I am so frustrated!! I don't even know what to write although I really want to write something. This book made me love and hate all of these characters at the same time. They were so dumb with their impulsive decisions. Why oh why don't people think of consequences?????
Ok. In the first book, I felt it for Lansing. Here's this guy who was so head over heels for Guinevere and had to watch her and his best friend fall in love. Ouch! But in reading The Story of Lansing Lotte, I realized that what he felt for her was just infatuation. Pssshhh! Is that what that was? I get it. When we miss our chance at something and are offered another opportunity we more than likely want to grab hold of it. But these two were just so damn wrong. Arturo isn't dead. Officials never ruled him as deceased. So why the heck were these two acting like this??? And Guinevere? Don't even get me started in her. She pissed me the heck off! How dare she take advantage of Lansing like that? What happened to the good and sweet girl from book one? I don't think she deserves to get Arturo back at this point. Whenever he comes back I think he should shove her ass to the curb. The nerve of this chick!!
Lila was a little frustrating because she made crazy assumptions about everything, but at the same time I couldn't blame her. Lansing sure didn't do much to earn her trust. That revolving door was insane. But I loved the way loved blossomed between Lansing, Lila and Fleur.
When an author can piss me off with her characters, I know that their ish is on point. That's definitely the case with Dunbar. If I had no reaction, then the story just ain't that good. This story was consuming. And I need more about what is happening with Arturo. I love the glimpses I got in this book. I wonder how everything ties together. What roles do Ana, Morte, Ingrid and Mure play in all this???
