Anthology. Averaging the stars, this book rates as 2 stars.
1. To Kiss a Gargoyle by Sally Painter. An okay story. I've read other short gargoyle stories and liked the tortured hero aspect. This was strange. The woman literally dry humps a gargoyle statue on a building's ledge having pulled off her pantyhose and panties, and then finds out all she had to do was kiss him. **
2. Tall, Dark & Deadly by Margaret L. Carter. Eloise has written an adult book named "Varney the Vampire". That's right an adult book named "Varney the Vampire" that 800 pages long that she wants to adapt to a movie screenplay with the help of an actor "pretending" he's a vampire. This story was pretty awful. Trying to be melodramatic but failing, trying for emotional but failing. I didn't care for any of the characters and the dramatic scene at the cliff's edge wasn't dramatic at all. Actually it ended up pretty heartless. Yuck! *
3. Curse of Brandon Lupinus by Shelly Munro. This story was the best but the ending was WTF! I would have given it 4 stars if not for the ending. Jess buys a haunted house, meets the ghost Brandon and then has an unhappy/kind-of ending. ***
So very trashy, no room for plot development due to the very very short stories. It's basically porn without plot, which would be acceptable if the porn was good.
Really more like 3.5 stars for this weak threefer from Ellora's Cave.
To Kiss a Gargoyle by Sally Painter - Lots of hot steamy action in this short story about a woman obsessed by the gargoyle outside her office window. She goes a bit further than just obsession and finds out gargoyles aren't just beings of fantasy. Steamy gargoyle lionman sex with a little clone menage at the end.
Tall, Dark, and Deadly by Margaret Carter - Eloise has an idea for a script. To sell it, she finagles a meeting with star actor Claude. Their attraction is hot and desperate, but will she be willing to live with what he is? Lots of dreamy vampire sex...and biting.
Curse of Brandon Lupinus by Shelley Munro - Best of the lot here with a ghost werewolf and the woman who is restoring his old home. Will she help him break his curse? Floating ghost sex and man sex!
Not the best but certainly not the worst. Worth a read.
A werewolf, a vampire and a gargoyle walk into an editor’s office….4 tombstones over all for this delightful trio of things that go bump in the night...

The first story was just plain silly. The third was okay, fairly standard for this type of fantasy. The second story was the one that I enjoyed the most. More connection between the characters and more storyline.
This one was ok. Not my favorite. The stories were hokey, and the steamy scenes weren't so steamy. I'm glad i read it so i can say i did but i probably won't recommend it.
