sangat menghibur, apalagi ketika ia, bermain petak umpet ketika dikejar2

I was introduced to this classic comic by my son this morning, who shoved it into my hands after breakfast and asked me to read to him. It is an old comic translated from French, written by Peyo, creator of The Smurfs.

It's a silly, gag-filled fantasy about a little boy with fantastic strength who goes on a meandering adventure in an attempt to stop a gang of criminals who are running a taxi company as a front for their criminal activities.

It's ridiculous. It hardly has a plot, seeming to change from page to page based on whatever whim Peyo had that day that could potentially lead to more gags.

But I had an absolute blast reading it to my children. We laughed and laughed all the way through, sitting and snuggling for nearly an hour. Worth it.

It was nice. I liked the bit where he smashed the red taxis.

A very interesting beginning to the series. The book is very quirky and fun. But, there is definitely a sense of something being lost in the translation here. Not sure how kids would relate to this one.

Excellent linework, etc. The character and his abilities allow for some entertaining and mildly amusing adventures, but I wasn't completely enamored. Originally published in 1960.
