In this exciting installment, Sasha takes on an insurance coverage case that ends up opening a massive instance of corruption and fraud.

It’s almost their one year anniversary so Sasha and Leo have a getaway trip planned but a vacation is not going to happen this year. Sasha and her star witness appear before the DA and soon a grand jury is convened. Now a network of thugs is going to face a trial but before that can happen an undercover agent goes rogue and Sasha and Leo are on the run. Thank heavens for her Krav Maga training.

Just saying, this author can make an insurance case interesting. I really enjoy the characters especially now that they are married. Lots of action and legal maneuvering bring the story to life on the pages and it is hard to put the book down.

On to the next, a novella, before returning to the main series.

Sasha McCandless is getting ready for a Christmas season vacation when she is asked by her supplier of her favorite coffee beans to look into why their insurance claim for a fire that destroyed the building where they had their business was denied while their rest of the tenants claims were not. Some what reluctantly she agreed only to discover that there was a good case for insurance fraud and taking it to the DA ended up opening a large and dangerous can of worms. I find that I like the McCandless mysteries and will surely and some more to my TBR pile.

No Coffee for awhile

I quite enjoy the way one book in this series leads into the next one. I also enjoy the way the series takes one from one part of the country to others. I didn't guess the bad guy in this book, and I'm hoping that the head bad guy gets what he deserves in an upcoming novel. You'll have to read this one in order to understand the title of this review.

Melissa Miller does not disappoint with Irrefutable Evidence, number-7 in the Sash McCandless series. Even though the protagonist characters have been extensively developed in the series’ previous novels, Ms Miller finds a way to introduce additional details to these colorful characters. Also, throughout the series Ms Miller puts Sasha in situations that require thoughtful consideration before choosing the best, not necessarily most expedient, course of action; life is not always ‘back and white’ but depending on one’s training (analogous to muscle memory) gives one the ability to analyze and respond to a situation’s unforeseen variables. to wit: Sasha “found that Krav Maga training principles applied almost as well to her trial preparations as to her self-defense routines. Before a court appearance, she rehearsed her planned moves and responses until they became automatic. She didn’t have to think about them, which allowed her to free up her mental capacity for identifying and readjusting to unplanned moves that her adversary or the court threw at her.”

One thing I like about these Sasha McCandless books: the author takes rather dry procedural tasks for a different aspect of legal investigation in each book and makes it interesting while I learn about it and gain new knowledge and greater understanding. This one deals with insurance fraud, more specifically arson. Sasha gets pulled into a grand jury investigation, gives evidence, and becomes a target herself. Things come to a crescendo in a terrible storm. Good read!

Another Fight for Justice

Book 7 is just as exciting as those that went before. What starts as a simple dispute over an insurance claim quickly escalates into a conspiracy involving the mob. The plot is straightforward, but not predictable, the recurring characters are growing more complex with each book, yet the one-off characters get enough attention to make them real. I’m looking forward to the next installment.

Another good Sasha McCandless novel.

I enjoy the combination of legal terminology and mystery in these books. I still wish they would edit for missing words as I’ve mentioned before about this series of books. I really don’t understand this editing problem but I’ll continue to read the rest of the series as they are a fun, easy read.

Another excellent book to add to this wonderful page turning series.
I love Sasha, Leo and all the other regular characters. I especially love how Leo feels about his wife and how he admits that his selfish about wanting to have her all to himself. I loved when he called her a miniature bulldozer....that was kind of funny.

I’ve been caught by this series. I’ve fallen for the main characters. However, barely anything happens. I’m half through the book and expecting the story to finally unravel, but it does not. and the suddenly I find the story quickly being wrapped up in the Epilogue!

A good story and continuation of the series. Sasha always gets to use her Krav Maga in these stories, and overpowers even well trained opponents.

Leo & Sasha make a good team.

Another good book with interesting writing, characters, and plot. However, I gave it four stars because of editorial errors (missing and wrong words). I like the flow of these chapter books. It was nice to hear how the Bricker/Bennet children are doing with their new guardian.

I realize people have been killed while in protective custody, but I found Ms. Yim's murder to be overkill following on the heels of Mrs. Bricker being killed while she was in the WITSEC program during the last book. Yes, this is fiction, but I hope the U.S. MARSHAL'S SRVC and other government agencies really have a better track record than portrayed in this and the last book.

Still, I really enjoyed the story and the ending finishing on a positive note. I still recommend this book and the whole series.

A Good Read

I never thought I was one to read a legal thriller so much, let alone 7 novels, one after another. I could not put these books down and this last of the series is no exception. Maybe it was the strong female character that was so compelling. Sasha could hold her own in a courtroom as well as up against a male villain intent on injuring her or even worse. The love interest was there but it was not the entire theme of the book. It made the character more human. Leo is also a strong character who balances the life of our fiercely independent female lead. Well written but is this the end? No volume 8?

Sasha McCandless is back at work and trying to enjoy a quiet, married life. She's even planning a romantic beach vacation to celebrate her 1-year anniversary.

But for Sasha, nothing is ever quiet and peaceful for long. A routine insurance appeal turns out to have connections to arsonists and the Mafia, and she's once again fighting for her life.

A quick but enjoyable read. I liked that it was a new storyline and it was very focused. It wasn't exactly detailed or mysterious but it was fun. Solid 4 stars.

habeus Porpois, How Funny is That?

Among the many wonderful things about Melissa Miller's writing is the naturalness of her dialogue. It flows effortlessly. The plot, while quite complex, seems like it took knowledge both of the law and ways to make an illegal buck. Sasha had to break another nose to escape from being killed but, as usual, it was the nose of a bad man so she is excused. It is clear her husband loves her very much or he would have gone to Fiji with some other hot babe.

Irrefutable Evidence (Sasha McCandless Legal Thriller Book 7)

Oh my,this is by far my favorite out of the books I've read in the Sasha thriller series!!! Sasha gets caught up with some really bad guys in this one, and one of those is an agent gone rogue. This bad agent tracks Sasha and Connelly down and plans to kill them both. You have to read this very fast pace book, that keeps you up wanting to see what happens. Surprise ending!!!!!!! -:)

These short novels never disappoint, except perhaps that I finish them too quickly. If you're about to indulge, go back to Ms. Miller's first Sasha novel and read them in order. I am definitely inspired to practice Krav Maga, too.

Another great book about Sasha. However I am missing the longer more detailed stories of the early books. These are great fast reads, but lacking details. They are wrapped up nice and neat and all too fast.

Sasha meets up with the Mob and tackles insurance fraud.

Another great action-packed thriller from Melissa Miller. I found a few typos in the Kindle edition, but nothing that took away from the story. I look forward to the next book in this series.

Good entertainment

Miller writes easy to read and easy to enjoy thrillers devoid of crude language and sex. Great for a rainy day, day on the beach, or any day you want to get lost in a book.

nice Evolution of characters

The tie ins with previous books and the ease with which the characters re-enter each others' lives is a great way to have them grow up, so to speak.
