone's #1.
This isn't just one story, there are multiple stories within Lansing's, Arturo may have an appearance or two, Perkins Vale is a mystery I'm dying to discover and Elaine is just beginning hers, and of course The Nights, that's a story that needs an ending. I can't wait to read more about this crazy bunch and find out all the secrets they hold. I am in love with LB Dunbar and her writing, she knows just how to tell a story that stays in your heart.

The Story of Lansing Lotte is the second book in the Legendary RockStars series by LB Dunbar. It is necessary to read the first book, The Legend Of Arturo King, before beginning Lansing's story.

In case you haven't figured it out from the titles of the books, this series is a modern take on the story of King Arthur. I knew of King Arthur's tale, but these books made me curious and so I had to do a little research. I love a book that teaches me something, while also helping me to escape from real life!

If you have not yet read The Legend of Arturo King, proceed at your own risk - the following may contain spoilers!
.
.
.
.

At the end of the first book, I was left stunned and wanting more. I needed to know what happened to Arturo! Was he alive? Dead? Kidnapped? I went into this book expecting some answers right away... and while some of my questions about Arturo were answered, this book focuses mainly on Lansing Lotte. Among fans of The Nights, Lansing is known as the "Lady Killer". In this book, he lives up to his name. Throughout most of the book, I really didn't like him all that much. I was frustrated with his decisions, his irresponsibility, his thoughtlessness. However, he did have some redeeming qualities that made me love him in the end. His interactions with Fleur were super sweet. And the song... absolute perfection.

Although I didn't enjoy this book quite as much as Arturo's story, I did really like it. It's sexy. It's a love story... Or love stories. It has mystery. Suspense. Oh, and rock stars. The Legendary RockStars series has a little bit of everything and I definitely recommend these books. But I still have so many questions!! I am most definitely looking forward to reading the next book in the series to learn the story of Perkins Vale. Out of all of the characters, he has intrigued me the most!

4 stars for Lansing Lotte!

Missed opportunities or fate?

This is what seems to be the basis for how Lansing has lived his life and continues to live since Arturo King’s disappearance, and with Arturo missing in action, Lansing takes the opportunity to see if he has a chance with the one person who he always wanted to be his – Guinevere. But Lansing putting himself in the midst of a precarious situation, involving other women from his past and another one from his present, puts him on a path that has significant damaging effects on all those involved, and at the end of the story, readers and Lansing still don’t fully understand the consequences of his actions.

There’s a lot to the man whose nickname is The Lady Killer…much of it, he doesn’t allow many to see because his persona as a rock star gets in the way, but to a select few, those who truly understand him, they know the man behind the façade, and he’s passionate, conflicted and loves hard. But those same qualities that make Lansing endearing are also ones that complicate his life and force him to make decisions that change the course of many lives, including his own.

I loved Lansing Lotte's story, and the way L.B. Dunbar created the story line to shed light on its varying aspects and Lansing's various ladies worked well. It’s a bit complicated keeping all of Lansing’s love interests straight, but each one of the women and his relationship with them illustrates his multiple dilemmas and what he’s struggling to find for himself. I also loved the fact that Dunbar gives readers Lansing the knight and Lansing the human being who makes poor judgments and errors that cost him and others dearly. Good people can make poor decisions and Lansing is a testament to that idea, but at the end, Lansing understands the path he is supposed to take – the chance he is supposed to grab onto and he follows it and figures out where his heart belongs.

I thought I fell in love with Arturo, but I am just as much in love with Lansing! Yes, I am in love with two men equally! I have been waiting for Lansing’s story since getting just little hints in the first book of the series, and I was not disappointed.

So, the story of Lansing Lotte. He believes he is in love with a woman he can never have, but that doesn’t keep him from warming other women’s beds while thinking of his “unattainable” love. We get more of Lansing’s background, more secrets come to light, and the characters are dealing with the aftermath of what occurred in the first book. So, there is a lot that is going on amongst these pages. One thing I really liked was how Dunbar titled the chapters. They are told in different characters’ POVs, mostly in Lansing’s, but there was a little twist. For example, one was titled, Lansing on Elaine, and another was Lansing on Guinevere, and so forth. I felt like that really pulled me into the story. Readers are also introduced to some new characters as well. I know I am being very vague in this review, but I seriously don’t want to spoil the surprises and twists and turns for those who haven’t read the series, because it’s an awesome series. The one thing I will say is Lansing kind of gets himself into some trouble with different women, but which one will ultimately win his heart. I will say I was very pleased with his choice!

L.B. Dunbar has proven how talented she is. She writes different series, and they are different from each other. But, I have LOVED everything she has ever written. Her men are sexy, and her women can be sassy. The love scenes are sexy and sweet. But, her books are romances with some substance. They really pull at your emotions and thus your heart. So, if you like your romance with some depth and real emotion, grab one of her books today! You will not be disappointed. I am anxiously awaiting her next book in the series and in her Sensations Series!

Lansing Lotte is known as the lady killer. He is not only a member of The Nights, he is also the best friend of Arturo King but he has a secret, he has feelings for Guinevere and has had since he was 18.

If you have read the first book in this series The Legend of Arturo King, which I strongly recommend, then you will know there was a terrible accident involving Arturo and that he is missing. The members of The Nights have all death with their loss in different ways. There is something strange going on with Mur Lin, Ingrid and Ana that this book doesn't answer but you can tell it is leading to something big to do with Arturo.

Lila and Fleur live in apartment 3a in the same building as Lansing. Lila is a photographer and while Lansing and Lila flirt as they pass each other in the hallways or elevator, they don't actually know each other until a disaster strikes and Lansing comes to the rescue of Fleur.

This story is abut Lansing and how he discovers his feelings for Guinevere are not what they seems and that his happiness is right under his nose. L.B Dunbar takes us through a vivid and amazing journey with Lansing and Lila as they discover they are what each other needs.

This story still leaves many questions unanswered about Arturo so be prepared for the need to read the next book The Quest of Perkins Vale to discover what The Nights will go through next.

On a side note, if like me, you liked Guinevere after the first book, be prepared to have a very different opinion of her! This book portrays her in a different light, one I'm not entirely sure I like.

Anyway, this is another must read book from L.B. Dunbar. Once again she has woven a tale that you can slip right into.

I receiced this book from the author for an honest review.

I am a HUGE fan of LB. I devour everything she writes. What I love most about her books is the maturity of her writing. She doesn't need to drop the F bomb every other word to seem gritty. She doesn't use sex to fill the book. She writes amazing stories that are hot and gritty while being beautifully written. This book is yet another story that I just couldn't put down. Her characters are complex and totally flawed but completely loveable in their hott mess.

SO this book picks up after Arturo is missing!!! We dont know where he is and we are all wondering what is gonna happen. Guinne and Lansing have this inexplainable chemistry and draw to each other. Lansing has loved her for years and is really wanting to BE the one for her. On top of this crazy love for Guinne, he is dating Layne who we know has loved him from afar like he has Guinne. He is also spending time with Elaine who is in crazy mad love with him. It seems everyone sees that a great guy he is but himself. He is so caught up with Guinne that he cant see anyone. When Lila enters his life, she calls him on his crap but still respects him for his choices even if they are not good ones.

I was sooo glad to see the two of them bonding but getting increasingly annoyed with Guinne expecially after she let her and Lansings secret out at a party. And then there is the Arturo issue....what the heck is going on. He is alive but hiding out and watching everyone. He sees what is going on with Guinne and Lansing but also with Lansing and Lila.

I am so excited to read Perks book and maybe get some more insight to what the heck is glong on inside Arturo's mind and why he is still hiding from his friends and family.

I would say 3.75 stars.
In this continuation of the Legend of Arturo King, the reader gets to follow the story from Lansing's point of view. The story follows Lansing and Lila's point of view and relationships with different characters; Lansing on Elaine, Lansing on Guinevere, Lansing on Layne, Lila on herself, Lansing on Lila and Lila on Lansing. This method worked towards the end of the story, but I think that it was a bit tedious during the first part of the novel. The going back and forth was a bit confusing.
Lansing has to maneuver through his relationships and his feelings. uhm......sigh. Honestly, I dont know how I feel about all of this. I could def appreciate his struggle, journey and growth. I "liked" Lansing but also hated him. I hated his wishy washy attitude and cavalier feelings, but at the same time, i felt this is what made him so believable, even though I could not relate to him.

I really struggled with this book. The beginning felt so meh. I hated him. I didnt feel the beauty of the prose like I did in the previous book. Lansing's story felt like it was trying too hard. It just did not feel authentic....... I dont know, I think it is hard to explain.
I will say, the essence of the story, a love story between 2 damaged, struggling people coming together, was good. The attempting to move forward to move on after a "death", the wanting of what someone else has, the desire to feel something, this was brilliant. It was well written. However, not arriving there until the end of the novel, just made it feel like it was dragging and I just wanted to scream over the back and forth.
So, the dragging and the "trying too hard" are the main reasons I didnt star this higher.
Will I read the next book? DAMN IT! YES!! I need closure!!
WIll I drop everything and read it.........uhmmmmmm, Not exactly.

I am so frustrated!! I don't even know what to write although I really want to write something. This book made me love and hate all of these characters at the same time. They were so dumb with their impulsive decisions. Why oh why don't people think of consequences?????

Ok. In the first book, I felt it for Lansing. Here's this guy who was so head over heels for Guinevere and had to watch her and his best friend fall in love. Ouch! But in reading The Story of Lansing Lotte, I realized that what he felt for her was just infatuation. Pssshhh! Is that what that was? I get it. When we miss our chance at something and are offered another opportunity we more than likely want to grab hold of it. But these two were just so damn wrong. Arturo isn't dead. Officials never ruled him as deceased. So why the heck were these two acting like this??? And Guinevere? Don't even get me started in her. She pissed me the heck off! How dare she take advantage of Lansing like that? What happened to the good and sweet girl from book one? I don't think she deserves to get Arturo back at this point. Whenever he comes back I think he should shove her ass to the curb. The nerve of this chick!!

Lila was a little frustrating because she made crazy assumptions about everything, but at the same time I couldn't blame her. Lansing sure didn't do much to earn her trust. That revolving door was insane. But I loved the way loved blossomed between Lansing, Lila and Fleur.

When an author can piss me off with her characters, I know that their ish is on point. That's definitely the case with Dunbar. If I had no reaction, then the story just ain't that good. This story was consuming. And I need more about what is happening with Arturo. I love the glimpses I got in this book. I wonder how everything ties together. What roles do Ana, Morte, Ingrid and Mure play in all this???

Admittedly, I had been anxiously awaiting the release of this one after being sucked in by The Legend of Arturo King. I very happily signed up for the blog tour to get the ARC even though I had already preordered it – I was that anxious to get to see where the story would go next.

Another 5 star read without a doubt, though I will warn readers that you won’t get all your questions answered from the end of Arturo. I saw the author mention that we will return to Arturo and Guinie in the 5th book of the series, though there are some sightings within this one, and I imagine there will be in Perkins’ and Tristan’s tales. At first this may seem slightly disappointing, put that aside and get lost in Lansing. I think you will find, as I did, that you will find every bit as in love with him as you did with Arturo.

Lansing is known as “The Lady Killer”, and it is easy to see how that happened as we journey into his heart and soul. Maybe all his kindred spirits are simply biding time until “the one” crosses his path. And just maybe “the one” could be someone other that who he has convinced himself was “the one.” Get swept up in his discoveries about himself and the women in his life and all the messes he gets himself into over them.

Again, LB brings the King Arthur story seamlessly into the present. There is so much going on here, and I always try to avoid spoilers, but sink into this one when you don’t have to be up the next morning, I found it impossible to put down and am already greedily awaiting the next release on June 26 (which happens to be my birthday – happy birthday to me!)

Again, for mature audiences only, for sexual situations. If you liked Arturo, you will love Lansing every bit as much.

**I received an ARC for an honest review.**

I am just going to jump right in....

Lansing Lotte took awhile to win me over. That man was so utterly confused in his life and he just complicating his life even more. I honestly was not able to fall completely in love with him until more than halfway through, but he definitely won me over.

So, The Story of Lansing Lotte starts up right were The Legend of Arturo Kind ends. At the beginning there is so much going on. Arturo is still missing...is he dead or a live? I did not like the Lansing at the beginning of this book. I did not like his Lady Killer ways. I hated that he was so confused with all the women in his life and the choices that he made. I even hated all of those women because they knew they were making a complicated situation even more complicated. I hated that Guinie kept confusing him even further, I did not care for the Guinie of this book. I did not like her push and pull that she had over Lansing and his willingness to be sucked in, but of course all things must come to a head.

What I loved though were those moments of distraction that Lansing lived for...not the ones of the past but the ones of the present. I loved how Lansing was with Fluer. I loved how he was with Lila and I loved that she always gave him her honest opinion. I loved that she slowly brought him into who he should have been all along. I liked how Lansing started to change all because of his "family."

There are so many things that go on in this book and it's quite a lot to keep up with. Things from book one are still unanswered and there is a little more mystery added to the overall story. Slowly things start to unravel, but there is still so much more that needs to be uncovered. I look forward to more of this series.

ARC received for an honest review

This is the second book in the Legendary Rock Star Series by L.B. Dunbar. If you haven’t read the Legend of Arturo King, you need to before going into this one. A modern day takeoff on King Arthur this story focuses on Lansing Lotte (Lancelot), Arturo King’s best friend, and lady killer of the band The Nights. Admittedly my knowledge of King Arthur is not good so reading these two books was just reading a good story to me. I knew the names and connected to the past but other than that, I couldn’t cross reference the two. To me, both these books were just well written books and enjoyable to read. There was enough backstory on the characters and their history I didn’t feel any need to compare.
With the story of Lansing, his killer good looks and reputation to match, quite honestly I wanted to walk up behind him and smack him on the back of the head and tell him to get his sh*t together(I feel like I lost track of how many women he was with in the book). Then he goes and does something sweet to redeem himself and I want to hug him. I was up and down on whether I wanted to like him or throttle him throughout the book. There is definite sex appeal to Lansing and it keeps you wanting more of him. A lucky little girl named Fleur gets to be his best friend and see just how sweet he really is.
But as the underlying story of Arturo keeps resurfacing and the tension between Lansing and Guinie, Arturo’s fiance’, continues, this series has the makings to be a must read for anyone. Because really, who can deny hot rockers? Thank you L.B. Dunbar!!

Ok, first I want to say go GET the Legend Of Arturo King by LB Dunbar if you haven't yet. For me it is a must read to enjoy the story as a unit. Because this series so far has rocked and will continue to do so. I personally have not been a huge fan of King Arthur but this writer has a magical way with her words that her stories draw you in. She didn't a great job bring this story to life and what it would be like if it was in our century.

I will say I was a bit a concerned with how my feelings would range with Lansing. Yet, this book drew me in and won me over. I was glad I read it. I was so into it that I couldn't put it down. I read through the night and into the morning hours. So ladies be prepared to want to stay up with Lansing. He will definitely make you swoon and aww...

All the characters will take hold of your attention, and keep you guessing. On edge of your seat wondering what is happening and will happen. The POV in this story where amazing because in puts you in a state of suspense. For me that is the best mix in a story because it gets you hooked and eager for more. Especially when you can connect with at least one of the characters if not more. I found myself comparing my experiences with theirs. It was nice to take a journey with Lansing to self discovery. Sometimes we have to deal with the difficult parts in life to get the happy ones. Also to be open to all possibilities even when we don't expect them or feel worthy of them.

So take a chance at discovering the legends and rocking with some amazing characters.

I have to admit that, after reading The Legend of Arturo King, I was a bit leery of this sequel. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong.

--------------SPOILER ALERT--------------
For those who have read Legend, then you know that the end of the story was a bit of a cliff hanger. Well, in Lansing's book, some of the mystery is solved but not completely. Of course this book mainly dwells on Lansing and his life with The Nights. He's young, gorgeous, and has no money worries. His problem? Women! Although he does seem to bounce around from one woman to the next, you get the impression that he isn't really being a man-whore but rather looking for a life with the right woman. Of course, he has this thing for a woman he knows will never truly be his until they connect for one night of passion. From that one night, he realizes that she may not be the woman he thought she was. In the end, he finally figures out who this woman is but not before some seriously highs and lows throughout their "relationship".

----------End of SPOILER ALERT------------

I would definitely give this story a 5 star rating. The characters are well developed and the story flows smoothly throughout the entire read. Feelings run the gambit with Lansing including happy, sad, hurt, anger and passion. The love scenes are very hot and will leave the reader a bit breathless. I would highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys passion, hot rockers, and intense emotion.

Oh Mr. Lotte (The Ladykiller) you left me speechless at times and shaking my head at times.

In this book we meet Lansing Lotte of from The Nights. Most of the story is told in his POV. There are some chapters from the ladies that Lansing are involved with. This was great because you got to see into his thoughts about each individual lady. Mr. Lotte is a complex man who has a hard time figuring out who he is and what he wants. As the story unfolds you see into his past and get some answers. He feels that he loves Guinie but is it really love. Lansing is always there to help the ladies but is he really looking for someone to help him? He will make you swoon but he will also make you gnash your teeth at times. You can feel Lansing's pain and confusion as to what he wants in life.

You will also get a glimpse into the other members of the band and what is going on. This does include Arturo and Guinie, will you finally get some answers from the first book? Pick it up and see.

I love LB Dunbar's books because she always draws you into the story and connecting you to the characters. Even though Lansing is involved with a few ladies the story flows well and you don't get lost. Kudos to Ms. Dunbar for weaving a story of The Nights that will leave you wanting more and counting the days to the next release.

I won an ARC of this book.

I won an advance copy of The Story of Lansing Lotte, and was so excited, I had just finished The Legend of Arturo King and wanted more. This book is worth waiting for but I am glad i did not have to wait until its release on April 28th. Arturo is mentioned and so is the chaos the knights and it members are going through, But don’t be mistaken this Lansing’s story and journey. He learns about forgiveness, love, and that when we have missed opportunities we sometimes are not meant to go back and recapture them. He is made to realize that his time with Guinevere has passed even though Arturo has disappeared, Lansing would always be number #2 and he deserved to be someones #1. He is taught to forgive himself and except that he has someone waiting to save and love him. With the help of his best friend Galehaut, he see’s that Lila is there to save him and it is ok to let someone love you!
Lansing has made some huge mistakes, and he takes full responsibility for them, but struggles through the darkness. In the end he finds his way to the light, which not only helps him but also the Knights as they wait for Arturo’s return. I can’t wait to meet all the members of the Knights and learn their individual story’s. But most of all I’ll be waiting to find out how Arturo and Guinevere story ends. I want to take time and thank L.B. Dunbar for sharing this story and her talent.

Lansing Lotte's story picks up from the morning after the big concert, towards the end of The Legend of Arturo King. Lansing gets a call, and leaves a woman behind to make his way to Guinevere and Arturo's place. The news is devastating.
This is Lansing's story, told mainly in his POV - he's messed up and makes mistakes. But that's what I like about Lansing - he's not perfect, he's not the hero, and he has to learn from his mistakes and move forward. He has a revolving door of women. The band is in limbo. There's the missed opportunity with Guinie, from a few years ago, when he never made the call. It has left him with regret and wondering. There are parts of the story told from other's POV, and I was left wondering which direction the story would take - there's that revolving door of women - who would Lansing end up with?
I loved the ending - it was perfect. And I'm glad Lansing wasn't perfect. He might be a rock god, but he is human after all.
As for the questions I was left with at the end of Arturo's story? Well, his story is still not complete, there are still questions. I'm looking forward to reading Perkins Vale's story next, and seeing where LB Dunbar will take the Nights from here.

Lansing Lotte - gorgeous rock star and Ladykiller. He goes through women and has never looked back. At some point, he will need to grow up and realize he is wasting his life away. I can say this is due to his youth, fame and his infatuation with Guinevere (on the surface this might be so) but deep inside he is deceiving himself.

This scenario reminds me of Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With the Wind. This famous character spent half her life blinded by her infatuation with Ashley, a man he could never have. In the meantime, she had a man next to her who loved her deeply and was willing to invest himself in her, only to be rebuked by her because of her inability to appreciate what was right in front of her eyes. Lansing is just like Scarlett. He has to go through a series of mistakes before he is aware of what is really of value.

As you read this book, you will find the plotline increasingly becoming complex and interesting. The journey Lansing makes until he finds his way is full of mistakes he callously makes. The consequences are eye opening with long lasting effect on his life.

Arturo is still around but staying away from his friends. His full story is yet to be fully realized.
