I've been studying A Course in Miracles for 16 years. It teaches only love. I'm only just beginning, I've only scratched the surface. It's a mediation, it's a prayer, it's a song of joy and peace. It comforts, inspires, blesses and motivates. It encourages reflection of belief and perception. One of the few books I read and refer to again and again.

This course was a challenge for the part of me that wants to analyze and understand, and I realize ACIM is a process. It is a spiral cycle that builds on itself, rather than linear. ACIM presents itself as a channeled reinterpretation of the bible that sees us all as One in God/spirit, as opposed to our individual egos that see all as separate. It leads us to change our mind and way of thinking, not to change the world. I feel like it’s had some influence on my way of perceiving, but it’s that t ...more

One page at a time. I have probably began reading this in the fall of 2007, certainly by the spring of 2008, and I just finished the first (main) section today (23Jan2011). During this same time period, my wife read the entire thing AND completely went through the Workbook for Students, and has started going through it again! I still have the Workbook for Students and the Manual for Teachers to go. What do I think? Well, I guess everyone needs something to believe in. Although I do not particula ...more

While the ideas in the book are consistent with what I believe to be true. I had an incredibly hard time getting past the male pronoun. there is no reference anywhere in the book that women exist. There are only men, sons, brothers and fathers. there are no women, sisters, daughters or mothers. What kind of world is this? not really one i want to live in. I know the book is older, but it was still so troublesome for me. I tried to convert everything to Goddess, but it got tiring. I couldn't hear ...more

Of several books that changed my life, casting into long-ago history my experience with totalitarian religion, "A Course in Miracles" is the most important part of my spiritual re-education. It's simply inspired. It's the perfect place to go to look for relief from the insanity of the world we live in, to discover a gentle approach to uncovering the love, peace, and joy life should be.

I have not completed the course yet, but I have been working on it for several months now. Already it has radically changed my perceptions. It proposes a way of saving ourselves and all those around us from the heaviness of our egos. It explains how to raise yourself out of ego perceptions, which is huge because as much as we might want to love our neighbor, we don't exactly know how to do it. This course teaches you a practical way to do that. It is truly life altering. With that said, there ar ...more

Took forever to read. Pages are super tissue-paper thin.

This book came highly recommended, but honestly I couldn't even get through the whole thing. Maybe it's because this type of stuff doesn't really grab me. I found it to be extremely long-winded, the entire book could have been much shorter than it was. A lot of my very spiritual friends consider this their Bible, but this just wasn't the right book for me. One man's trash is another one's treasure I suppose. There are just way too many books out there for me to try and power my way through and f ...more

Overwhelming yet transformative. I'll be doing the course again in 2017. It's given me something to strive for that truly brings results. I had so many setbacks and learning experiences this past year, however I've gained a clarity I never knew despite my unfortunate lack of discipline in the lessons. I'm able to clearly see the ego at work and distinguish it from the higher self in my everyday thoughts and actions despite so often choosing to let it get the upper hand. It's a big step in the di ...more

The story of the creation of this book is as remarkable as the book itself. Although this book is at times a difficult read, it is an insightful and brilliantly written book on the subject of spirituality.

An understanding of spiritual principles and human psychology is brought together in a way that cannot easily be compared to any other book. This book has a following having literally changed lives. A 365 day course is included that can be performed along with reading the workbook section of t

An epic text that offers tremendous insight into the false projections of our mind and the self defeating beliefs we hold about life. This particular edition includes the 365 lessons which are extremely helpful in healing the mind. If you really want to know what Jesus was trying to teach 2000 years ago, and your ready to wake up, then check this out!

This is my third time through the Course and it will not be my last. Much like Buddhism, it is not a religion, but a science of the mind. It is the great undoing of the thoughts that separate us from our true self. This wondrous book helps us return to our true self and guide us back to oneness. It is a great Miracle to me.

WOW!!! Wonderful!! The most complete, whole and consistent work I have ever read on spirituality. I wish I could say it was dramatically life changing, as it should be if you buy in, which I did! But not yet.....
