this manga is cheesy and cringe worthy and full of so many cliche tropes/scenes but…i kind of love it. mainly because of how awkward and weird all the characters are. and also i have a soft spot for cheesy romcoms

Auf in die nächste Runde von Ninos und Kiras Geschichte. Nach Band 1 war klar, dass ich mir Band 2 recht schnell ausleihe und verschlinge.
Ich mag Nino sehr. In diesem Band ergreift sie die Initiative und unterstützt Kira mit allem, was ihr möglich ist. Das war herzergreifend und schön. Sie ist über sich selbst hinausgewachsen und hat versucht, mit Yabe indirekt zu vermitteln. Aber der ist ein sturer Charakter mit narzisstischen Charakterzügen. Doch irgendwie scheint er nicht ganz so kalt zu sein, wie er immer tut. Aber seit Kira sich mit Nino angefreundet hat, legt er diesem Steine in den Weg. Und Nino versucht ihr Bestes, um Kira dabei zu helfen, seine Träume umzusetzen.
Die beiden werden immer mehr zu einem Dream Team und Nino erkennt, dass ihre Gefühle, über die der Freundschaft hinausgehen. Doch ist ihr auch bewusst, dass Kira bereits eine andere liebt, weswegen sie ihm diese nicht gestehen würde.
Es wird zudem aufgeklärt, in wen Kira verliebt ist und mit wem er eine Beziehung führt. Wer das war, hatte ich mir auch so denken können, ohne, dass der Charakter einmal vorgestellt wurde. Ich mochte sie schon von diesem Gedankenspiel heraus nicht. Als sie dann jedoch auftrat, wollte ich ihr sehr gerne eine klatschen. Wie kann man nur so unmenschlich und grausam sein. Kein Mensch hat verdient, dass so mit ihm gespielt wird.
Interessant und amüsant fand ich auch die Vorstellung von Kiras Vater/Mutter. Ich kann mich nicht entscheiden, als was ich diesen nun wahrnehmen soll. Aber er ist ein toller und amüsanter Charakter. Ich hoffe sehr, dass wir mehr von ihm in den nächsten Bänden erleben werden. Er heitert die doch sehr angespannte Atmosphäre etwas auf. Gefehlt hat mir dieses Mal Ninos Mutter. Ihre quirlige Art hat nämlich denselben Effekt. 😉
Auf Band 3 freue mich bereits jetzt schon riesig! Bin gespannt, wie das Drama mit der Geliebten/Freundin von Kira weitergeht. Das steht bestimmt so einiges an Anspannung bevor…

Kira’s father is so beautiful!!! It seems funny family so I like them. But I don’t want to see that Kira stay with Mio! I hope Kira will love Nino.

Ich muss ja immer wieder gestehen, dass mich Rin Mikimotos Cover überhaupt nicht anziehen. Das war schon bei Kuss um Mitternachts so. Der Zeichenstil innen gefällt mir dabei schon wesentlich besser. Wobei man merkt, dass dieser sich von Close to Heaven zu 0Kiss unglaublich entwickelt hat. Doch ihr Erzählstil ist einfach nur wunderbar.
Protagonisten
Ninon ist 15 Jahre alt und immer allein, weil sie alle komisch finden. Schließlich sitzt ein "ausgestopfter" Vogel auf ihrer Schulter. Die Reaktionen ihrer Mitmenschen sind der Grund für ihre große Unsicherheit.
Kira, ebenfalls 15 Jahre alt ist in der Schule ein absoluter Draufgänger. Er hat das Gefühl den Starken markieren zu müssen, da ihn ein trauriges Geheimnis runterzieht. Eigentlich ist er aber eine Heulsuse.
Fazit
Die liebe Ninon wächst für Kira mächtig über sich hinaus. Dabei versteht sie selbst nicht, wieso. Momentan ist Sensei, der Sittich mein absoluter Favorit. Er bringt so viel Witz und gute Ratschläge, dass der Name hervorragend zu ihm passt.

Ich habe fast mehr als ein Jahr gewartet, um diesen Band zu lesen!!
Ich mag Kiras Vater: er sieht sehr nett aus. Der Sittich ist aber ein bisschen unangenehm. Ich kann nicht erklären, warum. Vielleicht ist er fehl am Platz: die Geschichte ist sehr traurig aber es gibt ein sprechenden Sittich, DUH!
Ich weiß nicht, was ich über die Krankenschwester denken. Ich mag sie nicht! Jetzt will ich Band 3 lesen.

I am enjoying this a lot, my feelings from the first volume stand I just wish she wasn't in love with him already... That kind of cheapins it for me. Maybe cause I like men to fall first also. But what the Nurse said... wild wtf is wrong with adults sometimes.

Some surprisingly dark tones for what seemed to be a fluffy shojo.. death, inappropriate adult/ teen relationship. Art improved since Nino cut her bangs 😅

This volume’s focus is on how Kira-Kun is in love with someone else.
It starts with Kira-Kun texting Ninon that he might not make it to school because he has something to do. Doc thinks he might have plans with the girl he likes. Yabe seems even more worried about Kira being gone than Ninon and drags her along with him to follow Kira-Kun. They see him meet a woman at a cabaret club, whom Yabe assumes is seducing him. It upsets him so much that he goes home.
Ninon sticks around because the whole thing seems weird to her. That’s when Kira shows up, and we find out he knew they were following him. Then he introduces her to the woman he is with, and it turns out it’s his dad. He and Ninon chat alone at one point, and he asks her to look after his son because he is his greatest treasure.
Afterward, she tells Kira that she felt sad and lonely at school without him; he then acts like he’s about to kiss her, but instead smushes her face, saying, You can't just say that stuff to a guy, since he might kiss you. Then he tells her to go home without him; he has to be somewhere, and we see he is at the school nurse’s office, and she is the mystery woman that Kira likes.
Kira decides he wants to participate in a school event and volunteers to be on the festival committee, and convinces Ninon to join him. Sadly, no one else really wants to join; he even cries over it, which makes Ninon determined to get people involved.
There’s a great scene where Kira shows up at Nino’s right after she’s bathed. He insists on blow-drying her hair and kisses her bare neck, which totally embarrasses Ninon. Right after that, he gets a text and says she has to leave, and that it has to do with the woman he loves.
Ninon accidentally sees him and the nurse together; Kira doesn’t see her, but the nurse does. The nurse confronts Ninon and basically tells her to stay quiet, but also she isn’t serious about Kira since he’s going to die soon. Of course, this upsets Ninon, since he’s made it known that he loves her. The whole thing has Ninon so upset that she is mean to Kira, slapping his hand away when he tries to get her attention. He feels so bad about it, and then she finds out he is in the hospital the next day.
While Kira is in the hospital, Ninon rallies to get people to join, and when she finally does the other teacher shuts it down because their application was too late. It’s sad because she had gotten Kira’s hopes up by telling him they had people who had joined. When he goes looking for Ninon, he finds her in a closet hiding because she feels so bad about it. When he sees her face, he licks her tears and tells her to stop crying, or he will keep licking her. Then he hugs her and tells her he made her feel like her dreams are achievable, and that’s enough for him. Then he gets her to smile again. She feels so happy, and her chest is filled with warm feelings, but she’s still worried about the school nurse.
