“Biggest deception”, is not hyperbole. Some call the claim that humans are causing global warming a hoax, but that supposes a humorous objective. There have been deceptions before, but not on a global scale with negative impacts on every nation. A deception is a deliberate act to mislead - the objective is to provide information predetermined to support the claims of impending doom. The deception is the hypothesis that human’s, particularly their production of CO2 from burn in fossil fuels is causing global warming. The hypothesis is referred to as Anthropogenic Global warming (AGW). There is nothing funny about the damage and cost to people and economies.

ANTI-HOAX CAN BE ITSELF A HOAX

All science means discussion, with pro an contra arguments. Global Climate is indeed strongly polemic.

I read this booklet as an honest source of scientific argumentation against the conception (or misconception) that humans have been messing with th planet's climate throigh their acts. It was utterly disapointing: the argumentation is shallow and mostly polytical rather than scientific; there is hardly a point in the book I can use in some science discussion. It completely misses the modern questions about and world's ecology. The author accuses scientists as evidence cherry-picking—then proceeds to do the same, in its argumenttion. It even mentions Wikipedia—a volatile knowledge source at most.

In the end, it added very few to my inderstanding of the cause. It is not even worth one star.

The premise of this book - that the majority of climate scientists cherry-pick data to deliberately promote a climate change "political ideology" - would be better served had it not itself extensively cherry-picked data, which is all provided without a single reference or citation. The lack of referencing is defended on the grounds that "everything is available on the internet" or "buy my other book for more extensive discussion", which should immediately raise considerable red flags regarding the scientific method employed by author Tim Ball, or lack thereof. Add to that poor editing, sloppy sentence construction, numerous logical fallacies, and a painfully apparent persecution complex, and it becomes very difficult to take this book seriously. I would very much like, as Mr Ball explicitly recommends, to make up my own mind after being presented with the facts, but without any references, it's impossible to distinguish what is legitimate data, and what Mr Ball is misrepresenting, misunderstanding, or simply making up. If climate change is indeed a deception as Mr Ball claims, he needs to do a far better job making his case beyond hoping his readers are as scientifically illiterate as he is.

Okay, it's a conspiracy theory. Read on...

It's a well documented conspiracy theory. Problem is: it's still a conspiracy theory, which means more work, more research, more conclusions , and more advocacy to counter decades of organized propaganda style brainwashing about "saving the planet." The thing I liked most about this book is Ball's explanation of why so many "scientists" defected to selling the alarmist "conclusions" based on bogus data. The answer is they were duped by Club of Rome types into the belief that the ends justified the means. I used to think that the "climate scientists" fudged the data because they knew that the more alarmist the outcomes, the more funding they could command. What now appears more likely: right-thinking scientists and their bosses were recruited by senior ideologues such as George Soros and Maurice Strong to perform their deception. Their reward was to be recognized as the "world's leading climate scientists."

Dr Ball concisely and in simple language explains the problems with IPCC and their fixation on CO2. Ever since ClimateGate revealed the lengths that certain scientists would go to ensure that only their predetermined answers would get published, and that their data and methods were not revealed to others to validate (or otherwise), more and more disturbing evidence comes to light about the overarching objectives. The cartoons are terrific.

Impressively sourced summary of the actual science behind Earth's temperature fluctuactions. Uncovers the hoax science of IPCC and similar organisations.

Its important to note that the data in the book are now almost 10 years old, so the conclusions can not be taken dogmatically. But the biggest issue in climate "science" is still the same - any opposition voices are marginalized, shunned and called "Climate Change Deniers". So, unfortunately, it can not be called science, since science requires open, non-censored discussion.

Read this to try and hear the “other side’s” arguments and get exposure to new information that may challenge my perspective. While the idea that global temperature oscillations are a pattern dispersed over very long periods of time was thought-provoking, this was more or less the only pro. The book was riddled with grammar/spelling mistakes and rudimentary figures that don’t seem to be backed up by any referenced data. As a scientist myself I am very surprised another scientist published this in good conscience. Scary some may read this to validate their beliefs.

Devastating exposé of Global Warming Scam

This is a light summary book of Ball’s more comprehensive book “The Deliberate Corruption of Climate Science” - also a must read. The smaller book uses Ball’s typically humorous approach to cover the basics of the Fraud, ranging from the incorrect science to the eco-movement’s origins in socialism and population control. For full references you will need to obtain the comprehensive book.

I recommend this book for those who want to pull back the curtain on perhaps the biggest deception in human history. Tim Ball has candidly and clearly revealed the who, why, when and how the human caused “climate change”, aka “global warming” charade has evolved. It has already had devastating and costly economic effects for multitudes throughout the world, especially for those that can least afford it.

A book in desperate need of an editor, though I understand the requirements of self-publishing on a shoestring.
Lost me at "chemtrails" and any mention of the Bilderbergs.
There are better books on the science (which is actually fine, just jumps around too much).

This is a well written book and simply explains the truth not being told by the leaders, universities and left media. Explains the reason and the people who are propitiating the deception on the world. A must read for anyone who is feeling the desire to hear another side of the debate...the real truth!

Pohjoisnavalla jääpeite ei sitten sulanutkaan, eivätkä jääkarhut kuolleet sukupuuttoon. Gore meni myös väittämään että 400 ppm:n CO2-tasot olisivat kaikkien aikojen korkeimmat, vaikka viimeisen 300 miljoonan vuoden keskiarvo on ollut noin 1200 ppm eli kolminkertainen nykytasoon verrattuna.

Niin kuin tiedetään, nykyään eletään vielä Holoseenisen jääkauden jälkimmäistä puoliskoa, ja viimeisen kymmenen tuhannen vuoden aikana pohjoisella pallonpuoliskolla optimilämpötila on ollut muutaman asteen nykyistä korkeampi. Nykyään levitetäänkin paljon disinformaatiota ilmaston lämpenemisestä, ja näissä graafeissa tavataan aloittaa 1800-luvun puolivälin jälkeen, jolloin niin sanottu pieni jääkausi oli jo historiaa. Niistä ajoista toki ilmasto on lämmennyt, mutta jätetäänkin kertomatta, että ollaan vielä jäljessä keskiaikaisesta lämpimämmästä ajanjaksosta, ja siihen on meilläkin vielä matkaa eikä silloin ollut tupruttelevia tehtaanpiippuja, hiilivoimaloita, polttomoottoreista puhumattakaan.

Muutamissa kohdin Ball pääsee aiheeseen aika lailla pintaa syvemmälle, kun ilmastonmuutosagendaa taustoitetaan, ja avuksi kaivetaan Thomas Malthus (1766–1834) ja jo hänen silloin esittämänsä teoria, että maapallo on aivan liikakansoitettu ja sen kantokyky ylitetty. Paul Erlich on jatkanut Malthusin viitoittamaa tietä teoksessaan ”The population bomb”, jossa hän esitti jo 1970-luvun olevan ratkaiseva, kun ruokahuolto romahtaa maailmanlaajuisesti. John Holden puolestaan jatkoi Erlichin kanssa malthusilaisittain, ja tavoitteeksi asetettiin ihmismäärän vähentäminen vaikka pakkosterilisoimalla ja perustamalla jonkinlaisen planetaarisen hallituksen, joka kontrolloisi kaikkea taloudesta oikeuteen elää. Tästä päästäänkin globalisteihin ja Rooman klubiin ja sitä kautta valtaeliitin tavoitteisiin. Esille nostetaan erityisesti yksi Rooman klubin kantavista voimista eli Maurice Strong, jonka myötävaikutuksella masinoitiin Agenda 21 ja ylipäätään Yhdistyneiden kansakuntien ympäristöohjelma (UNEP, englanniksi United Nations Environment Programme). Rion kokouksessa sitten vuonna 1992 tehtiin YK:n ilmastonsuojelun puitesopimus (UNFCCC, englanniksi United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change), jossa päätettiin, että nimenomaan ihmisten aiheuttama CO2-päästöt ovat syynä ilmaston lämpenemiseen. Tuolloin siis luotiin illuusio, että tällä ja Hallitustenvälisellä ilmastonmuutospaneelilla eli IPCC:llä (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) on tieteellisesti validi ja virallinen näkemys ilmastoasioissa. Strong oli myös perustamassa Maailman ilmatieteen järjestöä eli WMO:ta (englanniksi World Meteorological Organization), joka on byrokraattinen ylikansallinen ilmastoelin maiden hallitusten kontrolloimiseksi.

Nykyisen tutkimuksen valossa ja maapallon eri ilmastonmuutoksen aikakausina miljardien vuosien aikana on havaittu, että lämpötilan muutos edeltää CO2-muutosta. Vaikka tästä on yleinen konsensus, silti IPCC:n tietokonemalleissa järjestys on päinvastainen, eli kohonneet hiilidioksidimäärät lisäisivät lämpötilaa. Nykyään tietokonemalleihin perustuneiden lämpenemisennusteiden ja toteutuneen välinen ero kasvaa koko ajan, sillä muutamien viimeisten vuosikymmenten aikana lämpeneminen ei ole lisääntynyt juuri ollenkaan. On hyvä myös tiedostaa, että noin 85% maapallon pinta-alasta ei ole lainkaan säätilatietoja, ja muutoinkin saatavilla olevia lämpötilatietoja peukaloidaan hypoteesiin sopivaksi, eli tässä tapauksessa esimerkiksi fossiilisten polttoaineiden päästöihin, kun pyritään kohti hiilidioksidittomia energialähteitä esimerkiksi pakottamalla ja verottamalla.

A quick, important read! You could seriously read it in one day, so do it! But of course, the people who need to read it the most, won't. It is also filled with hard data and facts. Great graphics and charts. I especially loved where he showed an entire graph of data and then showed the part of the graph that the IPCC cut and pasted to fit their hypothesis, leaving out the portions that would disprove their theory (or fact, as they would have you believe). As Thomas Huxley said, "the great tragedy of science was a lovely hypothesis destroyed by an ugly fact." Ha ha! Some of the highlights:

"Around 1998, global temperatures began to level and decline while CO2 levels continued to increase. This was in complete contradiction to the AGW hypothesis and indicated the science was wrong. Correct science re-examines the hypothesis. Incorrect science, as practiced, simply changed the name from global warming to climate change." (pg. 20)

"The IPCC assumes an increase in CO2 causes a temperature increase. It doesn't. Every record for any period shows that temperature increase BEFORE CO2. The only place CO2 increase precedes a temperature increase is in IPCC computer models." (pg. 27)

"The bigger problem is that the IPCC did not follow the normal scientific method that requires the creation of a hypothesis based on a set of assumptions. The hypothesis was that a CO2 increase would cause a temperature increase, and CO2 will continue to increase because of human industrial and other activities. This became known as the anthropogenic global warming (AGW) hypothesis, discussed earlier. Normally, other scientists perform their role as skeptics, by challenging and trying to disprove the hypothesis. Instead, they worked to prove it and attacked any who challenged it. As Dr. Richard Lindzen said, the consensus was reached before the research had even begun." (pg. 54)

"Remember, weather records are inadequate... there are virtually no stations for at least 80 percent of the earth. Most stations are concentrated in eastern North America and western Europe, but even those are less than 100 years old. There are virtually no stations for the 70 percent that is ocean. On the land, there are virtually no stations for the 20 percent that is mountains, the 19 percent grasslands, and the 40 percent forests. The data is inadequate as the basis for building computer models and scientific analysis and definitely must not underpin global changing energy and environment policies." (pg. 63)

Referencing Elaine Dewar's book "Cloak of Green": "...environmentalists are not what they claim. They use the environment as a vehicle to push a socialist, total government controlled, agenda. Dewar planned a book praising Canadian environmentalists including Elizabeth May, David Suzuki, and Maurice Strong. Dewar kept an open mind and did not set out to prove her hypothesis. The research showed that these Canadian environmentalists were more corrupt and manipulative than the people they attacked. May and Suzuki misused and misrepresented data ostensibly for saving the planet but in reality for a global agenda.... That is why Dewar concluded, after spending a few days with Strong at the UN that, 'Strong was using the UN as a platform to sell a global environment crisis and the Global Governance Agenda.'". (pg. 102-3).

Did you know the polar ice caps shrink in the summer?! Hmm - what a concept. And then they grow back to their large size in the winter. You know that famous picture of 2 polar bears standing on an iceberg? Even the photographer said it is shown out of context. The polar bears ran to the end of the ice to look at the passing ship.

The conclusion sums it all up nicely: "The global warming deception involved deliberately isolating human produced CO2 as the cause. The environmentally friendly reason used was to save the planet. The real objective was to eliminate capitalism and its industrial engine while reducing world population. The proposed replacement was socialism and alternative enrgies t- the Green Agenda. It fails everywhere it is tried because socialism fails even when it is presented as a plan to save the planet. To paraphrase H.I. Mencken, 'The urge to save the planet is almost always a false front for the urge to rule.'". (pg. 116)

In 1998, global temperatures began to level and decline and CO2 levels increased, so the focus was then changed from global warming to "climate change." People were not sufficiently alarmed with that term,
so it was again changed to "climate crisis." The subsequent step was to amp up the fear and now we are in a "climate emergency." Will the next step just be "We're all going to die next week!"? Climate is naturally always changing. The very foundation upon which climate models are designed is one giant lie as the IPCC models on anthropogenic global warming do not incorporate the Medieval Warm Period or the Little Ice Age which account for approximately 800 of the past 1,100 years. People who criticize this author for cherry picking his facts can't deny the fact that all of their climate models are faulty, so therefore none of their facts can be believed.

Not a fun read, but an essential report on the primary attack on the western way of life. The facts are incontrovertible. The high priests of the green cult agenda are exposed dripping with evil intentions against civilization. The science exposed is common knowledge to any adult who has studied the issue. There is a great deal of insider background info on UN Agenda 21 that many informed activists have been warning us will destroy economies with no positive environmental influence.
Unfortunately few wokesters have any clue about real science and this overview from 10,000 feet is not going to change their worldview. But for any openminded thinking adult it will expose the truth about the world wide scam of global warming.

Layer by layer Dr. Ball reveals the deceptions

Dr Ball goes through the history, step by step, of the reasons, premises and deceptions that convinced the public that there is catastrophic anthropogenic global warming. This is a seminal book by one who is qualified and experienced with a PhD in Geography with a specific focus on historical climatology from Queen Mary University of London in England in 1983 plus Dr Ball has published a number of peer-reviewed papers in the field of historical climatology.

While I thought the book to be very thought provoking on the deception of climate change, I feel the author could have used the services of a good editor, because it almost seems like a climate alarmist did the editing! Places where the phrasing was stilted or words dropped from sentences, and the figures really needed figure numbers and captions. But other than such minor details I think he presented the data fairly well showing anthropogenic global warming for the dangerous deception that it is.

A book about reality

No doubt that the author has made up his mind but he attempts to present the facts, which ring true.
