In an unexpected turn of events, Ivy must choose whether or not to let go of the one person she has always loved. Lorenzo discovers the root of her courage but will never win her as his mate unless he learns to listen to his heart.

Dannika Dark

Four Days is book four in the Seven series by Dannika Dark. This is Ivy and Lorenzo’s story.

Dannika Dark

We have gotten to know Ivy in the previous book and she is always the quiet, reserved member of the Weston Pack. But Ivy is really a tough, outspoken alpha female. She has so much wisdom for her young years. We get to know of her history and Ivy has not had an easy life. There are many dark secrets in her past, secrets she wished could have stayed hidden. But a man who was once her father’s second in command, Fox, has come back into her life. His presence is not a welcome thing, he is a danger to Ivy and to her family. Why has he come back into Ivy’s life after all this time? What does he want?

Four Days (Seven, #4) by Dannika Dark — Reviews, Discussion ...

“Don’t give your love to a man who would rather hold a sword in his hand than the heart of a woman.”

We have also had the pleasure to meet Lorenzo Church in previous books. He is a pack master of a huge pack and always came off as a tough, hard as nails man who rules with an iron fist only. There is no love or compassion within his pack. Ivy intrigues him though. They share the same heritage but it is her spirit that calls to him.

“I don’t believe our paths will cross again.
A smile stretched across his face. “They have crossed three times. If a fourth comes around, I might call it fate.”

panthers and wolves - Google Search

An accident brings Ivy to his door step so during the four days she stays with him, their relationship evolves and secrets are shared. Could it be possible that Ivy is the one that his grandmother foretold would enter and change his life? Could Ivy be his fated mate?

 photo images_zps0acbc604.jpg

We also meet a new character in this book, William. I loved him and hope that we get to know him better in future books.

“Only trees are rooted in land, and there they stay. You should know this, great oak. But a man whose heart is rooted in family finds a home wherever his pack is, and he is truly the free man.”

 photo 11214958_zps6c803f05.gif

This book had so many surprises. There were so many intense scenes as the Weston Pack came together to defend themselves against Fox and his band of rogue wolves he was trying to form into his own pack. He even had a couple of panther shifters with him.

At the same time, though, I loved watching Ivy and Lorenzo find their way to each other. They both grew and changed so much in this book.

“Other women bring out the wolf in me, but you, Ivy…you bring out the man.”

There is one wonderful, surprising tie to Dannika’s Mageri series. That, for me, made the book. I loved that series so I love that the author tied the books in this way. If you haven’t read that series, it’s fine. But if you have, it just makes it so special having that bond between the books.

I loved the very end of the book. Absolutely loved what she did. I suppose if you haven’t read the previous books in this series, you will still enjoy this book. But it would mean so much for if you started at the beginning so you can get to know the other characters since they are all present in each book. I have really enjoyed this series and can’t wait to continue with Three Hours which is due out in just a few days. Thank you to Dannika Dark for another great addition to this series.

3.5 Thunder and Lightning stars

I'm not a huge reader of paranormal/Urban Fantasy, but when it comes to Dannika Dark's Seven Series, I get a little thrill every time one comes out. Her storytelling is so fantastic that even if I don't completely fall in love with the story, I fall for the telling of it. She casts such a spell over me and transports me to her meticulously detailed world of shifters. The culture she's come up with is so well thought out, I would almost believe that these men and women and their spirit wolves really exist out there somewhere. With every book, I enjoy seeing the growth of the pack, the new characters, and the possibilities for future couples. While there were a few things that just didn't click with me personally, I still found that magical escape that I always find in a Dannika Dark book and in the end, the story wrapped up on a high note, so all in all it was a pretty satisfactory read.

I would say that my favorite thing about this book is easily Ivy, the heroine. The best way to describe her would be an "old soul". She's young but speaks with clarity and wisdom. She makes people stop and re-evaluate things and see them in a way they've never considered before.

Love is not a shining star. Love is not the warm glow of the sun. Love is a river. Sometimes it's shallow and other times a mile deep. It flows toward some and away from others. It's rocky, slippery, and you can drown in it if you're not careful.

Her strength, resilience, and honor are just a few more traits that make Ivy one of the most interesting heroines I've read this year. Not only is she all these things, but she has a quiet confidence and serenity despite the awful hardships she's had to overcome in her life. She never pities herself or her circumstances, but celebrates the destination that it has taken her to.

Her traits were the perfect foil for the hero Lorenzo.

"You will not silence me, sweet Ivy. We are like a storm, you and I. Thunder and lightning."

Enzo had a lot of strengths, but he was one of my least favorite heroes of the series and he took a long time for me to warm up to. He's the alpha of a neighboring pack and rules his pack with intimidation rather than respect and love. I don't think anyone but Ivy would have been able to melt his hardened heart and make him see the error of his ways. He had his moments of sweetness, but for the most part, he was outwardly pretty detached and hard to get close to. Eventually though, he comes to realize his need to protect her and provide for her needs is something that he can't ignore. There are greater things at play than simply his deep attraction for her and her beautiful spirit.

As much as I liked how they balanced each other out, I never felt a close connection with this couple. For me, I felt like the foundation of their romance was a little weak because of the strength of the path that the story took with Fox, her tormenter from her past. The majority of the story revolved around plotting defense of his pack's attack, and Ivy's resulting crisis toward the end. I am the type of reader who likes a heavy dose of romance when I read and an emotional connection to the characters and that was lacking for me this time around.

I loved revisiting all of these characters once again and as always, Dannika Dark masterfully weaves a tale of shifters, fated love, and loads of action. She even made me all teary eyed when Ivy takes the road trip with Enzo toward the end. I wanted to blubber like a fool it was so touching and poignant. I loved how supportive he was of her at this point and the very important and difficult decision she's forced to make.

What I'm really excited for is Prince's story. It cannot come fast enough, his character and story has so much potential. Can it be the next book....please??

I didn't feel it as much as the others.

Don't get me wrong, I still liked it. And I liked the alpha male, and even the MC. Just well, not as much as I expected to.
Worth trying, if you've read the rest of the series. Just not as good as the others.

5+ "Thunder's Match" Stars for the story and the narration!

Four Days is paranormal romance audiobook perfection! I will not lie, ever since his introduction in Seven Years, I have been pining for the very hot, commanding and ultra confident, rival pack leader, Lorenzo "Enzo" Church. In fact, one of the reasons I rushed through Six Months and Five Weeks, was to hear Enzo's story. However, what completely caught me off guard, is that I loved Ivy, almost as much, if not more, than Enzo (and, just as I had imagined, I adored Enzo)! Talk about a strong, loyal, and completely likable, heroine! Ivy had to combat some of the worst adversities, and still rather than let it get her down, it actually made her stronger and even more personable! Moreover, not only is the story fantastically full of action, adventure, romance and drama; but the performance by Nicole Poole, as always, was spot on and greatly added to the overall magic of this thrilling and touching title.

Please note that while Four Days could be read as a standalone, as the vast majority of Lorenzo's and Ivy's love story is contained in this book, I highly recommend that you read this series in order. Truly the entire series is fantastic, and all of the characters continue to evolve even after their love story has been told. Additionally, the Seven Series is so much more than just a love story. It's also a story about a creative shifter and other supernatural world that evolves over the series, as well as, a tale of the importance of family, particularly as it relates to the Weston shifter pack. Therefore to truly appreciate just how fantastic all of these intricate relationships are woven together, and the detailed nature of this supernatural world, it is essential that you enjoy this series in chronological order.

Ivy is a member of the Weston pack, but she hasn't always been. In a prior book we learned that her father, an alpha pack leader of another group of wolf shifters, traded her to the Weston pack. At the time it was clear that this trade was, at least in part, motivated by past events. In Four Days we learn just how sordid those past events were.

Ivy has previously met Lorenzo. And while Enzo found Ivy intriguing, he is a wolf who prefers to stick to a few of the unmated females in his pack to meet his needs, as he has no plans of ever falling in love, much less become mated. In light of his feelings, and given that Lorenzo has already had issues with Austin (the Weston packmaster), he prefers not to further stir the potential acrimony between the two by pursuing Ivy.

When a series of unfortunate events, however, lead Ivy right into Lorenzo's hands, they are both forced to face their feelings. Soon they find that they have a lot more in common than they ever could have suspected. The danger from Ivy's past, however, once again threatens her and her loved ones; and Ivy soon must determine just how far she is willing to go to protect the one person from her past who she can never let go. Meanwhile Lorenzo must determine if Ivy is the subject of the Native American legend that his Grandmother used to tell him about, and therefore worth changing his destiny for.

The ever talented Nicole Poole once again renders a flawless performance in Four Days. Not only does she maintain immaculate consistency among audiobooks with the various characters that have already played a role in the Seven Series, but she also manages to create yet even more, completely different voices for the new roles that are introduced in Four Days. In that regard, I was impressed with her characterization of William, Lorenzo's second in command. Somehow she manages to make him sound genuinely of Native American descent, while nonetheless varying his intonation sufficiently to allow him to be easily distinguished from Lorenzo's commanding tone, which also bears a slight Native American sound.

Perhaps my favorite part of Ms. Poole's performance in Four Days was her portrayal of Ivy. She expertly gives Ivy the perfect intonation to convey both her alpha nature, while still imparting her character with a sufficient docile sound to communicate her willing subservience in order to fit into the Weston pack (given that the role of alpha female is already occupied by Lexie, Austin's mate).

As always Ms. Poole's attention to not only character specific nuances, but also to scene driven matters, greatly aided the suspense and action scenes. Even her passionate scenes are romance audiobook nirvana. I could listen to just about anything Ms. Poole narrates, that is just how effective and instrumental she is in bringing to life the particularly story being told!
All in all, I can't recommend Four Days, and in fact the entire Seven Series, highly enough! If you have, even just a passing interest in Paranormal romance, then you absolutely must listen to this series!

Four Days is the fourth installment in Dannika Dark's light paranormal romance/shifter series titled Seven. Four Days is my favorite book in this series to date! I loved it...everything about it. The heroine Ivy is amazing. Despite past events, she possesses outstanding strength in every area of her life and I just loved her. The hero in this book is Lorenzo, a character who fans will likely already be familiar with. In my opinion, the installments prior to this one have portrayed Lorenzo as a love-him-or-hate-him type of alpha male, but he has somehow always found his way into my heart. I was so happy that his character was a lead in this book! I just knew there was a reason I liked him :)

In Four Days, Ms. Dark incorporates a Native American cultural component that I enjoyed very much. The narrator in the audiobook even added a light accent to Lorenzo's character to reinforce this element. Folklore is intertwined within the characters' dialogue which added a beautiful depth to this paranormal romance...which leads me to the next thing I loved: the romance! Slow-going, lovely, but intense nonetheless, it's not your usual PNR sexcapade, not that there's anything wrong with those ;).

If I keep going, I will surely slip in a spoiler so I'll stop while I'm ahead. Just know that you won't be disappointed with Four Days. Overall, Ms. Dark has written an engaging series that I'm excited to continue. If you haven't checked it out yet, give it a try!

My favorite quotes:
“Love is not a shining star. Love is not the warm glow of the sun. Love is a river. Sometimes it’s shallow and other times a mile deep. It flows toward some and away from others. It’s rocky, slippery, and you can drown in it if you’re not careful. It creates ripples in the lives around us, and all we can hope for is to be a part of that river, no matter where it leads or how short the journey may be.”

Dannika Dark keeps upping my love for the Seven series. Ivy and Lorenzo's story is so touching and yet still sexy.

Ivy was traded from her father's pack to the Wetson pack. It was the best thing that could've happened to Ivy because her dad is a total douche canoe! Unlike her pack members in the Wetson pack, Ivy grew up in the pack life and knows all the rules. She's an alpha female but takes a lower ranking role within the Wetson and she's totally happy with it.

Ivy has been with the Wetson pack for about a year and just when she was feeling safe someone from her old pack shows up to cause problems. Fox was her dad's second and he not a nice guy. He and Ivy have a past together that no one knows about. Until a neighboring Pack Master, Lorenzo Church gets involved.

Lorenzo is the Pack Master of his own pack and he rules with an iron but fair fist. He's never thought about settling down with a mate because of his childhood. He thinks love is for fools and a man can't trust a woman to be faithful. So he has a different bitch (in this shifter world bitch is not a bad word!) in his bed, often. Until he meets Ivy, of course.

Ivy and Lorenzo has much in common due to their Native American heritages. Not only are Native American a minority in the human world but they are also hard to find in the shifter world and their beliefs are different from your average shifter.

After a car accident the two share four days together, forever changing their lives. I know, four days? Ivy and Lorenzo's love is not an instant-a-love. They've had a connection from the moment that meet one night about a year ago. Lorenzo can't get the strong and silent little she wolf off his mind. And Ivy can't help but feel things she never felt for a man when Lorenzo is around.

Dannika Dark really out did herself with Four Days. She took a heartbreaking story with Ivy's childhood and gave her the HEA she desperately needed and she couldn't have paired her with a male more perfect for her than Lorenxo.

While you could pick up Four Days as a stand alone read/listen I highly recommend starting with book 1, Seven Years . Or at the very least book 3, Five Weeks where Ivy and Lorenzo meet.

Nicole Poole is climbing up my list of favorite narrators! Her voice is prefect for the Seven series. She delivers both male and female voices to perfection. She has the kind of voice that makes the heroines strong, sweet and sassy while still making the males swoon-worthy. Another thing I love about Nicole Poole's narration is that I know when she is smiling, you can hear it in her voice.

Poole's delivery of Ivy was a thing of narration goodness. Ivy is an alpha female wolf that happens to be very soft spoken. Poole made Ivy sound soft, wise and strong all at once. I fight like Ivy's old soul personality in Poole's voice.

Nicole pulled off Lorenzo's voice very well. I dare say her voice for Lorenzo is my favorite male voice of the series (so far).

There are not many books that I can say touch me and even less that rock me all the way to my core. Four Days is one of those books. I had tears in my eyes for a great majority of the book, I laughed out loud at Wheeler and Denny. I even laughed at Lorenzo, but Ivy touched me, made me want to cry for her, hug her tight, protect her and then stand up and cheer when she did all those things for herself. Ivy is probably my favorite character of this entire series because of this book. I always knew that she was a gentle spirit, and a loving person, but her strength and poise are remarkable. She helped me to remember why there does not always have to be the strong alpha male to save the day. Sometimes the best man for the job is a strong alpha female, with a heart of gold.
Dannika Dark has brought to life so many issues and struggles in one compelling book, family bonds, trust issues, male dominance, self-worth, these are things we all deal with at some point in our lives, and Dark has incorporated these issues in what I would say is the most beautiful book of the year. This series gets better with every book she writes, and taking a trip back to Cognito in this book helps to bring everything full circle. If I wasn't before I surely would be a fan for life. I am even more excited to see where this series goes from here.

5 Four Days Stars

I really wasn’t a fan of Lorenzo from the other books. So for me, he really had to redeem himself and let me tell you he does.

I see now why he is the way he is. He has a hard time trusting especially women. And when Ivy comes into his life not only does he feel like he has to protect her, he has this attraction to her.

And that is not easy for a shifter like Lorenzo because he doesn’t have feelings like that toward women. And Ivy is all woman she makes him see things in a different light.

And love, love knows no bounds and I love how they both were not expecting it but it happened.

Ivy deserves happiness, her life has not been easy and I think Lorenzo will do anything to make her feel like a queen. She is his and that is that. I loved that. He is Alpha sure but she balances him out. And that is pretty freaking special.

Again Nicole hits it out of the park. Ivy is a unique character and Nicole hit her spot on I can’t even the tone the cadence she speaks it's downright perfect.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

4.5, maybe a full 5 stars!

What a GREAT story!! Ivy's story might just be my favorite at this point. Totally and completely "wowed" me nonstop.

I listened to this via Tantor audible using audible app & I MUST shout out to the outstanding narrator of this entire series; Nicole Poole's voices are so, sooo SPOT ON, I found myself rewinding to register as I was convinced it was actually another person! She is reeeealllllllly THAT good!

Seriously in love with this series and would highly recommend it to others whom are paranormal fans as I am (shifters, loose references to vampires, etc). The stories are all so deep, soul wrenching and stunning.

On to the next one! :)

Cheers!

I unequivocally LOVED Four Days. I believe Ivy just might be my favorite character created by Dannika Dark; she is running neck and neck with Sterling… it would be stellar reading if they could come together!!!!

Ivy has lots of past “baggage” which has come back to haunt her in a major way…a way that threatens her life and her pack.

Lorenzo Church is a powerful alpha of a local pack. He never opens his heart to anyone, but something about Ivy has always grabbed his attention.

When an accident throws Ivy and Lorenzo together, they both realize there is more to their attraction than just physical chemistry. The big questions, can Ivy crack Lorenzo’s iron shield around his emotions and does Lorenzo every want to let love in.

I laughed, I cried and I would love for a spinoff with Lorenzo’s pack!

From day one, I’ve been a fan of Dannika Dark. She has an incredible imagination and she blesses us by sharing it in her stories.

Four Days is an outstanding, action packed adventure topped off by sexual steam that will definitely burn. Don’t miss book 4 in the Seven Series.

A thrilling and thought provoking tale that blends beautifully with the series!

Dannika Dark brings everything I love about reading into each and every book she writes. A fantasy that draws honor, family, love, thrills, and great humor together into a world that I can sink into and float around in all at the same time. The characters are strongly written and it feels as if each one might walk up to me to say hello and I would know them instantly. If you like to feel as if you have actually walked in another person's shoes when you read a book then you will want to walk into each and every book in this and the Mageri series. I have great respect for many writers but I also adore Dannika's writing style and have never felt hung out to dry at the end. Each book feels like a gift! Thank You Dannika!

Solid 4 "Thunder" Stars!!

I think this book may have been one of the reasons I continued this series. Not that I didn't enjoy the other books, but I just knew Ivy's story would be good. I was right!! I really enjoyed this one. Ivy is the captain of this ship. She becomes her own hero and I love that! Lorenzo was also a very good male lead, but Ivy out shined him.

This has really turned into a series I enjoy. I'll be on to the next book very soon! Happy reading!

Just when I think Dannika Dark can't surpass herself, she does it, and does it so well, that I literally got cold chills while reading this book. If you have read her Mageri series, and just haven't had the chance to start her Seven Years series, or are on the fence about it, this would be the book to read. While they do go in order, the author writes in such a way that each book is about one couple, so it could be read alone. No cliffhangers with this author's books, and much appreciated by me, and I am sure lots of others.

This series takes place within the Weston pack in the Breed world, that was first introduced in book 1, Sterling, of the Mageri Series. While that series was about Mages, this series focuses on werewolves. Since this is the fourth in the series, the reader has met most of the characters from previous books. It's always fun trying to figure out which wolf will find his/her mate in each book. It is also fun to catch up with previous characters and couples.

Ivy is a werewolf that was traded to the Weston pack a year before. She already loves them all as family, but still keeps her secrets from them. Lorenzo is a packmaster over the largest, and richest pack in the area. There's no love lost between Lorenzo and Austin, packmaster for the Weston clan. While Ivy is wise beyond her years, outspoken, and loving, Lorenzo is arrogant, and a seemingly coldhearted packmaster, one that his own men barely know. Of course, these two have noticed each other before, but in this book, the pair have four days to get to really know each other. Whole lives can change in four days.

The author continues with the intricate world building, as with all her books. We learn more about the werewolves in this Breed world, and all the customs and do's and don'ts that prevail in pack life, and between packs. I enjoyed seeing her vision for her werewolves, and how they differ from other author's visions. And no, the life of a werewolf is definitely not all sweetness and light.

Dannika Dark's books are always, and I am stressing this, always, well written, with wonderful romances and characters. She's not afraid of the dark side of the Breed world, and people do get hurt, or even worse in her books. The readers emotions are all over the place while reading these, maybe more so with the Mageri series, but this series evokes some as well. I think this is the first book of hers that involved chills for me, not once, but twice. And not the scary kind. The feel good kind.

I can't recommend this author's books enough. We get plenty of action, showdowns, adult romance, and a twist I never saw coming, one that I absolutely loved. These books should be read in order(usually)and once started, make sure you have plenty of time to read, unless you like sitting up late into the night reading like I did, two nights in a row.

On a side note, when you are finished reading, please read the authors acknowledgements at the end. Mageri fans in particular. One of the chill moments for me!

ARC Review. Originally posted at: Love Affair with an E-Reader

Four Days is book 4 in the Seven series and the best one yet.

Lorenzo Church is the dark one. He is a packmaster who holds his pack together through strength and discipline. If you want to belong to the strongest pack in the area, you want to be in Lorenzo's group. His a group, not necessarily a family. There is very little room for emotional ties, loyalty is based on status. Case in point - there are no children in his pack.

Ivy is the daughter of a packleader. She understands the nuances, the traditions, the responsibilities of being a member of a successful pack. And she understands what it means to lead by stature.

On the surface, you would think that Lorenzo would be attracted to the obvious types of women - flashy, obvious, and stunning. And you would be right, he normally is. But there is something about Ivy that attracts him - she is a wise, old soul. It doesn't take long for Lorenzo to become attached to Ivy, and learning about her history makes him admire her even more and solidifies his determination to protect her.

I really enjoyed the chemistry between Ivy and Lorenzo. Ivy is part Native American and is heavily influenced by its culture and stories. Lorenzo's grandmother is also Native American and he connects with Ivy at a very deep level.

I have said in the past that sometimes the author's heroines get a bit preachy. Here, Ms. Dark has found the perfect vehicle for that kind of character. Ivy gently influences Lorenzo with her wisdom, courage and grace. Her insights are woven masterfully into the story. In return, Lorenzo is thoughtful and contemplative with Ivy. Their love story feels mature.

It is also thrilling to revisit with some of the characters from the Mageri series. When I think back to that series and compare those books with the writing in Four Days, I can see Ms. Dark's growth as an author. Her characterizations and plotting have continue to mature.

IN A NUTSHELL:
This is my favorite book in the series to date. With mature characters and themes, Dannika Dark gives us a fantastic new read to add to our paranormal romance collection.

Dannika has outdone herself once again. This series just gets better and better.

"The moon was deceptive spirit - stealing the light from the sun and mirroring it back us."

Ivy is very sweet and loving woman. Her strength and and selflessness is what draws so many people to her. She just has the aura about her. And yet, you would never know what lingers behind the walls she has built around her.

"I mourn for that young girl, because on that night, she died. But without her loss, I wouldn't be here."

Lorenzo is a huge pompous ass. He rules with an iron fist and doesn’t care for love – it weakens men. But his journey through this book is amazing. Yes, even a harden man can have a soul.

Lorenzo and Ivy are brought together by an accident. You can sense the hesitation in each of them. They feel something there but won’t act on it for very many reasons.

"There is something pure and honest in the way a man treats a woman when he thinks she isn't aware. It shows the kind of man he truly is."

I absolutely love how Dannika is able to make these characters come to life. As you are reading, you become these two characters. You feel their emotions – hatred, anger, compassion, love.

Dannika once again writes a story that is filled with drama and gut-wrenching honesty that just sucks you in completely.

If you haven’t already – start reading this series!

so quickie on this one

I really enjoyed this book while i loved the others so desperately i was really worried about this one
I was always a huge Ivy fan - loved her and i couldn't want to see her have her own story
was i super sad to find out she would probably be leaving the Cole Brothers? umm yup!

Lorenzo was not one of my favorite characters, no lie there. but the story that was woven here was heartfelt and did get a couple tears from me. While the others in the series sort of follow the same train this felt almost the same but completely different as well - im not sure im ready to say this was my favorite of the series but if you have enjoyed the series up to here, i say keep going you won't be disappointed

I am VERY intrigued now though for Dannika's other series - the one that started it all sooo i will DEFINITELY be checking those out as well

What a ride

I couldn't put this book down and am truly sad that it is finished. This book had so much to it it felt like three different stories in one.

Ivy is such a beautiful spirit, you can't help but love her. Her strength and intelligence was such a huge part of this book. She is an inspiration in love, patience and selflessness.

Lorenzo has such a journey to go through in this book. It was interesting to see the slight changes that he makes throughout.

Dannika has once again written an amazing book full of emotion that sucks you in and won't let you go even after you turn the last page. You can always expect such a quality of work when it comes to her books. This is by far one of my favorite books in this series and I can't wait to see what's next.

Four days, fourth book in the Seven Series of Dannika Dark

Ivy is an old soul in a young body with the way she acts and speaks. Lorenzo is your typical wealthy, arrogant and unapologetic.

Though the plot has potential but it felt like it was dragged to long. I like the action scenes and how they protected each other. And as the series progress I'm really starting to not like Lynn by the way she is acting.

Overall this was an okay book for me 👍🏻

Favorite quote/line:

“When something marks us, it changes who we are, and we become different.

“Courage. Spirit. Strength. Loyalty. These are weapons you do not possess. Greed is your shield and envy is your sword. No man can win a battle with armor forged from fear.”

I actually have a book hangover after this one. So many feels, I teared up (and when you read the book, you'll know when it happens). I loved seeing everyone again and proving what a strong family and pack the Weston's are as they fought for Ivy against a threat to her.
Lorenzo was not one of the characters I particularly liked after meeting him in Seven Years, because he acted entitled and better than everyone. I loved watching Lorenzo change his thoughts and actions and heart as he tried to become a better man for Ivy to love. The little things (and big things - like protecting her) he gave her will make you sigh and change your thoughts on him being good enough for Ivy.

Another winner from one of my favorite paranormal writers. Can't give anything away about this latest Shifter couple until the big cover reveal. But suffice it to say, Dannika Dark has done it again!

*This book was a beta copy given to me by the author for editing purposes.

3 + Stars

It's a paranormal romance. With sexy shifters. I mean, do you need to know more than that?

...
Okay, how about... It's set in Texas and this series is about the Weston Pack that consists mostly of the Cole Family of wolves.

Still more?

Um... The writing is fluid and enjoyable, the characters start out a little fuzzy but with each book become more clearly defined. The previous books in the series do a great job building up anticipation for the next books, and they are a little bit addictive even if they aren't my favorite PNRs ever written. I do like them and keep devouring them.

More?

Fine, but you're kind of needy...

This book focuses on Ivy, a recently fully turned shifter that was offloaded onto the Weston Pack as part of a deal to secure the help of an out of state alpha in hunting down Lexie's dad (happened in the first book of the series). Ivy came to the pack young but wise and has always been quiet but her words carry a lot of weight. I liked Ivy and Lorenzo's story significantly more than Jericho and Izzy's (book 3). Part of it may be that I found Ivy and Lorenzo to be interesting characters early on from their very introduction to the series. They were both a bit of a mystery to me and I enjoyed reading their backstory as well as how they came to be mated. I didn't find their romantic scenes to have the same chemistry as Lexie & Austin but their coming together had a unique voice.

I will be interested to see what book 5 brings ; )

I don't even know where to begin. I went into this book skeptical because I wasn't a fan of Lorenzo and wasn't sure how he would pair with such a gentle soul like Ivy. I couldn't have been more wrong. Their story wasn't anything like I expected and yet, it was so much more.

Dannika outdid herself with Four Days and that wonderful and beautiful surprise thrown in was the icing on the cake. Such an incredible gift you gave us Mageri fans, and I can't thank you enough for giving us the best gift possible (outside of another Mageri book).

To those who haven't read Four Days and are skeptical like I was, don't shut Lorenzo out. He is a highly.complicated man but there is so much more to him than what little we've seen in the previous books. As for Ivy, don't let her calm and gentle nature fool you. She is as fierce as they come and your love for her will only grow by the end of the book.

I can't wait for the next book!

I'm addicted to this series!

I've always liked Ivy and her quiet strength, so I was thrilled to get her story. Lorenzo hasn't been my favorite of characters, even if I enjoy the repartee between him and Austin, but I sure did like him with Ivy.

4.5/5.0
Lovely story! I absolutely loved both the characters of Ivy and Lorenzo. From the moment they met in a previous book, it was kismet they would be together. Ms. Dark, has done a pitch perfect job in creating two incredibly unique characters who, at first glance, would be almost impossible to find a loving match for. Then, she weaves these unique qualities into the perfect union!

Ivy is an old soul in a young body. She has been through some horrid things in her life but is still strong enough to hope for love and peace in her life. Her character is physically weak but mentally a power-house of strength. Unfortunately physical strength is an absolute requirement in the shifter world.

Then there is Lorenzo. The powerful alpha packmaster who has it all.... or so he thinks. Ivy is everything he does not need if he wants to keep his pack strong. He is arrogant, unflinching and unyeilding. It is an absolute joy to watch Ivy ever so slowing change his outlook and life.

The book did slow some at times and I had a hard time with all the stereotypes and assumptions that Ivy had to live and deal with. I felt she deserved a lot more honor and appreciation than even the Cole pack gave her, but it didn’t stop me from devouring every single page of this wonderful love story!

Better than the last 2. Still has the same sexist and alpha men but not so much and not as much drama. It makes alliances that will be useful for the next books.

Coffee Dates with Four Days

First Date:  Lorenzo "Enzo" Church is the rival pack leader in town. He has wealth, strength and is unapologetic about his actions. While I admired his protectiveness, I didn't have any warm and fuzzy feelings about the man. Ivy belongs to the Weston pack. Both are of Native American descent and find themselves attracted to each other, but Ivy doesn't think she could fall for a leader such as Enzo. Dark introduces a dangerous element that soon has the Weston Pack and Church pack seeing a lot more of each other than either leader would like. I am all in and curious to see if Dark can win me over.

Second Date: First, I love Ivy. She makes no apology for who she is, yet she is soft spoken, can see the larger picture and is loyal beyond measure. She is an alpha, who accepted a lesser position and her backstory will splay open your heart. Church, is slowly getting under my skin and I am beginning to understand him. His affection for his grandmother and tenderness with Ivy had a lot to do with it. That doesn't mean I am not considering hitting him with my shoe, but I am enjoying seeing Ivy handle him. The two are both stubborn, and I found myself laughing and enjoyed watching things unfold. The danger continues to escalate and with it comes a surprise reveal.

Third Date: We get some intense action scenes, and I loved seeing Ivy in her element. Heat, conversations and Ivy's past fill up the final date. I cried for Ivy and loved how Dark wrapped up the thread with her past. The romance slowed as both characters searched for answers within themselves. Ivy is a strong woman, and I love that she is unwilling to settle. She laid things out plainly with Church and her pack. Will Chruch offer Ivy a chance at happy? Can he handle her past? I devoured FOUR DAYS and cannot get over how emotionally connected I have become to this couple, their packs and this series.

Once again Nichole Poole narrated, and I cannot imagine the series without her. I love when a good story is paired with an excellent narrator as it adds another level of enjoyment to my experience. This review was originally posted at Caffeinated Book Reviewer

I am changing my original 5 star rating to a 2.5 stars for a few reasons. When I finished the book I gave it 5 stars, but when I thought more about it the next few days I changed my mind. Ivy was a great heroine and I liked the story, but Lorenzo had lost most of his appeal and I ended up thinking him as something not as tough as he was appearing to be in the previous books.

Also, I realized that the author is to be turned me with all the Denver-Maizy scenes. Obviously, if they end up together, it will be in the final book and it will be too long to wait and I am tired of waiting for a couple to happen. And Maizy is too young to be with anyone so I am feeling frustrated. In Four Days the scenes between Denver and Maizy are just too It's-obvious-they-are-meant-to-be that made my heart melt and killed me a little

To be honest Lorenzo and Ivy's relationship wasn't my main focus in this book. I can elaborate more because I would have to spoil some major parts of the story, so I will only say that what it involves two characters from the mageri series. I am not sure I liked the way Ivy and the couple found out about each other.

I really hope the next book will be better and maybe it will be about Wheeler and not about another character who was introduced in this book.

Sometimes Ordinary people are destines for extraordinary lives. I have been a Fan Of Dannika Dark since the very first book I read of her and of course this book is no different. At first when I found out it was about Ivy I was a little disappointed, only because I wanted it to be about Denver. But Let me tell you this, When I started reading Four Days I knew that I was going to love and I did. It takes an amazing author to be able to pull emotions out of a reader the way this book did with me. There where moments that I laughed, there where moments that I had people looking at me because of the tears running down my cheeks, and Even Last night while I was working I had OMG! NO WAY! moments and yes I had my customers laughing at me. I think that is the kind of thing that shows how great a book is. I personally have the first three books in this series not only in ebook but also in paperback and this book will be not different! I am truly AMAZED and the written of this wonderful author and I can NOT wait for the next one to release. I am forever a fan of Dannika's work. If you have not read her books, then you are truly missing out and I think if you give them a try, your heart will be warmed just as mine was. Thank you Dannika for your wonderful words
