I finished this in one sitting…. I finished this in one sitting! This was so good I felt joy in my soul reading it.

I will not be posting any spoilers because it is so good you have to experience it yourself.

I will say that Tatyana and Oleg are still learning each other even now. Continuing to see them grow as individuals and with each other has been satisfying and gave me all the feel good emotions. I loved that they retained independence while also coming together. Watching Oleg step back and let Tatyana grow was beautiful! Honestly, top notch book boyfriend material for sooooo many reasons!

My only complaint is that the series is over. I want to explore more of their lives, see them, be their friends haha.

The final book in the Wolf and the Firebird trilogy is everything we expect from Ms. Hunter and more. It's difficult to review this book without giving away the plot from the first two.

Oleg is an old, really old, Russian vampire. His empire is vast. Each district is run by one of his "brothers". Are they all trustworthy? Perhaps some more than others.

Tatyana was a human accountant that worked for Oleg. She is brilliant and beautiful. The handsome Russian seduced her but then, she ran away.

Now they are reunited. She has become a terrin of the Poshni. Even though she was an outsider, she has proven herself to be loyal and fierce when protecting her people.

Oleg and Tatyana share a secret. One that could hurt both their lives if discovered. But if more than two people know, it isn't a secret anymore.

This book felt opulent to me. The wealth, castles, the huge expanse of the Russian territory. It also felt dangerous. Lies, secrets, family history, all combined to make an explosive ending to this story.

Having received an advance copy of this book did not influence my review. I have also purchased a copy of it.

Elizabeth Hunter, you brilliant woman. The final chapters of Oleg and Tatyana's story gripped me from the first chapter, held me breathless through the chaugan scenes, and saw me squealing with curled toes at the intimate moments. One million stars out of five.

I wrapped up the Firebird and the Wolf series the way it started, with me giddy from falling head over heels with not only these two MCs but the entire cast of supporting characters. Hunter's talent for painting vivid scenes in my brain as I devour her books is second to none. The mosaics, the wedding, the epic battle scenes - not a moment went by where I wasn't captivated. I am sorry to see Oleg and Tatyana's story end (for now), they quickly became my favorite MCs of Hunter's over this past year.

"She knew the empire, and she loved the man. The question was, would she be forced to choose between the family that had embraced her to defend the vampire who held half her soul?"

My humble gratitude to the author and Valentine PR for gifting me an advance copy of the book.

Loved this!

I'm a huge fan of all the Elemental books by Hunter. I can't be sure who I love more Ben and Tenzin, Bea and Giovanni, Carwyn and Brigid or Tatyana and Oleg... But I love this latest trilogy. Dive in. The water is absolutely fine.

The firebird reminded the wolf that she was alive and that she had fangs. And the wolf reminded the firebird that his fire was for warmth and not only destruction.

In this enthralling final instalment of the Wolf and the Firebird trilogy, Tatyana Vorona, still barely out of infancy in vampire terms, fully steps into her new identity as Tatyana le Tala of the Poshani, bearer of the ruby goblet. Watching her carefully navigate the layered, treacherous world of vampire politics is one of this story’s highlights with her determination to justify the faith her newfound family has placed in her, Publicly, she stands as a proud representative of the Poshani. presenting a composed and loyal front, in private, however, she leads a far more complicated life as the secret wife of Oleg Sokholov, the ancient fire vampire and formidable lord of the Kievan Rus.

Though this secrecy lends their relationship a tantalising edge, Oleg has grown increasingly weary of hiding the woman he loves. By any measure, theirs is an age-gap romance, brimming with tension and emotional depth that beautifully shows that fire and water can coexist. Oleg is after all a thousand years old, while Tanya has yet to reach double digits in vampire years. Yet that imbalance only heightens the intensity between them. There is something irresistible about seeing the omnipotent fire vampire, possibly in love for the very first time, brought to his knees by a newbie. Oleg longs to claim her openly before the vampire world, but Tanya remains steadfast, unwilling to let her Poshani family doubt for a second where her loyalty lies, no matter how deeply she yearns to openly stand beside him something that only highlights her strength and integrity.

With this book Elizabeth Hunter delivers a powerful conclusion, bringing the series to a close as Oleg confronts a covert rebellion led by a brother eager to resurrect the brutal traditions of their sire and Obsidian Empire masterfully blends mystery and the supernatural with political intrigue, drama, action, and hidden agendas, that captivates from the very first page much like the previous books in the Wolf and the Firebird trilogy. The plot moves at a brisk pace, supported by rich world-building as it sweeps readers across a deeply colourful Russia and the Baltic States. Tanya’s evolution throughout the series is especially compelling. Once a human bookkeeper pulled unwillingly into a hidden world, she struggles to carve out her place while mourning the loss of her humanity. In just a few short years, she transforms into a respected and influential figure within vampire society, masking her fears and insecurities from everyone but Oleg. Her journey makes for gripping reading, and even with the trilogy’s end, I hope we haven’t heard the last of these unforgettable characters.

If there were a frequent buyer punch card for my bookshelf, Elizabeth Hunter would have earned a free coffee, a pastry, and possibly naming rights to my firstborn. She’s an auto-buy author for a reason, and this finale to The Firebird and the Wolf series is a masterclass in how to end with a bang (the emotional kind… mostly).
Oleg and Tatyana’s story goes out in a blaze of glory, balancing political chess matches with the kind of chemistry that could short-circuit a small city. Their romance? Perfect, with enough spice to make you blush, but grounded in something deeper, messier, and achingly real. The push and pull between duty and desire feels authentic, raw, and beautifully complicated. These two don’t just fall in love, they fight for it.
Elizabeth Hunter has always had a talent for sprinkling clever little easter eggs throughout her books, and this installment is no exception. The twists sneak up on you, but when they land, they make perfect sense. It's like realizing the clues were there all along and you just got outplayed (in the best way). Every reveal feels earned, every turn supported by the larger arc.
And speaking of larger arcs, this book ties seamlessly into the wider world of the Elemental series, expanding the universe in ways that feel both satisfying and tantalizing. It’s the literary equivalent of spotting an old friend across the room and immediately wanting to plan the next reunion.
What truly shines here is Tatyana. Watching her fully step into her power is like witnessing a phoenix rise. She's regal, fierce, and utterly unforgettable. Oleg, ever protective and passionate, proves that strength and vulnerability can coexist in one formidable package. Together, they’ve grown and evolved across the series, their journey flickering and flaring like flames in the wind...never easy, always worth it.
Passion. Intrigue. Family. Secrets. Protective instincts. This book weaves them all together into a vibrant, richly layered world that’s ridiculously fun to dive into and impossible to leave without a satisfied sigh.
Five blazing stars. A brilliant conclusion. And if this is truly goodbye (for now), it’s the kind that closes the door gently… while absolutely leaving the window unlocked for more.

HEA or HFN?

Most love stories conclude when the two lovers have overcome seemingly unsurmountable adversity and all other impediments to their relationship and start their Happy Ever After (or at least their Happy For Now). I have often wondered what happens when all external conflicts have been resolved and they are thrown back onto themselves and the mundanities of everyday life.
Of course that is not what happens in this third and final part of Tatjana and Oleg’s story, considering they lead anything but ordinary lives, and being vampires, their ever after is potentially for eternity.

They have been married for a few years, but during that time they have only been able to steal short moments with each other, as both have responsibilities. Tatjana as one of the Perrin of the Poshani and Oleg as the leader of vampiric Russian “Empire”. Tatjana, being very grateful to the Poshani for taking her in as a young and unaffiliated vampire, is intent on proving herself and working tirelessly on expanding business opportunities for the Poshani. Meanwhile Oleg is facing dissension within his own ranks, and having to keep up a facade of hostile tension between himself and Tatjana is increasingly grating on him. So, he concocts a crazy scheme to bring Tatjana closer into his orbit. This sort of works, but it also galvanizes traitors among his people to step up their plans to unalive him for good.

On a more mundane level Oleg and Tatjana also grapple with balancing their professional responsibilities “governing” with their personal relationship, such as where to meet in order to have some private moments, how much affection to show in public, how much “business” information to share. Oleg – being as old as he is – seems to have more problems showing emotion and vulnerability but, considering that he was born in a different era, he is actually doing quite well. He is also getting some good deadpan advice from his MIL, who, strangely is not one bit afraid of this powerful vampire.

There is also some murder and mayhem, but in the end Tatjana and Oleg manage to overcome most obstacles and live their HEA, or at least their HFN.

What an epic trilogy The Firebird and The Wolf turned out to be! The final installment, Obsidian Empire, is here and Elizabeth Hunter really outdid herself in this story. Everything in this book is written with purpose and meaning. It is evident that Elizabeth loves these characters and worked hard to give them all the ending they needed. This entire series captivates readers and pulls them into a world they won’t want to leave.

Tatyana has come so far within the series. While still a newborn vampire, she has stepped into the roles she plays without hesitation. She is intelligent and uses this to beautifully navigate a world that doesn’t want to see her succeed. She is propelled by the faith and love her new family has for her and doesn’t want to disappoint them. The only struggle she shows is the one to rave about her relationship with Oleg and the love they share. These two are fantastic to watch dance around each other, while trying to not let their love be known….yet.

Oleg never thought he would be brought to his knees by a young vampire, but has stopped fighting the love he feels for Tatyana. As he has wanted to hide her in the past, he is ready to show off the woman he loves, however, still holds her safety above all else. These two may be complete opposites, but this is why they are stronger together. I loved reading about their love overcoming all.

Wonderfully paced, this book doesn’t have a boring moment. From beginning to end, Elizabeth entices her readers with political intrigue, hidden love, and unseen enemies. Keeping readers on their toes with twists and turns, this series is impossible to put down once you start reading. Elizabeth is masterful in showcasing an immortal’s humanity, letting love in, and not being afraid to step into your destiny. A must read for any one who loves the fantasy genre.

As always, review any author notes before reading.

Elizabeth Hunter's final book in her vampire series The Firebird and the Wolf did not disappoint! From the beginning the story of Oleg Sokolov, the powerful and feared fire vampire and lord of the Kieven Rus, and his pursuit of the human bookkeeper, Tatyana Vorona, after she became embroiled in the treachery of his daughter made this a series I could not put down. Each previous book's individual subplots, which were always full of action and suspense, ended with some closure but continued to carry and build the over-arching plot of this series. Obsidian Empire is the final culmination of this story, and it was, from beginning to end, a five-star read for me because of its page-turning pace and consuming romance!
There is no doubt that Obsidian Empire is a great story in a great series, but the jewel in this Kokoshnik is the relationship between Oleg and Tanya. Their history was volatile and attraction unavoidable which has made and continues to make for some steamy interactions when they are together (and that's not just because of their fire/water vampire affinities). Tatyana's humble human background keeps her grounded as she matures into an amazing immortal: Tatyana le Tala, the warrior terrin of the Poshani, and bearer of the ruby goblet. She is the perfect complement to Oleg in every way. For Oleg he has finally found love; in his centuries of existence, he has never found anyone who can compare to her. She is the only one who has captured his heart completely and he is bound and determined that one day soon the world will know that she is the Knyagina of the Kieven Rus. If you want to find out for yourself how this story ends, I strongly suggest you get a physical copy of this and the other books in the series as the covers are all gorgeous! I promise you won't be disappointed.

4.5 hearts

Crimson Oath was masterful and convinced my Oleg and Tatyana could be a couple, among other things.  Obsidian Empire is the end of the trilogy; I would start at the beginning.    The development of Tatyana from human to vampire, to a powerful woman in her own right is contrasted with Oleg who is very powerful but learning to combine some patience and kindness with his strength.  It is better now with them on more equal standing.

Together they have issues of still appearing to be indifferent to each other so Tatyana is not seen as disloyal to her own Pashani people.  But they both have problems with Ivan who is Oleg's brother, but is stealing from the Pashani among others. He's also fomenting rebellion against Oleg and advocating a more brutal regime like their father had.  The human trafficking and theft is not so popular in the modern world however.

Oleg comes up with a plan to be able to see Tatyana openly.  It is rather brilliant and fun to see him a little smug about it.  They love each other and each is trying to protect and care for the other.  Not everything goes perfectly but their intentions are good.

I enjoyed the political maneuvering and strategy.  The romance was less exciting because they were both already all in. While this book is longer, it is an engaging and fun read to a happily ever after.

Such a solid conclusion to the Firebird & the Wolf trilogy! 4.5⭐️s

Set five years after the events in Crimson Oath, Obsidian Empire explores the myriad of obstacles Tatyana and Oleg must navigate to publicly reveal their relationship to the vampire world while maintaining their respective clan leadership positions and protecting their people. Complex schemes and nuanced cunning are required of the Firebird and his wolf to thwart the threat of looming political and personal disasters. Tatyana and Oleg are fiercely devoted to their relationship and their people, and they refuse to let either falter.

I loved the nuances of personal growth and reflection in this story. Both characters must face personal fears and revelations, while learning to consider other options than their defaults. The passion and tension between these two could never be doubted throughout the trilogy, but it is on fire in Obsidian Empire! The humor and banter sprinkled through the story add just another layer of realness to the characters and bring additional warmth to the story.

As always, Hunter layers her stories with such rich details, it’s nearly impossible to put the book down. From opulent castles and fantastical powers, to the coziest of settings and nuanced relationships, the story stunningly unfolds with vivid imagery.

Obsidian Empire masterfully ties together an epic tale of what wouldn’t a millennia old vampire do to claim the woman who owns his heart.

Many thanks to Elizabeth Hunter and Valentine PR for the opportunity to read this in advance. This is my honest and voluntary review.

This trilogy wraps up Tatyana and Oleg’s story beautifully and even includes a little nod back to the beginning with our favourite (and currently retired) assassin duo from the Elemental Mysteries. I’ve really loved reading about the Russian portion of the Elemental World! We’re provided with such rich backstory about these endearing characters that it’s impossible not to feel like they’ve always been a main part of the Elemental World/Legacy books. Admittedly for me, it was a gradual process warming up to these two - but this book has now easily cemented them (as well as their family/friends) as some of my favourite characters. There’s such a lovely blend of intriguing mystery, passionate romance and witty humour here. I’m left feeling content that all loose ends were nicely tied up while still leaving lots of room to dip back into their journey again at any point in the future. I received an advance copy of this book for free from the author so that I could give an honest review and I’m so happy to report that I absolutely loved it! The Firebird and the Wolf have a story that definitely shouldn’t be missed.

What a story! Elizabeth Hunter has outdone herself.

The thrilling conclusion to Oleg and Tatyana’s story was better than I could have imagined. I have loved everything Elizabeth Hunter has written, in large part due to her incredible character development. She has a way of making you have strong feelings about nearly everyone, even the minor characters. That said, all we had really gotten from Oleg in previous stories was a good look at his incredible arrogance. When I first heard he was going to have a whole series, I honestly wasn’t as hyped as usual. But I will always read anything this author writes and boy did she not let me down. Oleg turned out to be one of the most complex characters Ms. Hunter has ever written. The complicated balance of his power, audacity and cunning with his haunted past, artistic soul and yearning for family ties was so masterfully executed that he has become one of my favorite characters, which is saying a lot in this Elemental World full of beloved vampires. And to imagine a woman who might counter that balance in every way, again, it’s hard to imagine anyone but Tatyana. Absolutely stunning!

Obsidian Empire is an absolute triumph! Elizabeth Hunter weaves a mesmerizing tale of immortal power, ancient clans, and forbidden love that will leave you breathless. Tatyana's transformation from bookkeeper to a formidable leader is both inspiring and heart-wrenching, while Oleg's fiery passion and unbreakable will make him an irresistible hero.

The chemistry between Tatyana and Oleg is electric, their secret romance adding layers of intrigue and longing to the story. Hunter masterfully balances the personal and the political, creating a world where love and loyalty are constantly tested by betrayal and ambition. The stakes are high, the tension is palpable, and the payoff is oh-so-satisfying.

With its richly drawn characters, intricate plot, and lush prose, Obsidian Empire is a must-read for fans of paranormal romance and urban fantasy. Elizabeth Hunter has crafted a truly unforgettable story that will stay with you long after you turn the final page. Prepare to be swept away by this dark and passionate tale of love, power, and redemption.

Elizabeth Hunter is one of my auto-buy authors for a reason! This book was perfectly crafted and a wonderful conclusion to The Firebird and the Wolf series. I love the dynamics between Tatyana and Oleg and this book really highlighted the nuances between political life and burning passion being at odds with one another. Their love is spicy (a solid 2 peppers) and complicated and feels real and raw. Hunter is always fantastic at leaving easter eggs to find throughout her stories to foreshadow what will happen and this is no exception. The twists and turns were unexpected but well supported and made since in the greater scheme of the story. I love how well this ties into the greater world of the Elemental series as well and can only hope there may be more to come in this world. Overall, I loved this one and it was an extremely satisfying conclusion to the series. This is a solid 5 star read and I would recommend this series to literally anyone looking for a fantastically written urban paranormal romance.

Thank you to Valentine PR for the gifted eARC.

Oh, how I have missed you, Oleg! Such an arrogant and smug bastard, but I love him so much! This final book in The Firebird and The Wolf series was everything. Everything about how they had to act in public versus private was so entertaining and amusing. I love how much Tatyana has grown since book 1 and even how much Oleg continues to adore and worship her. And also how persistent he is to get everything he wants!

Even though they are married, the tension between them was still amazing since they couldn’t be with each other all the time. It was honestly explosive when they came together 😉! I enjoyed a lot of our new and old side characters in this one. Sándor actually became my favourite alongside Mika (who I loved already from the other books). I hope that maybe there may be some more books that include them eventually.

The politics, the scheming, and every plot turn and twist kept me hooked through the whole thing! So yes, if you want to read a vampire series with a very strong, aggressive, and charming vampire, this is a series you should add to your TBR!

Well, another amazing Elizabeth Hunter series comes to an end and while I’m sad about that, I’m also wildly satisfied with Oleg & Tatyana’s ending. I don’t want to spoil anything for you guys but I will say that despite being (secretly) married now, these two characters stay true to their stubborn selves until the very last page. This book was jam packed and never dragged. There was scheming, there was sneaking, there was sabotage, there were numerous spicy reunions, there were new faces and old, there was blood, there was fire, there were flashbacks and the family drama…well, the family drama probably would have even shocked Jerry Springer (if you don’t understand that reference, ask your mom). If you haven’t started this series yet you’re doing a disservice to yourself. Hopefully we’ll see Oleg and Tatyana in some form in some of Elizabeth’s future books because I’m not ready to say a permanent goodbye to them yet.

Thank you so much to Elizabeth and Valentine PR for the ARC of 𝗢𝗕𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗘!

I have been so looking forward to this final installment of Oleg and Tatyana’s story! The drama, the tension, the absolute deliciousness of “public antagonists, secretly together” - especially because it feels like their real joy is playing political chess against each other, so not all of the machinations are just for show.

Also, even being set in the modern age, there was an element of historical court drama that was so much fun to read; we’re in the old world style of vampire courts, and I loved every moment of it. (The name dropping was excellent.)

I also really enjoyed the (often bittersweet) relationship dynamics between Oleg and his brothers that we get to see more of this book - and of course, a return of some of my favorite side characters. (Mika still needs a vacation; Ludmilla and Oksana have my whole heart.)

I was truly sorry for this series to come to a close, but it was such a good journey!

Obsidian Empire” is the third and final book in “The Firebird and The Wolf” series by Elizabeth Hunter. The theme of this book seems to be “Kill Ivan.” You almost (not really) feel some kinda way for the poor dude. – Yes, I’m joking. We ALL want to kill Ivan. LOL. Even with “Let’s choose violence today!” as everyone’s objective when it comes to Ivan, “Obsidian Empire” truly is a passionate love letter from Oleg to Tatyana, a love she returns just as fiercely.

Starting out as side-characters in other books in Ms. Hunter’s Elemental universe, Oleg and Tatyana hopped on center stage, burned up the pages and quickly became one of the Haven’s (rabid fans of Ms. Hunter’s books) favorite vampire power couples. So, naturally we are sad that their story arc has come to an end-ish. I have a feeling we will be seeing them in some form or fashion in the future. Fingers crossed.

I had an opportunity to read an advanced copy of "Obsidian Empire."

This is the final book of this Firebird and the Wolf trilogy and it wraps up the story line nicely. You will have to have read the precious books in order to follow the story.

This one takes place a few years after the 2nd book. Tatyana and Oleg are very much in love but they are still hiding their relationship and missing each other terribly.

There is lots of scheming and planning and vampire pomp in this. It touched a just a bit too political for me but such is the world of the vampire kings. I did love Oleg and Tatyana together. I love the setting and all the side characters.

Great way to finish out this story line. Nice little easter egg hidden in this one for fans of her other work in this world. Grab all 3 and enjoy getting to know the vampires of Russia.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Obsidian Empire is the third and final book in the Firebird and the Wolf trilogy. Tatyana and Oleg’s story comes to a satisfying conclusion but the path to their HEA is paved with secrets, betrayal, and bloodshed.

Obsidian Empire was everything I had hoped it would be and so much more. I’m sad to see these characters go, or get relegated to background characters in future books, but the author ends their trilogy in spectacular fashion. The novel is full of action, adventure, passion, and suspense.

The writing is fluid and cohesive, never becoming wordy or confusion. The conversations flow, the character development dynamic, and the continued world-building strong and vivid. The pacing of the story is perfect, never too fast or too slow.

I became lost in Tatyana and Oleg’s final story.

I don’t want Oleg and Tatyana to end

I find myself yet again finishing in one sitting, just as the sun is rising. When Elizabeth first told us that she was writing Oleg and Tatyana’s story I was excited just for another story. The characters didn’t matter as much to me then. I was just happy for any chance to return to this world. The depth of my love for Tatyana and Oleg grew with each book, and really should not have surprised me. After all Elizabeth has somehow managed to create a world and characters that each speak to different parts of my soul in every book that I have picked up since A Hidden Fire found its way to me 11ish years ago. I am beyond happy that they got the happy ending that they both deserve, while also holding out hope that this isn’t the end for them.

What an incredible end to this trilogy!!! It had a bit of a slow build, but when things get rolling god it’s so good! So much plotting and things finally progressing and epic fight scenes. Chapter 31 though gave me goosebumps it was just so damn amazing.

I have fallen so in love with Oleg and Tatyana. I love their banter and heat. Oleg is gahhh so delicious. I love his confidence and his fire 😏
Tatyana becomes even more badass in this book. The beheading snowmen absolutely cracked me up 😆
Seriously though I just love them.

If you like bantery romance, vampires, and the politics that come with it then you will love this series! Honestly though I would love it if people start all the way at the beginning so they can also be thoroughly engulfed in this world 😆

Fantastic finale!

Elizabeth Hunter writes such beautiful, real characters! Yes, they're vampire stories, but the characters are so flawed, gorgeously normal in their struggles in life and love that you can almost see yourself in them.

Oleg Sokolov is the vampire lord of the Kievan Rus and his love is the newest member of the Poshani Terrin. This has provided much turmoil for both of them. Added to his family complications. Can he kill his brother and still hold the tenuous control over his very large territory? Can Tatyana continue to hide her love for Oleg and rule her people, who are loyal to a fault?

Political upheaval? Yes. Stolen moments of passion? Yes. Family division? Yes.

This final book in the Firebird and the Wolf series is nothing short of brilliance.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again, Elizabeth Hunter is criminally underrated and if you haven’t read her books, you are seriously missing out. This was the perfect conclusion to this trilogy and I am so sad that it is over. Oleg and Tatyana have been on quite the journey and I absolutely loved watching their growth both individually and as a couple. Tatyana is so fierce and cool. She overcomes so much but never falters in knowing her worth. Seeing Oleg become a truly supportive partner and putting his ego aside for his love was such a green flag. An absolute must read series for sure!

Thank you to Elizabeth and Valentine PR for this ARC in return for my honest review. My opinions are my own.

This is the last book in the Wolf and the Firebird trilogy. Tatyana Vorona, steps into her new identity as Tatyana le Tala of the Poshani. and in private, the secret wife of Oleg Sokholov, the ancient fire vampire. This was a great ending to the series, but open-ended enough that if more stories with them were to come out, I would not be sad about it.

I love Elizabeth Hunter's writing. She creates these worlds and characters that are not just two-dimensional, but complex and messy. I love the relationship between Tatyana and Oleg. Their chemistry is off the charts, but they are both strong personalities, with different life experiences that shape how they approach conflicts that come their way.

Oh my! I absolutely love Oleg and Tatyana!! This book covered so many aspects of their relationship and of the inter dynamics of both the Poshani and of Oleg’s clan.
I was captivated by the both story and the relationships that develop. We learn so much about both families and about Oleg and Tatyana themselves.
There is drama, danger and excitement all around Oleg and Tatyana. They deal with enemies as they learn to trust and love each other. There is so much romance and they develop such a deep love between them. I just fell more in love with them!!
I was no where ready for this book to end! I can’t wait to see them again in another book!!

This was the best way to (mostly) wrap up the story that is Oleg and Tatyana.

The character development in both main vampires was absolutely superb. I was immediately drawn in to the story and how much they have changed and grown from the first book (and, really, since we first saw them in Dawn Caravan).

I was especially thrilled with a character from Tatyana's past coming back into her life. I was hoping we would find out what happened to them. I was also excited to see a brief but important connection to previously loved characters making a cameo appearance.

All in all, an amazing book and I cannot wait to see where the Elemental Universe goes next.

Tatyana and Oleg are HOT!!! This is a fantastic ending to this trilogy. I am sad to see it go but man what a ride. Oleg is after his terrible brother Ivan and Tatyana has now come into her own as a leader of a very ancient secret group. I love the clash and come together of Oleg and Tatyana they can ignite in a snowstorm! I love this world that Elizabeth Hunter is created and I am pretty sure if she wrote a service manual I would read that too!!

You should read Blood Mosaic and Crimison Oath before before reading Obsidian Empire.

I received an advanced copy of this book from the author and am leaving this review voluntarily
