Sweet and cute little omegaverse that probably deserved a better title.
There is a part that's sad that I wish didn't happen the way it did. Sebastian was the king and could have controlled the situation better, but just didnt? 🤷♀️

Gus was such a good man. He showed Seb that he could have more, that they could be more. The gifts for him had me swooning. He showed him what life could be life while still being King.

I love the found family in this as well, the other characters were so great. I hope we get to hear from more of them.

Review:
I really enjoy Omegaverse stories and from the blurb this one seemed right up my alley. Admittedly it did take me a while to get into the story but when I did I ultimately really enjoyed it.
Both of the MC's were great characters but I especially liked Seb. As the King he has the world on his shoulders but doesn't let it stop him from stepping out of tradition, finding love and creating the kind of world he wants for his people.
The longing and the pining between the MCs was written so well and my heart broke for both Gus and Seb during the story. The book was also a lot spicier than I expected, but still left plenty of room for sweetness and romance which I really liked.
I loved the ending of the book, getting the overall plot resolution and seeing both of the MCs happy with their family. There were also a lot of great side characters which I'd like to see more of and hope we get stories for in the future.
Overall this was a really cute story and I'll definitely read the next book in the series when it's released.

amazing start to a series!!!
This was such a cool take on the omegaverse world and I loved every moment. I loved watching the omega be the one in power for a change. Power, but still have omega qualities that I love in this world. I could have kept reading about this couple. I didn’t want to leave. I love how they saw each other. Saw thru the stereotypes. Saw the humanity in each other. Saw each others softness.
The writing was great as usual. I love everything AE writes. She has a way of sucking you in a story and hitting you with all of the emotions which I like. This was my first read from Regitse and she did an amazing job also. The story flowed together and if I wasn’t told I wouldn’t have known who wrote what part, which is what you want in a multi writer book.
Chefs kiss on the spice. This had all the things spicy things I need in a omegaverse. Knotting, pleasing, begging, care, claiming, possessiveness, mine, don’t mess with mine. With the fates all up in it.
Can’t wait for the next book in this series.

King Sebastian is nearing the end of his peak years for conceiving an heir, and his advisors set out to find the perfect alpha to breed the king. Introduce Gus: an adorable, and huge, farmer who leads a simple life, working the farm during the day, carving wood in his free time, and trading his work at the market for honey. At first, Seb is wary of the alpha selected for him, but he soon discovers there is more to the story than what he's been told his whole life.
I adored our two MCs and their clearly distinctive voices. I adored the relationship they built. It wasn't quite insta-love, but definitely on the quicker side, and of course the heat cycle made it physical really quickly, and really that was all it was ever meant to be. But what happens when an alpha and an omega fall in love in a world that forbids them from being together? That is what this story is about. It's got the faitytale vibes of "meant to be", it deals with themes of prejudice and acceptance, it's low angst and high heat, and the epilogue had so much adorableness I couldn't contain my giggles!! 🥰
I'm very happy the authors revealed who the couple of the next book will be, and I absolutely predicted it, and I'm glad to see they have more books planned too for this series, and I can definitely think of some side characters whose story I would love to read in the future!

First off, I am so glad I read this book as I’m a huge omegaverse reader and geez, this hit all the spots. From the mpreg aspect, I knew this book was do me. This book was super sweet and to feel such an emotional experience was everything my heart needed.
I loved the concept of where the king was the omega and joy is he fierce and just everything that Gus needed. Gus is the sweetest himbo ever. He’s just so adorable that I just wanted to give him a hug. When these two got pulled apart, I wanted to scream, especially to how it happened.
I just loved how they met. Gus and his love for honey is just the cutest. I really loved the ending because man, Sebastian is just truly the best. I loved how the aspect of alpha and omegas was explained and it was just so beautiful.
I’m now hooked and have to read other books hy both of these shorts because yes please, I just loved how sweet and caring these two were for one another.

Saying I enjoyed this book feels like an understatement. It was the perfect read at exactly the right moment. Sweet, wholesome, comforting… this story wrapped itself around me like the biggest, softest hug, and I honestly did not want to let go.
The worldbuilding is fascinating. In this omegaverse, omegas rule, while alphas are feared, banned, and reduced to one purpose only: breeding. It’s a sharp, unsettling dynamic that immediately pulls you in.
That’s how omega King Seb meets alpha Gus, and from that moment on, everything begins to shift. Their connection challenges everything this world believes to be true and sets the stage for real, meaningful change. Watching that unfold was both tender and deeply satisfying.
The romance is gentle, heartfelt, and full of warmth. Gus is peak himbo energy in the best way, and Seb completely stole my heart. Together, they are soft, hopeful, and quietly powerful.

I was able to read an ARC of this book. I enjoyed the world building and learning how Alphas and Omegas operate in this society. Gus is a sweetheart and Seb is force to be reckoned with. I enjoyed their relationship, and all of the side characters who help keep these two from losing their minds. The plot is similar to some other omega/alpha books I have read where the world fears alphas as dangerous so separates them from Omegas except for when they need one. This was a sweet and adorable romance and I look forward to seeing the next couple (as this is going to be a series)! Can't wait to see how the world develops and grows. If you like mm romance, especially light hearted cozy reads with a bit of spice, minimal turmoil and heartache and are fans of or open to omega/alpha omegaverse books definitely give this one a read when it comes out.

Gus is an Alpha working on Willow Tree Farm, where he has been since he was taken from his Omega father and siblings incase he harmed them. He wakes up and yearns for honey. In search of the nectar he is attacked by bees, and while fending off the bees he is commandeered by the kings assistants, wanting him to breed Seb.
Sebby and Gus form a connection beyond the breeding. Sebby wants to keep Gus and raise their baby together, he needs to find a way to make it possible. He discovers his fathers journals which could hold the answers he is looking for.
This is my first omegaverse, mpreg book. The writing flows so easily and the descriptions from Regitse and Anja are flawless. The way they each wrote a character was beautiful, and made you fall in love with them both, wholeheartedly. Gus was a great big hunk of a gentle giant, and fell for Seb fast. Seb was so strong and held the power.
I loved this book and may give this genre another go at some point.

I loved this book so much! Seb is a strong willed omega king but he also lets his advisor have way too much control...it took a sweet innocent Alpha like Gus to come and show him a different way and it was adorable!! I freaking loved Gus so much!
This book has everything! it was an adorable story of love and overcoming and was so sickeningly sweet! I can't wait for the rest of the series!!

I loved this book so much! Seb is a strong willed omega king but he also lets his advisor have way too much control...it took a sweet innocent Alpha like Gus to come and show him a different way and it was adorable!! I freaking loved Gus so much!
This book has everything! it was an adorable story of love and overcoming and was so sickeningly sweet! I can't wait for the rest of the series!!

I had a good time reading this! The politics when it came to Alphas and Omegas was done in such a unique way. Gus was adorable! He was just a sweet honey loving Alpha who was falling for his Omega and Sebastian was a kind hearted king trying to create his own path as he began to fall for his Alpha. I enjoyed their relationship and the cute moments between them such a Seb having different variations of Honey for Gus to try and Gus using his carpentry skills to create gifts for Seb as well as chats under the table! I also enjoyed the side characters and the friendships that were formed. I’d be interested in more from this world.

This story was funny at times, it was sweet, and it was definitely emotional. I don’t know what it was about this book but it truly made my heart happy. It was so sweet. Both mmcs had my attention the whole time. The spice was really good also. I loved the art throughout. It was a sweet surprise. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Def a 5 star for me ❤️

If you’re looking for a seriously sweet and spicy MM omegaverse book with mpreg, look no further. Seb and Gus have got you covered *cute eyes* I don’t think I could dote on these two anymore than I am already.
Gus is truly goodness and light, and all things nice. I wanted to smother that big cuddly bear of an alpha with cuddles and all the honey he could want (though realistically the huge softy would just want his beloved Seb!). His character is pure sunshine, and his infectious personality absolutely charmed me as well as his king. I dare you to try and not like him!
If anyone needs to learn how to enjoy life and smile more, it’s Seb, though I did really admire his dedication and commitment to doing the right thing for his people. Under pressure to ensure that the alphas aren’t dangerous and create an heir with one of them, he’s understandably reluctant to meet the farmer at first, but wait until he meets our lovable Gus.
Seb’s non-judgemental, kind approach when meeting Gus, and the alpha’s adorable innocence promised many cute encounters between the two, and I couldn’t help grinning like an idiot watching them fall in love. The tenderness between them in their interactions – soft looks, gentle touches, sweet words – I inhaled it all.
I loved how everything about Gus helps to open Seb’s eyes to the truth, and that he finally stands up to his stooopid old advisors. I think they should take a reaaaaally long hike and come across those angry buzzing friends that Gus came across early in the book…
I really loved this take on the omegaverse roles, and how things play out in the end. The story flows beautifully and wraps up everything nicely. I was absolutely longing to meet Gus’s family to see if they were as precious as he was.
A Himbo for My Heat is an adorable first co-write from these two authors and I can’t wait to see what’s to come. They’ve promised us more in the series, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of the side characters, who I already adore. I wouldn’t complain about seeing our king or his alpha again either!

The way I absolutely devoured this book speaks volumes in how much I loved it 😂😈.
It was a unique take on an Omegaverse and a reversal from what we all are used to, but that's what makes this book such a great read! It'll stick with me for a long time to come due to these differences... That and Gus is just such a sweet Himbo cinnamon roll, golden retriever that I want to live in his pocket and protect him from all harm 🥹🫶.
Seb is his greatest supporter, once they get to know one another but there's also an instant connection between the two which I was here for 🔥😏.
This book had me cackling alongside the characters, and swooning during the heat scenes as well as just falling head over heels alongside them 😘💯.
Don't get me wrong, there were times I wanted to RAGE at the injustices of some characters in this book, and that in itself shows how good a story it is 😂 thankfully, all ends well and our two MCs are happy which is what I care about in the end.

I just finished and the end made me cry like a baby. The injustice of tearing families apart hit HARD right now. I am still tearing up despite the utterly completely happy ending that I absolutely adored.
I can’t tell you who I liked more. Gentle giant Gus or tiny tough tornado Seb. This book was so endearing, absolutely freaking spicy as all get out. Seriously, the amount of clothes Seb must go through! Ha! Their relationship development was well paced and so so lovely.
The cast of characters were amazing. I loved Hal, he don’t give no fucks that Seb is the king and I cannot wait for his story with the shy Briar. And Adrian and Corin? Eh, eh? Or who is Bram going to meet on his travels? The possibilities!
This books plot has a very important message and it was delivered with amazing grace, heartwarming characters and villains I loved seeing go down.
I cannot wait for more of this omegaverse!

I truly loved this story. I am a true sucker for a himbo, especially when he finds a love that truly accepts him as he is. Such a simple yet heartfelt story. I loved how there were so many great side characters that I am going to be on the edge of my seat waiting for their stories. One thing that did stick out to me was that in this world, it doesn’t seem like there are any females. I thought that was a really interesting twist to it and made it a more interesting world for the story.

Let me tell you, I always thought that honey was the sweetest, creamiest nectar in the world. And not to dis honey or anything, because I really love it… but it’s not anything like the king’s slick. You can’t compare it.
Oh, and then you probably want to know “who is this Seb guy?”
Fair enough. I’ll tell you. Seb is everything. And then you probably say “no one can be everything.”
But they can. It’s just because you haven’t met my Seb yet. If you met him, you’d agree with me.
But one thing you have to remember is: he’s MINE! And I don’t mean that in a “whose book is this? That’s mine” or a “whose coat is this? That’s mine.”

Es una historia preciosa que se lee en un suspiro; me duró menos de un día y la experiencia fue increíble. Sebastian me encantó; aunque no percibí tanto su lado "grumpy" (porque siempre fue un amor con Gus y con sus amigos), sin duda su lealtad y la forma en que protege a los suyos lo hacen un personaje inolvidable.
Por otro lado, Gus me gustó incluso más! Es el personaje más dulce y precioso que he leído en mucho tiempo; no puedo estar más encantada de haberlo conocido.
El ritmo de la lectura es muy ágil y te mantiene atrapada en todo momento. Si tuviera que poner un "pero", me hubiera gustado un poco más de desarrollo hacia el final, especialmente cuando se descubre lo que realmente sucede en el reino, pero por lo demás, disfruté muchísimo la historia.

I don’t read a lot of omegaverse, but I devour anything A. E. Jensen writes, and have been slowly working my way through the wonderful pnr books by Regitse Liljadorff
So when they announced their co-write, A Himbo for My Heat, I was all in.
This book is an absolute delight. Anja and Regitse have created a world where omegas rule, alphas serve, and magic is used to control alpha’s aggressive nature. It’s a twist I haven’t seen before and it set the stage for one heck of a tale.
King Sebastian rules his kingdom, but has little autonomy in his own life. He’s fair, imperious, and frustrated with advisors pushing him to have an heir. I felt for him that he didn’t even have a say in the alphas chosen for his heat.
As awful as his advisors are, the did one thing right when they chose (abducted) Gus. This sweet, precious man. I fell for him immediately. And wanted to hurt those smug a-holes who made this gentle man feel unworthy.
When Seb and Gus meet, it’s magic. I loved seeing Seb go from disinterest to possessive so quickly, smitten by his honey-loving, virgin alpha. And when Gus confesses he can’t believe he’d ever hurt anyone, let alone Seb, you believe him. And Seb does too.
The steam is off the charts. Even more, the connection and emotional intimacy they share is everything. And there are beautiful moments where Gus brings a wonderful lightness and joy to Seb’s life.
And that’s all you’re getting about the plot because this book is so, so good.
King Sebastian is the kind of leader you want: compassionate, intelligent, and willing to make hard choices. And Gus is the best ever Royal Consort.
Even if you’re not sure about omegaverse, give this book a read. The secondary characters - especially Hal, Adrian, and Elias are amazing. There’s also the mystery of what happened to Seb’s parents. And that HEA? Perfection.
Hal and Briar’s story is next and I can’t wait for this shy, tiny omega and brash, hulking alpha pairing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book is an absolute delight. Anja and Regitse have created a world where omegas rule, alphas serve, and magic is used to control alpha’s aggressive nature. It’s a twist I haven’t seen before and it set the stage for one heck of a tale.
King Sebastian rules his kingdom, but has little autonomy in his own life. He’s fair, imperious, and frustrated with advisors pushing him to have an heir. I felt for him that he didn’t even have a say in the alphas chosen for his heat.
As awful as his advisors are, the did one thing right when they chose (abducted) Gus. This sweet, precious man. I fell for him immediately. And wanted to hurt those smug a-holes who made this gentle man feel unworthy.
When Seb and Gus meet, it’s magic. I loved seeing Seb go from disinterest to possessive so quickly, smitten by his honey-loving, virgin alpha. And when Gus confesses he can’t believe he’d ever hurt anyone, let alone Seb, you believe him. And Seb does too.
The steam is off the charts. Even more, the connection and emotional intimacy they share is everything. And there are beautiful moments where Gus brings a wonderful lightness and joy to Seb’s life.
And that’s all you’re getting about the plot because this book is so, so good.
King Sebastian is the kind of leader you want: compassionate, intelligent, and willing to make hard choices. And Gus is the best ever Royal Consort.
Even if you’re not sure about omegaverse, give this book a read. The secondary characters - especially Hal, Adrian, and Elias are amazing. There’s also the mystery of what happened to Seb’s parents. And that HEA? Perfection.
Hal and Briar’s story is next and I can’t wait for this shy, tiny omega and brash, hulking alpha pairing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I can’t love this book enough! What a beautiful, different and wonderful take on omegaverse.
Omegaverse is my most favorite genre and I could read it all day every day. My issue with omegaverse is that the omegas are always considered worthless, are only a walking womb and have no rights.
Well, imagine my surprise when reading this book the roles are reversed. The alphas are the powerless ones. They’re only good for breeding and have no say in what happens to their children.
As the omega king, Seb had to produce an heir for his kingdom to pass on the magic that kept alphas docile and submissive to the omegas. He had no choice in whom would father his children since alphas were only good for breeding not mating.
That is until he meets Gus. The sweet, gentle and addicted to honey alpha who with his tenderness and kindness slowly warms his way into the king’s heart.
Gus was different from all the alphas Seb had ever met. And it’s this difference that makes Seb start wishing things were different for alphas and omegas. He’s falling fast for the man who is only supposed to breed him and then be sent away as if he never existed.
But when the truth comes out, Seb is determined to get his alpha back and change things in the kingdom. He determined to be a better king than those before him and he has Gus to thank.
The alpha everyone thought of as dumb and slow, was the man responsible for bringing change to the kingdom. A change that allow alphas and omegas to be together.

The history was a secret; the king made changes, and I can't wait to read more about how that will affect everyone. Gus & Seb have a family; they feel seen and loved, and their friends are starting to find interest in others as well. I'm starting to really love this genre.

I love this book. I didn't put it down. I read from cover to cover. Oh my god.I'd been itching for a good MM omegaverse for a couple of days and then this little beauty dropped into my inbox like a higher power was answering all my prayers. Wow, what can I say about this absolute swoon-worthy, heart-shattering, mind-blowing book about a serious and strong but patient omega king and a sweet, shy and kinda dorky alpha farmer who loves honey. I'm not going to lie, Gus, may be the most loveliest character I've ever read about! I'm tearing up just thinking about him. Ugh! 🥺🥺
The spice was utter perfection, round of applause because I enjoyed every second of it, it was fun, there were a lot first times, heat was off the chaaart 🔥!
Anywaaay, this was a forbidden romance, due to social constructs put in place by the first omega king, Seb's grandfather, where omegas are on top of the hierarchy and alphas are used for breeding and manual labour. They're seen as dangerous beings with no self-control. This story hit hard in a lot of different ways. I also loved how it took a different perspective on the omegaverse dynamic, as usually alphas are the more powerful.
I'm not sure they'll be more books to make this a series, but it was left open for a few of the side characters, and it would be fun to read more from these authors!

Needless to say, life isn’t easy for them—neither individually nor together. And when they finally find each other and fall in love, things don’t exactly go smoothly either, thanks to Seb’s grandfather and the royal advisors, who do everything they can to prevent the two boys’ love from being fulfilled.
My heart shattered when the two of them were separated for months, and then they find their way back to each other at just the right moment. And Seb—sweet little Seb—does everything he can to bring change to people’s lives.
It’s a relatively easy read, not overloaded with angst, but there’s still that subtle tension throughout. And let’s not forget the HEA, which this couple absolutely deserves.
I really hope the other characters, Hal and Briar, get their own stories too, because I would love to read about them 🥹

This was a sweet and spicy read. Despite the potential for some gut-wrenching drama, it is notably absent here, so if you're reluctant to dive in due to the fear of having your heart ripped from your chest come on in, the low-angst lake water is fine.
Omegaverse is my guilty pleasure and like many other readers the fact that the traditional dynamic of the alphas being in charge is flipped on its head makes for an fun read. I'm also a bit of a sucker for a royal falling for a commoner, so I was very interested in this story. This was chock full of great omegaverse spice; heat, slick, knotting, marking, mpreg, etc. and the pages went by quickly.
It was good story but it lacked the depth and development to be called great, especially with its oversimplification of solving systemic prejudice. The background plot lacked the necessary development to really pull you into the intrigue of the story and while I can appreciate the secondary characters, seeing them paired off already really sucks the fun out of reading their stories.
