Elizabeth Bentley has sacrificed a lot to play the role of perfect wife to her highly successful husband. Until one evening, she finds a letter from Don Bentley addressed to his wife…and it’s not Elizabeth’s name on the envelope.
Before Elizabeth can wrap her brain around the mysterious other woman, her husband vanishes on the eve of their anniversary. The police turn up at Elizabeth’s door, telling her there has been an accident. However, there’s one big Don Bentley’s body is nowhere to be found.
As the investigation into his disappearance escalates, the police are increasingly convinced that Elizabeth is responsible for murdering her husband. But she knows better…and so does the other wife.
Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, Gina LaManna has also called Italy and Los Angeles home. After studying numbers and equations in college, she realized multiple choice tests were “just not for her” and began writing books instead. She loves cappuccino foam and whipped cream and would subsist solely on sprinkles if possible. She currently lives in St. Paul with her wonderful husband and family.
This popcorn thriller boasted a strong premise but was too slow-paced for this fastidious popcorn thriller's palate.
Compelling premise: * Husband disappears on the eve of a couple's anniversary * Husband has more than one wife. * Husband's body was never retrieved. Is he dead or alive?
The first two hours of the audiobook were spent addressing the question of "Where is my husband?"
I listened to the audiobook, narrated by Tegan Ashton Cohan.
Although Tegan Ashton Cohan's performance was good, the book would have benefited from two narrators since it unfolded from two POVs.
Special thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I should have known.....books that have the tag "A Twisty, page-turning psychological thriller" always are so B rated-make that C rated. This is like a made for TV movie--but not even a good channel, maybe like made for the CW channel. The writing was so elementary, and I say that as a person who is no where close to nit picky when it comes to prose. Repeated phrases and 5th grade level text. Two women find out their husband is missing and come to find out its the same man! One has lived a life of privalege and the other is barely scraping by.Once the truth comes out it is even more sinister/twisted than you can imagine. The premise of this book was really good, however the execution was very pedestrian. The ending I was really hoping for a big twist or something shocking, but it was very anti climatic.
This must be the Summer of dumb women,...I have read so many books this summer where women allow men to walk all over them. I mean your husband claims to be on "busines" 70% of the time...and never picks up his phone on the weekends? Dumb Dumb Dumb.....
Don't be like these women, dont waste your time on this book.
Thank you net galley for allowing me to review this advanced copy of The Double Wife. Iwas no paid for my honest original review.
Accidentally inhaled this one. Paced perfectly. This man needs to get punched. I loved the execution of the story, how the plot developed, and how it continued to thicken. It was plot twist after twist. This is a must read for thriller lovers.
Jaw on the floor. This book doesn’t give you a break.
It gives me Freida McFadden vibes in the best ways.
I need to read all her books now. And get this one on my shelf. I enjoyed every page of this treat.
Thank you for the ARC! I appreciate the opportunity to leave honest feedback voluntarily.
Man this book was so unhinged but in such a good way. And my goodness I flew through this book! This is one of the few times I actually wouldn’t have minded it if it were a little longer. But the author did a great job setting up a mystery and supplying the suspects. Just overall a really good domestic thriller that will have you flying through it. If you like Frieda McFadden this book is for you! Thanks NetGalley for the arc of this one was not disappointed!!!!
*ALC provided via NetGalley in exchange of an honest review*
What would you do if police showed up on your door one night and told you that your husband is missing/presumed dead, when you thought he had just went to work? What if you fell down a rabbit hole and found out he was hiding a whole family behind your back?
You can't help but to feel bad for Elizabeth throughout the book - but as I went on, I found myself feeling really sorry for Corinne too. The two have to team up to find out what happened to their husband. But could one of them be lying? Is one hiding him? Did one KILL him?
I do have to say, I think the end got a tiny bit muddled, but it still made sense and I still enjoyed the book. I just wish it had been a little cleaner but that is just my personal preference.
The narration on this was fantastic. I really enjoyed her and how she brought both women to life.
Thank you to NetGalley, Dreamscape Media, and Gina LeManna for allowing me to listen and review! Looking forward to more by this author for sure!
I really enjoyed this one! The Double Wife kept me hooked from the very beginning and I flew through it because I just had to know what was going on. I’ll admit I saw the plot twist coming a little past the halfway point, but honestly, that didn’t take anything away from the story. It was still really well written, with great pacing and enough suspense to keep me reading late at night. If you like twisty domestic thrillers, I highly recommend giving this one a read!
I received a complimentary copy and all opinions expressed are pine.
What a twisty read that kept me fully engrossed from start to finish. The book follows Elizabeth who discovers on the night of their wedding anniversary that her husband has another wife. To top it off her man goes missing and in order to find out what happened she has to track and or work with the other wife.Don't walk but run to get yourself this book.
Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy in exchange for a honest review.
The Double Wife was full of twists and turns from the start. We meet Elizabeth who is getting ready to celebrate an early anniversary with her husband Don who is late to dinner. Elizabeth stumbles upon a note addressed to his loving wife, but when she reads it it's instead addressed to Corinne and she finds a pager (who even uses those anymore). She now starts to discover that her loving husband was apparently loving on someone else too. Things keep getting worse for Elizabeth, next thing she knows the police are showing up at her door informing her that Don is dead, but they haven't recovered a body. Elizabeth wonders who this other wife is and takes matters into her own hands, maybe not the best idea.
This book took so many turns, but in the best way possible. Just when you thought you had it figured out another twist appeared. I throughly enjoyed this one and the journey it took me along.
So many secrets .. wow I never saw that coming. This was a pretty fast paced thriller of a book. With great characters to lead up to the crazy ending..perfect
Thanks to the author, the publisher and Netgalley for a early release of this book
The Double Wife hooks you right away! A twisty web of mystery, deceit, and just the right amount of messiness from the characters. Easy to follow, intriguing and quickly paced. Audio narrated by Tegan Ashton Cohan is easy to listen to and understand. Highly recommend!
Thank you NetGalley for this audio arc! From the beginning I was hooked! Throughout the book I didn’t know who I wanted to blame or be mad at I swear I was torn going back and forth. The way this audio kept me engaged was awesome! In the end you can say I was shook because it was not what I was expecting!
I loved this book! A vanishing husband, a rival wife, and the question of who is telling the truth…these elements create an atmospheric mystery that grips early. This book was intriguing and captivating, a must read this summer!
The book kept my interest to the end. Story told clearly from perspectives of main characters. The ending tied up the loose ends. Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced copy. Moms reviewed
Ehhh, started out with potential but then went nowhere pretty fast. Giving this one a 2.9, not because I thought the plot was good (it wasn’t), but mainly because I liked the way the book was narrated. The whole story and plot were so unbelievable and with all of holes in it, the book ended up not making much sense or being enjoyable. A woman named Elizabeth finds a card addressed to another woman named Corinne from her husband Don on their 20 yr anniversary. On the same night she realizes her husband is missing. She is determined to find out everything she can about this Corinne woman so she flies to CA only to discover her husband had a double life and Corinne is his second wife. The two women swap stories and compare their lives as they work together to find their missing husband. Even though they don’t trust each other, they drive out to a remote cabin looking for him. Shortly later, they find out Don has been murdered and each woman blames the other woman’s child for the murder. Like I said before, the plot is so ridiculously unbelievable and repetitive that it took all the joy right out of this book for me. Of course it ended horribly and the epilogue offered no redemption. I was just happy to finish it.
Meh. I was hoping for more. I thought there would be a more engaging story line, but the “other wife” seemed drab, annoying and so, so depressing. She was all “woe is me” - um, lady, you know you’re the side piece. We don’t feel sorry for you. Her daughter was annoying too. This one fell very short for me. However, I did read it fast - I kept reading it bc I hoped there would be more!
So I grabbed a few audiobooks for the weekend that were only mildly interesting . When I started it was a basic domestic thriller but I settled it. Then we started to get introduced to other characters. Full disclosure, I don’t have my name in many books as characters so 100% this book with the use of “Corinne” got me fully engaged and I’m glad it did.
This book had many twists and turns and it was smartly platted and written. I enjoyed it from “beginning” to end. It was narrated by Tegan Ashton Cohan and she did a fabulous job. She spoke at a an ok pace but I quickly sped it up after assessing the different voices she used for the various characters. They were all appropriate and consistent. I especially like the snark and angst used for the teenage characters
In all this was a solid thriller and a good audiobook presentation. It comes out July 15th 2025 (or possibly August 1 as there are conflicting dates posted) so get your copy asap and support indie authors!
I am thankful to have gotten a complimentary audio ALC from Dreamscape Media through NetGalley to read which gave me the opportunity to voluntarily leave a review.
My general rating system is below. Since I primarily read ARC books I rate according to how I think like minded readers will receive the book. I will round up or down depending on many factors and try not to let my personal wants affect a books ratings.
⭐️ Hated It but pushed through as so don’t DNF ARCs I have received. ⭐️⭐️ Had a lot of trouble, prose issues, content issues, poorly edited. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Meh, it was an ok read but it had something that stopped me from rounding up. Usually the book may have much more potential than what was given. I recommend it but with reservations. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I Really enjoyed it or think others will. These are solid reads that I definitely would recommend for a variety of reasons. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding! These are books that remain rent free in my head for well after unfinished the book. It can be for a variety of reasons from being very well written or just the vibes that captured my mind. These books are also ones I would probably read again.
Title: The Double Wife Author: Gina La Manna Format: 🎧 Narrator: Tegan Ashton Cohan Publisher: Dreamscape Media Genre: Psychological Thriller Audiobook Pub Date: July 15, 2025 My Rating: 4.3 Stars Pages 333
Story is told from the POV of Elizabeth and Corinne.
Elizabeth Bentley believes she is the perfect wife to her highly successful husband. Don, the CFO for a large tech company. However, one evening, she finds a letter from Don to his wife… but it isn’t to her but another woman. Elizabeth doesn’t know the best way to approach Don about this.
One evening two police officers appear at the front door and inform Elizabeth there has been an accident involving her husband. A couple is out walking near the lake and spot the ice crack and watch as an ‘ice hut’ sinks. They believe someone is in the hut and call 911. Don loves to ice fish and his car is parked nearby, it is believed Don was in the hut. However, after a search of the lake they have not found a body. Elizabeth is in shock as Don never told her he was going ice fishing and they planned to go out for a pre-anniversary dinner that evening. As the police investigate, they believe Don is dead although his body is never found. Elizabeth believes he staged the whole thing o now begins her own investigation!
Narrator Tegan Ashton Cohan did a great job performing the characters especially the teenage girls with their typical teenage typical attitude. At first I had a difficult time with the voices of Elizabeth and Corinne as they were so similar but the story ‘had’ me so I quickly knew who was speaking by the foul language!
There were surprises!! In fact, much BETTER than what I expected! My first Gina La Manna but I am looking forward to her next story. Hmm Book #2 of this would be interesting.
I want to thank NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for granting me this audiobook. Publishing Release Date scheduled for July 15, 2025.
Quite the suspenseful read. A woman's husband goes missing. The police believe he's dead, but she knows better. The same day she learns that he's presumed dead, she discovers something that reveals her husband has been keeping secrets from her. So, now, she not only is trying to find out what happened to her husband, but also trying to learn the truth about that secret. There are a few twists throughout. A lot of trust issues... who to believe and who's conning who. Also what to believe. There's a keep your friends close, but your enemies closer deal happening. It will definitely keep you wondering how it will all play out. And has an ending that may surprise you.
The main character, Elizabeth, is smart and while she may have not have known what her husband was doing, she has the brains to do some investigating on her own. (With a little help from her daughter.) The other woman, Corinne, is something else, in my opinion. She is literally The Other Woman, but acts like she's The Main Woman. Like she 'had him first.' It kinda grated on my nerves how she thought she deserved so much more because she had a child with the man. The man who was already married with children. She was jealous because Elizabeth had more and better things. (Though Elizabeth had money of her own that had nothing to do with the husband.) I'm not saying Corinne deserved to be treated like trash or anything, but her feelings of entitlement irked me. But... that is how the mentality of the world is in today's society. Anywho, she did not endear herself to me, and that made the ending a little unsettling. But maybe I'm just cold hearted. lol
Overall, the book kept me on my toes trying to anticipate what was going to happen. It's a 'clean' read. No sexual content and no violence on the pages. It alternates POV's between the two women. Despite my dislike of a character, it's a well written story that was easy to read, and kept you enthralled.
A popcorn thriller (in the best way!) starring two very different, but equally watchable, women and the (absent, but very felt) husband they share(d). While the ending didn't work for me, the ride was so fun it's still a 4!
Premise - After her husband, Don, disappears in the eve of their anniversary, Elizabeth Bentley becomes the police’s number one suspect. There are just two problems with their investigation: there’s no body and Elizabeth isn’t Don’s only wife.
While Elizabeth and Don lived the high life, Corinne is a lifelong con woman who married Don after he knocked her up 18 years ago, and has been living an unexceptional middle class lifestyle with him ever since. Now Elizabeth and Corinne have to team up to figure out what happened to Don, before his disappearance irreversibly upends their lives.
The voice was delicious and the pacing immaculate. If I could have binged this in one sitting I would have, but life intervened! Even so, it was a two day read (or listen, in my case).
Unfortunately, the ending fell apart for me - I just didn't buy it, especially one of the characters' self talk/rationalizations in the epilogue. That's just not how a person would react, at least not in that first moment of surprise. Anger would have come first, or something bigger and less considered than what happened.
I listened to the audiobook, narrated by Tegan Ashton Cohan. She did a great job of making Corinne and Elizabeth distinct characters, both in their voices and the personality of their speech. It made it easy to follow the story and both women were fascinating to watch! This is an easy audiobook to lose yourself in, I highly recommend.
Thanks, NetGalley and Dreamscape Media, for the audio ARC in exchange for an honest review.
★★★☆☆ 2.5 stars rounded up The Double Wife by Gina LaManna has an intriguing premise: Elizabeth Bentley has sacrificed everything to be the perfect wife to her successful husband, Don—until she finds a letter addressed to “his wife”… but it’s not her name on the envelope. Before she can even process the existence of this other woman, Don disappears on the eve of their anniversary. The police arrive to tell Elizabeth there’s been an accident—yet his body is missing. Soon, she becomes their prime suspect. But she knows she didn’t kill him… and so does the other wife.
The premise hooked me, but the execution fell short. I was torn between giving this 2 or 3 stars. The pacing dragged, the dialogue was often repetitive, and I found many of the interactions implausible—like the police relying on Elizabeth to do their work. Weird phrasing pulled me out of the story (“without further ado”?). Neither wife felt particularly likable or sympathetic, and the constant back-biting between them got old fast. Corrine’s anger over Elizabeth’s wealth didn’t make much sense, especially given much of it was hers to begin with. Sympathy for a two-timing husband was in short supply, and the lack of his perspective left a gaping hole—why did Don do it? Everyone claimed he was a good guy, yet nothing supported that.
The ending was anti-climactic and the epilogue offered little closure. I read quickly because I hoped for a big twist—my own theory (Nancy and Don faking his death) would’ve been far more satisfying—but instead it read like a Lifetime movie. In the end, this was an easy, fast read, but lacked the depth, shock, or emotional pull I was hoping for.
Thank you to the author, the publisher (LaManna Books), and NetGalley for the ARC.
ARC Review The Double Wife: a twisty, page-turning psychological thriller by Gina LaManna ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🗓️ Release Date: July 15, 2025 Format: 🎧 Audio
A binge-worthy psychological thriller packed with jaw-dropping twists and two unforgettable women at its core. The Double Wife is one of those addictive reads (or listens) that keeps you guessing until the very last page.
When Elizabeth Bentley’s husband, Don, vanishes on the night of their anniversary, suspicion immediately falls on her. But there are two complications: no body… and Don isn’t just Elizabeth’s husband—he’s also married to Corinne, a con artist with her own messy history with Don.
Elizabeth lives a life of polished perfection and privilege, while Corinne’s existence is far more modest and gritty. These two women, worlds apart, are forced to join forces to uncover the truth about the man they both thought they knew. What follows is a tightly woven mystery full of tension, deception, and revelations you won’t see coming.
Tegan Ashton Cohan’s narration in the audiobook is stellar—she gives each woman a clear, distinct voice, making the dual perspectives easy to follow and completely immersive. Her performance brings both Elizabeth and Corinne to life, capturing their personalities, flaws, and emotional arcs with precision. Honestly, if I could’ve listened to it all in one sitting, I would have!
It’s the kind of twisty story that lingers after the final chapter, leaving you with questions—and maybe even hoping for a sequel.

✨Audiobook Review✨ 📖 The Double Wife ✍️ Gina Lamanna 📅 Publication: July 15, 2025 🎤 Tegan Ashton Cohan
𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐬 Elizabeth Bentley has given up so much to be the perfect wife to her wildly successful husband. But everything changes the night she discovers a letter from Don Bentley, addressed to his wife. The problem? The name on the envelope isn’t hers. Before Elizabeth can make sense of this mysterious “other wife,” Don disappears without a trace on the night of their anniversary. When the police arrive at her door, they inform her that there’s been an accident. But there’s one glaring issue: Don’s body is missing. As the investigation deepens, suspicion quickly turns to Elizabeth. The authorities are certain she murdered her husband. But Elizabeth knows the truth… and so does the other wife. 𝐌𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 Gina LaManna did such a great job blending suspense with strong character work. I went into this book with no expectations, and although I predicted most of the ending, I still really enjoyed it. The journey was engaging and held my attention the whole way through. The audiobook is fantastic. Tegan Ashton Cohan’s narration blew me away. She gives each woman such a distinct voice that it’s effortless to tell them apart, and she makes the dual POVs so engaging. Both Elizabeth and Corinne felt real and layered, and her performance captured their emotions and flaws perfectly. Overall, a solid domestic thriller with plenty of tension and an audiobook that makes it even more immersive.
Thank You @Netgalley and @dreamscape_media for allowing me to review this ALC.
The Double Wife grabs you from the beginning and holds you until the very end. This story line is keeps you turning pages - you are hooked. Elizabeth Bentley and her two children live a comfortable life in a gated community. It is her anniversary and their personal chef prepared a special dinner for Elizabeth and her husband Don. When her husband doesn't show up and the police come to the door to advise her that her husband is dead. Drowned ice fishing in the lake. But she knows that can't be true even though the evidence seems to be there. Is she in denial? She feels he's still alive but she did find a pager and a note to Corinne his wife. What? Elizabeth is dead set on finding the truth. Who is this Corrine, what does it mean wife? With so many twists and turns and finally coming face to face with this other wife, neither one trusting the other, the only way they can find Don and get some answers is to work together. What Elizabeth finds out about Corinne from the detective really makes her wonder if she killed Don herself? Corinne who has a daughter and lives on the other side of the country in a very modest home, struggling to get by not only dislikes Elizabeth, but she is very jealous of the way she lives since Don is not so generous with her. With so many twists and turns and surprises in such a convoluted way, you just can't put the book down until you come to a surprise ending! Wow, this is a really good read that keeps you so totally engaged that you are immersed in the action! I recommend this really good twisted read. I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
Elizabeth Bentley is married to the very wealthy Don, CFO for a tech company. Tonight they will be celebrating their anniversary at home with a dinner prepared by their chef. Don doesn’t show and Elizabeth wonders if work has delayed him. Two detectives come to the door to say that Don’s ice hut was on a nearby lake today and sunk. Elizabeth insists that as it has been a warm spring, Don wouldn’t risk being on the ice. A big storm is approaching and the detectives cannot try to search for him until it passes. Their teenage children, Amanda and Ross are concerned about their father.
Searching through Don’s things, she comes across a pager and a letter addressed ”To My Wife” with a love note inside to Corinne.
Santa Barbara, California
Corinne Klein teaches yoga barely making enough money to keep herself and her teen daughter, Justine going. But she knows about Elizabeth and her husband’s other family. However, he goes by another name with her.
When Elizabeth learns about Corinne, she heads to California to confront her. That’s when the two women start to clash but both are interested in finding out what happened to Donald.
I grew tired of the back-biting dialogue between these two women that never seemed to get anywhere. I stayed with the story and found the ending to be rather implausible. The author has certainly written quite a number of books. This is the first one I have read by her. I look forward to trying another of her books sometime in the future and hope this one was just a one-off for me.

The Double Wife: a twisty, page-turning psychological thriller could have been quite the thriller, a love triangle with smart and fierce women doing their best to come out on top for a true prize of a man and father. Instead, this is a chaotic story of two wholly unlikeable women who don't trust each other and are searching for a man they're supposedly both married to. I had had very little respect for wife #1, because she was a doormat and willing to forgive way too much, and was kind of scared of wife #2, because she seemed like a money-grubbing piece of you know what. Even worse, the children somehow become involved and the twisty absurdity becomes overwhelming.
I blazed through this book, hoping it would get better, but I got to the end and it was all wrapped up in a big WTF did I just read? It was underwhelming and weird, not at all the "twisty, page-turning psychological thriller" we were promised, and the meh writing took it a level lower, because it never quite hit the mark.
I had never heard of Gina LaManna before being offered this book, but it appears she has quite the portfolio of books. I might need to find another to see how representative The Double Wife: a twisty, page-turning psychological thriller is of her work.
This was my first book by author Gina LaManna. If all her books are like this one, sign me up for more!! As a lover of psychological thrillers, this book was a delicious surprise that I gobbled up in one sitting! Filled with so many twists and turns the hits just kept on coming.
On the eve of their anniversary, Elizabeth is waiting for her husband Don to return home for dinner when she comes across a letter addressed to his wife. There is only one problem. The name on the envelope is not hers. While trying to wrap her head around what she has just found, there is a knock on the door. Elizabeth opens it, to find there are police officers on her doorstep, and she is informed that Don has been in an accident and is missing.
As an investigation gets underway, Elizabeth takes matters into her own hands. Convinced the secrets lie with her, she sets out to find the other wife.
I had so much fun with this book that I did not want it to end. The author did a tremendous job crafting such believable characters that I felt a range of emotions for each of them throughout. There were even moments when I found myself rooting for people you would not expect. It is safe to say that the author toys with your emotions and psyche from cover to cover and it is such a wild and delightful ride.
A big thank you to Dreamscape Media for the ALC of this audio book. It was a fabulous presentation and narrator Tegan Ashton Cohan was perfection. She did an amazing job reading and bringing this story and the characters to life.
𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆: On the eve of her 20th anniversary, Elizabeth’s husband Don doesn’t come home. Police arrive at her door suspecting an accident has taken his life. Elizabeth is not convinced, especially after she finds a pager and a letter to “My Wife” in Don’s bedside drawer. Problem is, the letter isn’t made out to her, it’s made out to Corrine. This novel is about two women, their husbands and the truth.
𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: 💍 Third person POV/Dual Characters ✈️ Long con 💍 Family drama ✈️ Rivals working together
𝗠𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: I love immersion reads, especially when I get to say I enjoyed the audiobook more than the ebook. Narrator Tegan Ashton Cohan was great and perfectly executed the different characters voices and inflections. The writing was easy to follow and usually caused a compulsive need to keep reading. There were some lulls during the middle that seemed to drag on. I was pleasantly satisfied with the resolution and ending of this story- I did find the epilogue to be completely unnecessary and took from the superb ending of the final chapter. Add this quick popcorn thriller to your TBR! It’s great on audio and text, so your choice!
𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Elizabeth Bentley has perfected the role of being the perfect wife to her highly successful husband. They have it all - 2 kids, a beautiful estate, even a vacation home. The night that Elizabeth & her husband plan to celebrate their anniversary with a cozy dinner at home prepared by their chef, everything starts to unravel. Her husband never arrives home from work. Then she finds a letter from Don Bentley addressed to his wife… and it’s not Elizabeth’s name on the envelope. To cap it all off, the police turn up at Elizabeth’s door, telling her there has been an accident. However, there’s one big problem: Don Bentley’s body is nowhere to be found. As Elizabeth begins digging into who the person is that the letter was addressed to, she uncovers a web of lies. Don Bentley had a whole other family on the opposite side of the country. Now she needs to figure out if this wife knew about her, and if this wife was responsible for his disappearance (and possibly his death).
I love all of this author's books. This one was good, but I think I was expecting more suspense and a little more of a fast pace to it. This book had a slower pace, and it was as much about the two wives trying to manipulate/one-up/con/etc. each other, as it was about their husband's disappearance. Overall, the book was good, and definitely worth a read, just not my favorite book of this author's.
