Me and Mr. Just Right: Enchanted Forresters, Book 1

Rate this book
A famous singer fleeing the spotlight. A nature photographer with a secret. One week stranded together on an island…

What's a country superstar to do when her ex betrays her, steals all her songs, and makes up lies for the media to salivate over? Escape to a deserted Alaskan island. Key deserted.

Turns out the island isn't as deserted as Aurelia Halifax has been led to believe, and she's surprised by the arrival of Haydn Forrester—who is less than happy to discover her asleep in his bed. And when an unexpected summer storm hits, they're stranded together until it passes.

Worse, Haydn is a photographer—exactly the kind of person she's trying to avoid. He doesn't recognize her, so it's easy to pretend she's Lia Hall, a make-up-free, sweats-wearing, down-on-her-luck girl from the south. Unfortunately, Haydn is proving to be irresistible, but she can't let herself fall again. Trusting doesn't come easily for Lia, especially when she learns that Haydn may be behind her biggest betrayal of all.

Me and Mr. Just Right is for listeners who love forced proximity, hidden identities, beachy vibes, and happily ever afters.

Me and Mr. Just Right by Kaylee Baldwin is a sweet, clean, contemporary romantic comedy about Aurelia Halifax, a famous singer running from betrayal and heartbreak, who seeks refuge on what she believes will be a deserted Alaskan island only to find it already occupied by Haydn Forrester and his two brothers, and a summer storm that forces them all to stay together, forcing unexpected connection, honest conversations, and tender sparks to unfold over the course of a week. Aurelia hides her celebrity identity while she heals, and Haydn, a nature photographer who does not first recognize who she truly is, becomes someone she never meant to fall for, creating a romance that blends forced proximity, hidden identity, and found family in a beautiful, wild setting.

From the moment their paths collide on that remote island I found myself drawn into a story that felt like a cozy, sun-soaked retreat full of laughter, awkward moments, and heartfelt vulnerability. Aurelia’s determination to escape the chaos of her public life and reconnect with her music made her feel so real to me, especially in how she learned to let her guard down among people who saw her as just “Lia.”

Haydn’s steady kindness and slow-burn affection for her were such a beautiful counterbalance to her chaos, and the way their chemistry grew naturally through shared meals, campfire conversations, and Alaskan daydreams warmed my heart. I loved the way the supporting Forrester brothers and sister added humor and warmth, turning what could have been an isolated setting into a lively found-family vibe that made the island feel like home.

The romance is tender and gentle, and even the emotional beats around trust and betrayal felt grounded rather than melodramatic, which made me care about their connection deeply.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars. I’m giving Me and Mr. Just Right this rating because it is a delightfully light, feel-good rom-com with lovable characters, delightful banter, and a setting that almost becomes another character.

It made me smile, ache a little for what the leads had lost, and cheer them on as they rediscovered joy, connection, and the courage to trust again.

This is my first book from Kaylee Baldwin and I am HOOKED!!!

"...the vote is two against one."
"My love life does not come with voting rights."
"Oh, but it does" Jules said. "Because we have to deal with whoever you end up with, and we like her."

Okay Haydn and Lia are SO MUCH FUN! Lia heads off to a deserted, Alaskan island after she finds out her best friend and boyfriend (now EX-boyfriend) have been having a secret relationship and stealing her songs ONLY TO FIND OUT that her deserted island isn't so deserted!! And let me tell you 'Haydn's kind of a big deal' (IYKYK ha ha).

Forced proximity, hidden identity, found family, incredible setting, great banter and SO MUCH MORE! That's right I'm bringing out the CAPS lock with this one, friends!!

This family of brothers and Rosie is one I NEED TO KNOW MORE ABOUT!!! I love each and every one of them already. Their personality and family connection was so vibrant on the pages that I dare you to read this and not be ready for book 2 the second it's available!! I need everyone in this family to get a HEA and I'll be here counting down until they all do!

Kaylee-thank you for this book. I picked it up one day and promptly threw out the day's to-do list and did nothing but read this one straight through! #noregrets

If you like crazy good banter, fun siblings, and great romance you should definitely add this one to your TBR!

Content: betrayed by boyfriend and friend, close family relationships, found family, great banter, romance-kisses only.

Characters- I really liked Lia and Haydn. They were personable and genuine people.
A favorite aspect was the sibling affection between the Forrester family. They were all so loyal, thoughtful, and very close. LOVED their dynamic. And I like that each of them have their own personality. I’m excited to read each of their romances in the series.

Romance- Sweet, easy romance.
Famous + nonfamous romances aren’t my favorite dynamic, but the author did a great job making this romance feel believable and I’m sold.
Medium-low chemistry. (The chemistry had a lot more potential that wasn’t capitalized on. I still really enjoyed it, though!)
Also, there could have been a big misunderstanding at the end and I’m so glad it didn’t happen. The fact that that didn’t happen showed maturity and trust in each other, which sold me even more on their relationship.

Plot- There wasn’t much plot, tbh, as it mostly consisted of relationship development over a one week period, but I really enjoyed it. Not a lot of depth, but a fun, light read.

Writing - Good writing. I laughed a couple times. There were some instances of good banter. The book went by very quickly.

Content-

Language- no swearing
Spice- some kissing. Clean.
Violence- no
Substance abuse- no.
Cover- Meh.
POV- dual POV, first person. Sometimes I prefer not to know the male perspective bc that preserves some of his mystery and allure.
Cliffhanger- No. btw, this book is the FIRST IN SERIES! (It is incorrectly labeled in Good Reads as 2nd in the Enchanted Forresters series.)
Format- audiobook via Audible for $5
Narration- great!! Dual performance

Aurelia Halifax is a singer who just wants to take a break from her life and all her problems after her former best friend stole her songs and her ex-boyfriend cheated on her with her best friend. To do this, she books a hut on a small island, where she wants to live without human contact for a whole week. Only this hut is not as deserted as expected when she meets the three Forrester brothers.

I had a really good time with this book. The story was funny at times and generally very enjoyable to read. The view was alternately written in the third person from Aurelia's and Hayden's point of view. This isn't necessarily for everyone, but I really enjoyed it because I think it always gives you a little more insight into each character.

I also really liked the setting, as I'm a huge fan of small towns with a cozy vibe. Actually, the story didn't take place in a small town but on a small island, but in the end it's the same for me.

The story is very fast paced and at times everything went a bit too fast for me. At some points the dialogue was a little cringe to read but all the movie references made up for it.

My favorite character was Rosie. She was really funny and relatable.

You should definitely read this book if you like Insta love, a small town with a cozy vibe and stories about female musicians.

Thanks to Kaylee Baldwin for the opportunity to read this book as an ARC.

Oh! This book was hilarious! Rosie’s antics had me cracking up throughout the whole book. Haydn and Lia were such a cute couple. I loved the instant chemistry and connection they had.

Favorite Quote:
“If it’s this island that’s magical …” She paused—another hand brush—and her gaze met his. “Or if it’s you.” He swallowed hard. “You three, I mean,” she added hurriedly. “You too, but—Forget I said anything.” He laughed. “I can’t forget it. I’m magic; no take backs.” She nudged him with her shoulder. “You know what I meant.” He decided to stop teasing her. Hadn’t he just been thinking how incredible this island was? Magic was the exact right word to describe it. “Yeah, I do.” “Whatever it is, I never want it to stop,” she murmured so quietly, he wondered if he was supposed to hear it. Their hands collided again, and this time he gave in to the urge to slide his fingers between hers. He was gratified when her fingers clasped his back. “Me neither,” he said, just as quietly.

"Lia was everything. She was nature hikes and sunny afternoons. She was gorgeous melodies and poetic lyrics. She was laughter and joy and thought and fate. Wherever Lia was, she was his home."

Me and Mr. Just Right is an adorable romcom set in Winterhaven, Alaska.
I loved the meet cute, hidden identity, the forced proximity, spending time in the wilderness, and sweet moments between Hayden and Lia aka Aurelia, famous country singer.

When she is cheated on by her ex-boyfriend with her best friend, she leaves Tennessee to rent a cabin on a remote island in Alaska to escape the media and her life for a week. There she meets Hayden and the Forrester brothers, as well as Rosie who was secretly renting out the cabin to people for extra cash.

This was a feel-good, laugh-out-loud great time. I absolutely enjoyed every moment of the story, and the audiobook was so well done. I loved these narrators!

I definitely recommend this fun celebrity romcom to anyone looking for a great read.

I’m pretty new to books by Kaylee Baldwin and I am already a fan!

I loved this super cute story of Lia (a famous country star) trying to escape her crazy life by going to Alaska to stay at a remote rental. Little does she know she won’t be staying there alone! And one of the brothers who arrives was also her neighbor on the turbulent plane ride there!!

Such a cute story that kept me turning pages to find out how it would all play out!!

Did she rent the house owned by the 3 bears?

This is almost somewhat of the retelling of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears, if Goldilocks got to meet and keep her bear.

Aurela Halifax has fled to Alaska to get away from the betrayal of her ex-boyfriend and ex-friend. They stole the songs she wrote and used them on their newly released album. Then to make it even worse, they started rumors that she had mental issues.

She's rented a house on an unnamed island. The 1st night was right out of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. As she flung herself onto the first bed, it was like trying to sleep on a board. She was more cautious with the 2nd bed. It felt softer so she laid down, right into a bed of quicksand that tried to swallow her whole. She was almost afraid to try the 3rd bed but, like Goldilocks, it was just right! Little did she know, 3 large and somewhat grumpy men were headed her way.

Haydn, Bennett and Jules Forrester aren't happy to learn that their baby sister, Rosie, has been renting out their cabin as a side hustle. She's even been doing it for over a year in an effort to keep her shop afloat.

The men decide to allow Lia stay for the week she booked. In Alaska, she's using the name Lia Hall. She's so relieved that none of the Forrester family recognize her although some of them think she looks familiar. This is the first time in years she's been treated as a normal person and she's so grateful for that. She's certain, if she tells them her secret, she'll be treated differently. Unfortunately that was true.

The Forrester family has known losses. Their mother died after a long illness. Their father, who had a wanderlust gene, left shortly after his wife became ill.

Haydn is a photographer and writer. He specializes in photos and stories about Alaska. Like his father, he's always ready for his next trip. He's the glue of the family.

Bennett is trying to recover from a broken heart. He proposed to his girlfriend and she broke up with him. Forrester Expeditions is his tourist fishing company. He's the nurturing one of the family, the cinnamon roll type.

Jules, the only one not living in Alaska, is a lawyer. He's the competitive athletic one of the family.

Rosie is the baby of the family and a trial to her brothers, especially Jules. She's the artistic one of the family and operates a shop which is having financial problems. Her solution is to rent out her brothers' island home, a very successful venture until now... Thanks to her, her brothers can quote lines from both romcoms and musicals. She forced them to sit through so many of them that they now enjoy them.

Lia does make some discoveries on the island. She still can write music and she hasn't lost her ability to trust. She just needs to be more selective about who she trusts.

I received an ARC of this book from the author via BookFunnel. I am voluntarily leaving this review.

OVERALL STAR RATING: 4/5
CLEAN RATING: 5/5

I’ve always been a big music fan, so anytime the main character of a story is in the music biz, it piques my interest. Not to mention, with the songs referenced in this book, I can tell the author has great taste in music. 😉

I loved the way this story transported us to a remote Alaskan island. Island settings are always some of my favorites. I think deserted island life is kind of my vibe - #goals! Lol In this story we follow Lia Hall, whose real name is Aurelia Halifax. She’s a big-time musician who was just burned by her now EX boyfriend and best friend. Lia needs to get away from the gossip and chaos of the spotlight and drama that’s unfolded so she books a cabin on the remote Alaskan island where she plans to be free of her cell phone and human interaction for an entire week. Well, surprise of all surprises when three…count them THREE young and handsome brothers wind up in her cabin. There was a bit of a mix-up involving the brother’s sister, Rosie, who booked the cabin for Lia. That was a funny scenario, so you’ll just have to read about that to find out how that all unfolded.

Circumstances keep Lia and the brothers stuck together as roommates for the week. Going makeup free and dressed down prevent the brothers from recognizing Lia for who she actually is. One brother in particular, Haydn, takes a special interest in Lia and it would be a lie to say she didn’t feel a little something in return. Relaxing, not being known as a “superstar” and having the chance to be her authentic self isn’t something she’s accustomed to, so the week winds up pretty magical. Although, the magic comes to a complicated stop once their time together ends. Secrets are exposed and the situation gets quite sticky.

I’m excited to see that book two is going to be about Rosie because I just ADORED her as a side character. What a bundle of chaos and fun. Haha I think her book is going to be quite an adventure.

I received an ARC for my honest opinion

After having to deal with betrayal from her best friend and her boyfriend on top of them stealing and taking credit for her lyrics, what else is a famous singer supposed to do, other than run away to a deserted island in Alaska. Aurelia Halifax just wants to get away from everyone and everything to reconnect with her music again and to find peace, she thinks that she will be able to do this on this little piece of heaven in Alaska until she is woken up to hearing 3 male voices right outside her bedroom. Little does Aurelia know that the Forrester brothers have come home for a brother’s weekend away and without them knowing their sister rents out their cabin as an Airbnb. After the confusion is all cleared up and having a bad storm hit, they all start talking and it turns out that this is just what Aurelia needed. Haydn is the oldest brother, he is a photographer, and he is kinda a big deal. Haydn didn’t come out looking for love or anything just to figure out what is next in his life, but when Aurelia starts to open up, he starts to feel things that he hasn’t ever.

This was such a cute book, I mean I have loved the other 2 so much as well. In this book you will find forced proximity, hidden identity, found family, and so much more. I loved that it was fast paced, well written, fun plotline; one that will have you wish it was a movie. I loved the attention to details with the setting and description of the events that happened. I found the characters to be likable, and relatable. I loved the banter between all the characters, but mostly with Rosie and her brothers. I was laughing so hard at the scenes. I found the character's development to be spot on like her other books, you will see that it happens throughout the book and with both characters. I really loved getting to see Haydn come out of his shell more and to see him go out of his way to make sure that Lia knew how much she meant to him. I loved getting to see how they finally decided to make the long distant relationship work and we gotta read the messages from them during that time. This is a great romcom, with all the right amount of feels for a reader with HEA.

I can’t wait to read what Kaylee Baldwin will put out next.

I want to thank Kaylee Baldwin for the opportunity to review this book.

ARC REVIEW:
A famous singer fleeing the spotlight, a photographer with a secret, and a hot summer on a deserted island. What could go wrong? That is what we're asked. When Aurelia Halixfax finds out that her boyfriend is cheating with her best friend and has hijacked her songs, material and album, Aurelia has no choice but to run away from it all and to Alaska of all places.
On the flight she meets a man who she finds rather rugged and handsome not to mention a great comforter during the flight.
Auriela has rented a remote cabin that you can only get to by boat. She wants to sleep, write, forget and nurse her wounds for a week.
Things become a little complicated when three brothers arrive to their cabin and find Aurelia. Their younger sister unbeknown to them has been letting out the charming cottage without telling them.
Nonetheless, they need to make it work as a storm is coming and the only way out from the cabin is by boat across the lake.
Can Aurelia find happiness again with one of the brothers, one in particular?
Can she get over her heartache and will there be a divine HEA?
This book is my first by the author and I have to say I'd like to read more of her titles.
A witty and charming book, with well defined characters all of which are extremely likeable.
The story is cute and beautiful and will leave you feeling happy and content.
Superbly written and thoughtful having you empathising with Aurelia and the predicament she is in. What I loved about this book is that it was a cosy and quick read. One of my favourite romcom authors is Jenny Colgan and this easily is up there with her books. In my opinion.
I'd highly recommend this cute and charming book for any time, anywhere.

Me and Mr Just Right is the first book in the Enchanted Forresters series by Kaylee Baldwin. Singer/songwriter Aurelia “Lia” Halifax needs to flee from the spotlight. After a messy public break up and a betrayal, she seeks an escape at an Alaskan island. It was perfect. Deserted with minimal communication. The island isn’t as deserted as she wanted and she is surprised when three hot brothers arrive. To say they weren’t happy would be an understatement. When a sudden storm hits, they are stranded on the island together. Haydn, the oldest brother, is a photographer, and the kind of person she was hoping to avoid. Soon, she is inspired to write again by Hayden and feelings she never thought she would feel again. However, trust isn’t going to come easy for Lia especially when Hayden has a secret, a secret that could be behind the biggest betrayal of all.
Me and Mr Just Right is a cute sweet rom-com with great banter and humorous moments. They were great characters but with not a lot of depth. The story wasn’t filled with a lot of romance but Lia and Haydn together were sweet. The interactions between the brothers were fun and filled with sibling squabbles. There wasn’t much to the plot and the story behind the betrayal and breakup was obvious and I thought, even in the beginning, that there was more to the situation that Lia knew. The ending was a bit cheesy for me even for a rom com. Overall, the story was fine. However, I was not pulled into the story enough to care about the other characters and I will not be continuing the series. If you like sweet, cute rom com that would be a cozy weekend read, I recommend Me and Mr Just Right.

Romance level: kissing🔥

Review:

Okay so for my Kaylee's book spree, I had to go to the first book of the series. And what a way to start!

This book feels like coming home. Truly. I love how chaotic everything started & then it just clicked. It has me snort-laughing, alright.

Lia is just so strong. What she went through was tough, it could break anyone & she stood her ground. She just had a long way to build herself up.

The Forrester brothers are a treat!!! I love them so much! Haydn is a sweetheart. The glue of the family. He's super respectful, cute, strong, and just there for his brothers & sister. Bennett and Haydn's bond is the best... And don't get me started with grumpy Jules😂.

I love the three brothers! So amazing in their own unique ways and strengths. I loved all their interactions with Lia🥾.

"She smiled softly in response. RIP, Haydn’s reading comprehension."

Poor Haydn, he was carrying the whole world on his shoulders. He had a tough dealing with everything but how it solved? AMAZING. This man was just amazing 😍.

The last chapters were so fun, so deep and the best. I love the in-between story, the chats, the longing, the love... You just have to read this to get how good it is!

Scenes I loved:
🛶 Dinghy
🥾Hiking
📷 Pictures
🫶🏻 The gesture

⚠️TW: cheating, loss, grief, & abandonment.

I will say that with this book it is not written in first person and usually have a hard time getting into book that is written in third person. But I had no problem getting into this book, it was all I could think about. I stayed up way too late reading but had to eventually go to bed. Then I may or may not have done as much work as I should have in order to read more of the book. Every spare moment was spent reading this book I could not get enough of Lia and Haydn. This book had it all. I was laughing out loud mostly with Rosie who I personally feel stole the book. But also, side note is Rosie going to get her own story? I wanted more Rosie. But Lia and Haydn were great more than great; they were just what the other person needed to help each other out. Haydn was way to closed off to the possibility of a relationship and focused on being the “glue” of family. He didn’t think he could be what Lia needed in life or have the time to be what she needed. Lia didn’t know if she could ever trust anyone ever again after what her ex did to her. She didn’t think there was a guy out there who wouldn’t use her for her fame like everyone else she thought she could trust. This was a great Romcom, it was clean and everything you are looking for. It has laughs to crying to laughing again you will not be disappointed in reading this book!

This was a fun story to read. I was sucked into this book.
After feeling like her life was imploding singer Aurelia Halifax went on a much needed vacation literally away from it all. She rented a cabin on a deserted island in Alaska and was ready to forget life for a while. When she arrived she took some time with her music then took a sleeping pill to get the rest she felt she needed. She woke up to male voices.
Haydn Forrester flew back home to Alaska. He had a plan to hang out with his brothers at their cabin on a deserted island. Well, as they arrived they realized that someone else was there. Turns out their sister had been renting out the cabin to bring in a little extra money.
After some confusion, arguments and some realizations they all decided to stay. Haydn and Lia grew very close. They were beginning to fall in love, Lia never knew love could be like this, it must be because they didn't know her and so their feelings were real.
After telling Haydn who she was he was hurt and frustrated. She left the island and felt she would never see or hear from him again.
With his brother's help Haydn realized what he had done and chased after Lia.
This was fun story and good to see the real that happens in life.
I was given an ARC of this book and left this review voluntarily. All opinions expressed are my own.

"Me & Mr. Just Right" by Kaylee Baldwin is a sweet rom com based in Alaska. The way the imagery of Alaska is written is enough to make you want to pack a bag and board the next plane. This story follows Auerila Halifax, a famous singer who is running from a famous and messy life, with a trail of drama to follow. When a picturesque rental mix up occurs Auerila "Lia" finds herself with some new temporary roommates.

Haydn's and his two brother are ready to relax and reconnect at their family vacation home. That's until he finds a suprise.....in his bed.

Things to love about this book:
🎶 Family Loyalty
🎶 Laugh out loud comedy
🎶 Kisses that will make you smile 🎶Alaska 😍
🎶Down to earth characters
🎶Relatable life issues
🎶Banter

Need more convincing that you will read this book in one sitting?
Here the book description:

What's a famous singer to do when her ex betrays her, steals all her songs, and makes up lies for the media to salivate over?
Escape to a deserted Alaskan island.

Key word: deserted.

Turns out the island isn't as deserted as Aurelia Halifax has been led to believe, and she's surprised by the arrival of the three insanely hot, nineties rom-com quoting Forrester brothers-who are less than happy to discover her there. And when an unexpected summer storm hits, they're stranded together until it passes.

You know you want to read it. 😉

Do you love 90s romcoms? Beautiful Alaskan scenery? Love at first sight? This book is for you!

I loved this novel by @kayleebaldwinbooks! It’s been on my list for a while and I am so glad I read it as part of my #backlistbooks #24in24 challenge!

This is such a sweet story. I loved getting to know Lia and Haydn. They both have experienced a lot in their lives — betrayal, disappointment, loneliness and heartache. Yet they both are able to see light and happiness. Especially when they meet each other.

This is a lovely love at first sight story. Immediately, the sparks fly from their first meeting on the airplane. I love that they are thrown together on the island and realize how much they love each other as they explore the island together (the island is gorgeous and makes me want to visit Alaska so much!🌊🌅).

Throw in a cast of delightful, meddling siblings and a hidden celebrity identity and you’ve got a delightful story about the power of love, trust and following your dreams.

In this book you’ll find:
🎶love at first sight
🎶celebrity romance
🎶secret identity
🎶MMC photographer
🎶Alaskan setting
🎶meddling family
🎶kisses only

And even better news! Kaylee is working on a sequel in the series about Haydn’s baby sister Rosie! The only thing better than a book about endearing siblings is a whole series 😍

I am completely infatuated with the Forrester siblings. So much so I really don't know who I love the most. They were the icing on the cake. The cherry on top. The creme de la creme.

You have Jules, the grumpy lawyer. Bennett the adorable and a little heartbroken eternal optimist. Haydn, the outdoor photographer and "glue that holds them all together". And then you have Rosie: the youngest Forrester who is always scheming in one way or another.

Thanks to Rosie's scheming Lia finds herself in a bit of a Goldilocks scenario. She planned to get away from the spotlight and decompress--what better way than spending a week on an uninhabited island? Except the Forrester brother's also planned a trip to their family cabin that same week. On that same island. Soon she is well on her way to finding her her mr. juuust right.

The way the brothers seamlessly insert Lia into their lives made my heart melt. The way they helped her find herself again was heartwarming all while being their silly selves. I was laughing the whole way through.

Thank you Kaylee Baldwin for the eARC. This review was all my own thoughts and opinions.

This book was a lot of fun! Very much a spunky and entertaining modern retelling of Goldilocks, set in Alaska, with the spin of a rom-com. The characters, their dynamics together, the setting, and the plot setup were all enjoyable. I especially liked things like the reference to Jules being like Snape, haha.

The story was little cheesy and trope-y, of course, but there are also nice sub-themes about things like family and home. Mostly, I liked its wit --- the things about Haydn making Lia want to curl up like a kitten in his sunshine; the idea of Lia creating a metaphorical litmus test for a relationship; "when Lia had fallen, all thoughts of nearly kissing her had flown from his mind. Well, maybe not flown, but at least landed in a tree branch somewhere..."; etc.

Overall, it's a fast and easy read! Alternative music fans instead of country fans may think of Little Hurt's "Alaska" while reading it, haha. It is a fun and fluffy romance novel and another great installment from Kaylee Baldwin (:

First of all, this book was a bit of a Goldilocks and the Three Bears retelling. I'm not sure I've ever read a retelling of that tale before, but it was interesting to see it turned into a contemporary romance. Unexpected (even though the title probably should have tipped me off), but fun.

The story behind this beautiful cover is a Hallmark-like tale of a famous musician, our female lead, in a serious tailspin in her life. The poor girl needed a hug and three boxes of chocolate desperately. Instead, due to some purposeful miscommunications, she finds herself with an island and three brothers she has to share it with. Jules was definitely my favorite of the three brothers, but I loved the chemistry between Lia and Haydn. It's a fun, breezy story just like the cover suggests (and deserves).

Note to more sensitive readers: I don't recall anything objectionable.
I received a copy of this novel from the author. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.

Anyway, if you're looking for island romance escapism, this is the book for you!

This story was so cute. A famous singer falling for a small-town guy who has no idea who she is? I was in immediately. I loved the setup of her escaping to a super remote place in Alaska—and especially that it wasn’t just the MMC who showed up, but his brothers too. Having them all stuck together added so much fun, warmth, and depth to the story and made the forced proximity feel fresh instead of repetitive.

Yes, the romance is very insta-love since it all happens over about a week, but I still enjoyed watching their connection grow. There were so many little moments that showed how compatible they were—like the bed she stayed in being the one that fit her perfectly while the others didn’t. Small details like that really worked for me.

I do think some of the conflict near the end pulled focus away from the romance after the third-act breakup, but the ending was sweet and showed real emotional growth for both characters. Overall, it was a charming, feel-good read that I really enjoyed.

Shout out to those who binge watch rom-coms and love to quote them!!
Kaylee Baldwin has shared a fantastic story with a twist of Goldilocks and those three bears...
The background is scenery were so well written I could picture them in my mind.
I found myself rooting for each of the different characters and their trials and joys.
I really like novels with both points of view shared of the main characters. It shows that boys have feelings and emotions just as much as girls do. And we all make choices based on our perspective of the situation. Sometimes what we think we see is not always what happened...

Aurelia Halifax desperately needs a break from her life. Her best friend stole her songs while having an affair with her now ex-boyfriend and she just needs to get away from everything for awhile. Aurelia decides on a vacation from human contact on a small island where she can rest and rejuvenate.

Unfortunately for Aurelia’s plans, what she finds when she arrives at her hut are the three Forrester brothers. Forced to stay with the brothers, it isn’t long before she starts forming a bond with Hayden. These two have chemistry that’s undeniable and by the end of the book you really look forward to their HEA.

A delight from start to finish! I cracked up over the three Forrester brothers who had such distinctive and sometimes quirky personalities. When Aurelia arrived at their empty cabin (which Aurelia had rented from their sister unbeknownst to her brothers) and tried out the beds--one too hard, one too soft, and one that was just right--it was reminiscent of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. Thankfully Aurelia didn't run away and she got along with everyone once they adjusted to her presence. It was such a fun story with an appealing romance between Aurelia and Haydn Forrester. I hope we will have more stories about the other two brothers. Would make a great beach read!

Wow! I was blown away by this book! The drama pulls you in from the beginning, lulls you into a peaceful evolving week of change, and dumps you back into lives that will never be the same again! It was the best journey! I loved Lia and Hadyn. They were real, vulnerable, broken in different ways, and yet saw beauty all around them. I loved their artistic ways of interpreting that beauty also! The supporting characters, his brothers, exes, her family, and tons of fans added to the well thought out drama and storyline. The Forresters were simply the best!!! I can't wait for you to meet them all! Pick up this book! Now! It's soooo good ♥️
